Came here because of the menu mailer I received. Glad I ended up trying the place, but I think I'll stick with my favorite spots in the Rowland Heights area. Dynasty is located in a small strip mall and is next door to Daiso. This means there's plenty of parking so parking shouldn't be a problem when we got here around 5 PM. I noticed there weren't many people there. Granted, it was still early and I'm assuming you'll get a little busier as the night goes on. We were greeted and seated at a table. The people were nice and while I was surprised they didn't speak. Cantonese, the server spoke Mandarin and help us make decision on what items to order. We ended up getting the green beans, the filet mignon French style, a black bean fish fillet, and their house special fried rice. I thought the best item that we got was the fried rice. They put a decent amount of shrimp and barbecue pork and it tasted pretty good. The green beans was a tad bit on the sweeter side which I wasn't used to, but it had decent flavors. The filet mignon was a little bit on the smaller side and there wasn't a ton of pieces in there and it was the most expensive dish of the night. I probably will skip that next time. The fish fillet was actually pretty good. All in all, 3.5/5 stars is probably what I would give it. There are definitely better Chinese restaurants if you're willing to drive a little bit out. At least it's nice that this place is conveniently close to where we live. read more

Received the flyer in the mail so decided to give it a try for the lunch menu. They serve soup first, wife says it is hot and sour soup, it was spicy for sure. I finished it out of hunger, she did not. I ordered mongolian beef and noodle instead of rice, they give you the option. Wife ordered the cashew chicken. It comes with an egg roll as well. Served piping hot and reasonable portion. meat was tender and sauce flavorful. Egg roll was an egg roll. They all seem to taste the same weather you get them from 3 item combo store or better restaurant. Not here for the egg roll. Wife had the cashew chicken, it was presented well. Water with lemon was served, not offered a soft drink or other beverage. The dear wife can be a food critic and her response was she enjoyed the meal. I did as well. I did notice the noodles had an different taste to them, could have used a little soy sauce maybe. Overall not a bad experience. Would I go again, maybe, if the wife brings it up. We came right at opening and were seated promptly. However, we were not attended to nor provided menus for an entire for 15minutes after, which might be longer if I did not get up on my own to ask for menu at the front. When asked for menu, the server said sorry it's bc they don't have alot of menu books available but proceeded to give me 3 out of like 10 that I see they have. So they obviously had some! There were only 3 tables that had customers. After that taking the menus, we were again not attended to for 20-30minutes, noone brought us water or ever asked if we were ready. We had to flag them, once again. They were at least 3 servers so it's not like they were short of help when there's only 3 tables full at the time. It's like they were ignoring us. We proceeded to order 9 dishes that took awhile to come out. Only 1 dish came out which was the walnut shrimp and then more came out 15minutes later. How do they expect our big party to start eating with just 1 dish. We also had to wait literally 30minutes with nothing to eat for 3 dishes at the end when we finished everything else already. We had to ask about it 3 times. They need better timing in everything.... I noticed a couple tables having the same problems. As for the food, it was alright. The honey walnut shrimp and fried salted pepper shrimp was not crispy. The peking duck was actually great, one of the best. But it is not worth their service & other foods.. I came here with my mom and my girlfriend, the food was absolutely amazing! We received a menu and decided to give it a shot and I'm glad we did! Drinks are very limited but the portions of food are very generous. Service was a little confusing but everyone seemed to be working hard and our leftover dinner was even packaged up for us in a very efficient way. The restaurant itself was very nice and clean. Everything was amazing and full of flavor , very good portion sizes and all the ingredients seemed fresh and top quality. Services was excellent everyone working seemed very friendly and knowledgeable of the food. The atmosphere and ambiance we very simple yet upscale. Warning if you are local and received their menu/flyer in the mail... those prices are for to go orders ONLY so expect everything on the actual menu (if you go to dine in)) to be higher. (I have never seen a restaurant charge different prices based on ordering to go or dining in?) Also, they do not serve steamed rice with their dinner entrées, so you'll need to add that on as well. I didn't see any mention of rice NOT being included (I just assumed it would be because ive never been to a Chinese restaurant where it wasn't included) nor did I see a price to add steamed rice (as an indication that it was not included) OR to even order steamed rice. The only rice listed in their menu was fried rice (also served family style) (and of course the waiter Never mentioned that rice was not included. Another thing to mention is they no longer serve "cups/bowls" of soup. You have to order a family size portion (which according to their menu serves 4 to 6 people) and was about $16. Doesn't really make sense if you're a party of 2) This place just gave me a bad vibe (probably why it was 95% empty) seems like they're trying to be secretly deceptive and I'm not having that! There are so many other great Chinese places around. We left there and went to another one just a couple miles away and not only was the rice INCLUDED with our meal but you ALWAYS get FREE hot tea and FREE crispy wonton appetizer! Had a fabulous lunch here and would definitely return! The mushroom and tofu dish was outstanding! The hot and sour soup was a little spicier than I expected but it was delicious. Food was delicious with large portions. I admit that I was skeptical about this place because I saw no other Chinese (or Asian) people eating, even though the staff were Chinese. We came on Friday for lunch around 1:15pm. The restaurant had some patrons dining, but the room was not even half full. The food came out quickly, hot and freshly made. The shrimp walnut was crispy but not with too much of the mayonaise dressing. The braised tofu was slightly chewy on the outside skin and soft on the inside (this was my favorite) topped off dried scallop with Enoki mushrooms. The beef chow fun was the least special because it was fine but ordinary. We really enjoyed our food. We decided to order "family style" large entrees to share instead of the lunch special, which I would be curious to try. Service was great; the server boxed up our food to go. So this is the type of restaurant where you want a nice interior, very clean, quiet, good service but not necessarily the best Chinese food. This is perfect for a lot of people because it fits those checkboxes and the environment is very comfortable. So I came for lunch on a Saturday with my mom and just ordered from the A La Carte menu - fish fillet with black bean sauce, honey walnut shrimp and one other dish. The fish fillet with black bean sauce came out surprisingly fast. The fish was a little mushy and the dish had good flavor but not the best - 3 out of 5. The honey walnut shrimp was also just okay. I do like when the shrimp is freshly cooked so crispy and then covered with the mayonaissey sauce so you have a nice crunch to the shrimp and then the sweetness from the sauce. But this was not like that, just mayonaissy and no crunch. I also like when the walnuts are sweet and have some crispness to them as well but they weren't like that either. So it's okay, pretty similar to most normal places. 3/5 as well. I can't remember the third dish anymore but it also didn't stand out. Overall - come here when you come with people that are used to the more American style Chinese restaurants and you don't want to scare them with a loud restaurant, servers that don't speak good english, or dirty interiors. This place is very clean, has a very nice interior and is quiet and well maintained and the food is decent. I'll probably be coming back for the lunch specials that I see on the menu during the weekday. The prices seem right and the food is decent. read more

We did take out. Wor Wanon soup was terrible. I was looking for the broth. It was literally just water. It was completely clear. The chicken and other addins were good. But it was not soup. It was 7:30 PM when we stopped in here, because a few years ago, a friend told me about this restaurant, and I had forgotten about it, until I was up in Orange and we were hungry. We both ordered the Chow Fun, one with beef and the other with seafood. Surprisingly they both came out separately, so we both started eating the beef dish, disappointed they didn't both come out together. Neither dish had much tasted, and neither was seasoned very well. We called the server over, and he said "put soy sauce on." I said it's dry without much taste, again, he said "put soy sauce on." Then we asked him for salt & pepper, because it was very disappointing to taste, and I've had this dish so many times and it's always had lots of scallions in it, and has been very delicious, but not here. They did have duck on the menu, which I really love, and would probably go back and try. There are normally more then one chef in a Chinese kitchen, and we just got one that wasn't good at seasoning was my conclusion. Went to dinner tonight. 14 people two tables. Foods delicious Ordered lots of plates. Waiter forgot it tea had to ask for it. Ordered to soup we had to serve one of them. Than waiter finally arrived. End of meal totally screwed up our checks completely. Found out our table was suppose to be four checks turns out he only decided into three checks ana couldn't find the four credit card finally found the credit card America Express in his pocket. This is a place I wouldn't go back to. The next day I had leftovers and it was full of grease. If I wrote this review the same day I wouldn't have wrote that first line. The food was decent for Chinese food but it was on the expensive side. The portions was small for take out. The duck should be ordered in advance but we were lucky to get 1-2 a duck when I called the arrive was excellent and the person who answered the phone was super nice. The fish with veggies was bland but good for the rest of the family. The string beans with pork was okay not as much flavor as the sgv places. The filet beef with mushroom was good but the flavor was slightly bland. But better than the other dishes. The pea sprouts was the best for me with the duck. Just an expensive Chinese place that is full of grease. I gained two pound over night from eating here. It's something they put in their food I am sure. read more

This restaurant is under rating but people should try their food and they will be amazed how good their food and great service they will receive. We celebrated my mom's birthday at this restaurant. I found this restaurant just by browsing online, with no idea whether the food would be good or if the service would be okay. Before my mom's birthday, we tried their food first, and I was really surprised because everything we tasted was delicious. The manager, King, was very kind. Yesterday, when we celebrated my mom's birthday, as soon as the food started being served, all of our guests were amazed because everything was served hot and tasted amazing. From the Honey Walnut Shrimp, with its large shrimp, to the House Fried Rice, House Crispy Seafood Noodles, and Salt and Pepper Pork Chop -- the best pork chop I have ever tasted. The Egg Tofu with Mushrooms was incredibly delicious. The Beef with Basil Leaves was so tender. The Steamed Fish Fillet was also very delicious, not fishy at all, very light, and perfectly seasoned. Their Orange Chicken was crispy and had just the right sweetness. Their Peking Duck was another surprise. I am not usually a fan of duck, but when I tasted the skin, it was absolutely delicious -- it just melted in my mouth. Every dish I ordered for my mom's birthday was delicious. My guests had nothing to say except that everything was amazing. I was truly impressed with their service, especially King, their manager. He made sure we were very well taken care of. The waiters were very polite, kind, and always smiling. That is why my family said this will be the place we will keep coming back to for birthdays and even for our regular lunch or dinner. Firstly, plenty of parking, nice decor but cheap seats. And strangely empty for the peak of Sunday lunch time. And... we found out why. Half the items on the menu are "not available." No pork buns, no crispy pork... what the what? The server said: we haven't had that available for a long time... years! Years??? Dear oh dear. How about updating the menu rather than the ambiance? I'll pay for good food in a lackluster location any day! Fried rice was tasteless. It should have some flavor. It looked like fried rice. Roast duck was good. Kung pao chicken was good. Crispy noodles were ok. Har gao and shiu mai tasted ok. Siao long bao were meh. Basically not worth a second trip. DO NOT GO on Christmas Day. Called in the morning to see if we could get a reservation for 6 people at 6pm. Was told that they were not taking any more reservations. Okay. No worries. Said if we wanted to get on the waiting list, call back at 5pm and they'll put us on the waiting list. Called back at 5pm, was told it's a 30 minute wait. So got there at 5:26pm. Quite a bit of people in the lobby area trying to get seated as walk-in patrons. Wait time was up to 2 hours! Yikes. Thank goodness we had called ahead. We were seated 10 minutes later. However, it took almost 20 minutes for anyone to come just to ask for our drink order. We placed not only our drink order but also our dinner order all at the same time. Drinks came out 10 minutes later. Food however didn't start coming out until almost 40 minutes later. Our lobster dish didn't come out until we were already done eating everything else and we weren't even hungry anymore. Total wait time for food... close to 2 hours. Was told that they had to prioritize To Go orders over dine-in orders. They were wholly under staffed for Christmas Day and the backlash of angry people were CRAZY! We sat for almost 20 minutes to get someone to bring the check and while waiting, heard a customer rip onto the hostess because he ordered pick up for 7:30pm. Felt sorry for the staff there. But unfortunately Christmas is one of the busiest days of the year for a Chinese restaurant and they were unprepared for it. read more

We went on a Sunday around 12:30pm. It was the first time eating here. We were greeted right away, and the host was very cordial. The ambiance in the restaurant is top notch! They had very soothing music playing in the background too. We ordered egg flour soup and Mongolian beef, and Cashew Chicken and Chicken Lowmein. Every thing was delicious! I have gone here multiple times. I have eaten there and picked up take out and I have always enjoyed the food we get! We normally order orange chicken, house special fried rice, walnut shrimp, and the green beans. We have also done their lobster noodle special (pricey but worth it). The servers are attentive and kind. The food always comes out hot whether it's in the restaurant or to go. I think for their pricing, it's decent and affordable with a portion size that's easily shareable. The inside is pretty spacious. You can even do private parties with their minimum table option.
