I decided to come in to Z's during my break because I work in the same plaza and it seemed really convenient. I decided to order the lunch sized General Tso's Chicken with chow mein with the yelp check in for a free drink. I didn't have to wait long for the order to finish and get delivered over to my work place. The chicken and chow menu smelled and tasted really good with a little bit of Sriracha. It wasn't too salty and the chicken wasn't too sweet. The amount in the lunch size was enough to fill me up. If you were to get the dinner size and a side of white/fried rice or chow mein for a dollar more, it'd be worth it if you shared with someone. The customer service was also pretty nice. Great little place. Friendly staff and It was the only place open at the time. I went with a dinner size Kung pao and fried rice. Was very good and had just the right amount of spice I wish the Kung pao had a bit more onions but it was very filling and very flavorful. I will come back again for sure! read more

We ate here yesterday for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the pork belly and my wife had the orange chicken, and both were delicious. I've been waiting to tryout this place for months since it was first opened last spring this year. This Chinese restaurant is an okay place to eat at. But, I can say that the Vietnamese restaurant (Big Chopsticks) next door is better than this place. Z's Kitchen does have the same food like Big Chopsticks except that Z's food is not that good. The only thing about the food is that it isn't fried well, that's all I can say about it. What I like about Z's is that they have more beautiful decors, cheaper prices, and offers free drinks. This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have never tried this place and when I got home from work I ordered using a delivery app. I ordered for me and the kids at 9:10pm. The place closes at 10pm. I waited until 10:40pm only to receive a text saying that the order was canceled and money was refunded. I can't explain the frustration I was in at that point. I have had difficulty finding a Chinese restaurant with consistently good food but Z's has easily become my favorite! I would recommend getting the Thai tea with your meal, it's so good! This little gem is right around the corner from me and I get it delivered, we have ordered 4 or 5 times now and always pleased with it. The pork belly is absolutely a must have! The food is super fresh and delicate in flavor, I wish the orange chicken had more kick to the sauce, and just more sauce, but everything we've tried is quite good. The delivery guy got lost, twice, even after he called twice and I gave him specific directions....I'm literally 3 blocks away, so that cost a star. But the food is great and the price is right! Our party of three arrived around 7:30 on a Tuesday evening, there were only two other customers present. The first impression was that this was a fast food Chinese restaurant and not the table service dining experience we were looking for. We were sat immediately and given menus. We orders beverages and appetizers (consisting crispy egg rolls, crispy vegetable rolls, and cream cheese wontons, all were delicious). Our dinner choices were orange chicken, cashew chicken, and broccoli beef; sides consisted of fried rice, steamed rice, and chow mein noodles. I was pleasantry surprised with the quality of all of the food (especially the broccoli beef, probably the best I've ever had) The waitress (I'm assuming one of the owners?) was attentive throughout the meal. I'd say Z's provides tasty, good quality food at reasonable prices. The one "ding" I'd give this place (and not a big one) was the lack of Chinese noodles at the beginning and fortune or almond cookies at the end though given the prices I sort of expected that. read more

We came from an area where we loved our Chinese restaurant & (I) had been going there since I was 8 ( many, many moons ago). So, we were pleasantly surprised this evening when we decided to give this place a try and discovered that the food was pretty good! Nothing tasted bad ... the fried rice was mediocre, but the Mongolian beef, pad Thai, chicken and fries, and Thai soup were really quite good. We will definitely order again. Just opened by our house, kind of skeptical because typically Chinese restaurants here in orange are very Americanized. In fact, this was not only authentic, it was delicious. We order the pork belly rice here already two times. Typically, restaurants serve pork belly rice in tiny mined up pieces but not here . The pork was braised for many hours (the owner told me upon picking up) and the portion size was generous. Heard from a friend that this place is good. Ordered egg rolls and a dinner size teriyaki chicken with chowmein. The delivery fee was reasonable. The estimate time of delivery was about 60 minutes but they delivered mine just in 30 minutes. The food was really good. One of the best teriyaki sauce i have ever tried. Check it out if you can.
