3.8 stars!! A unique Korean inspired all you can eat shabu shabu spot with pyunbaek (steamed shabu meat with cabbage) this was something I've never had at a shabu spot so it gets bonus points for that! Broth: As an avid hot pot lover, the soup was just okay to me. The spicy Thai was tangy and too sweet for my liking, I thought it was gonna be similar to tom yum, but it wasnt. Spicy pork ended up being the better soup, can never go wrong with this! Meat: top blade is the best one! we tried wagyu, chuck roll and rib eye. If you are into more leaner meats, top blade is the one to get. For the steamed shabu meat, the chuck roll was my favorite! I think I prefer the steamed meat over the raw regular shabu meat! I would add a bit of salt and red pepper and pepper to the meat to season and it was yummy! Sauce: they have a variety of options here, their sesame sauce was a bit on the sweeter side which is different from other places (not my fav) but they have all the regular toppings you'd find, even a bottle of hot drops! Sides: the selection was pretty solid. Lots of ramen noodles on top shelf to add to your meat which is fantastic! Also seafood and other shabu noodles options were there overall not bad for ayce, I like the steamed meat the best would probably come back and order more of that than their shabu meat.

I'm so happy that I finally tried dPOT. We came on a Friday evening and waited 25-30 mins to be seated for a party of 4. I got the spicy pork broth and loved that everyone got their own pot. My favorite meat was the chuck eye roll. The quality of all the meats were so good! I also enjoyed the fried pork belly. The vegetable + seafood bar is not as extensive as other hotpot places but had everything I usually eat (kale, cabbage). The sauce bar is not my favorite but good enough to make one of the sauces I usually like (ponzu + garlic + cilantro + green onion). Overall, very solid spot and nice ambience.

Vibes: Bustling, modern hot pot atmosphere, dark and trendy Crowd: Quite busy, be prepared to put your name on the Yelp waitlist Menu: Simple AYCE menu, not a lot of customizability Value for price: 5/5 (pretty affordable for AYCE) Service: Quick, friendly Parking: Tons (Woodbridge shopping center) Came on a date to dPot on a Saturday night at prime time; we put our names on the Yelp waitlist and it ended up being 1hr of waiting. We just explored the shopping center while we waited. The restaurant itself is bustling, but cleaner than most hot pot places I've been too. The self-serve bar has noodles/seafood/vegetables, there's a sauce-mixing station (always has a small line), and some seasonings. Complimentary slush at exit. Otherwise you order at the table. Although the menu was fixed and there were limited meat options for dinner, the price was great for AYCE and the meat quality was not bad. You choose a broth/meat (1 choice per person) and a stacker (recommend the Half/Half Galbi eye/pork belly) and order as many "small bites" as you'd like. The porridge was fantastic; recommend saving that for last. Karaage and soba cold noodles were also a very nice addition to the hot pot itself. Great place for simple, reliable hot pot: just beware the $5 charge for excess leftovers :)

How do I keep forgetting this place exists? Its so good! I've been here 3 times. Their Soba noodles on the side menu are surprisingly my new obsession! I never particularly loved soba until now. For an AYCE experience, their menu has good variety of sides that will keep you from getting bored from just AYCE hotpot. Aside from the standard hot pot items like seafoods, meats, veggies, and sauces - dPot also has a heaping variety of instant noodles you can grab to throw in your hotpot as well. I have only had great experiences here and the servers are cute and welcoming.

One of the best Shabu/hot pot spots in Irvine. Meat quality is top tier and the choices for veggies and toppings are also great. The meat stackers were too salty for me so I would not order that again. Servers are nice and the restaurant is clean. Overall I recommend this spot!

Dpot absolutely understood the assignment. Ahhh I'm OBSESSED with the brisket jjim steamed, insanely tender, and literally melts in your mouth The flavor is deep, comforting, and perfectly balanced. The unlimited veggies are a huge win too--always fresh, crisp, and refilled constantly. You can really taste the quality in every bite. Service here is always good. They keep everything clean and service your needs! I love that they serve soju here. This is the kind of meal that warms your soul. Cozy, satisfying, and 100% crave-worthy. I'll be back... probably way too often.

A very solid all-you-can eat hotpot spot in any weather. Price at this time is ~$38 per person for dinner, reasonable given unlimited meat, soup base, sides, seafood, and veggies which were all presented in clean and easy to access/order manner. Atmosphere is comfortable, leaning towards dark with ambient lighting vibes not full on bright light in your face, staff is friendly everyone was helpful instead of just one designated server which we enjoyed. We especially love the marbling and quality of top blade, the fried dumplings and slushies are a plus too!

It's hot pot season! Cold nights bring out the flannels and hot soup! I've been to the Buena Park location but haven't been here so we decided to check it out. Spacious waiting area outside with seats and playground. Also since it's winter there's an area that's decorated with Christmas lights. Very pretty in the evening! We got the Miso soup and bulgogi soup base. Bulgogi was pretty salty. Had to ask to add more veggie soup base to balance out the saltiness. Soup bases were super flavorful! You can actually taste the soup base on the meat you dip before even dipping into the sauces! Impressed! All the meats were actually really good. Forgot which one the server recommended, maybe the prime top blade? That was the best meat but try them all! The recommended dipping sauce on the sauce bar, one of it was good and another had a distinct taste yet I couldn't stop dipping in it. Appetizers were yummy and they also had ramen on top of the veggie bar to end your meal! I've never seen a hotpot pace providing ramen packages to be eaten there. So interesting! At the end of your meal they give you flavor slushie also. It was refreshing! Service was super attentive!

This will always be my go-to hot pot spot that I recommend to friends! I've been here way too many times, and it never disappoints. The quality of the meat is amazing, and there's such a great variety of options to choose from. My favorite cut is the chuck roll it's so good and always hits. My personal favorite broth is the spicy seafood, it's hands down the best. If you love spicy food, this is definitely the one to try. I also prefer this location over the BP one because the meat quality here is noticeably better. The service is always great; the staff takes such good care of us, and I've never experienced long waits or any issues. The interior is simple but really nice clean, cool, and super vibey. It has a chill atmosphere that makes you want to stay and enjoy the meal. Definitely give it a try if you ever want hot pot!

Not my favorite shabu place I've tried but what makes this place unique is the steamed meat stackers they offer. Note: they only offer pork and beef for the stackers. The veggies offered is quite limited compared to other AYCE shabu places. The sauce bar has alot of options though. The inside is a little dark and music is a little too loud to have a good conversation at least for me. The inside is spacious and service was excellent; our sever checked up on us frequently and was friendly. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here but if my friends wanted to go here I wouldn't be opposed.

Stopped by Sunday night with my boyfriend. I've been wanting to try this place since they have outdoor dining! I don't think I've ever been to a hot pot place that has outdoor seating. We sat outside and our server Jay was really nice. He was attentive and we were able to get all our meats quickly and our water was always replenished. The veggie bar was stocked with plenty of variety in veggies, mushrooms, and noodles. I also really liked the variety of options for the sauce bar. We got the beef and doenjang broth and I really liked them. For meats we stuck with multiple rounds of rib eye, chuck roll and top blade. The chicken karaage was also a good snack but the sweet and spicy sauce wasn't spicy at all. The soba noodles was a nice refresher to have throughout the meal. I do think the star of the show for me was the complimentary slush at the end of the meal. They had peach and tangerine and I really loved the tangerine one. Definitely would come back! Since both food and service were amazing.

All-you-can-eat shabu, unlimited meat stackers, cold soba noodles, and a whole ramen bar for only $37? Say less fam. And $27.99 for weekday lunch (with less options ofc), is not bad either. You start by picking from 9 different broths--highly recommend the spicy pork and bulgogi--load up on all the fresh veggie, shabu ingredients, and even seafood. Back at your table, your meats have shown up. They've got all your staples: wagyu, ribeye, pork belly, chicken, lamb--these are all sliced thin so it cooks super fast. And they have these meat stackers which are shabu meats steamed in a wooden steamer box that supposedly have health benefits? and are super yummy. And the best thing is, they're included with your meal! And I had to make my favorite Buldak carbonara from the self-serve ramen bar (don't mind if I do) right in my shabu pot. Thanks for reading! ^-^

Tried this place for the first time. Good thing we were so hungry, bad thing it was so late! After dinner we were so full and felt guilty since we had a good workout the day before, so we walked for half an hour and did a little workout at the gym afterward. As for the place and food, I couldn't help but compare it to All That Shabu. I would actually recommend both. If you like a place with a nice view to walk after dinner, this is the spot. I kind of like the quality of the meat here better, and they have a side of fried pork belly which I love. On the other hand, All That Shabu has more selection in the all-you-can-eat buffet area. Both places are satisfying, but if I had to choose, it depends on group size. For a group of more than 4, I'd go to All That Shabu. For a party of 2-4, I'd choose this place. Parking is okay too, not directly in front, but the walk isn't bad since the shopping center is really nice with the lake.

You can tell this place has a strong base of regulars too, I saw a mix of friend groups and families casually walking in like it's their go-to spot. We ordered the cold noodles combo with jokbal (pork hock) for $30.95. Portion wise, it's SOLID for two people. The cold noodles were refreshing and really hit the spot, especially if you like that clean, slightly tangy flavor. The jokbal was very decent. Not bad, but if you've had it in Korea, you'll notice it doesn't quite hit the same level still totally "usable," just not standout. Value, this is where they win. Best decision of my late night misadventures in a long time! It was very filling (you could probably order one item and split it or have plenty of food for leftovers the next day), it's not inexpensive but it's great value (but then again $20 for a meal out is kind of going rate standard so maybe it is inexpensive or comparable to most anything else you could choose?), and it's great quality. The soup is a combo meal that comes with rice, glass noodles, fish cakes in sauce, and kimchi. You can also modify the spice level to make it more mild or spicy depending on your preference. I don't know why I am so obsessed with the soup but I'm going to think about it for a while because I was 100% lost in the sauce while eating it - after you get halfway you can put the rice, part of the kimchi, and (maybe) the fish cakes in the soup so it gets closer to porridge and break up some of the blood sausage to mix it throughout. Service is friendly and can recommend different things to eat. I got my order as takeout but the dining atmosphere is really good for how close each table is to one another. Everyone still has enough space to be on their own but because you're closer together it kind of feels communal.

I saw they had Galbitang...and was excited to try their version of it. But my buddy was sold on Yukkaejang... Being a fan myself..mostly because I have never found my favorite one, I agreed. We also wanted to order mandoo and bibimbap as a control. The waitress comes over and we order those three items. She tells us that we shouldn't order the bibimbap, we should order the hot stone version. I love Korean restaurants....it's way more important to order what the employee thinks is best....yes let's do it! Our food comes out and everything is delicious! The Yukkaejang is very good....but also very spicy. Definitely at the top of my threshold for spice...but I am wimpy. The stone pot bibimbap was interesting and yummy. It had a miso flavor to it...very good! The hilarious part was the mandoo seemed so bland after eating the other two dishes....just due to the intensity of flavor! The banchan was good as well. I was using the wonbok kim chee to cool down my mouth from the Yukkaejang...that's how spicy it was...lol I know we will be back...definitely for the Galbitang!
