    Green Curry - Chicken
    Neil G.

Not going to beat around the bush as we came here to celebrate my fiancé's birthday dinner, the ambiance is like an old worn down cafeteria, the service was bad and the food was mediocre to abysmal, I've never had such mixed feelings about Thai food as I LOVE Thai cuisine however with the entree's we ordered I have to say I was very much underwhelmed, the appetizer combo was a mixed bag of ok and mediocre, especially the shrimp tempura which had a tiny shrimp and all wrapping. If you decide to come here, the Pad Thai was actually decent and the Yum Nua but the rest of our order was just plain weird. I've had many FANTASTIC Thai Food especially when I used to live near Hollywood by Thai town - The Green Curry here I have to say has a weird after taste, It seemed the overwhelming amount of basil and green curry paste took over the flavor, it lost the balance of the coconutty delicate spicy creaminess you typically get from a Thai green curry, it was not good. My all time FAVORITE, Tom Yum soup was abysmal, First it was served in a rinky dink bowl not even the typical flaming Tom Yum pot, the shrimp was so tiny it was ridiculous and to add injury to my disappointment, the soup was sweet with just a hint of sour - again, totally missed the flavor of a typical mouthwatering Tom Yum soup and what happen to the lemon grass? This Tom Yum was an epic fail next to the Tom Yum served by Thai restaurant in Yorba Linda near Bradford - just no, absolute - NO. The Fried Rice and PadThai are just ok but as a birthday dinner for my fiance, I expected more, gambled & lost. We DID NOT enjoy our meal and experience contrary to recommendations, I guess it was good prior to covid but looking at the pictures here on yelp it doesn't even resemble how the interior of the restaurant look now - it looked run down and what made our experience worst was the service - just terrible, our server seem to be in a rush and just decides to bolt away whenever she wants especially while we are still placing our orders, she doesn't even bother to offer water and begrudgingly refilled my fiance's cup when I asked if she could please refill the cup. She was actually rude, I wasn't sure if she was having a bad day but once you start serving paying customers you should leave your personal drama out the door. The attitude is more sour than the Tom Yum. To be honest I love supporting small businesses and hole in the walls however without the business/employees making the effort to deliver what is expected whether food, ambiance, especially service, I couldn't bring myself to come back at this place again nor make a recommendation. Such a shame. All the best and good luck.

Unfortunately, I had better Thai cuisine than what I ate here. This lovely place serves very small food portions for the same price that other Thai restaurants sell. I should've looked at the review photos before arriving. The service is great! The mother-and-father owners are very friendly, and their 16-year old daughter is so wonderful to help out the parents. I do give so much credit for her to be working that young and supporting her family's restaurant. She can handle the work alone when her parents are not around at the front. Kudos to her!

I have been coming here since my college days, which is well over 10 years ago. I love Thai food and this mom-and-pop place is so charming and delicious! First off, I love their ambiance and how they designed it. It is traditional and their wall painting with the small waterfall is my favorite spot to sit. Food wise -- I have had their noodles and meat dishes. I love the Pad See Ew for noodles and their Crying Tiger Beef for meats. It is flavorful and love the Thai spices. An awesome deal is their meal that includes a soup, salad, and egg roll. Yum!

I had a horrible experience from here today I ordered via Postmates and found a bug in my food . I ordered shrimp friend rice with extra veggies and eggs very disappointed .

Came with white rice as well. I've been sticking to masala craft when it comes to curry and have always been hesitant to try other spots. This wasn't bad but it's also not masala craft, lol. I'm shocked to taste how sweet the curry is, not used to that (maybe I'll try the hottest spice level next time) but overall not bad. I like that they give you the option to add veggies but the sweetness of the curry was honestly overwhelming. Also I think some Naan should be included with the dish, that's just me though. I'd definitely give it another shot though...only because I'm obsessed with all things curry.

    2. Pad See Ew Noodle I took this from my plate and moved it out. I did not even finish the rest of my meal for this reason.

I would give a 0. I'm sorry I don't usually do bad reviews but after yesterday this is a must and something has to change. I ordered pad se ew and bit into the chicken and spit it out cause I saw the other piece was raw. I had raw chicken in my mouth! We let one of the ladies know and apologized, but only offered a free Thai tea as an apology. That's unacceptable. No free meal or money back, just free Thai Tea. Hope the owner sees this because I will move on to bigger things to make sure this doesn't happen again.

We stopped by here on my birthday for a nice evening dinner. Got there a little before sunset. There's just something magical about eating outside during a sunset, especially at the Orange Plaza. The restaurant has such a cool look and vibe! We started off with the Hamachi crudo, salmon ceviche, and a bowl of clam "chowdah". The crudo was absolutely delicious, highly recommend. The salmon ceviche was really good but a bit heavy on the sauce for me. The clam chowder had whole clams in the shell throughout. That was fun to pick them out! For entrees we got the lean and mean plate with sea bass. It comes with salad and rice, we substituted the rice for black beans. We also got the skirt steak "bulgogi" which was served on top of mushrooms and bok choy with a sweet soy sauce. They accidentally brought out salmon instead of sea bass, but were very apologetic. They brought out a sea bass on the side and comped the entree to make up for it. Great service right there! The salmon and seabass were both delicious and cooked perfectly. The steak was tender and juicy, full of flavor. As a birthday gift they brought out a thai milk tea blondie sundae which was soooo good! Get it if you like sweets. I wish the owners all the best in their future endeavors, they created a great restaurant that many will miss. Thanks to all the servers, hostesses, cooks, and bussers as well for making my birthday dinner so special!

The quality of both the food and service has noticeably improved, reflecting a real commitment to excellence. Managers Sam and Vincent made the evening exceptional by focusing on the little things--creating the right ambiance, adjusting the shades at the perfect time, maintaining an appropriate sound level, and ensuring every table was spotless, greeting all guest and serving. Those details don't go unnoticed. The true star of the evening was our server, Jason. Despite a packed restaurant and a busy section, he was professional, attentive, listened carefully to our dining preferences (very picky), and delivered flawless service and dining experience. He is head and shoulders above most servers in Orange County finest restaurant. If you're visiting from out of town, check the Angels' schedule before you go, as this location can get very busy on game days. Even when the restaurant is full, the team consistently delivers, unlike Angels, if want a great dining experience, I highly recommend this restaurant.

We started with a pitcher of Mai Tais, which were definitely a little boozy in the best way -- and somehow lasted the entire length of our casual two-hour lunch. Our server, Erin, was extraordinary. Friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience feel easy and relaxed. My table guest and I split everything, which was the perfect call. The guaca-poke was so yummy and a great start. Then we shared the two-taco platter with sea bass and steak, plus a side house salad. Full flavor, fresh, and the perfect size to split without feeling too heavy. And because we clearly make excellent lunch decisions, we finished with a one of a kind dulce leche spring roll . Worth it. Will I come back? Yup. Pacific Catch continues to be a solid go-to.

Like Gene, the serrano ahi poke bowl with wontons was the "go to" for every visit. Another fan favorite was the guac-poke with wontons. Well, wontons were removed from the menu altogether, and the serving size of the ahi is half of what it used to be. Not sure if this was a local decision or corporate decision, but it was a bad one! Second faux pas on the new menu is the removal of black beans with the taco plate. Now your options are fries or a salad. Who orders fries or salad with tacos? Black beans are so cheap. Even if you charge $1 for them, you're making money. Doesn't make sense to remove them. Oh, and the 3 taco plate is no longer an option. You can only get 2 tacos now. Third questionable decision ... eliminating the miso salad. The bartender told me that the house salad on the menu is the same as the miso salad. They mean the same thing. When the runner delivered what I thought was the miso salad, it looked different. So I asked her if this was the miso salad. She said no, that is no longer on the menu. So .... ya. Another big change for me was the removal of my favorite wine, the chenin blanc. The other whites are subpar IMO and not worth the drive over there ... especially with all these really poor menu changes. So now you know why I'm looking for a new happy place. If you know of any open air, fresh fish places, please DM me. Thanks! P.S. I went back and forth between giving 2 stars and 3 stars. The employees here are really exceptional. And I didn't think it was fair to give the whole restaurant 2 stars because their culinary executive is absolutely clueless.

This time we left without much desire to come back, and for me it comes down to one thing: how the food tasted. The amuse bouche was an inauspicious start -- small bits of a cooked protein (chicken?) in a standard Japanese onion vinaigrette. The protein was unidentifiable, I didn't finish it, and I'm not sure how it's supposed to set the table for a sushi dinner. Ohshima's strength is supposed to be nigirizushi: small rice, generous fish, with a carefully chosen condiment and/or tare to enhance each piece. That formula worked on the pieces that got tare -- akami and masu were the standouts of the evening. But on the remaining pieces, the itamae misted the fish with what he described as yuzu after construction. Yuzu has a distinct floral-citrus character that's hard to miss; what came through instead was a watery taste that muted the fish's natural flavor. Toro, which should have been a highlight, suffered the most from this. Water is the enemy of flavor, and whatever was in that spray bottle undermined the whole point of the condiment approach. Three of the thirteen pieces were closely related jacks -- hiramase, kampachi, and shima aji -- which bordered on redundant given how similar they are in flavor profile. The gindara was torched aggressively enough to leave a residual propane taste. At $260 for two before tip (including two large Sapporo), I'd also note that the diner's-choice extra piece offered on our first visit wasn't available this time -- a quiet downgrade, though I understand the economics. The technical execution was competent. Nothing was bad in an obvious way. But the watery flavor issue was consistent and consequential enough to make this a shadow of what it was.
