    Sauv blanc and rose

My friend and I popped in here and were about to leave when we realized it was a natural wine bar, but the bartender convinced us to just try a taste before we left. I can't believe it, but he managed to find me a natural wine I liked! The rose was my favorite. It didn't have that usual funky flavor that other natural wines have. I was sold! Service was good and the vibes were cool. We sat at the bar but they also had two patio options. Next time!

I Absolutely LOVE this place. Great beer, great wine, great vibes, great people. What more could you ask for??

Nice little winery/brewery just a few blocks from the beach! They serve up their own beers and natural wines, and empanadas in partnership with el porteno. We came to cool off with a refreshing drink after a walk along the Great Highway. They had bar seating indoors, a parklet in the front, and then some bench seating around a fireplace in the back. We opted to sit in the back and enjoyed what felt like a small private backyard. I didn't know the wines were natural when I heard about this place, but based on their uniqueness and funk, you can definitely tell they're natural upon first sip. Not a bad thing, just don't expect your typical glass of wine here. I wasn't in a natural wine mood, so I ended up getting their hazy IPA and my boyfriend their retro pilsner. We both liked our beers and enjoyed hanging out outside. Honestly the highlight here was the empanadas. I'm not always a huge empanada girl, but these were so damn good. We got a mushroom and ham & cheese to share and both were fantastic. The mushroom one was juicy and full of flavor, and the ham & cheese was well balanced with the richness from the cheese and the saltiness from the ham, which to my surprise an delight was prosciutto (clearly I didn't read the menu well). Would come back here again for a post-walk bite and beer, and maybe a glass of wine if I were in the mood for something natural!

Lovely little spot serving seasonal drafts and Empanadas. Very friendly service. Clean and cozy with some indoor and some outdoor seating. I'd totally go back when in the area for a quick bite.

visited this place from a recommendation of a friend who lives in the area and said it was a great place for empanadas and drinks, and she did not disappoint they have super interesting beers and wines and absolutely delicious empanadas. I had spent a few moments trying to decide which empanada to get before the bartender let me know there was literally only one left (the champignon mushroom one), and after I ordered it the poor guys next to me got turned away when trying to order some as well we tried the local honey beer with our snack which was super interesting and fun, I would get it again for sure. the bar overall had a really nice chill relaxing vibe. if I lived in the area I could definitely see myself being a regular here grabbing an empanada and a drink!

Small wine and beer spot that has amazing empanadas (Our favorites are the ham and cheese or the mushroom!). Staff is super friendly and the place has a great ambiance. You can choose to sit inside, or outside in the parklet or the small patio with fire pit in back. Leased/well behaved dogs are allowed inside and outside.

The outdoor fire pit, replete with garbage cans and random rubbish.

Cute little place. Out close to the beach. Nice open street sitting space and friendly bar area. To eat they offer hot empanadas, a few to choose from. Good interesting beer to choose from too. Clean bathroom as well! They also have an outback area. The have an outdoor fire pit, replete with garbage cans and random rubbish. Would be much nicer if it were a little more cleaned up. Maybe consider tossing the rusty shelfs and hiding the trash bins behind a bamboo curtain so they're out of sight and out of mind.

Went on a hike with the pups and was looking for a place to grab some beer. Used Yelp and found this gem! Dogs allowed inside and the service was great. They answered all my questions and made great recommendations. I enjoyed every beer I tasted and can't wait to go back!

The bartender was GREAT and the rose was delicious but we went there because while the location is small they have outside sitting. The front heaters no longer had gas "because we are getting rid of them" but they still had their parklet set up. The back area (which is noted to have a fire pit?) wasn't open. I assume bc she was the only staff - but that wasn't told to me. We still had a nice book club meeting but probably wouldn't pick the location again.

I ordered the spicy beef empanada, and OMG it was SO good. It was packed with flavor and perfectly crispy. I loved it so much that I ended up getting a second one, the chorizo and that one was amazing too. The chipotle spicy sauce and chimichurri complemented the empanadas perfectly. One detail I thought was really cool was how they stamped the restaurant's name, "VENGA," around the border of the empanadas. Such a small touch, but it made the experience feel even more unique and authentic. The food, hospitality, and cozy atmosphere made this such a memorable experience. Definitely would come back here again!

I don't know what type of day he was having, but it's no reason to treat somebody that way. Also dude... umm, you're working in customer service of course you have shit to do. That's part of having a job. I'm truly surprised that this establishment, where I've had excellent experiences before, hired somebody with such a horrible attitude and way of treating people. Hello Yelpers,…read more Wanted to share with everyone a phenomenal Empanada Joint located on Polk Street I the city. Wife and I had the unfortunate experience of having to get our passports expedited and had to return to the Federal Building on Turk. To make the best of a bad situation we ducked into a small establishment called Cafe Buenos Aires. Let me begin with saying this little gem of an empanada establishment has me yearning to return to San Francisco. I am not a city boy by any means and avoid the city like a bad rash. Wife and I ordered 4 empanada's and a special protein and collagen latte. Everything has me saying Obrigado! (Thank you). We had the Carne Picada (Choped Sirloin) was beyond good. I have had empanadas all my life and can simply say this one has blown my mind. Spice and seasoned to perfection with potatoes and quality chopped top sirloin cuts. Chicken (Pollo) same thing with quality ingredients. Beef (Ground Beef) also excellent not my first choice but why not. I'm already here. Service was friendly and the lady working today was awesome. Not much seating inside more of a to go spot but fit the bill. Finally the Protein Cafe Latte with collagen had the wife raving about how good it was. Trust me when she says we may have to go back is a rarity for her especially in SF. Can't wait to swing by when in the area. Don't miss this place it's worth a visit and revisit in my opinion.

The issue is that I was definitely pushing it on time if I planned on making my flight. As I was driving here, I had the thought that if there was an annoying parking situation or a line, I would just have to pivot and forego patronizing. But as it turns out, there was one spot available right next to the front door and no one inside. But then when I requested a nitro, the owner (I assume?) was extremely apologetic that their coffee machine broke. I asked for a few alternate types of coffee, but it turned out said machine controlled it all. So we shifted to the pastries. I read on the website that they had something with guava, so I asked for two of those: one for me, one for the wife. He even offered to heat mine up, which I will say yes to 100% of the time. I then jumped back in the car and was back into "don't' miss your flight mode." Of course, when you're in a hurry, you manage to hit every red light along the way, so I was doing a lot of yelling at electricity and God. But then I figured I might as well take the time to try the pastry that I'd originally planned on eating on the plane. As it turns out, it brought me into a nearly immersive experience of zen. The only bad thing is that I devoured it within seconds and then it was merely a thing of the past. My wife is fortunate that I have the amount of integrity that I do because I am sitting on the plane as I write this and I could easily inhale that 2nd pastry with her being none the wiser. If you're reading this, wife, remember that you hit the spousal lottery.
