Came here with my partner to get drinks after work. The vibes are great for dates or just hanging out with friends / coworkers. They have open seating in a covered outside patio in addition to some indoor seating. It gets quite packed here so I would recommend coming early if you want to get a seat. We tried a couple cocktails, which were good and priced normally. They also sell takoyaki, which I didn't get a chance to try but there was a long line and it looked really popular and yummy.
Anina in Hayes Valley is such a fun spot! The drinks were really good, and the service was fast and efficient, which made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. The vibe is lively and cute, perfect for hanging out and enjoying a great cocktail. Definitely try to go early though--it gets crowded quickly. Overall, a great place for good drinks and a fun atmosphere!

Great vibes and great drinks! We came with a group of 7 and they have plenty of seating available. There's the inside and also an outdoor patio which has a lot of longer tables and even a taco stand. We got one of the punch bowls and I also got the seafoam spritz. The drink was really good! Nice and sparkling without being too sweet. I love the taste of elderflower and this was paired really well in the drink. Definitely a fun place to hang out!
Updating to add that the second to last time I bought drinks here, I was overcharged by $10. Not sure what's up with bars in SF, but they really need to be more attentive and make sure they're entering numbers correctly. The last time I stopped in for drinks, I told the staff about the overcharge, but rather than taking the time to help me resolve the issue, they just said to contact them later. To be fair, I get it, it's always busy at the bar, and they have a business to run, but I feel like part of running a good business is paying attention to the small details and ensuring every patron leaves with a positive experience.
Really like the vibes at Anina! Very centrally located on Hayes, this bar is always very lively. I've come here for both corporate events (they have a nice outdoor area) and with larger groups of friends. The punch bowl is a fun experience for sure, and the service is reasonable.
Drinks were unfortunately not it, was the first time everyone left taking only a few sips of their drinks. All three went overboard with the sweetness level. They do have a lot of patio space, good for big groups -- was surprisingly quiet on a friday evening.

The cocktails were great and I loved Salad Days which reminded of a boozy green juice. Anina has a great, relaxed vibe perfect for a daytime drink and the location is super convenient on Hayes St.

We came in to grab a drink and relax after exploring the area. The drinks were great and I was surprised that the mezcal margarita wasn't overpowering. The bartenders were great and friendly and provided helpful suggestions.
Anina is a great happy hour spot in Hayes Valley. Their espresso martini's are bomb and hit the spot. Very laid back and casual atmosphere here, good happy hour prices!

We stopped in Anina during our first time exploring Hayes Valley and found their large outdoor patio super inviting. Although they were super busy and only had two bartenders on staff, both bartenders were super friendly and attentive and provided great service. This place has a nice low key vibe and their reasonable prices for cocktails with good ingredients is a plus also. My partner ordered the Vernal Pools while I got the Fool's Gold. The Vernal Pools had a nice combination of flavors with the tequila, apple, ginger and chili coming together nicely, although the drink didn't have as much of a heat kick as we were expecting. The Fool's Gold was also nice and refreshing, with the whisky, turmeric, ginger, and Benedictine providing a nice light but also complex flavor.

We originally tried to sit outside because they have such a lovely outdoor area, but it was so crowded and the acoustics were so bad we couldn't even hear each other. Luckily there was space in their indoor section which was surprisingly much quieter. I got not one, but two Royal Scams, a fruity yet very balanced and acidic drink. Definitely one of the best drinks in the city ! Can't wait to go back, but probably on a less busy day.

When I find myself sauntering on Hayes with nary a care in the world, reality often strikes and sends me to the edge of desperation. My optimism dissipates, and my feelings get shoved onto a downhill cable car with a broken gearshift. That means just one thing: I need an Espresso Martini. This is where this spacious bar came in handy. I've passed by it and noticed its popularity as an afterwork watering hole for the young and vapid in Hayes Valley. That's quite understandable because of the huge patio. I remember when I used to gorge on mushroom burgers here when it was Flipper's. But now the $14 Espresso Martini does the trick for me (Photo 5). I feel better now. Before having dinner down the block, we decided to stop for a couple of drinks at Anina. As a fan of all things cocktails, this spot is definitely worth checking out. The selection of craft cocktails is unique, and you'll be able to find something based on your favorite liquor. I love Mezcal, so I went with the Lucila which is made with mezcal, lime, pineapple gum, and pamplemousse rose. This was really refreshing, and one of those drinks that's a little too easy to drink. The ambiance is pretty cool, the bar area is very tropical, and they have a a really big covered patio, which is great for big and small groups. I've walked by here a few times, and it definitely gets packed. The bartenders were quick, attentive, and really cool people. 20% gratuity is added to every check, which is something they tell everybody when you walk in and present your valid ID. Based on the prices, i think it's fair because it comes out to $2-3, which is what I normally tip for a craft cocktail. read more

Holy smokes - I haven't had that much booze in one sitting in quite a long time. The occasion celebrating my friend's new found independence, and celebrate we did. There are two areas to Anina - an outside deck that is heated but closes around 21:00, and the overly cramped but cool vibes indoor where the bar is situated. We started our night outside before moving in and were able to snag a table for our midsize group. Anina serves up some massive punch bowls, which back in LA, we used to call em scorpion bowls cause they pack a punch if you aren't careful. We ended up ordering two - not at the same time, but definitely could've reconsidered given how strong the first one was. Lots of fun, drinks, and good times when you're in good company. I'd definitely return to try some of their other cocktails and maybe just in a glass (or two) this time. I'm no longer in my 20s after all, lol. read more

Great spot for drinks, great outside area that allows dogs. Outside is covered with string lights, it's such a cool vibe. Can get busy on weekends but super chill throughout the week. The bartenders are always super friendly and down to chat. read more

This place is now a go to whenever I'm in Hayes Valley! Great cocktails and beer selection and great ambience to catch up with friends. The outdoor area is heated too so that's a plus! read more

A great bar to stop by if your having dinner in Hayes Valley. I love that there's an outdoor and indoor area. The outdoor area has a lot of bench seating with heaters and is such a well lit place. I came with a friend at 9:45pm and was bummed to hear that the outdoor area was closing at 10pm, so we decided to sit at the bar. I wish it closed later bc it's such a vibe out there haha A.P Spritz: 7/10. aperol, lemon, grapefruit, prosecco, soda. It's a refreshing and citrusy drink, didn't taste much alcohol! Seafoam Spritz: 8/10. Elderflower, salers aperitif, lime, prosecco, lemongrass. Defs tasted better than the drink above. Less fruity, more tasty and I like how there was a lot of crushed ice! **Service is pretty quick, just note that 20% gratuity is already included in the check!! read more

Is it dog friendly during the day?
I've seen dogs inside and outside, I even saw a pet parrot outside once. I'd say it's safe to bring your dog outside especially during the day!

No, the website says "ALL GUESTS MUST BE 21+ - NO EXCEPTIONS"
Is it Dog friendly?
Not sure, but presumably so. There was a bulldog there that probably belongs to either the owners or a staff person, and the dog was just lounging around inside.
Are there food trucks every night? Any way to find out what kind of food and when it is there?
The answer is NO! The management team at Anina book Pop-Ups 2 to 3 times per week generally between Wednesday thru Sunday as a courtesy to improve the overall experience. For the days that we don't offer these extra services, the answer is simple...…
