Place was very tiny with a low ceiling. Service was okay. Beef bone broth soup and donkatsu was average, nothing special. There was not a lot of side dishes either.

I love this authentic Korean spot in Irvine. They're known for their seollengtang, and for good reason. We ordered: * Seollengtang * Combo C (seollengtang + bulgogi) The broth is incredibly clean, rich, and comforting you can tell it's been simmered for a long time. Super delicious and deeply nourishing. Everything here is consistently good. I've had their cold noodles, which are super refreshing, and their dumplings, which are very solid as well. The banchan (side dishes) are simple but pack so much flavor, which I really appreciate. They also serve barley tea with the meal, which is a nice touch and great for digestion. The restaurant is very clean, the staff is super nice, and the ambience is cozy and welcoming. You can tell they truly know what they're doing here. If you're craving authentic Korean comfort food, this spot is a must-try. Definitely check them out!

Great Place! Nice environment, so scent of the food is amazing! The "Korean spicy soft tofu soup" was delicious! I really loved the taste of the tofu! I ordered a bunch of fish cake (It Tastes Outstanding) and the service was kind to give me more. Recommended to come to this place. Fine prices and service!

I won't be ordering from Seoul Haus any longer unfortunately. I ordered the donkatsu today and it came uncooked and incorrectly battered. Definitely inedible, a health risk and a safety issue. I got my refund through door dash so that was settled. When I called just to let them know their food was sent out uncooked, the lady working spoke to me like a child as if I was complaining. I called to just to let the restaurant know in case someone gets sick in the future. I asked her why she's being rude and she asked what I wanted from her when she didn't make the food. She could've represented this business better. There was no concern for health or safety. She acted like I was causing a problem by letting her know this information and was very dismissive.

Located in a small plaza with fairly easy parking to find during Saturday lunch. The interior is small, and when we went at lunchtime on Saturday, it was quite packed. Our group of 11 had to sit outside at two separate tables. We ordered the galbijim, katsu, and LA galbi. The food tasted a bit different from other Korean restaurants--less sweet overall.

got #1 the original oxtail soup and comes with rice. it's really good! i think $18 for a huge bowl is worth it and the sides were good too. it's a small shop in irvine that got popular through a tiktok so now it gets pretty crowded. the tiktok compared it to bcd but i think it's pretty different. bcd sells hot stone soup, but this one is more like noodle broth. it's more similar to tang n tang or yuk dae jang imo. its authentic and you can control the saltiness and flavor yourself by adding in salt and green onions. overall recommend if you're looking for a casual, warm, brothy meal.

I went to Seoul Haus with my husband yesterday (Tuesday evening) expecting a decent Korean meal. What we got instead was one of the most off-putting dining experiences we had in a long time. The food was already underwhelming- minimal side dishes and completely flavorless mains but that quickly became the least of our problems. My meal, Do Ga Ni Tang (ox tail cartilage bone broth) came out with multiple animal hairs stuck in it. Not one. MULTIPLE. (Refer to attached pictures) It was absolutely disgusting and unacceptable by any standard. When I pointed this out, the waitress acknowledged it in a disturbingly casual way, as if this was something normal. She offered to swap it for a Sullung Tang (Beef Bone Broth; lesser in price), but by then my appetite was gone. She then said she would remove it from the bill in a condescending tone, as if she was doing me a favor for something that should never have happened in the first place. It only got worse from there. The waitresses (both short haired ladies) stood behind the counter wall right next to our table, loudly gossiping about the situation. I'm Korean-American and am fluent in the language, let alone capable of understanding everything that was being discussed about my complaint; calling attention to it in the kitchen, and even inspecting others in their storage/freezer. Then one of them loudly remarked that it was "weird" only I had a problem, and implied that any "normal" customer would have just eaten it. Ugh, GROSS! At that point, we were done. Our check wasn't even brought to us in a timely manner, yet we still paid for what we ate (minus the contaminated soup), and my husband generously left a tip which is far more grace than this place deserved. Let's be clear: finding hair in your food is bad enough. Acting like it's normal, then mocking the customer within earshot, is inexcusable. There was no real apology, no professionalism, and no accountability. This place is unsanitary, unprofessional, and disrespectful. I will never return and would strongly advise others to stay away. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere that actually has quality food, respects basic hygiene, let alone has common sense in their customer service. To the owner: This is a serious failure on both kitchen standards and staff training. Do better.

I got their bugolki. It was pretty good. The meat was very juicy. I would say it's more like a burger patty, but with higher-quality beef. The portion was plenty for one person, with a little extra to share. I would say the meat is a tad greasy, though not too bad overall. It's not too sweet either, so I can eat it by itself. I'll definitely try this dish again. The inside was pretty casual with pretty fast service.

I really wanted to love this place but it just didn't impress me. The banchan selection was okay, I liked the fish cake but the kimchi was too soft and sour for my liking. The beef in the yuk gae jang was very chewy and I wish there were more vegetables. The texture of the knife cut noodles was very good though. The bulgoki tasted like a dry hamburger, i've never had a hamburger textured bulgoki before. The sulungtang was a good simple dish, the texture of the meat was soft and tender. I came on a Saturday night and was seated immediately but service was not very consistent. The cold noodles look good though, I would return in the summer to try it.

It's been so long since my last review so I wanted to do an update. Seoul Haus is known for their authentic Korean comfort food. I came here for lunch on the weekend and it wasn't very busy. It was perfect for that rainy day though because I got their popular oxtail Sul Lung Tang which came with your preferred noodles. I got the glass noodles which was perfect. It was delicious. I also got to try their Octopus Hot Pot which was rice in a stone hot pot with some very well seasoned and cooked baby octopus. It's a must get if you love octopus. We enjoyed all our food. The banchan that came out was also all good and delicious. Besides what we got they also have other types of stone pot dishes and other soups. Pricing is about $20 a dish. They do have combo lunches as well. The staff was very nice and helpful. The food came fairly quickly. The inside of this place is smaller and casual. It's great for smaller groups.

Cold Noodle and Bulgoki Combo Dinner

Came here for an early dinner on Saturday and was seated right away. The interior was small and there were two outdoor tables. I order Combo A and my friend order Combo E. Everything got to our table promptly and was super hot (except the cold noodles of course). Everything was delicious! The cold noodles were really refreshing and the bulgoki was super flavorful. I tried my friend's sul long tang and it was really good as well. A lot of other restaurant's sul long tang are really bland but not this one. I'll definitely be coming back again when I'm in the mood for some good soup again.

    Chicken Bulgogi

This place really is a hidden gem! The plaza is tucked away from the bustle of Irvine so can be easy to miss. The restaurant feels like a family-owned place with a smaller interior and staff that feel like they can be your aunt. I ordered the Sul-Long-Tang with noodles which was a great portion for the price. I appreciate that they let you season it yourself so you can make it to your preference. The brisket slices were generous compared to many other places I've been to, especially for the price. The soup is so cozy and nourishing and pairs great with the side dishes. Out of all the sides, the fish cakes would be my favorite. We also got the Chicken Bulgogi because we were curious how it would taste. It came in a sizzling pot and the dish was way better than we expected. Unlike beef, which is more on the savory side, the chicken was both sweet and savory with a slightly spicy kick. We did get mild spicy so I would imagine the spicy option would be quite spicy. It was overall a great experience dining here because of how mellow it is. We did come at off-meal time so that might be the reason why. There were also a lot of takeout orders as well, so I imagine most people just ordered their food for pickup. If you are looking for some wholesome Korean food in a no-frills setting, I highly recommend this place. I'm looking forward to trying some of their other menu items next!

Seoul House is such a gem and a true warm and welcoming mom and pop spot that instantly feels like home. The highlight for me is their creamy homemade Korean soup which is absolutely incomparable. Knowing it has been marinated for 24 hours makes every sip taste that much more special, and you can genuinely taste the authenticity and care that goes into it. The broth is rich and comforting with flavors drawn straight from simmered bones and pure organic ingredients. It is the kind of food that nourishes both body and soul. I am definitely coming back w my boo.

Best decision of my late night misadventures in a long time! It was very filling (you could probably order one item and split it or have plenty of food for leftovers the next day), it's not inexpensive but it's great value (but then again $20 for a meal out is kind of going rate standard so maybe it is inexpensive or comparable to most anything else you could choose?), and it's great quality. The soup is a combo meal that comes with rice, glass noodles, fish cakes in sauce, and kimchi. You can also modify the spice level to make it more mild or spicy depending on your preference. I don't know why I am so obsessed with the soup but I'm going to think about it for a while because I was 100% lost in the sauce while eating it - after you get halfway you can put the rice, part of the kimchi, and (maybe) the fish cakes in the soup so it gets closer to porridge and break up some of the blood sausage to mix it throughout. Service is friendly and can recommend different things to eat. I got my order as takeout but the dining atmosphere is really good for how close each table is to one another. Everyone still has enough space to be on their own but because you're closer together it kind of feels communal.

The other day, I took my father there again just to see if anything had improved, but unfortunately it was very disappointing. The service was still really bad. We ordered one of the specials from the menu, and nobody informed us that ordering the special meant it would not include the usual side dishes. This was very poor communication on their part. They should clearly mention that in the menu before customers order. Instead, after we ordered, they told us that the side dishes were not included. Overall, it was a frustrating experience, especially compared to how good this place used to be.
