I came here in the afternoon of a Friday and noticed that it was hidden in the corner of a plaza. I thought it was new due to the sign, but later learned that they have yet to replace the sign for an official one from the worker. Upon entry, you can tell that everything is spic and span, but also humbling due to the interior design. There was a small selection of food that was readily available, and my partner wanted the one that was already prepared. The worker at the front was very nice and courteous, as well as knowledgeable about her food options. She offered me a sample of the general tso chicken and advise that the flavoring and seasoning is similar to East China. I thought that was very neat to know. General Tso Chicken- 4/5 The chicken was very flavorful and had a little bit of some sweet-and-sour to it. I really enjoyed it and wished I wasn't too full to eat more but was only able to sample the one piece. Kung pao chicken - 4/5 take this with a grain of salt, but I personally did not get to try it since I was already very full by the time I purchased this for my partner. But my partner did say that it was pretty good. Chow mein - 4/5 nothing special about the chow mein. It wasn't that dry and it had a nice bounciness to it. read more

Food was just ok. Ordered Chow Mein, Orange Chicken and Broccoli Beef. I liked the texture of the chow mein the thick noodles but it lacked some flavor. Orange chicken was good, a little crunch but good flavor to the chicken. For the broccoli beef, the beef tender but tasted like cheap quality beef however the broccoli was perfectly cooked. Not many options at the hot bar to choose from for dishes, but tons of chicken options like orange chicken, spicy orange chicken, king pao chicken, general Tao chicken, so I was surprised there was that many options for chicken. So items was out around 5:30pm and didn't look fresh It was a fast food Chinese food I wanted to try and was hopeful but likely not returning. read more

Doordash order was an excellent experience. Combination fried rice was PACKED. Very delicious and a lot of protein. The sweet and sour chicken and Mongolian chicken were the highlight. I really feel that the price to portion ratio is a big hit. It never ended even after having seconds and third. Solid Chinese takeout establishment. They are much better than the previous place that was here - They still just have a banner advertising Soft Opening as their storefront sign (though this is long past soft opening) but they've upgraded their dining room, flooring, and the food is great. They pack the to-go boxes in its entirety and also make some entrees on demand if there are no more in the counter. Our go-to entrees are the General Tso's chicken, black pepper beef, and sweet and sour chicken. They also have many beverage options, utensils, and include a fortune cookie with every order. Was craving some nice and greasy takeout chinese food, so decided to check this place out as the usual place I go to wasn't open yet. Got the three item combo with just chow mein. It's a little different as I expected to just get food from the heating trays, but it's made to order and I could hear the cook in the back preparing the food on the wok. Took about 10 minutes for my food to be ready. Seems like they give you a smidge less food than other places, but it is still more than enough. Decent flavors on the food I got. Good selection to choose from also. If you're expecting authentic Chinese, this obviously isn't. However, if you want nice Chinese food that hits the spot, this place will do. I came around 12pm on a Sunday and I was the only customer. Not sure if it was empty because it was raining, but I hope that was the reason and they're usually not this dead. This place has had a while to work out the kinks and find its identity, and it's much better than the previous place that was here. It's a 1/2 take-out, 1/2 eat-in made-to-order restaurant. The menu has been dramatically expanded and now includes a good selection of seafood options. While some items are still available under the hot lamps for quick service, other (or maybe most) items will require a little time to prepare fresh. I brought our food home like I usually do, and found it quite delicious. The Orange Chicken was actually more meat than breading! The sauce wasn't overly sweet, but it wasn't spicy either. They do have a spicy version if you want that. The Kung Pao chicken was a good mix of chicken and veggies. If you order large items à la carte, you also get rice. One thing I appreciated was that the food wasn't so overstuffed in the containers that it exploded when you got home. The containers also weren't messy or leaking in the bag. Service was friendly, and she did a good job explaining everything. The menus on the wall are mostly handwritten, so I suggest reading the printed to-go menu. With the number of offerings, you get the feeling this is a full-service Chinese restaurant, not just quick takeout. After today's expeirence, we'll definately be back. read more

UPDATE: Return to modified order (based from owner feedback) and ordered another items. I recently saw reviews and signage (indicating soft opening ) of fastfood Chinese restaurant. Yummy China (lowercase) is located across a closed Kaiser building and the plaza looks very, very empty. There's a dozen other small businesses including an Italian and sushi restaurant. I'm on the fence trying but open to trying new places. The interior is old including the floor and dining area was clean. Luckily the service was fast and efficient--the ready cooked items were limited but as long as it's on the menu they will cook for you. The menu featured all the classic favorites like Chicken, Sweet and Sour Pork, Fried Rice, and Lo Mein. I ordered the Mapo Tofu to go and like to use this dish as my benchmark. The portion is good and price is reasonable. I can split up portions for lunch and dinner. The food is better (2nd time), though a bit on the greasy side, and mapo tofu should be spicier. The mapo sauce is not hot. It's not gourmet Chinese by any means, but it definitely satisfies the craving for something quick and comforting. I will come back. :) TIP: For mapo, you need to specify the level of spice. I asked for spicy and I can see diced chilies. Overall, this place is worth supporting and it's a solid choice if you're looking for no-frills, Chinese food on the go. read more

Loved the combo plates we ordered for dinner recently. Didn't even realize this place had opened so it was our first time. My daughter has already returned for lunch. Food was pretty fresh and tasty. Solid 3.5, but rounding up since they are new. We live super close to here so husband walked over the other night to get dinner, he ordered ahead online. He said they haven't made any improvements inside since taking over the last place, it looks run down and old. You can get bowls or combo plates from already made food sitting under heating lamps, or you can order fresh cooked food, which is what we did. They have a much larger menu for fresh food. Pork Potstickers - We hated these, they were made with a pillowy dough, almost like a soft empanada. The filling wasn't good. We each took one bite and threw them all away. Egg Fried Rice - Nice flavor, fluffy rice, huge portion. We have loads of leftovers. House Special Pan Fried Soft Noodles - Yeah, I know it said soft but I was really hoping they were actually pan fried. It was just chow mein like Panda Express, but had better flavor. Again, a huge portion. I wouldn't bother with the "house" again and would stick to veggie only. The meat was all bland, the shrimp had zero flavor. Honey Chicken - This was some of the crispiest Chinese fried chicken I have ever had, flavor was mild, not too sweet. I could tell the quality of the chicken was cheap, but didn't get any weird pieces, so that was good. It was actually GREAT cold the next day! Szechuan Garlic Beef - This was our favorite item, it was super saucy, had a nice kick, and the meat was good. We have so many leftovers I doubt we will even get through them. They also gave us two boxes of white rice for free. Is it our new favorite Chinese place? No, but it's close to home, about 25% cheaper than the place we usually order from, and portions are large. I'm sure we will try them again next time we want something quick. read more

Found my new favorite Chinese fast food spot! The wife was looking for a Chinese take out spot but didn't want Panda Express. Back where she lived, there was a little hole in the wall spot, but unfortunately, it has gone downhill in the past couple of years. I went on Yelp to find the best and closest Chinese takeout spot and this one came up with not too many reviews but good reviews so far, I figured I'd give it a try. I'm so glad I did! I went with the three item combo, which was about $14 at the time of review. They have some items already in metal trays, but mentioned that if there was something I wanted that wasn't put out, they could cook it up on the spot. That's awesome to know! Along with the items that are already pre-cooked on the trays, they have an à la carte menu that you can order from. The second time I came here, I tried one of their spicy fried chicken entrées. They gave a generous portion in the flavors were on point the noodles and rice all tasted great, and the entrée items were equally as good the beef and broccoli had a nice firm crisp to the broccoli and the beef was nice and tender. The orange chicken was much better than Panda Express. It actually tasted like there was more chicken than breading. All in all, I'm really glad I found this place because I've already been here twice in one week. I'll probably be coming back again sometime soon! read more

Came here for lunch and got the two item combo. I got the orange chicken and spicy orange chicken. it was really good and the chicken have a good crunch to it which I love. The service here is very good and the place was clean , nothing too fancy. It's walk up and order or they take phone orders and online orders. They also have tables and chairs , seat yourself. I called in an order to go and it was very close to where I was. I ordered egg foo young with veggies. The pancake was good and the vegetables were crisp and cook well. It was the sauce I was not found of. I have experienced a more savory sauce like a brown gravy and this tasted like sweet teriyaki. We also ordered Kung Pao chicken which normally has heat to it had none , and broccoli beef all had the same sauce, sweet , and I got the wonton soup, again everything cooked well except the wontons were over cooked but even the broth which was brownish tasted sweet again like teriyaki sauce ! I don't know if I'll try again. Portions are big. Maybe I'll do walk in next time and not à la carte. Hopefully it won't get all taste the same. read more

First time here since new owners. Yummy China is a winner! Started off small and tried the Wonton Soup, it was such a generous portion and included beef, chicken, and shrimp. Would definitely order again. Shrimp Fried Rice (family style). Delicious flavor, rice was moist and deep in color! I don't order rice often, but this was a treat worth the splurge. My husband got a 3 item combo, with half and half Fried Rice/Chow Mein, General Tso Chicken, Broccoli Beef, and Orange Chicken. He ate all of his General Tso's, and commented that he loved the Chow Mein. Noodles were fresh, not greasy. Inside observation. Seating is set up same as old business, with small but important changes. It's clean. No sticky corners, chairs and tables have been properly cleaned top to bottom. All visible areas look very nice. I've been lamenting for awhile, not being able to find the kinds of fast-food Chinese takeout places that we used to have around ALL OVER the place. Relatively inexpensive, with quick combo-meals from a steam table, with heaps of food. Not high-end, nor especially authentic, and probably not overly healthy. Just simple, yummy, filling food for an easy dinner or lunch. I found it. I'm rating this on the expectation I had. It's exactly what I was looking for. I just tried it for the first time. It was certainly more affordable than most places nowadays ($11.75 for a two-item combo), with TONS of food (Neither my roommate nor I could finish all of our dinners, and we have decent appetites). We decided that it's a keeper, and since it's right on the way home from work, it's probably going to be a treat to get when I just don't want to go home and cook. You can also get things to order from a fairly large menu, but I just craved that combo meal, so that's all I can speak about. There's no ambience to speak of, but it's clean. The service was fast, at least those combo plates were. I went rather late (after 7 PM) so they didn't have a big variety at the steam table, but there was a sign that said you can order the items they would normally have available for the combo meals and they'd make it for you (or something like that). Just like those old places I used to go to, you can get fried rice (I think I read you can get steamed rice instead), fried noodles or half of each. Had gone to Far East Garden many times over the past 5 years. Today I decided I wanted their Orange Chicken which was unique and awesome and saw the new banner over the old sign telling me it was a new restaurant....so I go in and yeah, it seems just like Far East Garden and I get the Orange Chicken and chow mein...took it back to work and found the chicken to be overcooked and crispy but not in the good crispy way and the chow mein was just meh.... Now I will give them the benefit of a doubt here because I went there at around 1:30pm, after the lunch rush hour and that could be the reason as the food may have been sitting around in the warming trays a while but still, first impressions not great with the exception of the two cute girls working behind the counter. They were friendly, too... I will give this 3 stars and will try it again at some other point and if I have to revise the stars up (or down) I will do so. read more
