Great late night food option. Not a lot of food available late at night and we've been putting off going to this joint. Service was fast and the restaurant was nice and clean. I thought it was a really good bowl of pho and the rib inside was nice and tender. We liked the eggrolls and even ordered the filet mignon with garlic noodles. Both were above average and they also had a great drink selection.
Loved my first visit here! The veggie pho with vegan broth was so good! They offered a variety of veggies, too! Also tried a bite of the beef off the rib, it was soft, juicy, and tender! Definitely coming back to try other options. Can't believe haven't heard of this place until recently.
Wonderful restaurant with a nice and simple menu with large detailed pictures of each item. The food is delicious with solid portions. The oxtail pho was phenomenal, with the meat super soft and falling off the bone. The filet mignon garlic noodles were also packed with flavor. A modern and clean aesthetic with friendly and chill staff.
Once upon a time, this Faerie Queen needed some healthy, belly-filling pho. Glad we saw the "Soup Shop" sign! We had delicious steak pho- and the best part?- noodle refills! We will be back! The end.
Standard decent pho. The rib bone was a bit dry, galbitang rib bone is more tender. If you're used to 626 pho, this is not as good. Did have indoor and covered outdoor seating for my dog. Plenty of parking inside a large plaza
Food was delicious! I ordered a beef brisket pho and we got the filet mingon fries for the table. Both the both of pho and the fries filled us up well and I appreciated the quick service the servers had when accommodating our requests. The broth was really warm and the fries were perfectly crunchy. I would come back with friends and family to try! They have a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating.
Chicken Pho with lots of tender white chicken breast in savory broth is super delicious and added vegetables to the order We also ordered the fried chicken plate that was very yummy because it was crispy on the outside but juicy, flavorful deboned tender chicken on the inside, perfectly prepared. Service was terrific as well, Tay. Sat inside because it was warm day but we have sat outside before on the nice covered patio area. Very tasty food, generous portions, reasonably priced. Highly recommend this location in Irvine.
This place serves a solid bowl of pho. The broth had a nice depth of flavor, the noodles were pleasantly chewy, and the meat was cooked well. My only complaints about the pho itself are that I wish the soup had come out hotter, and there was a giant piece of tripe in my bowl that hadn't been cut down at all. It was awkward to eat and felt like something that should have been trimmed into smaller pieces before being served. Overall, it was still a satisfying bowl. That said, there were a few things that left me confused. I ordered the Pho Combination by pointing to the photo on the menu, which clearly showed a beef rib and was labeled as the combination pho. When my bowl arrived, there was no rib included. Maybe there was some misunderstanding, but it felt a bit misleading. I ended up ordering the rib on the side for an additional $6, and it didn't arrive until I was already halfway through my meal. Our waiter recommended the sautéed scallion corn, so we decided to give it a try. The dish was a bit confusing. When I think of a corn appetizer, I expect either a smaller portion or something that's meant to be shared alongside other dishes. Instead, it was just a large bowl of corn. Since the menu is mostly pho, noodles, and rice dishes, it didn't really feel like it paired naturally with anything we ordered. We basically ended up eating spoonfuls of corn between bites of our meal. The flavor was okay, but nothing memorable, and I think it could have been seasoned more aggressively. The Vietnamese coffee also wasn't my favorite as it had a slightly burnt taste. On the positive side, the restaurant was clean and the pho was satisfying. I was disappointed to learn they no longer offer unlimited noodles,l.
An amazing pho shop in Irvine with excellent quality and fantastic options. We tried the combination pho and the brisket pho. And I have to say if you love trying different kinds of meat, the combination pho is the way to go. Packed with flavor, you get brisket, meatball, ribeye, tripe, and tendon. We also had spicy mango habanero wings, and they were delicious. Deliciously spicy but nothing overpowering. Definitely recommend it as an appetizer. Will definitely be back for a late-night meal.
I want start off by saying this restaurant is number #12 for Yelp elites in the US for Pho. I was looking for a late night Pho run, however it was an interesting experience. I ordered Horchata because I was in the mood for something sweet and the drink tasted like water. I also ordered the popcorn chicken per the picture, but I feel like I got bait and switched i.e. the photo that was uploaded. It's definitely very Americanized and more of a fusion flare. I also feel like the server forgot we ordered popcorn chicken, so it came out after we finished eating our main order. The pho broth was a little bland, onions, and lime were excluded from the toppings + I would not go there again for the Pho. A few pros were the menu is very aesthetically pleasing it's almost like a picture book and there are big proportion sizes you can share among people!
The food is pretty good and consistent. The shake beef filet mignon hits each time and the noodles are not too garlicky. All the apps are good too. Glad to see Irvine finally having some more places that are actually open late since the city needs that. The employees and ambiance is really nice.
This place is decent if it's overcast and you don't want to drive 20 min up the 405 or 5/22 to Little Saigon area. The broth is alittle watery but plus side, it's not salty. The brisket is super thin and tender, but not a lot of meat to noodle ratio. I was still pretty hungry and drank more broth for the protein. My friend ordered the pho combo. The menu pic is alittle misleading because it shows the rib bone add-on. It's a spacious interior and you can also eat in the communal patio outside. The condiments are nicely nestled in wooden stands. I wasn't frustrated with my decision to save time and gas and stay in this area for lunch, but mildly regretted it.
If you're coming from a flight, soup shop is always so good. It has big portions, delicious soup, and of course delicious meat. The meat really is the star of the show, I think every time I take a bite out of it for the first time in a while I always get surprised how good it is and start nodding. Particular the Pho Rib Bones!! I highly recommend that one!! Soup is super flavourful too. Definitely one of my go to spots. The restaurant is spacious and clean. first time here and place is very nice. they have indoor and outdoor spaces and good thing is the store hours is until midnight. for foods: * pho combination: the broth is quite rich and flavorful. very generous for meats. basically, the pho is very comforting... * golden popcorn chicken: love it!!! the batter is not that thick and every cut is just perfect. taste is so good... prices are ok and will say this is a recommended vietnamese restaurant with great service... read more
Met up with friends here for a late night dinner and had a great time. This is definitely a more modern pho spot. We tried the pork bao, egg rolls, beef pho, shrimp pho, and the sautéed scallion corn which ended up being my favorite. Everything was tasted good and nicely presented. It's a bit pricier than your typical pho restaurant, but we really enjoyed the overall experience and would come back again when we're in the area. read more
I ate here three times in a week. The first two times were great, but the last one really made it my last trip. There were five of us, we all ordered pho. Unfortunately, I was the only one who asked for no onions in my pho. I was a bit suspicious when the other four got their pho before I did. When my pho came out, the broth was barely warm. I looked closer and saw a few bits of onions floating in my bowl. Yes, they spent five minutes fishing out the onions instead of making me a new bowl. The flavor of my broth was ruined and it wasn't even hot enough to soften the bean sprouts. I really wanted to like this place, but after they pulled this on me, it makes me wonder what else goes on in the kitchen. At $20 a bowl, I expected better service. Modern Vietnamese restaurant with a great selection and clear, easy to read menu. I rarely highlight a menu, but the pictures (full page high res) were provided for each dish, making our selection easy. The prices were on the higher side, as can be expected for the area (los olivos) and the presentation matched the pictures exactly. The Filet Mignon had a strange cigar smell/taste, but the Rib Bone Pho was exceptional. Stick with the rib eye, oxtail, or rib bone and can't go wrong with their garlic noodles or garlic fries. read more
I LOVE Soup Shop! As a content creator (@priyapinkypromise on TikTok) I am always looking for the next big thing in OC! Believe me, Soup Shop is it. Firstly, they have great hours! Open past Midnight in Irvine was unheard of, until now! Second, the beef broth is so flavorful and delicious, it's perfect for every bowl including the veggie pho! Third, the green thai tea.. that's all i'm gonna say (yummmm) Fourthly, they have free refill on noodles!! All in All Service is okay. I have been charged for extra food 2 times, I figure since it's so busy mistakes happen. They are usually prompt with fixing their upcharge. The parking is not great, it is in a packed parking lot. Can take 10 minutes to find a parking spot at times. Come prepared for this. Soup Shop in Irvine offers delicious pho and great operating hours- it's definitely worth a try! read more
Food was pretty good! Combo pho: 8.5/10 valid, Broth wasn't bad but not as rich as vn or others I've had. Big portion and good amount of meat! We switched out the meatball for brisket. $5 extra for one Beefy rib and it was surprisingly tender and actually did fall off the bone and was easy to eat! Unlike other places which deters us from getting the bone cause we don't like to gnaw and work for the meat lol. Garlic noodles and filet minon: 7.5/10 wasn't bad but we both liked the soup more. I will say tho they have good meat! Not chewy. I've had better at other places so idk if I would get this one again. Out of the dishes this one wasn't hot, the noodles were a little cold unfortunately. Popcorn chicken: 8/10 solid no complaints, chicken wasn't dry and it came hot and sides crispy. Jasmine tea sea salt cream: 7/10, I love jasmine but this one was perfumy filmy sweet.. I usual love this type of drink but it was too sweet, as someone who likes strong sweet drinks. Small little restaurant in the same plaza as Whole Foods and Burnt Crumbs. I love their menu. They offer pho, rice dishes, garlic noodles and some appetitizers. It was enough variety to satisfy everyone in our group. The service was quick but the wait can be long. You must be present and sign in on a traditional clip board. We got the ribeye pho and shaky beef. All the beef was tender and the broth was pretty clean/clear. They offer free noodle refills which is nice if you're super hungry. The restaurant has outdoor seating as well but limited heaters. Enjoy! read more
I've been wanting to find a place similar to Phoholic or Sup Noodle Bar, and I'm glad to say that they have exceeded my expectations. They are definitely more similar to Sup as they also have other dishes like fried rice or garlic noodles aside from pho. Even better when there's no wait compared to the long lines Sup sometimes has especially on weekends. Came with a friend on a Monday night around 6:30pm and it was only a bit busy so we were immediately seated. Staff were very attentive throughout and made sure we were doing good throughout our meal. I got the rib eye pho while my friend got the brisket pho, you can't really go wrong with either as they are both similar. We also got egg rolls to share as appetizer (there were two pieces so we each had one.) The egg rolls were hot and crispy. I really liked the filling that was in them. The sauce also paired well. The soup was very flavorful and had the right amount of saltiness. The rib eye was tender and portion was generous. I like how they offer free refills of the noodles, but I was only able to finish the bowl that was initially given, but it's definitely nice for those who want to eat a lot of noodles. Overall, Soup Shop is a very solid pho restaurant in the Irvine area! I definitely recommend trying and I will be back to possibly try their other dishes. read more
My colleague chose this location to have a lunch meeting and I'm glad he did! A clean restaurant with bright decor and a friendly and attentive staff. Not strictly speaking a Vietnamese restaurant but their main offering is Pho with a spattering of Asian staples like egg rolls, fried chicken pieces among others. There is more to their menu but didn't get a chance to explore. For appetizers we ordered: Egg rolls-2 of the crispiest egg rolls ever Fried chicken pieces: the batter surrounding the chicken some of the crispiest ever pieces ! And delicious! I ordered the combination Pho bowl (without the big bone) I found the broth a little understated and with less depth than other Vietnamese restaurants. The was meat tender and noodles were generous and said to be "refillable "...for us it was a lot of food! more than satisfied with the portion provided. There are other items on the menu that I didn't get a chance to explore, which I count as a plus...as it will give me motivation to come back! read more
I visited Soup Shop today for lunch and I was very happy with my combination Pho. The restaurant is new and it has a pretty cool vibe. The Staff were really nice and seemed to be very interested in making sure that we had a good meal and enjoyed our food and the experience, questioning the broth spicyness leves, etc. My favorite type of pho is barbecue pork which they didn't have so I probably would not come back, but I really did enjoy the flavors so we shall see! read more

If you're craving for something warm on a late cold night, this is the place to go. They are still open at 11pm when we came in and was greeted warmly by the staff. The interior was so chic, woodsy and modern. We ordered the Pork Bao which is fried bao with ground pork filling inside and quail egg and it was soo good. We also had Pho Combination and Pho Chicken Breast. Both had very good Pho soup that has very authentic and clean taste. The serving portions were very big too that a bowl can be shared for two. Overall a good place to go to after a late night shift or just curing a hangover with Pho! read more
A rainy day sounds like a good day for a hot bowl of soup! My family was out and about after Christmas, when we opted to have lunch at Soup Shop in Irvine. The hostess and wait staff were all very friendly and welcoming. This was a busy place today! The menu is beautiful, with large, full color photographs of all the menu items. The descriptions were also excellent. I ordered the Beef Pho Noodle Soup. The beef bone broth was delicious! The bowl was very generous in size, filled with noodles, vegetables and beef. I also ordered the delicious egg rolls as a starter. The meal and service were very good. This was a nice choice for a meal. read more
This is a nice new place in Irvine! Everything is clean, the staff is efficient, and the food comes out pretty quickly. We ordered the vegetarian pho and pho rib bones. Vegetarian Pho- This has a flavorful broth with perfectly chewy noodles. It is loaded with vegetables, tofu, and topped with crispy fried onions. Pho Rib Bones- Rich, savory broth and noodles cooked to perfection. However, the meat was tough. I struggled eating it and eventually needed to ask for scissors to cut it off the bone. I ended up not finishing it. Decent experience but improvements can be made. read more

This was such a great meal after a long day of traveling! Stopped by the Spectrum for some shopping and was gonna eat at a Vietnamese spot there, but couldn't get seated in a timely manner. Then saw the Soup Shop was across the way and open late, so immediately went there after we were done shopping. The restaurant has a bright interior, with simple but aesthetic decor. It's a fairly small on the inside, but there is also outdoor seating available. My husband and I shared the combination pho, which I got with an extra side of tripe, and the popcorn chicken as an appetizer. The popcorn chicken was crispy, flavorful, and juicy. And the combo pho gave us all the protein we needed to recover from our long day of traveling and exploring. The broth was seasoned perfectly, and eaten with extra lime cuz that's how I like it! All of our food was prepared pretty quickly, and we were served any attentive staff. Will keep this place bookmarked for next time! read more
Soup shop brings a modern twist and ambience to a delicious pho spot. The environment and ambience are fresh and promote a clean, chic restaurant. This food is absolute delicious! I got the pho (free unlimited noodle refills although I think this is location dependent), shaken beef, garlic noodles, passion fruit drink, and jasmine green tea. The pho was perfect. The broth was deeply flavored and no additions were needed. The shaken beef and garlic noodles are tremendous! If you love garlic noodles, give this a try itll give you a run for your money. We also got the shaken beef (filet mignong)to add additional protein (also yum). The jasmine green tea is good, but if you are a passion fruit lover the passion drink is where it is at! Seeds are included for the crunch you love! Overall awesome spot! The servers were also very nice and fast to act. Love it! I will say I went to another Soup Shop and extra noodles were not free like this one so be sure to ask. read more
We are frequent SUP noodles customers but Soup Shop was recommended to us by friends and family so we decided to check it out. On a Friday night, I knew it would get busy, especially the location near Irvine Spectrum. My daughter and I came by 5:15pm while the parking lot at Los Olivos was still not too crowded. We were seated right away. We ordered our usual Pho Combination and Pho Brisket. My daughter wanted to try their Cajun Garlic Fries. Their fries were good but garlic might be slightly burned and presented at the bottom instead of on top of the fries. The green sauce was very tasty and spicy at the same time. Their pho portions were huge and impressive with a very generous amount of meat. We ate the noodles and part of the meat but still had so much meat leftovers. I remember one of my family said they have free extra noodles, so I asked one of the wait staff. At the same time, I asked them to put in a TOGO container and as well as 2 TOGO soup containers. I'm glad we decided to take the leftover home as the leftover was enough for us to make another meal out of it. A few things I notice: 1. They have wider options than SUP, such as rice and garlic noodles. The table behind us ordered both rice and garlic noodle dishes and they looked delicious. We would like to try that next time. The rice and garlic noodle options will be great for families with kids. 2. They do not advertise free extra noodles per Pho like SUP. But, their extra noodle portion is double SUP. 3. SUP seems to have designated wait staff and are definitely a little more attentive. 4. Their meat portion is very generous and better value than SUP. Despite that, the place was crowded when dinner time hit. Service was quick too. We'll definitely like to come back and check out other dishes. read more
Recently visited here for a catch up lunch with old partners and colleagues. Had their special pho with a rib bone. Meat was super tender. It's an extra cost for it but if you never experience it before, it's something you try once to get the full flavor of the beef meat on a bone. Service is great as they were attentive to my request for extra tableware. One thing that I don't like about pho shops, and this goes for all, is the strong smell that it lingers on to your clothes. If a pho shop can solve this mystery, the world will be a better place. Overall decent to good food in a clean environment (aside from the aroma that follows for days). read more

Solid pho for Irvine. Parking can suck during peak hours (shares a plaza with Whole Foods and a bunch of other restaurants) - but be patient. Have tried the pho combination and pho brisket - both good sized bowls with a good portion of meat. There is an option to add a beef rib to your bowl! Soup is flavorful and the draw here is the unlimited noodles for sure! It's nice they recognize rice noodles are pretty cheap and it doesn't hurt them to offer free refills on it. Another huge plus? The open until 12AM daily, unless there's a holiday. read more

Checked out this newly opened Pho spot near the Irvine Spectrum center, it's near the same plaza as Whole Foods and Burnt Crumbs. Plenty of parking available on a weeknight, but it definitely gets busy here on weekends. This spot is a modern Viet fusion specializing in pho and shaken beef rice plates. Their menu is extensive and similar to SUP. Our pho was brought on soon after our order was taken. The noodles were a bit softer than wed like it. The noodles were better when we ordered an extra serving, they might have not accounted for the heat of the broth cooking the noodles further in the original serving. Soup Shop is always packed, and for good reason. It hasn't been open very long so everything inside feels fresh and new. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by the friendliest staff so you know you're going to have a great experience. On my recent visit, I ordered the roasted parmesan cauliflower, chicken pho, and a cold honey jasmine green tea. The cauliflower is absolutely amazing and a must try appetizer. Something in their sauce makes it so addicting. I get it every time because it pairs perfectly with the pho. The chicken pho is just as impressive. The broth is deeply flavorful and unlike any other pho I've had. They're very generous with the chicken, the portions are excellent and the noodles have a perfect texture. The drinks are great too and not overly sweet. Im so glad this place is close to me because it's quickly become a go-to spot. read more

I've been here a few times. The Soup Shop is located in the Whole Foods plaza by Irvine spectrum, and replaced Phans 55. The food is pretty standard, nothing spectacular. Price is reasonable. Inside the restaurant is clean and new. Service is attentive and friendly. I've tried the oxtail pho, ribeye pho, chicken pho and shaken beef and popcorn chicken. All of them were good. I especially liked the oxtail pho. I got it for take out and they didn't skim on the portion. I'm really happy for this nice addition to the variety of Asian food options in the area. read more

Always looking for good pho spots! I got the pho ribeye; the broth isn't as flavorful as some other places I've tried but still really good. The amount of protein given is a lot more for those looking to increase protein intake They give less bean sprouts but make up for it with the onions they top the pho off with! I was a little bummed to see they don't have the chili sauce but they have the standard hoisin, sriracha. Service was great, will definitely come back read more

I had no idea that Soup Shop had expanded past their two original Anaheim locations and now are in Irvine. Definitely needed to check it out! Ordered the Pho Combination with Rib Bone, because of course when a pho place offers a full rib bone you gotta take it. I've always had nothing short of excellent pho at the Anaheim Soup Shop locations, and such was the case here. Great noodles, fantastic broth, and excellent meat. Rib bone was especially top-notch, lots of meat and came off the bone easily. Service was fine. We had our orders taken and our pho bowls were out in less than five minutes. Nothing to complain about here! Overall, Soup Shop is a great addition to Los Olivos Marketplace, which has no shortage of great food options. Definitely measures up to the other locations! read more
