Great service, fun ambiance with old movies being projected and moody lighting, and solid drinks. Honestly might have one of the best dirty martinis in the city so come check them out.

Incredible service, ambiance, price, and quality of cocktails. We don't order food but noted their snacks for next time. Loved Parker and Chris (bartenders) were incredible. Can't wait to see them again!

Lively bar, part of Foreign Cinema and right next door! Was very busy and loud on a Friday night. Very friendly bartenders and the drink I got (a hemp spirit one, non alcoholic) was very good!! It honestly tasted like juice. Drinks are very affordable by SF standards, which was a pleasant surprise. They show movies inside which is very on par with the Foreign Cinema vibe. Lower floor is a DJ, upper floor is more quiet if you want a quieter space for conversation.

    $2 Oysters ALL night!

$2 Oysters ALL night! I've been there with "Happy Hour" oysters with a not so happy ending. These aren't sus ones that come with a complimentary detox. They come from Foreign Cinema's kitchen (sister resto in same building). Oysters at Foreign Cinema are $4-$4.50 each so this is an awesome deal. I could have sworn I wrote a review for Laszlo over a decade ago but guess not. (+) $2 Oysters ALL night (chef's choice): http://tinyurl.com/4xh4364c They're properly shucked and fresh, served with a shallot mignonette and lemon wedges. (+) Foreign Cinema's full food menu available - ideal if you can't get last minute rezzies. (+) Good selection of spirits - Fortaleza on deck! (+) Gayle, the owner/chef from Foreign Cinema is hospitality and customer service driven. She came outside to make sure we weren't too cold and kindly offered to move us inside. We choose to stay outside but just the offer itself meant a lot. (+) DJ spinning on Thursday-Sunday + movies projected on the wall. (+) Multiple seating area - indoors: bar, booths, and loft area (intimate date night vibes) + outdoor (two tables). (+) Dog-friendly (outdoors). (+) Parking is always an issue but the Mission-Bartlett Garage is right in back (enter on 21st street). (-) Wrong orders and/or missing food orders. For example, I asked for a spirit shaken but received a cocktail with vermouth instead. Also, the times we ordered food, an item is missing. We noticed it happen to others as well. (-) No itemized bill provided. On our most recent visit, the total seemed high. When I asked for an itemized bill, I found we were double charged for a drink. They were apologetic and quickly resolved the issue. Def ask for an itemized bill BEFORE paying! Overall, Laszlo's remain a pretty solid bar to hit up if you're bar hopping in The Mission. Or, if you're looking for solid $2 Oysters ALL night!

Great Bartenders. Got a drink not on the menu (supposedly it's supposed to go on the menu next week) - mezcal + lychee. Perf amount of Smokey and sweet. Also had the oysters which were surprisingly good!

We come here frequently for craft cocktails when we want to be able to talk to our friends (it's not loud) and it's one of our favorite places in the mission. Usually isn't too busy earlier in the night (I.e. between 5-7) and they have a limited menu from foreign cinema so the food is great.

A new favorite spot for me! $2 oysters and a fancy cocktail? Perfection. The oysters are tiny but fresh. The slushee is delicious. Some of the cocktails are overly sweet just as an FYI. There is a movie playing on a projector for vibes! And a DJ playing music (at least on weekends). The entire Foreign Cinema menu is accessible from here. If paying those prices I'd rather sit in the main restaurant to be honest. But nice to be able to order the appetizers at least.

Overall a solid spot by Foreign Cinema, complete with the same vibey interior. I especially love the split floors and the DJ, which put this place a lick above a lot of the other cocktail bars in the area. We got the peaches and gryphon cocktails. They were good, but I've had better -- they were a little off balance. I did appreciate the attention to detail and high quality booze options they had, though. The bartenders were nice, but even though the place was at 40% capacity, it was impossible to get their attention. My friend and I stood at the bar for 15 mins before someone came over and offered to make us drinks. I'd come back, but it wouldn't be my first choice.

    Tiffany J.

The overall experience was kind of "meh". The bartenders were super nice but one seemed to be distracted. There were also problems with the food that we ordered. First we were given the wrong order, then after waiting more than 30 minutes for our actual order we discovered that our order was never put in. I understand that sometimes people have a bad day/night so I would give them another try if I'm in the area and looking for cocktails. I don't think I'd try the appetizers again as they weren't that appealing. The best part of the evening was the music. I gave my Shazam a workout, lol. *Full disclosure: this is a late review as we went a few months ago. I'm just taking the time now to update my Yelp.

Oh Laszlo, you're CUTE cute! FINE fine! Ambience like whoooaaa and vibes like fiyaaaah. And, I'm diggin' it. Stopped here with a few friends last year after having brunch at Foreign Cinema next door. The atmosphere is waaay more chill here when compared to Foreign Cinema. No bougie-ness, just a cozy, dimly lit cocktail lounge with a low key vibe. Wouldn't necessarily recommend this spot for large parties since they don't have enough space to accommodate for it, but small to moderate sized groups will do. We had a group of about 8 and were able to squeeze into a few tables that were pushed next to each other. Just remember; this is a San Francisco institution. Which means that them drinks ain't cheap by any means. But actually, the drinks here were pretty creative. Definitely more on the craft cocktail end than anything else. The only thing that I wasn't too fond of when it came to the drinks was that they use too much ice and not enough drink. Nothing really stood about the drinks that we had either, but it's a nice spot to chill and kick it with friends whilst slurping down some pretty lookin' cocktails. They also have a dope little happy hour during the week, and a $2 daily oyster special in the evenings. Talk about deals! I loves me some good deals! I would totally come back here to chill with friends over discounted oysters and happy hour drinks in the future. I enjoyed this place 10 times better than Foreign Cinema for sure.

Laszlo is just next to Foreign Cinema and you can order some food that is made by the same kitchen so you know it is going to be good. I recommend to go upstairs to have some peace and space, especially if you are with your +1 or a group of friends. Unfortunately they don't serve the tables for orders (but will bring you the food at least) and that is a pain in the ass since someone will have to go downstairs to order. My bartender was super nice one day I went early but for the Halloween weekend he was kinda pissy. Still I put up with that since cocktails here are really good, some of the best in the city in my opinion!

I was craving a refreshing craft cocktail and got one with the Green Emmanuelle. I liked the cardamom in the Beauty Mark as well that my partner ordered. We ordered shishito peppers and mushroom bahn mi sliders. The mushroom bahn mi sliders were amazing - the quality fillings and taste of the soft bun - I was unexpectedly hit with a bite of spice from maybe jalapeño seeds left but didn't sour my experience. The shishito peppers ended up being extremely spicy as well, those are usually just a few spicy and not the majority. The roasted lemon and salt was a wonderful combo but just too spicy to eat. However, the server very kindly removed it from our bill without us asking. We order the crostini because we were still hungry and that was an absolute hit. Delicious med-soft crostini with luscious berries and sweet honey. I didn't care my hands got sticky as it was soooo good! Great experience, I would be weary if the peppers as I'm a bit spice-intolerant but everything else was spot-on.

The club was set to close at 2am -- so they start getting everyone together and closing out tabs a 10 minutes or so before it actually closed. I finish my drink and gather my belongings to go to the restroom beforehand. It was occupied at the time ... so I decided not to worry anymore and walk back to my friends. As I'm doing so, I hear the guard rudely speaking to them and telling them to leave. I advised the man that the club was still open at the moment (they had about 5 mins left) and that we actually were heading out then. I also told him that he didn't have to speak to my friends like that - after he had just been joking around with them moments before. Instead of taking accountability, he immediately got an attitude with me and stated that he didn't care about that and it was time to go. Another female guard then popped up randomly and essentially told me to "fix my delivery" and that the man was her brother. To which I replied, that they were both ultimately in the wrong. I understand wanting to leave work but being rude and distasteful towards paying customers isn't the way to do jt. I hope they hire better employees it was a nice place!

There were only two service staff; we could tell they were working hard but they definitely needed more help. We made two trips to the bar and it took about 15-20 minutes to get service. Drinks were decent. A larger group arrived to the left of us, and about 20 minutes after they arrived, the male service worker told us we had to move cause our spot was reserved. Mind you, we'd been there for almost two hours at this point and nobody had mentioned anything about our spot being reserved, and there was no sign holder indicating it either. It was also advertised as a "no cover" event, so curious to know how reservations were even made. He told us we could move over to the wall; which we discovered was right next to the restrooms and the line of users. Not cool. We then noticed that the larger group had spread out and taken our spot; were we supposed to believe these were the supposed "reservation" holders and not just your friends? Overall, just another mediocre bar that caters to the people they know. Not much concern for new customers, so we have no interest in returning or recommending to anyone. Plenty of other bars in the city; better bars that won't make you feel inferior.
