I love love love the ambiance here! The decorations are so beautiful and I love the painted ceiling! The service was also good- the servers were attentive and trying their best to take our orders despite the business of the restaurant! I also really enjoyed the food! I got the NY steak as my entree, and the arancini as my appetizer, and both dishes were cooked deliciously! I loved the flavor in both, though I must say the arancini had an amazing crisp as well as a tasteful, creamy sauce. I asked for the steak to be medium well, and they delivered! The steak was cooked and seasoned well, the potatoes were tasty and crispy, and the green beans were delicious as well. I also tried the italiano and bergamotto drinks, both of which were decently strong but packed with flavor. Overall, I would definitely come back to try more dishes and drinks!!

This place is absolutely stunning with the interior! The ambience is pretty nice and the decorations are beautiful. I loved the blue walls and candlelight. I ordered an Italiano and a NY steak. The Italiano was perfect for me as someone who prefers drinks on the sweeter side. It had the slight bitterness from the tequila, but it was pretty good. The medium rare NY steak was soft, juicy, and chewy. The potatoes were well seasoned and the green beans added the balance to the entire entree. It was a small portion of food for me, so I would suggest ordering an appetizer as well if needed. It was a busy Friday night, so it did take a while for our server to tend to us, but she was friendly and helpful. There are restrooms in the back which were pretty clean.

This spot is great as a date night or for elevated celebrations. Service is excellent and attentive, and the ambiance is so cute with low lighting, and stylish interior. The food is also good, pretty much everything we ordered was tasty and well portioned for the entrees. The appetizers are also tasty, but less bang for your buck when you're talking about size to cost. We went as a group and the tuna tartar was the best item we got as an appetizer. This is my second time at the restaurant and the halibut and New York steak are both perfectly cooked, tender, and savory. Cocktails are also good but personally I would skip on the desserts. We selected 3 desserts and feel we wouldn't order again. Several come in mason jars like the cheesecake, which would've tasted better plated so you could have some crust with the bites.

Walking down the strip and this place looked appealing. Asked the bartender for a good whiskey drink. He made the MOST amazing old fashioned! So goooood! Thank you Mattia!

I've dined here several times for dinner and recently started sitting at the bar for a fun experience & interaction with the bar staff. I love their arancini & had that as a snack in addition to the beef tartare, an off the menu item that we were informed about by Scott, the bar manager. Great recommendation & it was delicious! My recent favorite cocktail is their Italiano, which is vodka based with strawberry purée. Service is friendly & helpful. Very lively restaurant & bar area with additional quieter dining room towards the back. We always have a great time when we're at Ristobar!

nice, polished interior. food was fine (nothing crazy but not bad at all), mocktail was sooo sour. service was great! fritto misto was pretty yummy, steak was okay but maybe too overcooked? agnolotti was beautifully presented but nothing spectacular. overall, satisfied enough!

Imagine a sexy Italian speakeasy with Tech Bros in sweatsuits next to millionaire housewives. 10 out of 10 food was delicious! Drink drinks were as cold as my heart was before I walked into this establishment! Food as as warm as my heart leaving the restaurant! My man definitely gave me full service after this great service by Mika !!

Came to this beautiful establishment for a social event. The service was great. The drinks were super cute and strong. The food was fresh and yummy! I really enjoyed the Arancini especially the sauce. The Italiano was super refreshing and had a great kick to it. I liked how the chef examined every plate before It went out..Plus the music was on point!!

After a park day at the Presidio, we wanted to move the party and we decided on Bar Darling. It was a Saturday afternoon and it was jam packed. Luckily we were able to get some space in the alley way for us to order drinks from our server. We've been on a Friday around 5pm on another day, it wasn't as busy, so definitely a great place to start and maybe end the night. In a time where craft cocktails have gotten really expensive, Bar Darling offers craft cocktails (their signature cocktails) all for $14 each. If you know Peacekeeper, you know there's a lot of thought and imagination that goes into their drinks and it definitely shows here. My favorites were the Mama J (tequila based) and the Jaji (mezcal based). The aesthetic and vibes of this place is 10/10. Definitely great for a group of friends and/or date night!

Drinks had almost a "watered down" flavor to them, not sure if the bartender was just having an off night or if they got too busy to maintain standards or what happened, but it wasn't a good beverage and certainly not worth the price. Even at 7pm it was packed and could definitely tell people had been there for awhile as there were multiple 20 something year old guys and gals stumbling around, so I guess they found the drinks to their liking (or more likely had so many they really couldn't ascertain the difference). Better drinks and better crowd control and Darling will be just fine. But as I mentioned, they were already packed stem to stern at 7pm so my guess is they're doing just fine already.

The fried chicken that sat upon it was also plain. Service was the bright spot. Our server was warm, gracious, and patient with our large group. For a big dinner group where seating and service matter most, the restaurant has its advantages. But overall I wouldn't give it a recommendation.

Each dish was visually stunning and carefully prepared. We tried many smaller dishes, tapas style. The person who states "This is most likely the best restaurant in the world" has to be beyond sheltered; It's not even the best restaurant in the _neighborhood_. The main thing you must understand: the food is "inspired" by Indian food, but it does _not_ taste like Indian food. I suspect its been intentionally watered down to be palatable to milquetoast palettes. We ordered three small plates and the butter chicken as the main. Chicken Tikka Taco. This was greasy to the touch, with chicken and cheese. The dominate flavor is the cheddar cheese. They were trying to be creative but the ultimate effect was similar to a frozen burrito with cheddar cheese and chile verde. If you eat this, close your eyes and imagine a microwaved, frozen burrito..you'll see what I mean. Tandoori Avocado. This features an avocado that's been warmed and covered in a chili sauce. There's a green hummus and a fried dosa crisp. While it sounds wild, once the flavors are mixed together on the plate...the overall effect is that of a green-goddess salad. It's not bad, but its not mind bending. Octopus Xec Xec. The octopous was was cooked nicely and there was a tomato based sauce. Unlike something you'd find in India, it is _not_ heavy on the spices, or tang, or nuttiness. It's just very _neutral_. Butter Chicken. This was the biggest disappointment. I've never had a butter chicken curry that tasted so close to tomato soup in my life. I've eaten tons of butter chicken in my life, hundreds of Indian restaurants. I cannot imagine this was not an intentional choice...It was extremely disappointing. Also, the choice to use chicken breast was poor. Inevitably you get overcooked, chewy chicken pieces. They must have chosen this because (like Disneyland) sometimes you water things down to make it more popular with less adventurous people. The customers next to us (not Indian) kept slathering it on their rice and saying "I can't believe I didn't use to like Indian food!" -- that told me all I needed to know. BTW the naan is insanely bad. They stretched it very thin and then crisped it to the point that it breaks like a cracker. In what world is naan not pillowy and soft? Personally, I was really disappointed with this experience -- the other reviews on yelp are absolute insanity IMO. I know there's a hype train right now -- but someday people will realize this place is not it.
