Came here with a group of friends on a Thursday night. We were able to be seated immediately! Cute intimate spot with lots of dates haha What I loved about bar 821 is that it is truly a unique and personalized experience for everyone. 2 of us chose their journey by selecting their style, flavor and spirit. They definitely nailed the cocktails! A couple of us had the amari flights which they provided different combinations of amaro for each of us. Definitely a fun switch up!

A flight of fernets to your left, amari to your right.

I was just looking for a regular bar with decent liquor at the last minute before a birthday dinner. I was totally unprepared for how special this is. First, the entrance is subtle and you have to ring the bell. A bartender answers the door to escort you in. The inside is very dark and cozy with light music. Pretty romantic, really. They have an amaro flight and a fernet flight so we had to get them. They have such a great selection that it's a great way to sample some interesting and herbal bitter stuff. It's dealer's choice unless you have a request, so the bartender set up four fernets and four amari, allowing us to check out each bottle as we went from sweet to bitter. I went out and bought a bottle of Meletti the following week because of this. The bartenders are pretty cool and knowledgeable, but unpretentious. It was filling up by the time we headed out in the mid evening. This place is awesome for a fancy-mode dark and bitter drink in an intimate atmosphere.

Fun, intimate speakeasy type bar! This is a small space so if you go on the weekend, expect to wait. They have an extensive amaro and fernet selection. If you like these aperitifs, highly recommend getting the flight. These are individually made (ordered two at our table and got different options in our flights) and a fun way to try something new. The servers are extremely knowledgeable and kind. Cant wait to go back a try something new!

Very interesting bar for a unique experience! Came here Friday night ~10pm expecting this to be a normal bar-- we were wrong. Upon ringing the doorbell, we were greeted and seated at the last remaining table for 5. We got two amaro flights, an espresso martini, and one of the listed seasonal cocktails listed on the wall. Not knowing what amaro is, the server was accommodating and enthusiastic in educating/explaining to us before tasting. The espresso martini was very good and on the sweeter side. The cocktail was very fruity and tart~if only I remembered what flavor it was... Highly recommend trying this place. The flight tasting was very unique and a great activity to be shared among a group! Definitely was an adventure getting through the 8. Excited to return to try the "Choose Your Journey" listed on the menu!

Getting a flight. You have to ring the bell to get in. It's like shots of fancy Underberg. Speakeasy feel.

I was craving a refreshing craft cocktail and got one with the Green Emmanuelle. I liked the cardamom in the Beauty Mark as well that my partner ordered. We ordered shishito peppers and mushroom bahn mi sliders. The mushroom bahn mi sliders were amazing - the quality fillings and taste of the soft bun - I was unexpectedly hit with a bite of spice from maybe jalapeño seeds left but didn't sour my experience. The shishito peppers ended up being extremely spicy as well, those are usually just a few spicy and not the majority. The roasted lemon and salt was a wonderful combo but just too spicy to eat. However, the server very kindly removed it from our bill without us asking. We order the crostini because we were still hungry and that was an absolute hit. Delicious med-soft crostini with luscious berries and sweet honey. I didn't care my hands got sticky as it was soooo good! Great experience, I would be weary if the peppers as I'm a bit spice-intolerant but everything else was spot-on.

Every drink had 10,000 ingredients, and most of them did not work together. If the drink did work together, you just tasted nothing because everything blended together and you couldn't taste any special or fun ingredients.  Unfortunately, I don't think this spot is worth looking for.

We came in hungry and left very happy, especially with the duck‑fat fries, smash burger, chicken and waffles, and fried chicken sandwich. The smash burger is juicy, salty, and charred just right, making it an easy repeat‑order any time of day. Really enjoyed the pickles it came with to cut the fat. Their chicken and waffles are a must‑try for brunch: perfectly crispy buttermilk fried chicken on top of a fluffy, buttery waffle, with sweet maple‑style syrup tying everything together. Very minimal toppings of spinach and tomato as well. Bf got the Korean fried chicken burger which actually was quite good! Better than the noodles. The side salad was a bit oddly salty, but the pickles and burger itself were both well seasoned and yummy. Complimentary dessert was very very kind. They do go heavy on the ice with some of the drinks but they all came out in different glasses, different sizes, and different flavors. It was fun tasting them all. My favorite was the watermelon and guava. I would definitely come back for the drinks. I didn't enjoy the food, and here's where it went wrong. We first got our chips and salsa. The chips are seasoned like Doritos so there's a nice flavor but the seasoning is in consistent. Some pieces were SO salty and some had no seasoning. The salsa is pretty rich as well. When our ceviche came, I ate a bite without the seafood and it tasted fishy. When I tried the actual seafood part, I knew it went bad because it had such a strong odor. We had to send it back but saw them serving it to other people. I eat a lot of seafood and I don't mind a slight fishy taste but this was definitely a food poisoning situation. After that it took a very very long time to get our last dish. Unfortunately when it finally came out, it was a disappointment. The octopus texture tasted like it had freezer burn, then was over cooked, sat too long after it was cooked because they had to make the fries. The fries were fresh but the octopus was dry, cold, hard, and chewy. I've had lots of pulpo before and this was a let down. It was a bummer that we didn't get to eat much and decided to walk somewhere else to finish dinner.
