It's been ages since I last had Dada Shabu Shabu, so I brought my boyfriend here to experience it since I hyped it up to him lol. He did say it was ok and still preferred a different shabu places as it did not have enough meat options. I remember the buffet area having more options before, but it was still good. The yangnyeom gejang was so good that I barely ate much meat--I was mostly eating gejang with rice and noodles the whole time. We were seated right away and the servers were very attentive. I saw some comments on TikTok saying the place was renovated, but it honestly looks the same as I remember from a few years ago.

This has always been one of our favorite places for AYCE shabu shabu. When we were younger we loved that it was AYCE. Now, we love the veggie and seafood bar that you can use. What we do is make a seafood broth first: crab, clams, mussels, and shrimp. Whether you eat all of that or not ... Now you have a great broth to cook your meat. Then, after having your fill of whatever meat you like ... You can make either rice porrage or ramen in the broth. To make porrage, ladel out the majority of the broth -- take out almost all of it, since you can always add a bit. Put in some rice ... The add an egg. You can add a little broth if needed. I prefer to make ramen. Add a bit of kimchi and also add an egg. We love this place.

My new favorite Shabu spot in Irvine. The buffet was meticulously kept clean, which is very important to me. Also, they have so many varieties of both raw and cooked foods. The broth you can make yourself with the variety of sauces and paste. The meat selection while small is pretty fresh and consistent in each order round, meaning they don't give you lesser quality meat in each subsequent round.. The beer selection is also good. The space is comfortable and tow people can share a pot with two different types of broth. Easy parking. Good service. Please come and create your own adventure.

First time here tonight, and it was great! Lunch and dinner on the weekend is the same price: $38.99. Kids pricing is by height. The selection was fine. It's a cool atmosphere. The servers are quick, nice, and accommodating. There's only one area to get the veggies, sides, and sauces which is different from All That Shabu that has two areas for grabbing the veggies and sides. This place was a little smaller, but it was fine. They even have a snow machine for shaved ice dessert. The toppings included homemade red bean, fruit cocktail, maraschino cherries, watermelon, mandarin oranges, mini mochi, condensed milk, matcha condensed milk (?) two syrups, etc. There's a soda machine, coffee, and water. Tons of sauces. The workers are constantly refilling and wiping things down. I felt like everything was fresh and clean. We got there early because I knew a line would form. There's a 90 minute limit which was perfect for us. I would definitely come back maybe for a weekday lunch. The music is upbeat and fast. I recommend!

I think I go here at least twice a month. The meat quality and the veggie selection is great but their prepared hot dishes are incredible! The chicken wings, marinated crabs, spicy rice cakes, fried rice, sesame balls, japchae, Jokbal, and when you go at dinner time they also serve minced ribs with rice cake. So good! Service is great and attentive. Inside the restaurant is kind of dark and can get a bit chilly. Make sure to take a light jacket.

I love the shabu shabu buffet at Dada. There are so much to choose from meats, seafood, vegetables, hot food, etc. The best part was free drinks (sodas, coffee, etc.) and desserts (make your own shave ice). The staff were very attentive and came by to top off the broth and ask if I need to order more meat. The ambiance is cozy, casual and family friendly. It was $38.99/person on the weekend - very reasonable and a great deal. Highly recommended!

Receipt for group of 3. Around $40 per person as of December 2025.

The food was high quality beef and pork. I only didn't like the chicken. The service was excellent. Although my group exceeded the 90 min time limit, our server let us stay to finish our meal and conversation. He was a good representation of this principle - politeness (the respect of others). The ambiance was very welcoming when you come in since there are seats to your left to sit down and wait. For my fellow gym bro: 2 plates of beef would already be around 60 - 100g of protein if you have 16 slices per plate that are 2 - 3g each.

After shopping at Zion supermarket tonight, I drove over to Da Da Shabu for dinner as I always see a line in front of the restaurant but have actually never dined here. Ayce selection was great. Food was amazing! I think it's one of the best Korean buffet/hot pot in Orange County. Everything was super fresh. From the meat cuts to all the seafood, vegetables, and pre-cooked bar. All prepared dishes were so good. Fried rice was chewy and tasty and not dry like most pre-made fried rice. You can tell the high quality of it. Glass noodles were delicious and the mixed stir fried veggies in it were fresh and not brown from sitting out all day. The spicy shrimp were excellent. The prime beef was super tender, it melted in my mouth. I couldn't even finish a plate of ribeye prime cut and also the sliced chicken breast. But if you have a good appetite like most people I saw in the restaurant, you would be in heaven at this place. Service was great. Staff constantly checking up on diners and quick to refill the protein plates. Absolutely loved it. 10/5

This is my second time here. The service is great. They have a wide variety of meats, vegetables, and sea food to add to your soup. They also have quite a few of side dishes to choose from. They have plenty of tables and can accommodate large groups. We came here for lunch when they opened and they got pretty busy within the first 30 minutes or so.

Service was fast and efficient. From the moment we walked in, to getting our table, servers coming by to grab used plates, and check out time without asking for the bill (guess they spotted me eating desert). The broth here is a neutral base (miso) and there are so many fresh ingredients that you can add to it to change it like veggies or seafood. They have many styles of noodles too. I came here a long time ago prior to Covid and it's just the way I remember it. The buffet area is super clean and neat. I didn't eat more than 2 plates of meat we ordered in the beginning because of the KFC-Koren Fried Chicken and KFR-Korean Fried Rice. Two of my favorite dishes here. So many good things to eat and cook yourself. The cooked food here is delicious.

Me and my girlfriends were on our way back from SD and we stopped by this place. I literally just woke up from a nap and was disoriented so I barely remember the first 5 minutes in the restaurant LOL But damn, the AYCE bar is packed! They have a variety selection and even though it was packed, everything seemed pretty stocked and the bar was also pretty clean. The meat quality here is not bad for ayce and we usually just order all the beef cuts. I honestly don't even remember what broth we ordered LOL! The sauce bar smacked and they even have a BINGSOO station at the bar!!!! I didn't get it but my friend did. Pretty cool spot!

Arrived here for dinner with a group of friends. Service and food was top notch! How I've slept on this place is a mystery to me when I visit the Irvine area. It's a Korean AYCE shabu spot located in the plaza off Irvine and Yale. Quality of food here was amazing. Everything I tried at the buffet bar and meat quality was so good. Got some complimentary gejang from the chef. First time trying gejang, and wow was mind blown. We ordered a few rounds of beef and thoroughly enjoyed the overall dining experience. 11/10 would recommend this place. Come hungry and enjoy every bit of Korean shabu taste!

If you're in Irvine i highly reccomend checking this place out. It's a AYCE hot pot/buffet style shabu shabu restaurant. From the outside you wouldn't expect it to be so spacious but once you get inside you can see that it actually offers lots of tables and a buffet section offering lots of items. They have a sauce bar, raw seafood, various noodle options, veggies, cooked food and much more. You order meat from your waiter. They offer different types of beef as well as chicken and lamb. My favorite was the steak and prime beef. They do not skimp out here they load you up with freshly sliced beef. Service was amazing. They have several waiters who bring out your meat and clean your plates up quickly i was truly blown away by their amazing service. For weekend dinner we paid about 39 per person and it was definitely worth it. This price includes drinks, coffee and even shaved ice section.

It looks very modern and clean. Service was fast and the staff were very attentive. I brought my mama here for mother's days and it was her first Shabu experience and a great one at that. I got Tonkatsu base 10/10. An honorable mention is their cooked chicken (I'll insert a picture). Easy layout and ordering process. I think this is my new favorite Shabu. One thing to note is the kids price is a bit on the higher side $17/child (so if your kiddos eat very little maybe it won't be worth it for you). I also noticed that the restroom has a baby changing station! You'd be surprised how many don't, so thank you from a grateful mom who notices these things.

Everything is truly unlimited, and you can taste the difference in the freshness and marbling. The cuts were tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly in the broth. If you're debating the wagyu upgrade, do it. The marbling is beautiful and it melts in your mouth. Definitely worth the upcharge. Their unlimited bar is another highlight. They offer a wide selection of fresh seafood, crisp vegetables, hot side dishes, and a full sauce station so you can customize every bowl exactly how you like it. Everything looked clean, well stocked, and high quality. What makes it even more exciting is that starting next month they'll be offering ayce sushi as well. If it's anything like the quality of their shabu, it's going to be a huge win. Great service, great selection, and premium quality ingredients. I'll definitely be coming back.
