    CLOSED ON SUNDAY AT NOON

THIS PLACE IS NOT OPEN ANYMORE. As many people stated we came on a Sunday at Noon and the place was completely shut down. Apparently they do this every Sunday. Be in mind it's the middle of the NFL playoffs and why they would decide to close during peak hours is beyond me.

Friendly people working there, reasonable prices. My wife loves that they've become a Chiefs bar too. Good selection of beer with some ciders, seltzer, and a non alcoholic beer. I recommend against the cocktails - clearly not an emphasis here.

Had a great time at Buzzworks when watching the Chiefs game this weekend. This is a KC bar through and through, so if you come during Gameday, expect some loud and rowdy guests. But it's all in good fun. It wasn't actually too busy when we were there, but I assume it does get busier for more important games. We were able to easily find plenty of seating for everyone. They have KC specialty beers that you can't get anywhere else, which is a very pleasant surprise for KC natives. However I have to say I was a little disappointed when I ordered a diet coke and it was a can instead of a refillable glass. My only true critique of the place is the lack of any type of food. When you sit there for four hours, you are bound to get hungry, and although they allow outside food, there aren't many places around to get any. If it did have some snacks, it would be the perfect Gameday bar.

This review is for all fans of Real Madrid. Madridista Asi Asi Asi gana el madrid. Love it. As a Real Madrid fan, I loved the atmosphere here, what an absolute game to watch here at buzzworks, it was spectacular game and the crowd were amazing here. Real sport fan bar club. The roofs were on the go when the Madrid won the game and the crowd were amazing. Get your light drinks before you get in and grab the seats and top floor has the best viewing of the game. Even if you stand and watch its still the best view from the top floor. Watching a soccer game, stay put because you never know. Cheers to all the Buzz Works crew, did a great job and handled the crowd very well. Hala Madrid! Champions

Was in town for the playoff game between the Chiefs and Jags and didn't want to miss the game. My cousin, who lives in the area said that Buzzworks was the official Chiefs bar in the Bay. Headed in about halftime while the 49ers were playing. It was completely full of 49er fans and a few people with KC attire. It was standing room only. As soon as that game was over it started clearing out and all the Chiefs decor went up. It was a blast! It felt like being in KC! Buzzworks only serves drinks but there is a pizza stand outside and you can bring food in which is great. I just wish I knew that before hand! The service was friendly but you had to go to the bar to get your drinks. Fortunately the Chiefs won so it was a big celebration!

Great place to watch sports! The best part is that they play the sound!! I hate watching sports with no sound. This bar gets it. There are two levels and one main bar area. Decent selection of craft beers. You are also allowed to bring outside food. They also have arcade games. Overall great place to hang with friends. Would recommend.

    Niners win :)

Nice huge screens and great bartenders, but they need to add hooks to put our bags and coats underneath the countertop. Any decent pub should have these hooks to hang our purses on, so we don't have to place them on top of the bar in the way of everything. I suggested that they add these hooks last year when the Niners were in the playoffs, and this year they still haven't added any. Adding these hooks to hang stuff up would change my rating from 2 to four (4) stars.

This spot is so great, I ended up here twice back to back on the same weekend! First of all, the bartenders are awesome! On my first visit, the bartender recommended a couple drinks for me and I found one of my new favorites: Boochcraft Grapefruit Hibiscus Heather ($7.50 for 10oz). If you like a fruity cider type of drink, this is a must! On my second visit, the new bartender I had remembered me to close out my tab without even mentioning my name --very personable. The other perks of this spot is their huge space and high ceilings. They have two pool tables upstairs for $1 per game. It was so much fun to play on a date night and with a huge group of friends. There's also a row of arcade pinball machines, but those were a bit pricier at $2 per game. Lastly, they also have some food options for you. I tried the Joe Thornton ($6) and Stephen Curry ($7) Hot Panini from my friends. To be honest, I'd skip on the paninis as they were just rather okay. I did really enjoyed the Chips and Queso ($3), which was a crowd favorite that we had to make another order. Overall, super fun spot to hang around with some drinks and games. For more food options, it's walkable to SOMA StrEat Food Park with a rotating group of food trucks after some drinks.

Overall, the pizza was good. My only complaint is that they put a little too much Parmesan on top for my taste since I'm not really a parm person. I found this place through Barstool Pizza Review, so I definitely wanted to give it a shot. I'd give it a solid 4.5-5 stars. I've been trying different pizza spots all day, and I wouldn't say this was the best one I had, but it definitely wasn't the worst either. It was just a good, solid pizza. Next time I'll ask for no Parmesan, and I think that could easily make it a 5-star experience for me. Service was okay. It seemed like they were mostly set up for dine-in, and since there really wasn't anywhere for us to sit, we felt a little rushed. The lady who helped us was very nice, and the gentleman who handed us the pizza was nice as well. The place has a cool neighborhood feel and looks like they may be doing some construction or improvements right now. My quest to find the best pizza in San Francisco is reminding me how much I enjoy sitting down for pizza with the ones I love. And Hi Hat is one of the best spots in the city to do that. The people are super nice. There's plenty of space to cozy up, and probably a dozen beers on tap. Good, local beers, like Bare Bottle. Cellarmaker. Ghost Town. And yes, the food is really really good. Especially the pizza. They're known for their spicy vodka and Stracciatella which has this creamy, garlicky sauce...and a slow burn to it. I really enjoyed it. And the jersey pie, which is really all about the tomatoes. My wife LOVED it. I thought it was good....in a simple pleasures kinda way. You can these by the slice, and after 9PM slices are three bucks. But some pies, you can only get whole. Like this sausage and ricotta pizza that I absolutely loved. I'm normally not a ricotta guy - but this was whipped so light and airy...in between bites of salty sausage....I get it now. And of all the NY style spots I've tried on this quest, this might be my favorite crust. I asked their pizza tosser how he does it. It's a five day process, and they keep the dough cold until the second it goes in the oven. That traps the air bubbles inside. And those bubbles are what give it this airy, crispy, fluffy crust. Then he slid a cookie in front of my daughter, and it hit me that this was HER first random tuesday nights going out to pizza with mom and dad...and I know she loved it too.

From the outside, The Beer Hall almost blended into its surroundings - I almost walked right by if it hadn't been for the neon "The Beer Hall" sign. The taproom is quite spacious and could accommodate several large groups; however, the night of our visit was relatively quiet, perhaps due to the cold weather. Since there weren't any large tables, our group spread out over three smaller tables. As people came and went throughout the evening, it was convenient that we could each order our own beer and food at the bar. I selected an IPA from Fieldwork, a local favorite, and the beer stayed cold and refreshing throughout the evening. The food menu was limited, but I was craving something warm and salty to pair with my beer. For nearly $10, the fries weren't cheap, but the plate was piled high with some of the best fries I've had in a while. They were served piping-hot alongside two dipping sauces - aioli and ketchup. My friends sitting around me couldn't resist them either, and the mountain of fries disappeared in record time. The servers at the bar were very friendly and checked in on our group often. We spent a few hours enjoying our conversation and beer, overall having a fun, laid-back evening.

Stepping through the door you wouldn't know the place was under new management if you didn't check the name on the door. Same decor, same layout, same everything except the logos/art. It's a nice place to swing by for a good beer. I hope they do well so that they expand the list of taps to a larger selection (they have the infrastructure, just not the kegs).
