This has to be some of the best Jokbal I've gotten to try in OC/LA! We went with their spicy jokbal, herbal pork belly, and the jumbo buckwheat noodles. This set of food can comfortably feed 6 people, but if its just two people, highly recommend just the jokbal as they give you a pretty good portion here. The sides, sauces and everything was on point. Definitely coming back!

The Zion Market food court just got a new addition and I was so excited to try! I feel like jokbal is pretty hard to find in Irvine, so it's nice that there's a solid place nearby I know I can go whenever the jokbal cravings hit. The chew factor and flavor were everything I want from jokbal, and it comes with a good amount of sides. I really liked the icy acorn jelly it came with. My Korean mom approved of this place too which is good to note.

Been waiting forever for a place like this to open in Irvine. And this place sure knows how to make legit Jokbal. The spicy one is good but I think sticking to the original one is always better.

    Jokbal!

One of best Jokbal we had so far. Living in Irvine over 20 years, we often drove to Garden Glove or Fullerton when our family were craving Jokbal dishes. Now we can enjoy weekly here.

Food is pretty good, but the overall value is AMAZING. The side dishes and vegies they give you is overwhelming and they taste all great.

So good! The pork trotters were super tender and packed with flavor. The sauce was amazing--definitely coming back for more.

I have my regular dishes but I have pretty much tried a little of everything because I like to come with my girlfriends, work friends, and large date night groups. The ladies who serve us are so sweet, they always serve with a smile and go the extra mile when I bring new friends! I don't want to give my secrets away but the best time to go to Yoo's is right when they open or the off hours, so you can fully immerse yourself in the Korean food goodness!

There is nobody else standing in line outside and the owner comes outside to tell me 2 times that I need to wait 30-40 minutes. I told her there is no waiting in front of me, and that it should be first come, first serve. She says no, you can only sit on tables for 1 person and it will be a 30-40 min wait for that. I said okay, but if there is no line and people are done eating with empty tables it should be fine, right? There is a waitlist, and that it should go in order. She said no, you can only get seated on tables for 1. Then she proceeded to say it's a 30-40 min wait again as if I didn't already know that for the second time. I told her i'd wait, but now i'm feeling bad and don't know if she even cares to earn my business. It's my 5th time coming here, and unfortunately this place was one of my favorite Korean restaurants and since I'm from out of town I make sure to visit each time I am in the OC. I'm not sure if I want to continue coming back here if service remains this way. It's embarrassing enough to come alone, it's even worse when you're called out in front of people inside of the restaurant while there are only 3 people waiting outside. When I got seated she didn't even give me a menu and asked me what I wanted. Lucky for her i'm Korean and was already a repeat customer from the early days so I was able to order right away-otherwise how could I order? God forbid I ask for any recommendations on the menu... 1 star well deserved for this. Congratulations this is the first time I rated a fellow Korean restaurant 1 star. There is a first time for everything I suppose.

Yuk Dae Jang is best known for their premium bork belly, and I've enjoyed it on a previous visit. So I decided to try something different this time and try the Braised Spicy Premium Beef Rib with flat glass noodles. I also asked that it be made less spicy. It still had plenty of flavor with just the right amount of heat, and the beef was so tender. Staff helped cut the ribs so it's easier to eat. I also ordered their steamed pork dumplings, which was a hit! The dumpling wrapper had the perfect texture - it held all of the flavorful filling together while remaining not too thick. The spicy cold noodles was refreshing, but I may skip this one next time. Definitely the star of the show was the Braised Spicy Premium Beef Rib!

The size portions here are generous and enough to split with others. My favorites were the prime beef bulgogi with glass noodle, brisket spicy cold bibim noodle, and beef short rib sullungtang with glass noods. I'm not really a pork eater but maybe next time, I'll try the bossam. I can really taste the quality of the foods and I like that they keep the ban chans simple. I'd rather have quality than quantity, that's for sure. Pro tip, get the purple rice. Service was great. The food came out pretty quickly and that was good cause we were hungry folks. Also, if you love k-pop, this is the place to eat! They play k-pop videos and music here, especially BTS!

The food is consistently solid, the banchan is a standout, and the whole experience always feels fun and easy. I tried the raw marinated crab for the first time here, and it was so flavorful and honestly tasted amazing. It is definitely a little messy to eat, but I would absolutely order it again. The short ribs are usually my go-to and were great as usual. I will say BCD Tofu House probably has them beat when it comes to LA galbi specifically, but these still hit the spot. The bulgogi was also a solid addition to the table. One of my favorite parts of coming here is the banchan. The sides always taste super fresh, feel a little more unique than the usual lineup, and seem to change depending on the season or what they are featuring. The mac salad and japchae are always favorites for me, and you really cannot go wrong with the kimchi or cucumber kimchi either. Service is consistently quick, easy, and attentive. Inside, the neon lighting gives it a fun, inviting vibe that feels like a little slice of Korea. Great choice when you want a lively dinner with friends or just want to switch up family night out.

This isn't the place for trendy fusion dishes or flashy presentation; it's all about hearty Korean comfort food that feels especially satisfying on a cold day. My go-to Korean dishes are Yukgaejang and Bossam. The spicy beef soup is usually my benchmark for any Korean restaurant. Tang 190's version delivered everything I look for: a rich, deeply flavored broth with a satisfying level of spice and plenty of tender beef throughout. It's the kind of soup that keeps me coming back. This last visit, I finally got to try their pork and kimchi platter. The pork itself was tender and enjoyable, but I wasn't a fan of the cabbage. Instead of being lightly pickled with salt, it had been fermented to the point where it resembled white kimchi. I've actually never seen it made like this before. I definitely prefer the fresher, crisper flavor profile to pair with the pork and radish, so this preparation didn't quite work. Service was efficient, and the meal arrived quickly. On any other day, it's usually a 5 star visit, but the bossam preparation was a huge miss for me. While prices have crept up over the years, Tang 190 still does what it does best: serving comforting, no-frills Korean food that consistently hits the spot.

I ordered the galbi tang and steamed dumplings, and my meal was delicious. The beef ribs were very tender, and they did not skimp out on the meat portions which can sometimes be an issue at other restaurants. I usually order a side of extra glass noodles, but I'm glad I didn't here because the noodle portion was also generous. The dumplings were juicy, and the dipping sauce complimented them perfectly. My favorite galbi tang spots are in Buena Park, but Tang 190 will definitely scratch the itch when I can't wait since I'm local to Irvine.
