Cool bar with a rustic yet modern vibe and a broad drink menu. Came here for a drink on a Saturday afternoon while exploring the Fillmore. It was a nice day so we started out sitting outside, it quickly got cool and we moved inside and grabbed a seat at the bar. They have a decent amount of outside seating with a handful of two tops and then a parklet, though the parklet wasn't open while we were in. Unfortunately the cool vibe of the inside doesn't translate to the outside tables, but still nice they have the option. Inside seating is plentiful and there were a number of tables for slightly larger parties. The spot is a little more self service with QR code ordering, but still friendly service from all. We ordered The Big G & Caipirinha, drinks were good but felt a little small, and were done in a few sips.
Cute little spot in Fillmore. There wasn't a lot of people when I went inside but it seems like a popular spot. Quite a few tables inside also. I set by the window when I came in. It was giving holiday vibes and a nice spot to catch up and have a chill night. They have a wonderful menu of drinks to choose from and also have a full bar. So they'll be able to satisfy any choice of drink.
Another bar I will definitely be returning to. This is a full bar, no snacks just cocktails. Cocktail selections are plentiful and so many unique ones as well! I got the buzz button no.2 which was SO COOL. You chew the flower to numb ur tongue and the flavor of the cocktail alters. I thoroughly enjoyed all their drinks and highly recommend. There's plenty of seating and bartenders were all so friendly! Service was great.
We came here to grab a drink during the Fillmore Jazz Fest. Surprisingly it wasn't packed so we were able to grab a table inside. They had tables outside, but since the weather was nice they were all taken. We walked in and were greeted right away. The place has a cool vibe and was very inviting. The waiter was very friendly and welcoming as well. We specifically came in to support of one of their bartenders and ordered the fundraiser cocktail. We also ordered the sakura so we could try something different. Both drinks looked and tasted great. We didn't have a chance to try anything else, but it's a spot I would definitely come back to for another cocktail.
Very sad that they changed their menu! We came for the chicken sandwich but found out they switched kitchens.. but honestly we were very pleased with the change. Service here is always very accommodating. I rarely make a reservation and never had an issue with a bar or window area. If you prefer an indoor table I'd definitely recommend making a reservation though! Place fills up pretty quickly and all their tables are reserved for reservations. We came on a Wednesday and it was just as busy! Now for their new menu - the tacos were excellent to me. I added the extra toppings and lovedddd it. I ordered one al pastor and one carne asada with the extra hot sauce (habanero I believe) and two was enough. The chips and guacamole were decent nothing to write home about but a good starter. The chicken quesadilla though was underwhelming. It was mostly cheese and not too much going but for the price you can't be mad about it! It felt like a kids meal quesadilla if you know what I mean!
Such a cute bar! The ambiance and decor is perfect. I love the large open windows. Such a fun place to sit, relax, and have a drink. I would definitely come here again!
Finally made a point to check this spot out after passing by numerous times and saying, "that place looks cute, we should check it out sometime!" I'm definitely glad we did. The Snug is a great name for this place, because it's such a cozy neighborhood gem that feels like a gorgeous art deco Tahoe cabin. Seating is relatively limited, so you'll definitely want to make a reservation, especially if you want to get food. It took a little time to get served, which wasn't surprising given how crowded it was. However, our server was very pleasant and helpful. For drinks, I ordered a negroni (been on a kick with these lately) and prickly pear, and enjoyed both quite a bit! The prickly pear in particular was excellent - the smokiness of the mezcal was perfectly balanced with the sweetness of the prickly pear. I also want to mention the monk on holiday cocktail that my partner enjoyed, which came with a mango sorbet sticking out of it! What's not to like about that? We both had smashburgers, and I had fries while she had the tots (love, by the way, that there are tots on the menu - the most underrated of sides). While the burger was good, it was a little well done and dry for my taste, and didn't quite have the juicy goodness of some of my favorite smashburgers. However, as hungry as I was, I certainly managed to put it down without much complaint. Overall, we had an excellent time at The Snug! The drinks are great, service is good, and it has a very fun, cozy atmosphere. We did find the music to be a bit loud, to the point we had to talk loudly across the table just to hear each other, which didn't quite jive with the cozy vibe of the interior. And while the burgers were a little underwhelming, these are all relatively small complaints. We will definitely be back!
i absolutely loved this bar. went here last minute on a thursday evening. the vibes, immaculate. ambiance, stupendous. everything from the lighting to the seating to the bar, it's a great place for a polite drink with a friend or two. our bartender/server was great-- shoutout tj. loved that there were so many cocktail options but not a ton of you don't necessarily enjoy mezcal for some reason? the happy hour menu looks great and i love their concept of "nine dollar nightcap" -- the last hour they have drinks for $9. i got the lemon bar drink which was SO GOOD. it is a bit on the heavier side since it is more dessert-y but it tasted so good. i also got the prickly pear which was also good, but again, heavy on the mezcal. highly recommend if you're looking for a homey bar. will definitely have to check out their happy hour!

Sat inside by the window as we were only in for one drink- definitely encapsulated the 'snug' vibe with the interior decor, all browns/neutral colors inside matched with wooden furniture, surprisingly spacious on the inside. Friendly service was able to sit us when we arrived without a reservation, we were only checking it out for a drink as we had dinner plans elsewhere nearby. Nice extensive menu of cocktails- opted for the tanghulu and the buzz button (i think) very impressed with the cocktails, loved the glasses and the presentation- the tanghulu was great with the candied strawberry on the side of the glass. Tasted and looked great. Definitely will be back.

We went late on a Saturday night just to grab a drink after dinner. It was busy so the only seats were low stools right by the window. A lot of the drinks sounded interesting - I went with the wild rosé. It was light and refreshing. My friends who don't drink alcohol got mocktails they enjoyed as well.
The snug was a great place to hang out and catch up with friends! It had a great atmosphere with house plants hanging from the ceiling and a nice looking bar! The drinks were really good too! We had this delicious coffee brown butter drink which was warm coffee and brown butter foam/cream on top! It was sooooo good! The service was also very good, several people came over to ask us how we were doing and take more orders. Also the snug is connected to taco primo which was super nice! We only got a small amount of guac I wish there was more in the order though! The churro fries were a good crunchy texture too!
My partner and I came here for lunch and drinks and ate outside. Overall, some good options for mocktails and pricy cocktails ($20+). I got the nitro margarita ($15) which was delicious. We got the chicken sandwich and the double burger respectively - both meals were good and came with a side, but are typical bar fare. We had come here about a year ago on a date and the food menu was pretty much the same. As far as service goes, for outside seating you order by QR code. It says to order water via QR but the only option is to charge you for sparkling. We had to go inside to request tap water. The tipping options still started at 22%; I have no problem with tipping but it would be great to at least provide a service. Overall, would recommend it for a casual dining experience or just drinks.
The Snug is a great bar with nice drinks and food. The tanghulu drink is so unique and it's so fun to drink. I got the cheese quesadilla, tater tots, and churros to eat. Everything was pretty good. The tater tots were really good and the quesadilla was cheesy. The churros were nice too and covered with chocolate. Amazing bar in SF. For my birthday we did a lot of bar hopping and this was the first stop. It looks like it's on the corner of a residential neighborhood. So yea there *might* be street parking? It's hard to say because we uber/lyfted all day. But when we got here I really loved the vibe. The peeps working here are polite and professional. For example I ordered a drink with a Szechuan button and a gentleman shortly came over to our corner and wanted to chat with me to make sure I knew how the drink worked. Luckily in Benicia there was a bar downtown that used for have a similar drink, so I reassured him that I definitely ordered it for the right reasons. I highly recommend it if you've never tried it. You bite a "Buzz Button" and it makes your tongue numb. So you drink first as is and then take a small bite of the flower and make sure it hits your tongue. Now that your tongue is numb you try the drink again to see how the drink has changed. I wish I remembered what the actual drink was that I had but if you see a small yellow flower attached to the drink thats the one. I posted a picture of it. The boulevardier cocktail I had was also delicious. It was basically a Negroni but swapped with Whiskey instead of Gin. This place is a must try for Cocktail enthusiasts. read more

The drink menu had tasty and intriguing cocktails; it was hard to choose just one and the Prickly Pear with mezcal won. It was totally unique and had a nice heat. Service was friendly and convivial, we felt welcome and relaxed. But I can't lie, I was disappointed the Wagyu burger, KFC and other tempting menu items weren't available. Instead, they outsource their food to Taco:Primo next door. The quesadilla was okay but parts of it stuck to the paper so I gave up. On the other hand The Incinerator fell in love with his burrito and he actually smiled between bites (he's usually more frenzied when he eats, he's a high calorie consuming swimmer). On the whole, the food was good, I just had to reset my expectations. And, the refried beans were so amazing I ordered another side. I believe they have pork in them and that's why they're carefully marked "not vegan". And they are dangerously delicious. Would we go to The Snug again, sure. The ambiance, the genuine friendliness, unpretentious crowd and unique drinks make The Snug a winner. read more

The Snug is another one of my favorite cocktail bars in the city. They have great cocktails that caters to all tastes and preferences. I tend to stick to the classics like the old fashioned or manhattan, and here you can get classic cocktails off the "baller menu" that features a rotation of high end spirits as their base. The bartenders are talented and friendly and remember their regulars. Definitely a great spot for dates or group hangouts! read more
Some of the best cocktails in the city! Friday night, the boyf and I are browsing yelp.... where can we have good food and good drinks without dropping so much money? Our two options were The Snug or The Rabbit Hole. We ended up going to The Snug because of the cocktail list and the bites were fitting the cravings more. We did not make a reservation but we were able to get seated quickly on the second floor counter top, which I did not mind despite the limited table space you have. You do get a good overview of the entire restaurant! The cocktails really blew me away. It was perfect and my palette... the creativity with the whiskey cocktail options... EUGHHHH!! We each got two drinks here and my favorite one was The Sour. It's so good - I love when sours are creamy and has a bit of sweetness to it. Boyf agrees that cocktails are superb! It's funny because we were expecting just mid food but everything we ordered was shockingly better than we thought. We got the brussel sprouts, popcorn chicken, and the chicken sandwich with salad all to share. It filled us both up! Have definitely been recommending this place to my fellow drinkees the minute I realized how good the cocktails are. read more

This place has very unique cocktails! I ordered the "tanghulu" which consisted of vodka, strawberry, pear, lemongrass, citrus. I was surprised to see that it actually came with a piece of strawberry tanghulu. I was very pleased with the flavors of this drink. Our party also got an order of tots to share. The tots were perfectly crispy. It came with a horseradish sour cream dip and ketchup. I loved the horseradish dip it was very light and airy and tasted amazing with the tots. The ambiance was great! A very casual and chill place to hangout. I would definitely come back. read more
Great cocktail bar! I think I could go here on a weekly basis to enjoy/try out their extensive and creative cocktail options! Had a great experience sitting at the bar and watching the mixologists perform their magic and craft their masterpieces! Even got to meet the main creator for several of the cocktails as he was working on a new recipe! Great service in all aspects! Also loved the spicy fried chicken sandwich! Great option for food here! One of the best chicken sandwiches I've had in SF! Atmosphere is casual, welcoming, and homey! Place was clean and well kept. Loved the pieces of nostalgia used as decor, wood finishes, the long bar, old fashion ceiling fans, and quirky aspects- such as alien abduction in the woods wallpaper by the restrooms! I definitely kept it snug at The Snug! It's up to par with other cocktail bars in the area but I do feel like they have their own hits and misses. My companion took me here after I got off work. The spot is spacious and clean with seating at the bar and tables in one area. Or a communal table and window seating on the other side. They also have plenty of outdoor seating. We chose to sit by the windows which beckoned natural light and a place to people watch. My main gripe is the 20% automated tip considering there is zero service from start to finish. You sit down, order and pay using their QR code, and receive your food and drinks from a runner--no interactions whatsoever which is sucky. Their QR code leads you to their lunch, dinner, and libations menu. Its comfort American and California fare is on the pricier end. Plus uniquely crafted cocktails. I enjoyed my drink and the Tots my companion and I shared--super crispy, not soggy, and good quality. We got Ketchup and Yuzu Mayo on the side. The Yuzu Mayo was phenomenally creamy and you could clearly taste the citrusy flavor. One more is they charge for their sauces so it does get costly! This is a solid option for a drink and bites for those in the Pac Heights or the surrounding area. Parking is on the street off Fillmore or surrounding areas. Ideal for pairs or small and large groups as it's inviting and roomy. Personally, I won't become a regular as the food and drinks are overpriced considering there's no service and a mandatory surcharge, but I'll come back on special occasions! read more
My husband and I were walking around the Fillmore District and came upon The Snug while on a search for brunch and honestly, a super yummy smash burger from the City. The Fillmore District has so many spots to tuck into, but don't let this one pass you completely by. We went on a day that it just so happened to be raining, so warm drinks and comfort food were in order! This spot hits the mark when it comes to cozy & cocktails, with a beautiful bar that takes front stage & is most def. the vibe. Highlights for us were the Crispy Brussel Sprouts (with roasted garlic miso aioli, $12) and the Wagyu Double Smash Cheeseburger (double wagyu beef patties, American cheese, dijonaise, arugula, challah bun, $18) with tater tots! Hit the spot for our cravings, and I would say worthy of consideration for a hidden gem to add to the list of smash burger favorites. Some smash burgers leave you wanting more, some leave your hands and shirt in a bit of a mess, and some you wish just stuck to the basics. This one will have you leaving satisfied and wanting a second round! To note: they don't accept cash tips, rather include a 20% Fair Wage Surcharge to the check - very cool and worth the quick, google research of how this helps their workers! All in all, for a chill afternoon with great service, unique cocktails and delicious bites, enjoy the Snug. (we were able to find parking on a side street, so if driving, check out a quick search of spots to park near Fillmore venue). Enjoy! read more
Came here for a friends birthday on the weekend night and was seating at one of the larger tables. It seems the upstairs section was not open for the night, and it was packed. However, even though it was packed, we received subpar service. My friend who is a regular there was a bit surprised at the lack of timely service. I didn't think the staff was overwhelmed, with some of them seeing to take a lax approach to the night when I personally would have thought they would be checking in on tables or checking for patrons that were looking for a server to place order and waiting minutes. I got one of their coffee espressos (the name might be off), but its was delicious and worth the expectations that my friend had set. I enjoyed my time here and probably would come back! read more
First time here! Got the aloe vera mocktail and crispy zucchini. The mocktail was really good and I love the glassware it came in. The crispy zucchini was okay. I'm not sure how much I like the dipping sauce though but the zucchini itself was well seasoned. Love that they expanded their parklet and that you can pay your tab individually by QR code (or keep your tab open and add more things). Each table in the parklet as its own heater though not sure how hot it gets as it is high up. Service was really quick and they continuously cleared our empty glasses and tableware. Tip is already automatically added when you ordered so no need to leave a tip on the table or pay it separately. read more

Came here yesterday evening after 6pm with my husband and our daughter. Usually this place is packed but not yesterday, so we were lucky to find a spot for us. We both ordered the burger and one glass of wine. The burger was good, not the best one, and it very similar to the In&Out burger - in terms of the thickness of the meat - but much more expensive. The place has good vibes, and maybe it just that kind of place where it's best just to take a cocktail and share something to eat. read more

Great place to meet up with friends. It's not quiet, and not super loud. In the middle.
