Their pho is 3/5 since the broth was not seasoned well and a bit bland. I ordered their side of pickled onions and it wasn't pickled enough more like raw onions, however, they do give a hefty size. BUT their Vietnamese coffee at this spot is 5/5!!!! Great pricing for $6 for its size which came in a huge large cup! When you can't get your ass all the way to garden grove or Westminster this is a solid spot to get your pho and Vietnamese cuisine fix. They also have the plate of basil, bean sprout, lemon/lime and jalapeño on the side. Everything together tasted amazing - I was very full. Next time, I'd like to try the take out deals. We were in the mood for Vietnamese food, and Pho Ba Co had some pretty good Yelp reviews, so I decided to check it out. Got there around 5pm, and it was nice and quiet since they weren't busy yet. We were hangry, so we jumped right into ordering: Grilled Value Platter Beef (4/5), Grilled Value Platter Pork Chop (4/5), and Rib & Tai Pho (3.9/5) The pho came out crazy fast, like 5 minutes, but the grilled beef and pork chop platters took about 15 minutes to arrive. The pho broth was super satisfying and flavorful, though the rib meat was a bit tough and stuck to the bone--otherwise, I might've rated it higher. The beef and pork chop platters were solid, well-cooked, and tasty, definitely earning their 4/5. The staff was awesome, always checking in to see if we needed anything, which made the meal even better. The restaurant was clean, and the restroom was spotless too. I usually order the Pho with rare beef, brisket, and fish ball, but today I decided to try the Pho with beef rib bone and rare beef -- it was outstanding!! I revisited this long standing and very successful Vietnamese restaurant in the center of Irvine surrounded by well established houses, big street mall, medical offices and urgent care clinics as well as numerous churches feeding steady stream of high paying customers and limitless established returnees who really love the traditional economic very tasty Phó noodles in the traditional angel hair rice noodles with clear and very delicious broth and generous fresh vegetables keep you enthralled every time you eat here. I love their generous portions but I am more impressed by how consistent their broth tastes. After twenty years of patronage not once did I have any bad taste or service that required attention. The men who work here are extremely well trained and attentive. They serve foods fast and asks for anything else each time they come by. Seating is immediate due their fast turnover of the customers.
