Stopped by Afterwork Bar and it hits that rare balance of neighborhood sports bar and trendy Hayes Valley hangout. There were games on throughout, but the crowd was an eclectic mix--locals, groups of friends, a few date-night tables--so it never felt like a stereotypical rowdy sports bar. We started with the fried cauliflower and curly fries to share, and both were excellent. The cauliflower was crispy, well-seasoned, and not overly heavy, while the curly fries came out hot and perfectly crunchy--super snackable. For mains, we each went our own route. The fried chicken sandwich was juicy with a crisp coating that held up, and the toppings were well-balanced and had a kick, with quality ingredients that made it feel a notch above typical bar fare. The custom burger was cooked to order and built exactly how requested, but was a bit too greasy for our liking. Service kept things moving without being intrusive, even with a lively crowd. Overall, a good go-to spot if you want to catch a game but still enjoy solid food and a more diverse, laid-back vibe. Would definitely come back and give it another shot.

Three stars for the great happy hour prices and the decent drinks and apps. Sadly, zero stars for the service. This is a seat yourself, place your order online and someone brings your order to you kind of place. We came here for happy hour after work and since none of us had been before, we weren't sure how the place operated. When we asked for water, the server rolled their eyes and went to get some for us. We later realized it was a get your own water kind of place. A better approach would've been a polite explanation that water is self-service. Another server slammed our order down on the table and walked away without a word. Maybe we just went on a bad day but this is definitely not the kind of service I'd expect anywhere. Would I come back? My colleagues resoundingly say yes because the prices make it worth the rudeness!

New favorite Happy Hour spot in SF. Some of the cheapest drinks and eats, I swear. The place was packed but the outside seating saved us. The guy inside helped us out. The QR code at the table is how you order. The drinks and food came out QUICK. We got the mini burger and loaded fries. Food was delicious. The vibe is very sport bars inside. The whole service was very convenient especially before going to a concert nearby. If i am in the area again definitely coming back.

Hi Sammier! Thank you for responding. I actually went to the cashier and ordered there first, but when I placed my order they asked if I was just ordering drinks. I said yes, and they told me if that was the case then I should go through the restaurant and order at the bar. I walked to the back and placed the same order at the bar that I did at the register. The prices should be the same in both places if that's the case. Please make sure your staff are clear and upfront about the pricing difference in the future. The spaces are connected so it isn't clear that they're sending customers to an area with a different menu and pricing system.

I am allergic to onions. I ordered my burger no onions. I got a burger with onions. No one checked on us. No one asked how our food was. And it's loud with music and the tv playing while folks are talking.

a good place to chill/watch the game! they have a bunch of board games to play too which was fun. you order on your phone through a qr code

Swung by Saturday afternoon around 3 PM. It was a nice day so we sat at one of the outside tables. There was a QR code where you could order and either open a tab or pay immediately. Our group ordered a few pitchers of beer and wings. A few of us also ordered some chicken sandwiches. Their tater tots are to die for. They had a TV showing the game so we could still watch outside which was nice. The server was very nice and attentive! Nice spot to hit up in the afternoon and would def come by again.

Wow now they have a taco Tuesday. Great tacos al pastor $8 can beat that really good excellent flavor sample I love this place

I was craving a refreshing craft cocktail and got one with the Green Emmanuelle. I liked the cardamom in the Beauty Mark as well that my partner ordered. We ordered shishito peppers and mushroom bahn mi sliders. The mushroom bahn mi sliders were amazing - the quality fillings and taste of the soft bun - I was unexpectedly hit with a bite of spice from maybe jalapeño seeds left but didn't sour my experience. The shishito peppers ended up being extremely spicy as well, those are usually just a few spicy and not the majority. The roasted lemon and salt was a wonderful combo but just too spicy to eat. However, the server very kindly removed it from our bill without us asking. We order the crostini because we were still hungry and that was an absolute hit. Delicious med-soft crostini with luscious berries and sweet honey. I didn't care my hands got sticky as it was soooo good! Great experience, I would be weary if the peppers as I'm a bit spice-intolerant but everything else was spot-on.

I think in many ways, Blind Pig just fell a little flat. I would like to say that the service here was amazing. A bartender who sat with you to talk about the menu, the process, and your experience very passionately and intently.  However, I think that the bar program is a little unrefined. Every drink had 10,000 ingredients, and most of them did not work together. If the drink did work together, you just tasted nothing because everything blended together and you couldn't taste any special or fun ingredients.  Unfortunately, I don't think this spot is worth looking for.

Seeing that it was named one of the top 50 best bars in North American, we had to check it out! We came in a Thursday night in mid-April about 9:45 PM. They have security outside thar checks IDs & also manages the queue in case the bar gets too crowded. We had no issues getting in, but there were zero indoor seats available - both the bar & table seating. Thankfully, they have a really cozy & well-lit patio area. The waitress let us know that even the outdoor patio has table-side service, so we made ourselves comfortable on the outdoor bench & within seconds she had brought us waters & cocktail menus. Weather outside was really nice, so I'm glad we actually sat outside. Each cocktail is $20, which definitely is a little steep, but I think the creativity, quality, & prestige of being named a top 50 bar supports the price. Each part of the menu is organized by liquor ie whiskey, vodka, brandy, gin, etc. We tried 4 drinks total. I only took menu photos of the pages we ordered from but they have a lot more selections. We ordered the Kung Fu Pandan, Silky Street, Rice Rice Baby, & Tropical Gangsta. We had some favorites over others, but all were very well crafted! The drinks came out pretty quickly considering how busy it was. The only hiccup was our final drink took quite a while. Turns out the ticket machine malfunctioned & deleted orders put in & caused a back-up. The waitress was so apologetic & ended up comp-ing 2 drinks, which she definitely didn't have to but it speaks volumes to the high standards they hold themselves to & their customer service. Overall, highly highly recommend checking this place out for a fun night out or post-dinner treat! Glad we made the decision to stop in!
