Food - rich, tasty, heavy. Service - fine. Ambiance - we were seated in the back room, which didn't quite have the same vibe as the main room. It is more intimate, but it felt like being tucked away in a forgotten corner. Might be fine for a date, but if you're looking forward to dining in the main room, best to let them know your preference when making a reservation. The highlight of the meal was probably the trio of spreads, although the chicken basteeya was good, too.

Divine sums up the experience and food here. We came here for a birthday brunch celebration and were met with an aesthetic ambiance and friendly server. We had some cocktails and the lebneh as well as an appts to we that I can't recall the name of. The lebneh was tangy and sweet at the same time, paired with the roasted granola and some fruit. The second appetizer included essentially lettuce wraps filled with a spiced mixture. I had the French toast topped with huckleberry jam and pistachio creme, cooked perfectly. We also tried the Shakshuka and a dish with prawns, capping it off with a cappuccino. Everything was simply delicious. Dining is a bit pricey here but worth it for the food! I would love to come back. Happy eating!

Aziza is a total mood. The decor hits that perfect sweet spot of dark, soothing, and sophisticated. It's the kind of atmosphere that lets you really focus on the food. And speaking of the food: the dips are the undisputed stars here. Every single one we tried was packed with flavor and perfectly textured. While the flatbread is incredible on its own, its true purpose in life is clearly to serve as a vehicle for those dips. The Shakshuka was another standout, beautifully presented with a sophisticated foam that really elevated the dish. We also tried the Cornbread, which was a delightful surprise. I expected a simple side, but it was unexpectedly sweet and completely hit the mark. The waiting staff was nice and funny. Any chance of a South Bay expansion?

Came here for my son's belated birthday and we ordered the entire menu, basically. Left so full and satisfied. Don't skip the flatbread -- it's soft, warm, and addictive. The texture is perfect. Loved the energy, loved the food, loved that we celebrated here. 10/10 would carb-load again.

Tried this authentic Moroccan restaurant for brunch and I tried their french toast, sausages and orange juice very delicious!! I think the restaurant itself was aesthetically pleasing to look at as well. I enjoyed the distinctive taste and texture of the different dishes i tried. It was really out of this world experience not typical American but I really enjoyed it and would go back again!!

Came here for a Saturday dinner and we were very impressed with the service and food! All the dishes tasted top notch!! We ordered a lot of dishes: the piquillo dip with sumac flatbread, roasted cauliflower with muhammara, shakshuka, cornbread with harrisa buttter and chicken basteeya. We were pretty full by the end and took 2 of the dishes as to-go. Loved the place and will definitely be back to try more dishes. Ambiance was pretty great, lots of seating but definitely needs reservations. We came in at 5pm and the place was pretty full by 6pm. Street parking can get tricky.

Food: 3/5 Service: 3/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Portion to Price: 3/5 Overall: Food was standard fare. The extended review... Food: Custard French Toast - 3/5 - Definitely more of a toast than a custard toast. Service: 3/5 - Standard service. Ambiance: 4/5 - A very well decorated interior. Portion to Price: 3/5 - Pricing for portion was fair.

Came here to celebrate a late Valentine's Day, and was surprised it was hard to book reservations even after the busy day. On the corner of Geary and 22nd, this unassuming but otherwise large restaurant made me thought I drove past it. Parking is tough, and makes you wonder if the parking situation is worth the hassle - and the money. We arrived ~10min after our scheduled time and were escorted to our seat immediately. For starters, service is very friendly and they seemed to know the menu very well, so feel free to bombard them with questions. We ended up ordering the 3 spreads, octopus, basteeya, and shakshuka. The 3 spreads, though very picturesque and tasty, was very similar to other places we've had cuisine wise, but at an elevated price. To top off, the bread was $4 extra (it was NOT free!!). The octopus is very reminiscent of a steak, but with an octopus twist. You can taste the char, and it was cooked to perfection Would definitely recommend ordering this. The basteeya is basically a sweet chicken pot pie, but the bread is more crunchy and flaky. It was pretty good, but a little too sweet and you can feel yucky after eating most of it. Recommend sharing it, but also do not think it's worth $36. The shakshuka has a little bit of spice but otherwise is good and flavorful. This was recommended to us by our waitress, but unfortunately I don't think it fits our Chinese taste buds. Service, though friendly and relatively attentive, was super slow. I think we waited 1 hour before our last dish came out. I get that the tables are small and the dishes itself are big, but they seemed pretty stubborn on giving your orders one at a time. You had to "unlock" the next dish in your order by first finishing the current dish on the table. Our dining experience took way longer than expected, to a point where my boba places were going to close soon! For reference, I came in at 5:35 and didn't leave until 7:20. tl;dr - solid spot, a little pricey due to location and decor. Get the octopus, and don't forget about the 6% surcharge. Solid place, but don't see myself coming back.

Came for a late brunch on a Sunday and had a good experience! Food: each dish was fresh and tasty. Normally I'm not the biggest fan of shakshouka but theirs was so flavorful, didn't taste like just tomatoes. Fair warning the French toast was soaked thoroughly so texture-wise, it was a bit too soggy for my preference. Still tasty tho! Service: not the fastest but staff was friendly. Our reservation was at the tail end of their brunch hours so most tables were full which resulted in the slower service Ambiance: clean and pleasant vibe inside

We had a wonderful meal at Aziza. Everything was delicious! We had a dining credit to use up before the end of the year and decided to try Aziza after having had it on the to-try list for a while. Our experience did not disappoint - in fact it exceeded my expectations. Service was fantastic - both friendly and professional, and attentive. Definitely feels like a nice dinner spot to splurge on. FOOD // + Corn bread with harissa butter: *the best corn bread we've ever had!* + Eggplant with piquillo pepper, capers, golden raisins, pine nuts + Cauliflower with muhammara, hazelnut, urfa + Grilled broccolini with green charmoula, preserved lemon, alliums + Shakshuka with leeks, chickpeas, japlapeno cream, hen yolk, grilled bread + Salmon with saffron, preserved yuzu, beets, kumquats, grapes + Kefta brochette with miso-date butter, sesame, pickled grapes, onions + Braised lamb shank with cracked wheat, moyer prune, sweet potato, herb jam + Yuzu custard with cherry mascarpone, lemon thyme, chive I'd highly recommend everything above (though note that the menu sometimes changes a bit), except I didn't quite love the shakshuka - it was quite acidic and needed more of that delicious Josey Baker bread to accompany it.

Came here with a late lunch reservation (1pm) on a weekend. We still ended up having to wait about 20 minutes for our table, and we were told they were super understaffed. It also took a while for our order to be taken, and it felt like they forgot part of our order. Dishes came out slowly, even though the rest of the place seemed to be starting to empty out. We had to ask about our food twice, same as the table behind us, and one of the staff started taking away our utensils and asked if we wanted the check before we even received our last dish. Ended up waiting almost 30 minutes after we ate all the rest of our food just for that dish (the shrimp polenta), which slightly ruined my enjoyment of the dish. We were told the food runners just forgot about our section, which doesn't seem to make a lot of sense to me, but at least we got our food in the end. Normally, I don't care at all about a restaurant's ambiance or service - frankly, I love shouting for a waiter in a crowded dimsum restaurant. I feel like overall, the food was fine, not exceptional, but I was really disappointed by the level of service for the price point, hence my middling review. The food: We really wanted to try the kofte brochette, but were told that the brunch menu was a misprint and they didn't actually have it available for brunch! If that's true, the restaurant should at least edit their online menus, because if we had known, we would have come for dinner instead :( Beghrir pancakes - an interesting texture on the pancakes, and very honey forward overall. Delicious for 2 bites, but then became a little one noted. Would probably work better if you shared with 4-6 people and everyone had a single bite. Burrata - the best dish we ate. Loved all the different textures of the spice mix and edible flowers on top. Unfortunately only came with two pieces of sourdough, I could have had double the amount of bread to pair with this! Shrimp polenta - it was fine. Shrimp was well cooked, and the bits of garlic are flavorful. As mentioned before, I think I was a little crabby after being made to wait so long for this, so I feel like I have worse memories of this dish than it's actually owed.

Wow... I was very happy with my time at Aziza! We made a reservation and didn't have to wait once we walked in. They have two different dining rooms. We were taken to a more secluded one, which I preferred. We happened to be eating around brunch time, so the menu was limited. At first I was worried, but the dishes were amazing! We got the shakshuka with kefta on the side and scrambled eggs with avocado toast. The shakshuka was definitely my favorite. The tomato flavor with eggs and chickpeas was everything. The eggs were also scrambled really well. I loved the taste and texture. Would highly recommend this place! Will definitely be visiting in the future for dinner.

Wow, I've been here before?? Whoops ... heh. But my excuse is that it was 5 years ago. This experience was different than my last review. We came for Sunday lunch. We were sat in the back and ordered almost everything on the brunch menu. Typical of me to over-order in excitedness. Peep the pictures, though, worth it! Olives 5/5 - Saw another table getting this and had to get it. Aesthetic and WARM OLIVES? Delish. Burrata 4/5 - Burrata is always yummy, it's hard to get it wrong. It was good except I didn't care for the spice they added. It overpowered the delicate taste of the rest of the ingredients. Pancake 4/5 - Interesting texture and flavor. It was salty by itself. Adding the butter and syrup on top made it delicious. It was kind of soggy, so I had to dock a star. Caesar Salad 5/5 - Crunchy, flavorful, fresh. Prawns 4/5 - Good but the dish either needed more prawns to justify the price or the price needed to go down. Shakshouka 5/5 - TWO runny, gummy eggs! Tender chick peas. Good seasoning for the tomato base. Eggs benedict 3/5 - The smoked salmon was kind of fishy, I was a little scared of food poisoning. I liked the mushroom layer, making it unique. Potatoes were kinda dry. Yogurt 5/5 - Juicy fruit, yogurt wasn't overly sweet, crunchy granola. Kid's fan fave. Service was good, the waiter checked on us regularly and we asked for all of the food to come out as soon as they were ready since kids are on a timer before they get antsy in their pantsy. Pro tip: Feed your kid everything else before the yogurt! After the yogurt, they won't want anything else. They sat us in the back room, where I think they put all of the families with kids. I didn't mind since we'd feel less bad with noise. Def recommend coming for Sunday brunch. Glad to see they've survived COVID and still pretty busy!
