We really enjoyed Kinaree! The food, service, and ambience were all great. We ordered the Mama Creamy Tom Yum Hot Pot, fried chicken Benedict, smoked salmon Benedict, and a strawberry matcha. Everything was delicious, but the hot pot was definitely a standout. It was incredibly flavorful, creamy, and packed with so much flavor. We really, really enjoyed it! Had brunch at Kinaree here during the week for the first time. I wanted to try this place because it always gets crowded every weekend. Also, I never had Thai brunch style before, so I was curious to try it. We had Thai iced tea. It was good, but it was a little burnt tasting and strong. When we arrived, it was half empty, but by the time we ordered our food, it was packed. The menu had so many things to choose from. We had the crème brulee scroffle and smoked salmon Benedict. The potato hash was amazing and the spice on top was really good. I noticed the scroffle was wrong, but I didn't want to complain because the service was already very bad. We got regular scroffle with strawberry. There was only one server running the whole restaurant. She only came to our table twice after we received our food. She did see that we received the wrong order and apologized, saying sorry that we didn't receive the right order. But when we paid, she never adjusted the receipt. We ended up paying more for the original item we ordered, even though we never received it. I guess after this incident, we won't be back again. Brunch and Thai options, this place is great! I tried the holy basil chicken omelette and it was huge. It must have came with 4 eggs and about one pound of ground chicken. A nice side salad and half a French toast round off the plate. I was so hungry I ate it all! We also tried the crying tiger and it was medium well and also very tasty. Looking over the menu and trying to decide what to order while having only one empty stomach per body.. it almost seems unfair. Even the drink menu was incredibly hard to land on just one drink. This is a well done Asian American fusion eatery, regardless of your lifestyle or diet. The location is prime, so many other delicious looking restaurants all around even if you don't make it in somehow. If you're a cake person, definitely definitely don't short yourself and try their very fluffy, super jiggly soufflé pancake. It's not quite a flapjack and not yet a cake but the makings of everything you'd want in a breakfast dessert with cream that melts even the coldest hearts. The strawberry compote, made with real strawberries, was so yummy and colorful! Everything here was bright and colorful including the coconut yuzu drink. The curry came highly recommended and it not only did not disappoint, instead succeeded what I had in mind. Also- if you are a fried chicken and waffle fan, this is a must try. I was both full and envious of the table in my view of vision who got theirs after having stuffed my face full of amazing eats. Service was great and the staff, as well as the customers, all looked like Irvine's finest, brightest and uncontentious attitudes. Came here for our family's brunch. First time here and I wanted a good breakfast.....jokes on me. We were seated pretty quick for having a large party. They have a couple of TV's inside that were showing the World Cup. Looked over the menu and I decided on the meat lovers omelette. The food came out in waves.....mine came out first. I was gonna wait til everyone got their food, it was clear the second wave gonna be awhile. About 20 mins later the second wave of dishes came out - but we were still missing 3 others. The pancakes, chicken and waffles and the soft shell crab noodle thing. It was about another 12 mins before those came out. By the time the third wave came out, I was already done with eating. Now for my "meat lovers omelette" : 1/5 it was just a bunch of ham thrown into an omelette. No other meat was in there that I can tell. The salad was kinda odd to have as part of a breakfast dish. The French toast was dry and there was no syrup or anything for it. The best part of the dish was the breakfast potato's. That omelette was REALLY disappointing. My nephews chicken and waffles was the last dish to be served - the chicken was over cooked and dry. The waffle was like a cardboard. The 2 noodle dishes that were ordered were the best dishes at our table. Definately skip the American brunch dishes and order something Thai from the menu. It did take them a bit to take our order but at least we got to wait inside and comfortably seated. The restaurant was a little cramped but they are really trying to use up that square footage. They even have diners seating outdoors to maximize business. There was one TV in the corner that was playing one of the world cup games that morning. When they finally came to take our order, we decided to share the Shrimp Donut ($19). My entrees, my boyfriend decided on the Meat Lovers Omelette ($22) and I had the Kinaree Chicken Waffle ($25). I also ordered their Thai Iced Tea ($6). The shrimp donut came out after our entrees even though it's a started. It just tastes like fish paste they shaped and deep fried. The one on their menu was so pretty but the ones that came out to us were more like lumps than donut shaped. The taste was so-so. I wouldn't order this again. My boyfriend's meat lovers omelette was the best dish at our table from a portion and taste perspective. It had bacon, pork sausage, ham, sharp cheddar cheese, spinach and onion in the omelette. And each omelette is served with half a slice of French toast, breakfast potatoes, and salad. Very well rounded meal. Highly recommended. I don't like the French toast, could have been better soaked but the rest of the components on this plate was really strong and tasty. My Kinaree chicken waffle was less exciting. The fried chicken was really dried. Instead of one large chicken piece like other places who do this dish, they use scrap dries parts of the chicken and the batter is tough and hard. I was picking off the edges and trying to eat the edible parts. The waffle was like any old waffle. The two items tasted like two different dishes and it even came with 2 sauces. One for the waffle and one for the chicken. I ate about half of this, not because I was full, but because I didn't want to eat any more of it. We had to waive down staff for the check. They offered us boxes and I was like no thanks. This was a really expensive meal for me to leave so unsatisfied. You're paying for the cute decor, but when I go to brunch I want to eat tasty food too. read more

Upon arriving for brunch around 11am on Sunday, there was a short 15min wait for table of 4. There were so many options for brunch and lunch Thai inspired dishes. It was tough to pick just a select few at the table! There were standard breakfast options with a twist, I ended up getting the rib-eye benedict, but subbed out English muffin for French toast! The rib eye was sliced and seemed very similar to the crying tiger dish that was also ordered at the table. Steak was seasoned well and tender to bite. The plate had a lot of food, including a basket of breakfast potatoes and side salad. I enjoyed the side salad adding a freshness to the dish! Most of the menu is on the pricier side, but well worth the what you're ordering with the portions! We also ordered the shrimp donut for the table, which highly resembles the fried shrimp balls at dimsum. There was an interesting sweet sauce that came with this, but could have used some freshness. I was also too full from my dish to eat much of this heavier dish! Service was prompt, as there were several workers around the small restaurant. However, the dishes for our table each came out one by one, seemingly the fried dishes were significantly slower. The last dish to come out - fried chicken benedict - was missing the poached eggs on top! A server quickly brought out some eggs+sauce upon notifying. The service is very disappointing too, it makes you feel like they don't really want to accomodate you and we came around 2:30pm so it's not busy. I've read a couple of reviews about their poor service and I must say, it's true. For me, even if the food is just average but the service is exceptional I would definitely comeback but for this place, the food is just average and the service is bad as well so I am not coming back- there are a lot of other restaurants that are more affordable and they have a great service. read more

Lunch was full of flavor but well caution it is on the drier side such as pork belly had lots of flavor but was very crispy which is the same for the muffin of the Benedict. Will highly recommend the Songkran Festival Martini was so yummy but will cost you $24. Price range for food was from $20-$30 Breakfast: this is where I was a bit disappointment when compared to lunch because the Soufflé Pancakes did not have as much flavor and the Smoked Salmon Avocado Toast was overly toasted. The Egg on top was overhard so the runniness you'd typically get from the yolk didn't happen. Price ranged from $16-$24. The decor is very chick with flowers on the ceiling and a photoshoot wall. Was not loud and had ample seating for parties of 4-6. Service is average in that they get your order quickly and drinks but don't come often in between (especially if you need a refill on drinks) and you need to wave them down to check out. I was really excited to try this spot -- I love fusion restaurants and the idea of a Thai‑inspired brunch sounded so fun. Unfortunately, the dishes didn't deliver on the fusion concept. This has been on my list to try! We visited on a Sunday and the wait was quite long. We waited for about an hour. We saw that there was a party of 20 so I'm guessing that's why the wait was very long. The inside is not super big, but very cute and aesthetic. We wanted to family style our meal. The Khao Soi was so good. I'm obsessed with it. Very flavorful and deep. I love the crunch of the noodles, in addition to the noodles already in the soup. Chicken Waffle was also pretty good. Not dry! Holy Chili Bomb Basil Omelette was really good. I was surprised. I usually don't order omelette as but would definitely order this again. The basil was delicious and there was an Asian fusion to it. The soufflé pancakes were good too. They were soft and loved the cream and jam to go with it. Matcha was okay. I didn't taste the coconut as much as I would like. We had asked multiple times to get small bowls so that we could split the meal but they didn't get it to us until half way through our meal. This is a fairly new restaurant. The cuisine is Northern Thailand's and the Khai So is the best I've tasted since my visit to Chiang Mai. We were here at breakfast time and they also have classic dishes like avocado toast with bacon bits, chicken waffle. We also ordered the crispy soft shell crab. All were tasty and authentic. We had a very disappointing brunch experience at Kinaree today. The restaurant was busy around 11 a.m., but the service, food quality, and cleanliness were still unacceptable. We were a party of three and ordered the California omelette, garden omelette, and farmer's plate. After a long wait, a waitress delivered our food to another table, realized the mistake, picked the plates back up, and brought them directly to us. Even then, only two of our three meals arrived. The California omelette did not come out until about 15 minutes later. While we were eating, my sister found a long hair in her sunny-side-up eggs, and the silverware placed on her plate was visibly dirty. The farmer's plate was taken back, but the replacement took another 15 to 20 minutes. No clean utensils were provided with it. We asked a waiter for a fork, but he continued bussing and seating other tables while ignoring us. We also noticed that he did not appear to wash his hands after bussing tables. We eventually had to ask another waitress for silverware. Unfortunately, the food was not worth the wait. Both omelettes were runny and watery. The spinach tasted like frozen spinach that had simply been mixed in, and the avocado was far from being fresh. It was warm, tasted off, and appeared to have been scooped from a container. The side salads had an unpleasant, stale taste. The only item we found edible was the potatoes. My mom also felt sick and had an upset stomach after the meal. We all only ate a little of it and then decided to stop. Between the hair in the food, dirty silverware, mishandled plates, poor service, and flavorless food, we were extremely uncomfortable with the overall hygiene and quality. The bill was around $70, which felt like a complete rip-off for such a poor experience. We had heard good things about this restaurant, but unfortunately, nothing about our visit was memorable except how far below expectations it was. read more

Came here to have lunch with friends. Decided this location because it seems cute and the menu selections seems unique and avante guard with some Thai typical dishes. The staff is friendly and food comes out quick. We ordered their cocktails which are really yummy . The songkrang and the cucumber cocktail. For appetizers we shared the fried crab rolls and the shrimp donuts. Both are crisp, flavorful and fun to eat! For our mains we ordered the Thai bomb omelette, the fried fish egg Benedict and the northern Thai sausage plate with sticky rice. Food came out well decorated for the eyes and smells devine. I placed an online order and ordered the holy chili bomb basil omelette, which is essentially pad ka prao filling in the omelette. I am not big on omelettes, but I do love pad ka prao. The pad ka prao was a bit on the sweeter side. I like my pad ka prao more savory than sweet, but the flavor was good. I like that it is paired with some roasted potatoes. I am not too fond of the bread, which is like a French toast texture minus the sweet maple syrup and cinnamon. I wish I was served with a Thai chili fish sauce for the omelette. My order was ready within the time it promised me. It was packed with utensils and napkins when I went to pick it up. From what I saw while waiting, the restaurant is small but cute.
