Always loved coming to fort mason and visit their farmers market. We decided to try out Radhaus finally as it's always packed and seemed like a fun spot. Place is large with both indoor and out sitting. Food came out relatively quick. It was my first time trying bratwurst sandwich, which was a hotdog inside a sandwich form with fries. $24 It was okay, didn't feel too special. Also got the potatoes patties with salmon. The add on for salmon was $11 making the dish $26. I feel like the food was just okay, pricy for what it was, didn't really wow me. Since it was my first time trying German food, I didn't have much expectations.

Cute spot with a great selection of beer and authentic German food. Their Spätzle and their bratwurst are both great and they have other standard options if that's what you prefer. Great service and cute interior.

Radhaus has a great space with high ceilings, lots of natural light, and water views. We arrived for an earlier dinner on a Friday night (around 515pm) and there was a dj set up by the front door with uncomfortably loud music so we asked to be sat as far away as possible. That was my only hangup with this place. The food and cocktails were good, service was decent, and the ambience was lively - just so loud it was close to being unable to have a conversation.

There's a mix of outdoor seating and indoor seating. I'd recommend outdoor seating during the day if you have a jacket because it's quieter. Indoor seating can get very loud. Pretzels - the pretzel was my favorite. It had a buttery crust on the outside and it was soft on the inside. The mustard also had a nice kick to it. Fish and chips - the batter was a little thick on the fish and chips and the oil was a little old but other than that, it's your standard fish and chips.

My husband and I were able to get indoor seating for brunch in a Sunday just after noon without too much issue. Views were beautiful, the staff were friendly, and the food was delicious. I got the frühstücks-spätzle and my husband got the pretzel French toast. Both were very tasty. We will have to return to try their other food and drink options!

FOOD: 3 SERVICE: 3 AMBIANCE: 3 VALUE: 3 We did not have a good experience here. On the day we visited, we had a reservation at 12 noon and we arrived on time. Went were seated by the window, which had a nice view, but a little cold. We ordered promptly and as we finished ordering, a wedding party of about a dozen people arrived. Our pretzel arrived quickly, followed by my Jaegerschnitzel. Then they completely forgot my wife's Fisch and Chips and just started taking care of the wedding party. Thank goodness we had the pretzel, because my wife's lunch wasn't served until I had finished my lunch and we had to inquire about her order twice. They did comp her lunch, but then she hardly ate any because it was time for us to go. BTW, my schnitzel was thin and cardboard like. The only tasty bit was the mushroom gravy. A totally uninspiring visit and we most likely will not be back.

Great food, easygoing ambiance, excellent service. We got the lamb shawarma, potato cakes, smoked trout toast, beet salad. Food came out fast, it was a pleasant lunch experience. Lamb had a bit of a kick but I still enjoyed it (as a spice wimp). It was a bit chilly but I think that's the nature of the space.

Got there around 11:30 am when it just opened and when we finished the line was long, so be an early bird! The German cuisine was overall enjoyable--trout toast was the best of my selection!

    Pretzel French Toast

The pretzel French toast was incredible it was soaked in warm cinnamon sweetness, and somehow the bread stayed crunchy even after sitting in a takeout box! You can skip the chicken sandwich. It was honestly the saddest, driest sandwich I've had in a while. The chicken patty was thin and bland, with just a tiny dollop of horseradish sauce on a pile of raw red cabbage. The bun-to-meat ratio was way off, and at $25 it felt especially painful. I wouldn't order it again even if it were free.

Good German food and obviously good German beers too. The food is heavy and so is the beer but it's delicious nonetheless. The wait time was really long and the whole process of checking in is terrible. The same person is putting names down as well as taking folks to their table. You get two lines from this and it slows everything down tremendously . The location is downtown so parking can be a pain when there is an expo going on.

I love love love radhaus. Every time I bring friends they're always blown away if it's their first time. Recently my friend and I started a cycle social club--we've hosted 4 and this is an awesome post workout spot. We come ravenous, they're always incredibly accommodating, quick and Jesus in particular with the cool shades sends this over the top. Courteous, accurate and cool. Also, for the brunch menu (this part was new) the French toast was soooo good. I love gettin a little of everything and it all hits. There are a few tables outside and it's a nice and serene vibe. Large open areas, heat lamps and I fall in love with radhaus more and more every time!

    Delicious cider and mocktail!

I'm allergic to sodium nitrate & sodium nitrite which are typically found in many processed meats. Does your sausage &/or bacon contain them?

hello Vicki! Our bacon does contain sodium nitrates unfortunately, but I'm glad to report our pork sausage (used in our Bratwurst entree and also our Currywurst) is nitrate-free. Hope to see you soon!

    Do you have vegan sausages?

Hi Elaine, thank you for your inquiry. We do not provide vegan sausages at this time. We do have some wonderful dishes that we could prepare to suit a vegan diet such as Babe Farms Brussel Sprouts, and our delicious Beet Salad.…

    Does Radhaus have outdoor dining?

Yes, they have plenty of tables (and heat lamps) if you choose to sit outside.

Do they have a Happy Hour menu?

Is the parking at Fort Mason free on Sundays?

No parking is not free on Sundays. Parking must be paid for Monday through Sunday. You can see rates for parking here; https://fortmason.org/visit/.

    Are reservations required?

Amy, reservations are not required. Except for the occasional buyout of the restaurant, walk in dining is always welcome. If you would like to inquire about reservations you can submit a request for one through our website; radhaussf.com.

    Do they have outside seating?

They have at least a few tables outside!

Do you all serve any vegan friendly options?

Yes, we take care to keep a satisfying selection of vegan-friendly options. Watch for our monthly menu (http://RadhausSF.com) for details.

Do you guys have Eisbein (pork knuckles)?

Hello Adonay, at the moment we are serving a crispy skin pork knuckle (Schweinshaxe). We occasionally have Eisbein at our sister restaurant Suppenküche. It is a bit unusual for the American palate, so we have it as a special from time to time. We…

    Do they allow dogs?

Service dogs only inside but you can sit outside if you like!

    Are you dog-friendly?

We follow San Francisco rules and regulations, so (non-service) dogs are not allowed inside. Some people have been know to put them just outside the fence opposite their table.

Given air quality, does the restaurant keep the windows closed, is there air filtering? Most inside pictures show the windows opened and I want to know given the purple warning.

Hello Christine, yes we keep our windows closed and have a system to keep the temperature regulated and filtered. Be safe out there.

    Do they allow babies?

    Yes, certainly. Everyone is welcome.

The atmosphere is exactly what you want from a place like this as it is lively but not loud, cozy but not cramped, and always buzzing with good energy, from the staff through to most of the patrons on any given night. The menu is a greatest-hits tour of German comfort food. The deviled eggs are a must to start your meal and the wienerschnitzel is my personal go‑to as it is crispy, moist, and so flavorful every time I've had it. The jägerschnitzel is another standout if you are feeling something a little lighter and saucier as it rich and savory in all the right ways, and the sausages are always banging and perfect alongside a big stein of beer. It's the kind of food that feels made for long conversations and slow sipping. What really elevates Suppenküche, though, is the people. The staff are super friendly and clearly know their stuff, always ready with a beer recommendation or a menu suggestion and the patrons tend to match that vibe; if you end up at the bar or sharing a table, which is pretty common if you come with a small group, you're likely to find yourself chatting with someone new before long. There's honestly no better way to make new friends in SF than bonding over schnitzel and a great German beer at Suppenküche.

On the last weekend of the World Cup stroll in San Francisco on Clement street I landed at Steins. Inside you will see lots tables along with bar stools. I had a few steins of Hofbräu Original which were refreshing . I then ordered the fish and chips. The fish was fresh and crispy and if you like it sour like some in SF you can add the vinegar and do the performative extra lemon squeeze. The fries were almost like having Mc Donald's fries and were crispy and not too salty like some in SF. Overall a good place to catch a game all four seasons. Outside you will see a "sign"and it says "Stein"sometimes it gets crowded inside so you may have to wait in "line" people are here the beer and "wine" Go on a sports bar "crawl" to watch soccer, football and "basketball" and grab a stein that's "tall" during all four seasons Winter , Spring, Summer, and" Fall"

It was my second time coming here, and I stopped by with some friends to watch the World Cup. My…read morefriend was able to get a reservation and update it fairly easily. We came on a Monday night and it was quite busy, but I assumed that it was because of the World Cup. I definitely recommend coming for happy hour because they have a lot of snacks and bites as well as drinks for discounted prices. The service was immaculate and all the servers were so friendly and helpful. I enjoyed a little bit too much to drink, but I'm glad we had the bites to enjoy while we watched the game. Will definitely be coming back if I am in the city.

This was a great place to go thirty years ago. I worked nearby, and every other Friday afternoon,…read moremy co-workers and I would get together for an hour or two of very enjoyable dining. Flash forward a decade or so, and the place was completely different. I assume there was a change in ownership and/or management. Prices went way up, quality and quantity of servings plummeted, the ambience devolved from "Charming Old World Hofbrau" to "If you're over 30, you have no business being here" and our waiter could have been the "I don't want to get Snooty" guy from "Ferris Bueller's Day Off." Recent reviews give me the impression that the restaurant has returned to its original form, and I'm pleased if that's really the case. Still, in a city full of restaurants with excellent food and hardworking servers, it only takes one bad experience to undo all that goodwill.
