The staff are great! The bar tenders, servers, and the bar manager are all welcoming, friendly, and very accommodating. That alone makes the experience and entices me to return. The food is decent for bar food. I recently ordered the short rib sandwich and likely would not order it again but it was filling. I have also had chicken sandwich and it is also very filling. I look forward to trying their steak sandwich, steak plate, and also the ribs.
Unfortunately, my experience at Harry's Bar was lukewarm. Or maybe lukecold? I sat at the bar and sat at the bar and sat at the bar. Two guys behind me were greeted and served four beers. Then the bartender moved on to the end of bar. Well that sucked. She came back around, but had her back turned. I'd say I was there 10 minutes without being greeted. Then off I went to Japantown. Perhaps I'm the Bruce Willis in Sixth Sense and I don't know it. See how I always make that movie reference? Hopefully Yelpers have a better experience than I did.
A cozy bar in SF that is perfect for catching up with friends and for a date! Service was decently fast. The drinks we ordered during Happy Hour were super strong, and there were many options to choose from. We also stuck around for bingo, which was really fun! They ran about 3-4 rounds, and we had a lot of fun. 6/5 - Harry's French Fries - Super tasty and the star of our meal here! We ended up ordering multiple orders of this, and it was well-complemented by their aioli sauce and ketchup. 4/5 - Nathan's Famous Hot Dog - Normal Nathan's hot dog that was well-complemented by the toppings which made this a very tasty dish! The hot dog itself is small, but with all of the ingredients, it made for a pretty filling happy hour dish! 4/5 - Loaded Nachos - A very generous load of toppings for the nachos. We thought there could have been a bit more nachos, but otherwise it was still a dish we didn't regret ordering. There was jalapenos, guacamole, sour cream, and cheese, which was great to share while having drinks with friends!
Solid spot to pop in for a quick drink and snack. My friends and I saw their happy hour menu and couldn't resist another cute cocktail. I had the matcha martini and that was an 8/10 for me. Delicious and only $10. The cocktails weren't too strong. (A good thing if you just want to sip to enjoy.) The fries were just okay, but I mean how hard is it to fuck up some fries right. They still hit the spot but I wouldn't come here because I'm craving fries. The hostess and servers were very kind. At first when we sat at the seats opposite the walkway by the bar, I felt awkward about coming up to the very packed bar to order my drinks. One of the servers, however, noticed me and came over to take my order. Also with the high ceilings, It doesn't feel overly cramped and the sound travels enough for your friends to still be able to hear you. Cool spot!
Sat at the bar on a Saturday afternoon and had so much fun! Drinks were great and our bartender was so nice. We had a few margaritas (Blood Orange and Tropical), tequila shots and a taste of their Black Cherry Cosmo. Their fries were crispy and delicious. I bet the rest of their food would be good, too. Will definitely return.
Great happy hour! Sports bar that feels more like a restaurant and less dive-y! Their brunch menu is smaller but they serve their regular food menu during brunch time as well. Gets busy on Sundays and game days! Weeknights walk ins are doable but I'd make reservations for those busy times.

The loaded all beef hot dog was good for $6. Solid fries on the cheap as well. The mozzarella sticks were just alright though. We've eaten and drank here a few times over the years and it's never a bad time. The service is quick, bartenders are nice, and it's not a bad bar stop when in this part of the city. The food is on the pricier side for the quality but I think the happy hour deals are worth coming for if you are trying to save a little. This is a great spot if you are trying to watch any kind of professional sports game. They've got plenty of TVs inside and a few setup outside with the most outdoor seating on all of Fillmore.

I was really excited to try this place because who else serves a grilled cheese short rib sandwich?? Unfortunately, it was not what I expected. First off, I would come back just to order the fries. Those I give a 9/10. It was on the saltier side but the consistency was just... muahh. Now the sandwich I unfortunately have to give a 6.8/10. The bread was honestly whatever. For a grilled cheese, the amount of cheese was lacking!! There was no cheese pull and the cheese wasn't fully melted. I literally pulled the cheese off the bread to test it and it came off easily. The short rib was good, they were not stingy with it. However, it was lacking in flavor. The little sauce they give on the side only added a little bit of flavor to it. My girlfriend got the matcha martini. It was very strong and creamy, couldn't taste the matcha that much. 3.4/5
My friends and I were shopping in the area and needed a pick-me-up as our long afternoon matured into evening. We decided to check out Harry's Bar because we liked its classy vibes, and there appeared to be plenty of seating. Upon getting settled in a cozy booth, we ordered a plate of fries and hot honey chicken wings to share. The fries were delicious - they were served perfectly crispy and salty, without a single soggy or over-salted fry. The hot honey wings were also surprisingly delicious (usually I'm not a fan of wings but was hungry). The hot honey sauce was sweet and tangy with a hint of heat, and the chicken skin was perfectly crisped. The bar itself was dark inside, which created a swanky vibe; it felt like an upscale sports bar with a solid food and drink menu. Harry's Bar seems like the ideal spot to grab pre-dinner drinks and to catch the game on TV.
Great spot for trivia Wednesdays but most tables end up getting reserved. Can get lucky with walk ins! Can't go wrong with their burger and fries. Tried the roasted half chicken, it came atop a bed of very buttery mashed potatoes. No complaints on the chicken - tasted like rotisserie chicken.

It was like drinking a melted matcha ice cream with a little spike of alcohol. The happy hour fries were also crispy and paired well with the martinis. I didn't think the portion would be so big. I can't wait to come back here again next time. There's plenty of seating in the bar but it can get filled during busy hours. The service was friendly and well attentive. Parking is timed/street parking
I just wanna say, this is a LOW 4, and lowkey mostly because of the trivia... like they make a big deal that everyone should stay quiet for questions (correct) but then blast the music? Very frustrating. Not my fav trivia at all, but I get people want a more pop culture focus. The food was very good! The drinks were ok. The ambiance was funny in a good way. Will not be back for trivia but maybe for dinner!

my friends and I came on a saturday night to catch a world cup game, and the energy was great! there are TVs everywhere inside and outside on the patio which is where we sat. It was the perfect atmosphere to hang out and talk with friends while having a fun drink and watching the game. the drinks were all fantastic- I'd heard a lot about the matcha martini and it was even better than I'd imagined. It's a strong drink but the matcha was also really rich and creamy. so dangerous because I could've had like 5 more. I also got the black cherry cosmo which was so delicious. we got a basket of harry's french fries to share, which were amazing- they were so fresh and crispy and everybody loved them. a couple of us also got the steak and fries, which was just okay. the steak was a bit tough and overcooked, but again the fries were great. service was decently quick considering how busy it was too. overall, I would absolutely come back to have a drink or catch a game with friends! read more

Cozy ambiance with fast and friendly service. My friends and I had reservation for dinner so we just wanted to kill time having some drinks which we ordered Midori sour and ginger mojito. I was surprised that they carry Midori! Because not too many places carry that.....Although it tended to be on a sweet side and served on the rock not like others but I did not mind it. I am not a big fan of mojito so I didn't taste it. My friend also ended up ordering garlic fried and tuna tartare. Fried was on the average side but its sauce make it better whereas crispy chip that served with tuna tartare made this plate taste even better! read more
We stopped here during the Fillmore jazz fest for a drink because Harry's is always a classic spot to stop. The bar area was packed and all tables said reserved, but I asked the waiter if 3 of us could sit down for drinks and he was nice enough to open a table. The bourbon smash wasn't my favorite. I would definitely opt for the cucumber melon margarita next time. The flavors complimented each other a bit better with the margarita. We also decided to order nachos with braised short ribs so we could all share. That was underwhelming. The chips were the thin chips that break easily so wasn't great to eat nachos with. And the short ribs were hidden under some sour cream and guac, but there was very little. For $25 nachos, I was pretty disappointed. Lesson learned - only order drinks at Harry's. read more
Came here to grab a drink and some garlic fries. The fries are crispy and perfectly flavored. The service is excellent was able to get assistance as soon as we sat down. Will be going back for the holiday vibes and to watch the game. read more

This is a good place to sit outside and watch football because they have a lot of TVs in the parklet. The happy hour deals are decent and the service was good. I stopped by for a pre-dinner drink on a weekday and was able to get a table right away. read more
this restaurant/bar gets pretty loud so it can be kind of hard to hear one another, but I really enjoyed the seasonal matcha-tini ($14) cocktail! it had Japanese Matcha, Stoli Vanil Vodka, Licor 43, Cream Top, Coconut Syrup, and Toasted Coconut Flakes. I could taste the matcha but also the alcohol (although my friend said it wasn't strong at all) read more

I wanted to like this place- its proximity to The Fillmore, the hip-looking ambience. We ordered a couple of $11 draft beers at the end of the bar and easily found a seat despite a pretty good crowd on a Friday night. The service was attentive. And then came the BIG FAIL. We were excited to see that the kitchen was still open late and ordered the calamari because the description was delicious. The worst calamari I have ever had. Hands down. My partner described it as "poorly-breaded rubber bands". It was tasteless, unseasoned, and mushy. Really soggy. It came with dips that I ate with a spoon just to get some flavor. After that, we decided not to order the espresso martinis we had our eyes on earlier and just called it a night. If they care this little for their food, could they even make a decent cocktail? read more

I got a complimentary $5 off certificate for my birthday from them and decided to try their breakfast burrito. The burrito was fine and didn't take too long to come out. When it came to paying, there was technical issues but Karen was super nice and helpful with it! I have been here multiple times, and I feel like the wait staff is usually short and not very warm, but Karen was great and helped solve the issue so I could redeem my gift! read more

I have wanted to take my boyfriend here for a while and every time we try, it's packed and we can't get in. So I made a reservation on Toast. We arrived at 5:58 and figured we could get at least one happy hour priced drink at the bar. A server came up at that moment and I told him we had a reservation so he says "follow me." We missed out on happy hour. He told us it was 6 so no. Well, it was my boyfriend's birthday and yes, I noted it in the reservation. Server who seated us took the order for one IPA. He asked for our credit card to run a tab. I guess since Harry's is a bar that makes sense but it was awkward. Someone else took our order and brought me my water. No water for bf. We ordered the calamari, jalepeno, and onions to start and I wanted the beet salad as my main and he ordered the baby back ribs as his. Someone different dropped off the calamari in front of my bf and the salad in front of me. The calamari had three little dishes of dip. Not sure what they were. Maybe tarter and a Marinara. The third was greenish. The calamari was like rubber bands. It was So, so chewy. We didn't eat it. No one checked on us and I had to ask four people for water refill. I put my salad off to the side to wait for my bf's ribs. When they arrived we didn't really have room for the calamari plate or drinks on the table since the table was small. We didn't really want the calamari anyway, but no one asked so it sat until we paid. A Server spilled water when finally refilling, but she apologized and was quick to clean it. bF liked the truffle Mac and cheese and ribs. My salad was fine. Slightly soggy. Wouldn't get again. We asked for boxes. Waited. Guy who sat us came to check us out. No mention of birthday or if we wanted to have dessert. So we left for dessert at home. read more

One thing nice about living in the neighborhood is a good Happy Hour Bar. Yes, This place is awesome...My favorite is the Espresso Martini. Things i don't normally order at Happy Hour..But they have a good one...Bar Bites are awesome too...Best was their service staff. You just need to inform them if you could sit out side the patio ( I have a buddy Shitzu with me). Ordered a side boil chicken for my Dog. His a happy Camper. A very nice Local Bar to chill out. Met a couple of ex Co workers who came by and recognized me..This is a Local Bar...Try it..its nice read more

This is easily my favorite bar in the city!! The food is great, the ambiance is so exhilarating, and the bartenders are amazing! I'm definitely a regular, and Ali knows exactly how I like my drinks! The guy has a knack when it comes to your palate, and has the best personality for such a busy bar! Even when the place is packed, service is always on-point.
