    Negroni + Palmer's Burger w Truffle Fries
    Stephanie M.

I'm a huge fan of the Negroni here!! So so yummy! Just tried the burger the other night with truffle fries and it was delicious! Haven't explored the menu a ton but they have a new chef and everything seems to look really good! I think this is a great spot with a lot of variety! If you want something more chill/on a budget you can get the burger and a drink or if you want to splurge/try more things they have a variety of that too! It gets busy here especially on the weekends which will probably vary people's experience with service and ambiance but they do a great job even when it gets busy! I do love the ambiance, it feels cozy yet luxe! This will def be a new go to for me since it's in the neighborhood and will be lovely for a variety of occasions (dinner/dates/drinks and bites, etc.) and cravings! Can't wait to come back and try more!

We went there for a drinks and snacks while watching the World Cup games! Excellent service and experience from the Amazing Staff. The ambiance is energetic. We had Fantastic time over there.

Won't be coming here anytime soon. The server we had was just awful. She took our order, and that was the last that we saw her. My food came out cold and my eggs were over cooked. Had too wait for someone to get us more coffee. I wanted another drink but, again we had know server. Come to find out she went on break and didn't tell us. So, needless to say we had an awful experience.

Swung by Palmer's for a quick happy hour cocktail and was not disappointed! On a Saturday afternoon, this place was deservedly packed -- the decor, ambiance, and bustle make it such a staple SF institution that is good for bringing your friends (or guests from outside of SF) to! tips: make a res if coming on a weekend or during happy hour, especially if you have a larger group. staff was nice enough to give us a reserved table for ~1 hour when we came by without res. also, happy hour is 4-6pm and features discounted light bites and $11 cocktails! Both cocktails were unique and memorable. The Boulevardier is like a smoother, almost caramel-like cousin of the negroni, and the Parisian Bouquet was sweet, tart, and appropriately smelled like flowers in a really good way. Service was speedy despite the chaos of the crowd, and I was impressed that people didn't bump into each other more often. Would come back to try other happy hour offerings on the menu!

It was Saturday night and my friend and I were on Fillmore and the place we originally wanted to go to was unavailable. This was nearby and looked busy, so we assumed it had to be good. The place's decor was definitely cute and it was pretty lively. Pros: - our server was great: she was attentive and kind - cute decor and clean bathrooms Cons: - palmer's punch was their signature drink; I got it as recommended by the server and it was so nasty lol it tasted like frat house jungle juice - sour cream and onion dip: got this as an app to share; it's straight up mayo and yogurt I think. bland, one note, some chips are literally floppy/stale - the host was very odd, my friend saw her aimlessly rummaging through things, she was dressed haphazardly (you could see half of her bra in a tasteless way), her behavior mirrored someone off of benzos, you could also tell her colleagues were annoyed with her - the cat that lives upstairs: to preface; I'm a cat person and love cats. But there was a cat who was on the literal bar, walking on the counter, where people were eating and drinking, then said cat went outdoors onto the streets with it's bare feet and came back walking on the counters. Ew. that is so unsanitary. We saw our waitress trying to keep him off of the counter but some customers would literally grab him and put him back... gross and the cat shouldn't be walking on a surface of a restaurant especially after walking outdoors

Ridiculous treatment after sitting at the bar.

Wish I could leave zero stars. Stopped in for fries and a drink. Stayed under an hour, paid my tab with the waitress, waved goodbye on my way out. Here's where it gets interesting, while still parked around the corner, I glanced in my rearview mirror to find the bartender approaching my car to ask if I'd paid. I paid. With the waitress. Because the bartender was too busy to notice I needed the check. The fix was simple: ask one of the two waitresses on the floor. Instead, a paying customer got followed to their car and accused of skipping out... in Pacific Heights, at 7:45pm, in broad daylight. The behavior was insulting enough. The cavalier attitude made it worse. I'll leave out the details that would plainly paint this in an even harsher light for this establishment, because I believe in second chances. But do your due diligence before embarrassing your guests and yourself

I had to take out the mayo cream thing in it for my kid

Palmer's had mussels in October and it was so good! Unfortunately they've taken it off their menu. So we opted for all these other various things, Mac n cheese was mediocre and not particularly cheesy surprisingly. The meatballs can easily be made at home. Kid enjoyed the burger but wish there was an option for a salad instead of fries. The tuna tartare was the best part of the meal in my opinion because they put bacon in their tiny serving of Brussel sprouts. Server was nice and we didn't have to wait long for our food. Since it was NYE they had a million balloons and they just kept popping and scaring everyone.

Came here for date night and it was packed! We arrived at the right time and got seated immediately. We ordered two cocktails and the burgers. The drinks and meal were filling but decent, nothing wowed us. I will say it was super packed to the point where I had to squeeze between people when going back and forth from the restroom. This place has great vibes and would recommend everyone to check it out when in SF!

The escape room is Alice In Wonderland themed and includes three drinks as part of the experience. Arrived on time for our reservation but were held in a waiting room for about 30 min before we could start. Didn't seem like anyone else was doing the escape room but it was also the week of their biz anniversary so maybe they were just super busy. Phoenix led our escape room and was such a delight. Friendly, great banter, helpful throughout the escape. The escape game is split across multiple rooms with a good diversity of puzzles. Don't want to spoil too much here but they were good challenges. Drinks we incorporated throughout and presented like test tubes that were drinkable in a gulp, kind of like a cocktail shot. Personally, I found the first two drinks to be a bit too sweet, but I liked the third, which was coconut forward. The price is definitely a bit more costly. It was $100/person for a party of five. I understand that it was an escape room + the staff + the cocktails. If you max out the party size, it's about $85-ish per person which I think is pretty solid. Still very unique and fun and glad I got to try it

The mushroom bahn mi sliders were amazing - the quality fillings and taste of the soft bun - I was unexpectedly hit with a bite of spice from maybe jalapeño seeds left but didn't sour my experience. The shishito peppers ended up being extremely spicy as well, those are usually just a few spicy and not the majority. The roasted lemon and salt was a wonderful combo but just too spicy to eat. However, the server very kindly removed it from our bill without us asking. We order the crostini because we were still hungry and that was an absolute hit. Delicious med-soft crostini with luscious berries and sweet honey. I didn't care my hands got sticky as it was soooo good! Great experience, I would be weary if the peppers as I'm a bit spice-intolerant but everything else was spot-on.

I usually am very anti-ordering the same main, but it could not be helped. It sounded too good, and it was, indeed, a really good burger. The bun was soft and fluffy but didn't collapse under the pressure of being held, which is make-or-break for a burger. I don't want my buns to turn into frisbees. The patty was cooked through, still tender, and well-seasoned. Quite fatty, so just know that! The combo of the sauce, cheese, and onions was fantastic, but it did make for a more slippery experience. As a result, my hand was covered in sauce and juices by the end, but our waitress had wet hand wipes on deck, which was amazing. The fries were perfect, quintessential shoestring fries. We tried the Yuzu Custard, Peach & Basil Shortcake, and Rum Butter Cake for dessert, and all were solid!! It is a mission of mine (very casual mission) to find and promote restaurants that have solid desserts because it was hard to execute but also so necessary for Sweet Tooth Nation. We don't mind regular bar noisiness but this was next-level.   We asked the server if we could move or if they could ask the table to take it down a notch since we were seated inside. The presumed manager then came over and rather snippily informed us she can't just "ask a table to stop talking", which of course, was misrepresenting our request and framing it as something unreasonable. IMO if you aren't able to speak to guests with kindness & understanding, even if you're unable to accommodate a request, you should maybe rethink your role in hospitality.   We settled on moving outside, which was totally fine, and finished our meal there. We then come to realize the staff knew the loud table next to us. It definitely left us feeling that their personal friendships were prioritized over kindness and respect toward other guests. After dancing and enjoying the music, we got to watch one of the most beautiful sunsets I've seen from this rooftop. Such a beautiful way to start the evening. And the food made the experience even better! The menu is mostly small bites, so we ordered several dishes to share. We started with the classic ceviche, which was fresh, citrusy, and so good with the chips. We also had the al pastor tacos with pineapple, flavorful and a classic combination that worked perfectly. But the arepitas... OMG! Definitely my favorite. They come with three little arepas filled with shredded beef, and they were SO good. Between all the dishes, it was actually plenty of food for two people, and we left very satisfied. For drinks, we tried the guava and passion fruit mocktails, and both were refreshing and had really nice flavor.
