The food is delicious! It has more flavor than most restaurants for every dish I've tried over the past couple years. Unfortunately they took away the excellent menu with the $15ish bowls. That was the best value around, the right amount of food, and encouraged having a beer with the meal. We were there for lunch. The menu is dinner oriented. There is no in between portions or prices anymore. I took home half of the (excellent) Japanese Poke salad. Side note, I've never seen that much ginger on a plate! I hope it has some health benefit cause I ate plenty of it. I was previously 5 stars for Pacific Catch - vibe, decor, staff, food all great in a crowded and expensive eating out market these days. We visited on a Friday night without a reservation. The restaurant was half empty, yet we were seated at a table right next to the kitchen door. The constant swinging and noise from the kitchen was a distraction throughout the entire meal, which was disappointing given how many empty tables were available elsewhere in the dining room. My party has a nut allergy, so we asked our waiter to check the menu for nuts. He said he would look into it, then never returned. After he was nowhere to be found for a follow up, we had to ask a second staff member. She admitted she was not sure and would check. When she returned, she again said there were no nuts at all in their kitchen, at which point I pointed out that macadamia nuts were listed on one of the dishes. She corrected herself and said nuts do appear in two or three items. I appreciated her willingness to double check, but the fact that two staff members in a row could not confidently answer a basic allergy question is concerning. I would strongly encourage management to provide thorough allergy training to all waitstaff so guests with food allergies can trust the answers they receive the first time. Service was slow in other ways as well. Our waiter did not check in on us until roughly fifteen minutes after our food arrived. When the bill came, we asked for a few more minutes, and he did not return. We ended up having to flag down another staff member to close out. Given current dining prices, service is what makes or breaks the experience. Unfortunately, ours fell short on several fronts, and we will not be returning. read more

Pacific Catch has such cute decor when you first walk in! Our family tried a little bit of everything including the salmon chowder, guac poke, ceviche, sticky ribs, and shrimp and fish tacos. Our favorite was definitely the tacos! Both the shrimp and fish tacos were really good and something we'd order again. We enjoyed trying everything, although the sticky ribs were probably my least favorite. Overall, we had a good experience and would definitely come back. This is a nice restaurant that specializes in fish. The selection of fish dishes was very good with a number of plates I would have wanted to try. And I thought the selection of side dishes looked good as well. I had the Sea Bass. I choose the Korean fried rice with egg and the grilled zucchini as sides. The good: the cut of fish was generous and it tasted pretty fresh. The fried rice was not quite "Korean" but still very tasty and the egg was great. I liked the grilled zucchini that was cooked well. The decor is very attractive and service was very good. The not as good: even though there was no mention of cilantro in any of the ingredients, I specifically asked for no cilantro anyway, anticipating that there might be some cilantro -- which I hate. The plate still came with cilantro! Even though cilantro is not mentioned in the menu and even though I asked for no cilantro! Also, the fish was a tad overcooked. Finally, the sauce on the zucchini was a bit too much. And, unfortunately, because it was served together, the overpowering sauce on the zucchini was on the Sea Bass. I really wish chefs would trust their food a little more and not put so much sauce on stuff. I recommend you ask for all the sauce on the side so you can add to your own taste. read more

As a first time customer, I was very happy with my visit. Parking was a breeze. Lots of parking in The Marketplace. I came with my husband and we ordered the ceviche mixto. So good and the citrus flavors really made the difference. I would've sipped the bowl clean. For our entrees I got the barramundi sea bass with Mexican zucchini and chile lime fries. It came with lemon and a chimichurri sauce. It was amazing! My husband got the short ribs and steak with brussel sprouts, rice, and a fried egg on top with cucumbers on the side. That dish was also delicious and flavorful. Service was great! Not pictured is the POG juice which was made in house and the coconut margarita. Pacific Catch did not disappoint! We landed one of the coveted outdoor dining tables for lunch, and the whole afternoon had the perfect Aloha Friday vibe. We started with a pitcher of Mai Tais, which were definitely a little boozy in the best way -- and somehow lasted the entire length of our casual two-hour lunch. Our server, Erin, was extraordinary. Friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience feel easy and relaxed. My table guest and I split everything, which was the perfect call. The guaca-poke was so yummy and a great start. Then we shared the two-taco platter with sea bass and steak, plus a side house salad. Full flavor, fresh, and the perfect size to split without feeling too heavy. And because we clearly make excellent lunch decisions, we finished with a one of a kind dulce leche spring roll . Worth it. Will I come back? Yup. All the food was delicious! For a Sunday evening, we were seated right away upon entering. The interior is lovely, think boho style with lots of plants, high ceilings, and plenty of natural light. I was pleasantly surprised to see they offer happy hour on weekends. We arrived just in time and ordered mostly from the HH menu. My favorite was the original poke, which was served with seaweed salad, radish, and edamame. The Serrano poke wasn't very spicy and lacked flavor, but adding soy sauce made it much better. Both the cod and shrimp tacos were delicious. I also had the Mai Tai cocktail, which was very strong. We ended dinner with the butter cake topped with vanilla ice cream. I came here with friends on a nice hot and sunny day to enjoy the aloha hour. As we sat down, I kept feeling heat coming from somewhere. I eventually figured out that the heat lamps were on. I had to ask the staff 3 times to turn it off before it was finally off. Honestly, I'm not sure why the heat lamps were on in the summer to begin with. We ordered the Brussels sprouts, shrimp tempura roll, fish taco and sticky ribs. The fish taco was substantial but was mostly batter and it came with a side of chips. My friend enjoyed the shrimp tempura roll. The Brussels sprouts and ribs were a pleasant surprise. The ribs were more tender than I expected. The best dish of the evening in my opinion was the ribs. I went for their Aloha Hour, which is their version of happy hour, and prices were great given the portion size of the shareable dishes. My favorites were the original ahi poke and the serrano poke. This place offers a solid happy hour (aloha hour) menu, and it's actually worth the price. I love that it's also dog friendly. They even offered our dog treats. Last night we celebrated my wife's birthday at Pacific Catch. It was our first visit to this restaurant. We were not disappointed. The restaurant is nicely furnished and has a tropical atmosphere that's very attractive. Our server, Ava, was very nice and friendly. She explained several items on the menu and recommended a few that she personally enjoyed. We started with the crab cakes which were delicious. My wife has the sea bass with purple potatoes and a salad. She enjoyed everything on her plate. I had the shrimp scampi with rice and zucchini. Usually when you get rice and zucchini it's pretty boring. The rice was delicious. It had pumpkin seeds in it and very good seasonings. The zucchini was grilled and the sliced with a white sauce drizzled on top of it. They both were outstanding. (So was the shrimp) Finally we had dessert. She chose the lava cake with a banana caramel gelato. It was the perfect ending to a great meal. We were also assisted by Freddy, who brought several items to our table and was also very friendly and nice. We are definitely looking forward to visiting this restaurant again. read more

This place has great affordable seafood! Great choice if you're going with a group that wants variety as they have American, Asian, and Mexican flare to their dishes. The portions are also on the bigger side for a seafood restaurant which was a nice surprise. Large drink menu, and the mixed drinks were on the stronger side. I met a friend for lunch. Always a nice atmosphere. The waiter was very nice. They have changed the Ahi Poke shareable, which was a bummer. I confirmed I ordered the one with wonton chips, but it came without the wontons. They changed it recently to be served on top of pickled cucumbers and seaweed salad mix. I got some rice to go with it (add'l charge). I do come here a lot, and we love the original ahi with wontons. This was a big detractor for us. Similar to another recent poster, I also received my dish with the cilantro sauce, however I ordered without the cilantro sauce. They did bring me a replacement, but I was already bummed about the poke. Sidenote: they updated menu format, so it's wasn't clear, to me and the waiter, which items are shareable (applies for reward members) Unfortunately I probably won't be coming back much until they bring the wonton chips back. read more

Fish & Chips - I enjoyed every bite of the fresh fish, also cooked perfectly. Crunchy outer layer and melt-in-your-mouth fish inside. So good! Fries were crispy and standard. I liked the Cole slaw which has a hint of Hawaiian style poke flavor. Miso soup - I didn't get to try it, but my kid liked it. We came tonight at 5:45pm to try their happy hour items (ends at 6pm) which offered a decent discount off their regular menu prices. The place was relatively empty and we were seated immediately even though one member of our party will be late. Our server was friendly and brought out waters and menus. We purposely waited til right before 6 to order as we were still waiting for one person. We got the Pupu platter, Poke & Ceviche trio, Thai Brussels and Chili Lime Fries. Almost everything in the Pupu platter and Poke Ceviche trio was way too salty. Some of it was difficult to eat...especially the cucumber salad. We also asked for extra wonton chips because we needed more for the ultra salty items (they charged $1 extra but didn't tell us when we asked for a few extra chips to help eat up the salty poke and ceviche). There was also one fly that kept coming around that seemed to make the Pupu platter more aptly named. With that said, the Coconut shrimp was decent and the sea bass skewers were tender. The guacamole, poke, ribs, etc were all super salty. I enjoyed the flavor of the Thai Brussels, but not sure why they named it Thai...since it had no resemblance to Thai food. I wish it was more crispy as they were somewhat soft. The Chili Lime Fries was probably the best thing we had. We requested it to be extra crispy as I do not like soggy fries, and they delivered. Visited here during Father's Day. The service and staff were all really nice For a fast casual restaurant, it really wasn't all that bad. Everything we had, though, seemed to have a "day old "quality to it The tuna on the poke bowl had a bit of a slime/stickiness to it.. instead of a sharp fresh quality. The crudo.. same thing. Also. It was covered in a mango sauce.. you couldn't even make out the slices of fish .. so you couldn't appreciate the texture through the thickish sauce The mixed platter had an unappetizing coleslaw that seemed well past its prime. The sweet potato fries and dipping sauce were the highlight of the tray. The batter on the fried fish was still undercooked, so it was wet and gooey underneath and just fell off the fish. The calamari was overcooked. The crabcake, though, had the best flavor and was the second best thing on the tray If I'm in the area,, I might give it another shot. But prolly not. This was our first time trying Pacific Catch. The restaurant is clean and has a pleasant atmosphere. The service here is awesome! I had accidentally dropped my smart ring into the sink while I was washing my hands and panicked! It's already awkward enough to ask for help, but Briana came to the rescue and went above and beyond to help retrieve it!! Thank you so much, Briana! You're a life saver! If it wasn't one thing, it also was another: one of our dishes slipped and broke all over the floor. Briana handled it so graciously and the team was quick to help clean up and replace our dish. Good food, fun vibe, decent service! This one's a bit tough for me. We were looking for a new place to try on a random Thursday night and settled on seafood. Came across Pacific Catch and their menu really caught our attention. We came in a little over an hour before closing and waited a few minutes at the host stand before anyone came up to seat us. We were seated on the patio which is a really nice spot with heaters and glass barriers to keep it comfortable on chilly nights. Started off with the sticky ribs and steamed edamame. The ribs were delicious and most of them were cooked perfectly, fall-off-the-bone. A couple however were very tough and a bit chewy. The edamame was perfect, could use a bit more salt tossed on the lower ones. My fiancé got the Jale-piña cocktail which was so good and had a nice kick. I got the tiki old fashioned that was perfect. For entrees she got the salmon with Asian herb chimichurri, thai brussels, and grilled asparagus. The chimichurri was seriously the best, I'm getting that next time! She added a lobster tail also, it was okay. I got the Barramundi Sea Bass with a macadamia crust and coconut-tahini sauce. The fish was a bit dry and really needed the sauce, but they were great together. I also added a skirt steak which was cooked a perfect medium rare. All the veggies tasted good and were cooked just right. My only complaint was the service. Though our server was very nice, we only saw her maybe 3-4 times in the entire hour+ we were there. I never had a chance to get a refill on my soda, or order another drink. Our starters sat on the table finished and stacked cleanly for 20 minutes. The server had come by to take our main order and said she would get them cleaned up but then they just sat there until just before our food came out. I'm normally not one to complain about this but the restaurant only had maybe 5-6 tables with people at them, and at least 2 servers on the patio for only 3 parties. I'll definitely be back though to try more of their menu! It's a great date night spot that won't break the bank but which doesn't feel cheap either. read more

The service was okay overall we had a bartender was taking tables and still working the bar. more towards the restaurant they need better staffing but the server him self was great. Only thing at my 3 star is not till i paid was the check and maybe my fault but had a crying kid and was in a rush. Great welcoming staff and our server Benny was just the best. Warm and friendly from the beginning, he had that personal touch that just made all the difference. Had the opportunity to check out Pacific Catch for the first time and absolutely loved it! I always saw their location in Campbell, San Jose and know they partner with Monterey Bay Aquarium for ethically sourced food. With their modern aesthetic and seafood options, it makes you feel like you are transported to a coastal beach. We started off with their Guac Poke which was the perfect appetizer, the right amount of poke with the guac and chips. Definitely a must! For my entree, I had to go with their classic fish and chips which were decent. Enjoyed their cole slaw a lot, it doesn't taste like your average coleslaw, it has sesame in it! My girlfriend got their miso salmon which was amazing. The furikake on the rice was the perfect touch and the green beans also surprised me with miso flavor which I liked a lot. Our waitress Sianna was amazing! She gave us so many recommendations and told us her favorites. It was so hard to make a decision for food but she guided us in the right way. I keep hoping to find a good seafood restaurant in the area, but Pacific Catch can't be counted on. I had dinner there last week, and it was quite enjoyable. Last night, however, was a disappointment again. The summer sea bass encrusted with macadamia nuts was way overcooked to the point where I couldn't even cut it with a fork! The crust was leather tough and dry. The macadamia nuts were more like dust than crunch, and the portion was children' size. The sides were just ok but with no other choices available for that particular dish. Though the place is a bit too loud, I'll probably go back for the ambience; its decor is inviting, and there are other menu items to try. I'm sometimes hesitant to order salmon at "new-to me" restaurants as it's so often "same - ol'- same- ol"... But here at Pacific Catch the Western Salmon dish was super flavorful & healthy!!! Love the food, but the cocktails are inconsistent. One of my friends ordered a watermelon margarita and it looked so good I ordered one too. Mine came out lighter in color and taste. Seemed water-down. The food on the other hand turned out delicious all around. I got the West Coast salmon bowl with roasted cauliflower, wild rice, quinoa, cucumbers, avocado and a radish salad. It came with a cilantro dressing that was the perfect sauce to blend everything together. It was so good and hearty. I had half leftover for the next day but I took a few more bites when I got home. Given only 1 bartender, one can understand why service would be slower; however, Sarah confidently addressed/solved concerns of those wanting to take advantage of their Aloha Hour during my recent visits. My Grilled Salmon bowl ($23.95) was generous in size, attractive in presentation, and tasty; hubby wasn't too impressed with his order of Grilled Chicken bowl ($21.95).
