The locations of the restaurant is on Mission St, which is very busy. We got to the restaurant about 10:30 AM on a Sunday. There is only street parking and not a lot so it took a bit to find a spot. The front of the restaurant does not catch your attention when driving by. Maybe we lucked out but there was no wait to get seated. About 11 AM the restaurant filled, but they were quick to seat so no real line outside. Once inside, the nice clean contemporary decor was very inviting and the staff friendly & attentive. It did not take long for the food to be served. We ordered drinks, the Volcano Coffee & the Mango/Green tea Latte. Truth we ordered the drinks because of the way they looked in pictures. Unfortunately they were more pretty than flavorful. Food we ordered the K-Bomb Benny that had poach eggs on a ciabatta bread with Chipotle Hollandaise sauce & the K-Bomb chicken sandwich. The chicken was definitely the star of the dishes. The chicken was moist & crunchy and the sauce was so well balanced in taste that complimented the chicken. I only wished it was a little spicy. Even the chipotle hollandaise was not spicy, but we ended up eating the whole dish. We ordered the Creme Brûlée French Toast, which was beautiful, but it was nothing special. After seeing all the rave on social media & insta worthy meals, I just knew I had to check it out for myself. We were told there was a 10-15 minute wait, but got seated after just a couple minutes. Perhaps this is an unpopular opinion, but I found this place to be overhyped. It flooded my Instagram feed when it first opened, and I'll admit I was influenced. In reality, the food is no better than any other standard brunch spot, and much of it tasted pretty generic. I arrived just before noon on a Saturday and was seated immediately for a party of two, which was a nice surprise. However, the Korean Chicken Benny tasted more like it was covered in Mae Ploy sweet chili sauce than anything resembling gochujang. The lychee butterfly pea drink reminded me of Lychee Calpico or canned Chinese lychee drinks. Aesthetically, everything is beautiful, but the food itself was mid. The only dish I genuinely enjoyed was the Crème Brûlée French Toast but not enough to return for it alone. The shrimp were perfectly succulent, the potatoes were crispy and flavorful, and the hollandaise sauce tied everything togethe. Even the side salad was refreshing. My partner ordered the Crème Brûlée French Toast: rich, sweet, and delicious. My mom had the Nova Omelet, and the smoked salmon was fresh and full of flavor. Love these types of over-the-top fancy brunch places. After a medical appointment nearby on a random Wednesday, decided to go into diabeetus overload with some sweet brunch treats. Pick up what I'm putting down- this is my second time going to Four Chairs for brunch because I enjoyed it that much, and wanted to give it a proper second try before I left a review (in case it was a fluke). This is my second visit to four chairs. We got there at around 11:30am and it was packed. We put our names on the yelp waitlist inside. We checked to see if we can do it through the yelp app and it was not available. The wait wasnt too bad for 2 people. It was about a 20 min wait. Inside was really loud with music and people talking. We ordered a k-bomb chicken Benny and a loco plato. They were okay and nothing too special. The portions were big. Service was good. They came to refill the house coffee a few times. When my partner looked at it later, it changed to an hour and 10 min. Very weird haha. They sat us down near next the bar where they prepare drinks. I am not an Eggs Benedict girl but Four Chairs converted me. Perfectly poached eggs, soft bread (I didn't even need a knife), and that Korean chicken? OMG...flavorful, absolutely unreal. Convenient location in the city, although parking could be challenging outside depending on what day/time you go. We met up for brunch and everything on the menu looked mouthwatering. They have a QR code menu and all of their dishes come with a nice visual image of what you shall expect. We ended up getting a few things, but my favorite item on their menu would have to be the mascarpone pancakes! Everything about them was beyond delicious! From the fresh fruit, to the mascarpone creme, to the fluffy pancakes, to the syrup. It all just tied together very nicely. And this creme brulee french toast was amazing. I've honestly never had anything like it. The custard was delicious and I was practically licking the plate. I would say the drinks are cute but could be better. I got the Thai iced tea and it could've been a little stronger. I have admittedly become pretty picky about cafe tea drinks but I would personally save my money (and maybe get another dish here instead). Overall a fantastic experience and worth the wait!
