Okay I normally never write reviews this long but this place deserves it lol. We were craving Thai food one night and randomly searched for a place that was still open. Found this little spot and ordered takeout thinking it would just be your average Thai food. Super small, cozy restaurant. We got the salad roll, red curry, tom yum soup, and pad thai and ... we were shooketh. The tom yum soup was INSANELY good. Fresh, flavorful, super lemon grassy in the best way. The only times I've had tom yum that tasted this good was in Bangkok and one restaurant in Vegas. After that meal we immediately said we needed to come back and actually eat there because there was no way everything on the menu wasn't amazing. Second visit we planned to try different things... but ended up craving the same dishes again lol. Reordered the salad roll and pad thai, then added tom yum noodle soup and crab fried rice. HOLY CANNOLI. The salad rolls are a must. I love that its not filled with noodles so it actually tastes fresh and light instead of filling you up instantly. The sauce is soooo good too. The crab fried rice was ridiculously flavorful and the tom yum noodle soup somehow tasted even better dining in. Then yes... we came back AGAIN for the third time this week Ordered drunken noodles, crab fried rice again because we couldn't help ourselves, salad rolls again, wonton noodle soup, BBQ chicken, and tom kha soup. The BBQ chicken was so soft and juicy and the tom kha soup was chef's kiss. We ended up talking to the owner because I am obsessed with this place and she told us how her and her husband were both engineers and bought this restaurant 2 years ago because her husband loves cooking. They are the fourth owners and apparently this restaurant has been opened since 1986! She also told us they grow their own chili peppers, which makes sense because everything tastes so fresh and intentional. Apparently they also have a chef that worked at a 5-star hotel in Thailand and is known for his boat noodles, so that's next on our list. I kind of don't want to leave this review because it's a tiny restaurant and I don't want there to be a wait but they genuinely deserve all the hype. Soooooooo good. Def try it. The 4 stars is only for the length of time it took to get our food. We came here for dinner before the Anaheim Ducks game and we had 8 in our party. To start, food was delicious and I can understand that a smaller family business may take longer but it literally took 1hr and 20 min to get all of our food and there was only maybe 2 other couples dining. They did apologize for the wait which is much appreciated but wow that's a long time an we were a little late to the hockey game. If I'm in the area again I'd still try it again. Can't complain about the delicious food :) read more

Came here on a Monday night when our usual Thai restaurant was closed. The service was excellent. They are kind, cook your food upon order so it's fresh, and check on you frequently to make sure you have everything you need. The inside is clean and cozy. Feels like you're at a home. When we arrived it was empty so we got seated right away. Feels authentic inside. Kind service. We weren't sure how spicy they do their dishes as all Thai restaurants have their variations. When we asked for more sauce, because both dishes were not spicy enough for us, they provided a platter to us, to which the staff recommended adding fish sauce to the green curry. We tried it and have to concur the curry (and even the pad thai) was better with some of that fish sauce. It added a little bit more spice to it too. Def want to come back and try the khao soi because it wasn't on the menu but we later saw it pictured on the wall. read more

Came here to try out a different Thai spot other than our usual place (Lanta Thai Fusion, if you don't read any further, just go there instead) and to give other places a try. I regretted it the moment I tried the papaya salad. The service was good and the food came out fairly quickly, we took it to go! It was boiling hot inside due to how the sun hits all the windows in the restaurant. They gave us some cold water while we waited though. Now the food: Papaya salad - I asked for this extra spicy and it was not spicy at all, on top of that it was missing the citrusy tangy fish sauce taste I have come to love about this particular dish. The portion was a fair amount for the price. Overall did not enjoy this as much as some other places I have tried. Orange chicken- yes I know it's not traditionally Thai but it was on the menu and sounded good. It was. The problem was they literally gave us 8 pieces for $15. That's $1.80 a bite basically. So overly priced for such small portions. Oh but atleast it was plated nicely with some broccoli to take up the space in the container. So disappointed. Tom Kha soup - I also ordered this spicy and not one bite was. This one though was made very well flavor wise. It was delicious! But. Same as the orange chicken I over paid for the portions. It had the smallest amount of chicken and mushrooms I've ever seen for a large. Another over priced but decent meal. Pad Thai - my husband ordered the crispy pork and again very small portions for the price. He loved the flavor of the pork and said it was cooked very well and that the pad Thai itself was made well and not on the super sweet side which he prefers. Overall the food here is very mediocre especially for the price. I think this review would have turned out better had the portions not been so minuscule for the cost. Nothing we had today was so good that we have to return. I highly recommend Lanta Thai Fusion on katella if you want better flavor and cost vs portions. Their food is in the same price range but just better on all other aspects. read more

Not bad! There's good and mediocre here. I'll start with the good! The orange chicken was great and the curry was decent. I enjoyed the sweet & sour tofu! It was flavorful and there was a good amount of tofu bites. Some mediocre notes. The Thai tea wasn't sweet enough. It looked like it would be creamy and sweet. But it wasn't. The sticky rice was alright. It needed more coconut cream though. It wasn't sweet enough and wet enough. That sounds weird to say lol But it needs to be more wet and juicy. It was more sticky and not sweet. I love mango sticky rice so much. And normally I enjoy sticky rice. But it was a miss here. Overall, not bad! Definitely hit the spot for Thai food. Service was good. Everything was packaged nicely. There weren't any napkins or utensils though. read more

This is a cozy hidden gem in Orange! The staff is friendly and very efficient in making sure our waters were refilled in a timely manner. We ordered thai teas, pad thai with crispy pork, and pineapple curry with chicken. Thai Tea- Sweet and creamy. You can really taste the tea and it was quite refreshing. Pad Thai with Crispy Pork- We were served a generous portion. The noodles were soft and chewy and the sauce was a perfect blend of sweet and tangy. The pork had a nice crunch and added a depth of texture to the dish. Pineapple Curry with Chicken- The sauce was so good! It has a strong sweet pineapple flavor with a hint of a kick. This is our second time coming here, and we're always so pleased. The food tastes authentic and absolutely delicious. This is our go-to spot whenever I'm craving soup -- the tom ka is one of my favorites and honestly makes me miss home from when my grandma used to make it (I moved here, lol). We're always happy to try new dishes, and we always leave with leftovers because the portion sizes are so generous. After boycotting this place for a few years. We decided to try it again after a friend we saw said it was sold again and it's better than it was. So we did, and I'm so glad we did. We have struggled to find a great Thai food place since Joe sold it. The owners now have made it great. The food was delicious and service was excellent. We ordered pad Thai with shrimp, pad see ew with chicken, homemade Thai egg rolls, and cucumber salad. All dishes were great. Loved the egg rolls so much. Missed having good egg rolls. First time experience was very positive. The owner was very nice and rightfully proud of their restaurant and food. We had green curry which was nicely spicy, pad Thai and a vegetable dish. The food was fresh, tasty and nicely prepared. They took time to chop vegetables for aesthetics which shows pride. If I had o e ask, it would be to serve a larger vegetable portion. My favorite Thai restaurant by far. We like to go to different Thai restaurants but this was my first time at this place and it was so exquisite. Very authentic Thai food. Let me tell you about a hole in the wall, clean, very home like, the owner greeted us kindly and sat us down. She made sure to recommend dishes and answered all the questions I had, we ended up having a feast and every single dish was absolutely delicious. Kindly attended at door, nice ambient.We went during lunch time so they served soup with our order and a free egg roll. The food was freshly made and delicious. We ordered Pad See Yew and Chow Mein. I also had cucumber salad which tasted freshly prepared, very good. My husband ordered egg rolls, happy with those too. We wanted mango sticky rice and wanted to call nearby Thai restaurants to check their availability for the item since not every Thai place offers it in the Spring. The man on the phone answered very quickly and attentively. We were seated immediately upon arriving and the menu looked organized and appealing as well. Would definitely want to come back and try savory items in the future! The mango sticky rice was beautiful and equally as tasty and decadent. There's no words to describe other than yummy in the tummy. We ordered a Jumbo Thai Iced Tea to share and it was appropriately sized for three small to medium sized girls to sip and share. The purveyors of this restaurant are cooking recipes brought from their home Country of Thailand. The food is prepared, using their own homegrown herbs and spices. It is a husband and wife team with their daughter also helping with customers. The wife hand pics the pineapples for the pineapple fried rice and coconuts for the coconut soup. Everything here is off the charts delicious! The inside of the restaurant is decorated, very cozy and warm, so do not be fooled by what the outside appearance is from the shopping center. read more

UPDATE: They claim they verified that I ordered off the dinner menu. There was none. In fact, I had to ask for the lunch special menu because it was not initially offered to me. I ordered the ka prow with lunch menu in hand before switching to the dinner menu to order the dinner menu only appetizers. There was no varification of any sort regarding the kaprow dish. No "Sir, just to be clear, did you want the lunch special ka prow or the dinner? The difference between the two are...". Misunderstanding? Fine, but if you have duplicate dishes on two different menus during a time where both menus are valid, you should be the one to make sure to avoid "misunderstandings". Hope this advise sticks for when you are faced with similar situations in the future, but again. This was the first and last time for me. Went in for takeout. Asked for lunch menu. Ordered a couple appetizersfrom regular menu, but also a lunch special crispy pork kaprow. Which should have been like 13 bucks. They charged me for a dinner kaprow (16) plus a special meat charge (4). When I got back to work I was wondering why the bill seemed a little high. Sneaky. I should have been more diligent in reviewing my receipt, but the principle. Well, fool me once, right?. Never again. read more
