I ordered Horchata because I was in the mood for something sweet and the drink tasted like water. I also ordered the popcorn chicken per the picture, but I feel like I got bait and switched i.e. the photo that was uploaded. It's definitely very Americanized and more of a fusion flare. This place is decent if it's overcast and you don't want to drive 20 min up the 405 or 5/22 to Little Saigon area. The broth is alittle watery but plus side, it's not salty. The brisket is super thin and tender, but not a lot of meat to noodle ratio. I was still pretty hungry and drank more broth for the protein. My friend ordered the pho combo. The menu pic is alittle misleading because it shows the rib bone add-on. It's a spacious interior and you can also eat in the communal patio outside. I've been wanting to find a place similar to Phoholic or Sup Noodle Bar, and I'm glad to say that they have exceeded my expectations. They are definitely more similar to Sup as they also have other dishes like fried rice or garlic noodles aside from pho. Even better when there's no wait compared to the long lines Sup sometimes has especially on weekends. Came with a friend on a Monday night around 6:30pm and it was only a bit busy so we were immediately seated. Staff were very attentive throughout and made sure we were doing good throughout our meal. I got the rib eye pho while my friend got the brisket pho, you can't really go wrong with either as they are both similar. We also got egg rolls to share as appetizer (there were two pieces so we each had one.) The egg rolls were hot and crispy. I really liked the filling that was in them. The sauce also paired well. The soup was very flavorful and had the right amount of saltiness. The rib eye was tender and portion was generous. I like how they offer free refills of the noodles, but I was only able to finish the bowl that was initially given, but it's definitely nice for those who want to eat a lot of noodles. We are frequent SUP noodles customers but Soup Shop was recommended to us by friends and family so we decided to check it out. On a Friday night, I knew it would get busy, especially the location near Irvine Spectrum. My daughter and I came by 5:15pm while the parking lot at Los Olivos was still not too crowded. We were seated right away. We ordered our usual Pho Combination and Pho Brisket. My daughter wanted to try their Cajun Garlic Fries. Their fries were good but garlic might be slightly burned and presented at the bottom instead of on top of the fries. The green sauce was very tasty and spicy at the same time. Their pho portions were huge and impressive with a very generous amount of meat. We ate the noodles and part of the meat but still had so much meat leftovers. I remember one of my family said they have free extra noodles, so I asked one of the wait staff. At the same time, I asked them to put in a TOGO container and as well as 2 TOGO soup containers. I'm glad we decided to take the leftover home as the leftover was enough for us to make another meal out of it. A few things I notice: 1. They have wider options than SUP, such as rice and garlic noodles. The table behind us ordered both rice and garlic noodle dishes and they looked delicious. We would like to try that next time. The rice and garlic noodle options will be great for families with kids. 2. They do not advertise free extra noodles per Pho like SUP. But, their extra noodle portion is double SUP. 3. SUP seems to have designated wait staff and are definitely a little more attentive. 4. Their meat portion is very generous and better value than SUP. Recently visited here for a catch up lunch with old partners and colleagues. Had their special pho with a rib bone. Meat was super tender. It's an extra cost for it but if you never experience it before, it's something you try once to get the full flavor of the beef meat on a bone. New pho location added to Irvine! Soup Shop is a next addition to the food fair available in Irvine. The soups were big and they have unlimited free noodle refills! Portions are large for reasonable price. The soup broth is nothing to write home about but it was good for such a convenient location and for the price. Service was super helpful but they do seem understaffed, with just two workers running the entire shop so expect your orders and help to come by very slowly. The interior was new and bright. The restaurant was clean and spacious. The menu had pictures of all the dishes available which made it easy to choose a dish. it was a very modern take on traditional Vietnamese dishes. I got the combination pho. I liked that they julienned the scallion onions which elevated the taste. The bowl came with a lot of meat. I ended up running out of pho noodles and had a ton of meat left. Overall, it did not disappoint and I would give it a 4/5. Don't forget to ask for the house sate sauce and sliced white onions in vinegar! read more

Parking can be quite challenging during lunch rush. Took 3 rounds and luckily snagged a spot nearby. Broth 5/5 Taste was perfect and has just the perfect amount of oil. Temperature of the broth was spot on. Rib bone pho 4/5 - I was surprised that I got 3 bones in my bowl. 2/3 bones were good.The one that wasn't good ending up turning into mini shredded beef pieces. The rice noodles could use some work. Not enough portions to fill up a standard bowl. I wouldn't want to ask for a refill either. Condiments station - is well stocked. Overall this place is Pho Certified. Prices are justified and environment is business casual. Ambience is definitely lively as Vietnamese pho places aren't usually loud. A new Soup Shop is now located in Irvine. This location takes over the previous Phans 55 in the Los Olivos shopping center. My husband and I popped in for a late lunch/early dinner and ordered the egg rolls and garlic noodles with shaken beef (cubed filet mignon). The service was on point as we were greeted right away and given menus. A few minutes later we were greeted by our server. We needed a few more minutes to decide but ordered shortly after. The food was prepared to order and the egg rolls arrived first, piping hot out of the fryer! I loved the jicama and taro in these egg rolls. I normally use carrot but this provided a great crunch and texture too. The entree came out soon after and we took a bite. My husband loved the sauce they had on the beef. The garlic noodles were good but could have been better. I've been making garlic noodles at home for over a year now and it just needed more garlic! The beef was super tender and flavorful with the vegetables. We ate it up and loved it. We decided we need to come back on another day for their pho.
