Only got food here, and still exceeded expectations! My friends and I ordered some appetizers and ABV Burgers, all of which were amazing! The staff was also particularly sweet, and I loved the ambiance of sitting outside with the heaters on.

Come here for the food. Things tried: 1. Spicy Chickpeas - kinda surprising. Definitely a wow item. Spicy crunch and warm 2. Chowmein - 10/10 there are these beautiful chicharrones in there, and has that saucy Chinese restaurant taste 3. Burger - gorgeous but on the smaller side. Absolutely perfect though, nice sauce and perfect. Fries make up for the smaller portion Drinks - personally I thought they were OK. Good but come for the food.

I am always on the search for late night good eats. Being the foodie night owl makes YELP a great tool to find the non-touristy spots. ABV pops up, open late & has soft shell crab tacos. SOFT SHELL CRAB tacos - interesting - a had to try. The food came out quick, hot and fresh. These tacos were phenomenal the appearance and the taste. Ahi Tuna was served with some delicious seaweed rice chips. YUM! Let's talk about the venue. I am not familiar with SF so I am barely getting to know the neighborhoods. After driving around like 10 times with the address in my GPS. I was stumped - really could not find it. Once I found parking I walked to find a trendy looking dim busy bar. When I walk in, it's a lot of people. It looks like there's bar seating everywhere. I am stopped by dark haired waitress who says to grab a seat anywhere & we'll come to you. I see a few open seats in the bar area. Too much going on there. So I go back to find the waitress to ask her if there's any tables to sit at. She reluctantly says yes, and walks me to the back room. There are a handful of long tables & more bar seating. I attempt to engage conversation with her about the difficulty to find the location because there is no obvious signage. I was taken back when I was sat next to a couple at a long table. Community style seating no biggie. But tell a girl, felt so awkward next to them. While making my order I tried to engage in conversation about the food. I am a chatty Cathy what can I say? Not a smile or further dialogue about the food. At first, I figured she was having a bad day or really isn't friendly. To be honest, her face looked like she was annoyed anytime she had to talk to me. The engagement & several other things that she did that made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome that I cut my visit short. Seriously, all I wanted was to try the tacos maybe ppl watch. As I left, I asked her name and politely let her know how I felt about her service. She had the audacity to act like she was surprised! Mind you this was as I left, that I had to ask Miss Leanna twice for her name. This was because she didn't once tell me it for all the times she encountered me. TBH, I hate that this review is mostly about a bad encounter about one person. The other staff were fairly nice though & again the food was served hot & fresh. Anyhow, the tacos are a must try!

Looking for a great cocktail bar with a chill vibe and superb service then ABV is your spot. Been enjoying adult beverages here over the years and the place always delivers. It gets packed but not overcrowded. The bartenders know their game, the cocktail menu is solid and sorted by spirits friendly m classic to inventive they shake and stir to make you an excellent drink. The bar food is as elevated as the cocktails from the chicken sandwich and chow main noodles to soft shell crab tacos you can't go wrong. Tip the bartenders well they deserve it.

Been here a few times, and I can say that ABV is exactly what you want for a laid-back evening out - whether it's date night or drinks with friends. This place nails the casual cocktail scene with an impressive drink menu and approachable food that won't break the bank. This place has an extensive cocktail selection with knowledgeable bartenders who are happy to explain their creations. Reasonable prices for the quality and portion sizes. Relaxed atmosphere perfect for conversation. The standout was definitely a cocktail with carrot juice (wish I remembered the name!) - it was both unique and delicious with a generous pour. The ahi tuna tartare ($19) paired beautifully with crispy sesame chips and was fresh and flavorful. The food isn't fancy but it's exactly what you want when you're focused on good drinks and good company. The bartenders were patient with our questions and clearly passionate about their craft. Bottom Line: ABV delivers on its promise of great cocktails in a no-fuss environment. Will definitely be back to try more of their menu!

Went for two and got seated immediately at a counter. The drink I got was tasty! Almost tasted like juice. The grilled mushrooms were a nice snack - I do wish there were even more of them. The interior wasn't too loud, though I'm not sure what it's like theory the place because we sat by the door.

ABV is probably one of the best bars in the Mission. They're sitting at such a great location @16th and Valencia/Guerreo. It was packed on a Thursday night, we wanted to get a couple cocktails and a "girl dinner". The indoor seating has dim lighting, it's a common first date spot. They have outdoor patio with heating, perfect for these cold SF nights. I got the Pickle Drinky? I really liked it, I am a fan of the new wave of savory cocktails. Their Gin&Celery is my favorite cocktail on the menu. It's incredibly good- boozy, salty, vinegary notes? If you like salt and vinegar chips, I feel like you'd like this drink. This is a cocktail bar, there is something for everyone even NA drinks. They also serve great bar food. We got fries and fried cauliflower seasoned with harissa and comes with aioli. The cauliflower was amazing- fried perfectly, seasoned really well. I was such a fan. This is the ideal spot for cocktails and bar food, I will be back with friends!

4.5. Great bar with excellent drinks. Think neighborhood, casual, wooden long tables, modern industrial and taverny. It's not your classic romantic date-spot, but it can be intimate depending on your seating situation given the dim ambience lighting. Good bar to have convos (not too loud) or hang with friends. While dim, you probably don't want to canoodle here since you might be sharing a communal table with others, but it is a great spot to build up vibes for some canoodling later. I really liked their Terragon drinks, very well made - they had one slightly highball-esque and maybe mezcal that was really good. Stars for the drinks. I heard their food is also good but did not try. Would recommend!

First time here and was so pleased by the service and atmosphere! Very friendly staff. Our group of 3 came around 8:30pm on Saturday, but the place was packed due to Pride weekend. There were no tables available so we sat at the counter by the wall. Our server gave us lovely recommendations and regularly checked up on us. I got the Green Dream (non-alcoholic: tarragon, lemon, ginger, tonic) and I loved it! Tart, sweet, refreshing - gave me sour candy vibes. Great place to chat with friends and try out some interesting cocktails!

Stopped by ABV on a Saturday early evening and was pleasantly surprised--great energy without the usual weekend chaos. It wasn't too crowded or loud, and the vibe was just right--a relaxed, mixed crowd with a good buzz in the air. The drinks? Absolutely top tier. Spirit-forward cocktails with a great variety, and you can tell there's real thought and craft behind the menu. Service was friendly and fast, and I especially loved the counter seating--perfect for solo sipping or catching up without yelling over a crowd. Haven't tried the food yet, but I definitely will next time. Easily one of the best bars in SF (duh) for a quality cocktail and a chill, grown-up time.

I was craving a refreshing craft cocktail and got one with the Green Emmanuelle. I liked the cardamom in the Beauty Mark as well that my partner ordered. We ordered shishito peppers and mushroom bahn mi sliders. The mushroom bahn mi sliders were amazing - the quality fillings and taste of the soft bun - I was unexpectedly hit with a bite of spice from maybe jalapeño seeds left but didn't sour my experience. The shishito peppers ended up being extremely spicy as well, those are usually just a few spicy and not the majority. The roasted lemon and salt was a wonderful combo but just too spicy to eat. However, the server very kindly removed it from our bill without us asking. We order the crostini because we were still hungry and that was an absolute hit. Delicious med-soft crostini with luscious berries and sweet honey. I didn't care my hands got sticky as it was soooo good! Great experience, I would be weary if the peppers as I'm a bit spice-intolerant but everything else was spot-on.

I think in many ways, Blind Pig just fell a little flat. I would like to say that the service here was amazing. A bartender who sat with you to talk about the menu, the process, and your experience very passionately and intently.  However, I think that the bar program is a little unrefined. Every drink had 10,000 ingredients, and most of them did not work together. If the drink did work together, you just tasted nothing because everything blended together and you couldn't taste any special or fun ingredients.  Unfortunately, I don't think this spot is worth looking for.

Seeing that it was named one of the top 50 best bars in North American, we had to check it out! We came in a Thursday night in mid-April about 9:45 PM. They have security outside thar checks IDs & also manages the queue in case the bar gets too crowded. We had no issues getting in, but there were zero indoor seats available - both the bar & table seating. Thankfully, they have a really cozy & well-lit patio area. The waitress let us know that even the outdoor patio has table-side service, so we made ourselves comfortable on the outdoor bench & within seconds she had brought us waters & cocktail menus. Weather outside was really nice, so I'm glad we actually sat outside. Each cocktail is $20, which definitely is a little steep, but I think the creativity, quality, & prestige of being named a top 50 bar supports the price. Each part of the menu is organized by liquor ie whiskey, vodka, brandy, gin, etc. We tried 4 drinks total. I only took menu photos of the pages we ordered from but they have a lot more selections. We ordered the Kung Fu Pandan, Silky Street, Rice Rice Baby, & Tropical Gangsta. We had some favorites over others, but all were very well crafted! The drinks came out pretty quickly considering how busy it was. The only hiccup was our final drink took quite a while. Turns out the ticket machine malfunctioned & deleted orders put in & caused a back-up. The waitress was so apologetic & ended up comp-ing 2 drinks, which she definitely didn't have to but it speaks volumes to the high standards they hold themselves to & their customer service. Overall, highly highly recommend checking this place out for a fun night out or post-dinner treat! Glad we made the decision to stop in!
