Mo Mo Paradise is now in Irvine and is a great option for a quality AYCE shabu meal. This spot is located in the same plaza as 99 Ranch where there is a solid amount of parking spots. Inside, they have a modern interior with a good amount of seating. Wifey and I stopped by for dinner with some homies and were seated shortly. We opted for the wagyu experience which was $55 per person. It was well worth it for us as we went rounds and rounds with the meat. Everything was very high quality and I enjoyed the all you drink station they have as well!

Made reservations for lunch but wasn't necessary. The restaurant is clean and quiet in a good way. No loud background music, just the noise of people enjoying their hot pot. Meat quality was great and the broth was not overly seasoned which is perfect for hot pot. The highlight of today's visit was the host/server, Brian! He was so welcoming and truly made the entire dining experience pleasant. Great service truly leaves a lasting impression. I highly recommend this place! The milk tea was bland but the curry was good!

First time to try this location. I saw the 20% walk in promo on instagram and decided to try it today for lunch on Friday. It's actually such an amazing deal because Friday lunch is $29.95 and after the discount it's less than $24 per person for AYCE meats, veggies, and more. We walked in around 11:45 and it was not too busy. It started filling up more throughout our meal. It seemed like they were understaffed with no hostess, so our server Anderson was also seating people. He was truly friendly and efficient given all the work he had to do. He took our orders, brought out everything we asked for, and checked on us many times to clear out empty plates and bring us refills of various items. The short plate was my son's favorite meat. While I liked the Chuck Eye roll because it was leaner. Both were very good in the two broths. We tried many different veggies, tofu, noodles, sauces, curry, etc from the farmers market. Everything looked clean and fresh. I think it's tough to get such a good AYCE deal in Irvine, hence the well deserved 5 star review.

Had a great and fun meal here!!!! Was craving hot pot and decided to try this place out. WE LOVED IT! We came on a Saturday around 1PM. We had a reservation but the restaurant had open tables at the time. We loved that it was a bit more empty. The parking lot, on the other hand, was WILD! We ended up parking behind the daycare center. We opted for the AYCE Wagyu experience which was pricey but oh so good. Everything in the restaurant seemed new and clean! The servers were friendly, helpful, and attentive. And I loooved all the fresh vegetables at the self-serve bar/farmers market. So many great choices! Overall, all the meats were delicious. Fatty, flavorful, and yummy. We ended up doing the Shabu Shabu broth and Sukiyaki broth. Both were great! I really LOVED the gomadare sauce (sesame seed sauce). And I was addicted to the Taberu Rayu chili oil at the self serve bar. SO GOOD. I ended up eating so much! But I didn't feel terrible as I had a bunch of veggies too. And at the end, we got free ice cream (mint chocolate chip and strawberry cheesecake)! I would've gotten a second scoop but I was soooo full. Had a great meal! Would totally come back.

Tried the new shabu-shabu spot in Irvine tonight (in the plaza by 99 Ranch on Jeffrey & Walnut, in the newly renovated building). The restaurant is beautifully done--clean, simple décor, spacious seating, and a really nice atmosphere. Service was excellent and very attentive from start to finish. The meat quality was good, and the broths were flavorful, which made everything taste great. My only suggestion would be to offer more vegetable options. Compared to places like Shabu Shabu (or similar all-you-can-eat shabu spots), this one had a smaller selection of vegetables, seafood, and add-ons. Overall, we had a great experience. I'd highly recommend making a reservation--they said they get very busy.

This is my first time at this location. Its so close to work i can have it 3 times a week! Let me first tell you about Jan C. Hes so welcoming. He asked us all the questions and told me I can do the review too! You bet your sweet sukiyaki butt ill do that!...and he got us! Holy smokes hes the guy. I love the ambience this location has, and theres an automated rice dispenser!! MIND BLOWN!! Im so excited to "dip" in and eat. I will definitely be back. We usually rip a pack and here's the pull...Forever Young

Love mo mo paradise and have been to other locations. Made a reservation online in advance and service was fairly quick. Amount of vegetables were good and they refilled it pretty often. Overall good experience and would come back. The only bad thing is the limited parking in this plaza, had to park very far back near the tesla chargers. Keep in mind if coming for dinner hours or weekends.

This hot pot spot replaced house of shabu shabu which was a UCI classic. Now, it's been remodeled since the fire and has a variety of small and larger tables for seating. There's also a large variety of vegetables which I really appreciated. For the menu, you can opt for the wagyu or Momo experience, one is more expensive than the other. You order the meats from your server but everything else is self serve. Our server was very attentive with the meat ordering which we appreciated. One note of feedback was that their tonkotsu broth and tomato broth could be more flavorful. The sukiyaki was definitely the star of the show for our meal

Parking can be annoying since there are so many great places to eat there and the grocery store is there too. But luckily, I was able to score a spot and meet up with friends. The place is AYCE and you have 90 minutes to eat everything at $54.95 per person. They had rice and curry where the veggies were located. We opted for the wagyu meats (American wagyu round, American wagyu cross rib, American wagyu chuck eye). We ordered meat after meat after meat. We also opted for the Sukiyaki and tomato soup base with eggs. Our server's name was Kenneth or Kenny. But he was very helpful and prompt with getting our orders in. The interior is minimal but comfortable. Everyone's pretty busy eating away and trying to get as much meat as possible during their stay.

Absolutely love Mo Mo Paradise! The service is awesome and Brian always takes super good care of us when we visit. Shabu ingredients are delicious, great quality and bang for buck since it's AYCE style capped at 90 minutes. Veggie options are fresh and plentiful and the beef and pork options range from lean to delightfully fatty. Also love adding on the unlimited drink bar because of their specialty teas and toppings. My favorites are the Yuzu Jasmine and Passion Fruit Oolong teas. Can't get enough! Ambiance is casual. We always leave feeling super satisfied. Thank you so much for the care the staff puts into prepping the ingredients and service.

Toppings are sweet so be careful how much you add

Arrived around 5:30 on a Tuesday night and it was dead, just the way I like it. Glad they opened a location in Irvine because as much as I like their shabu, the drive the Rowland Heights was rough. I always get their Sukiyaki broth with egg to dip. Lunch Mo-Mo experience would be ideal bang for your buck at $38 but if you go during dinner you're looking at $50. Wagyu experience isn't needed in my opinion if you order the Short Plate which is the fatty underbelly, but if you want leaner then get the Chuck eye which is the upper shoulder. What's special about MoMo is their rice and delicious curry available at the veggie bar. Their curry is so good I'd buy it as a lunch combo if they'd offer it. Would highly recommend this place for your next shabu experience.

came for dinner and there was no wait. they had a promotion the time i went and i had a good meal. the meat quality is quite good. but very filling so be wary when ordering alot :) veggies and toppings were arranged nicely and neatly. there are many tables and they are spaced out nicely. i liked the curry and the rice portion machine. soup base was alright, nothing crazy good service and nice staff!

I'm so excited Momo Paradise opened in Irvine! It's a chain Shabu place from Japan and they have it all over the world. I've had it in Taiwan and Torrance so I'm very happy it's finally closer to me. I was able to book reservations online for our party of 7. Check in was easy and we were seated right away. Our server was very thorough in explaining how the process works. I got the Shabu Shabu broth while my kids got the tonkontsu broth. For a small additional price I upgraded to the all you can drink option which included an assortment of sodas and teas. The meat came out fast and they were good quality. I also love the farmer's market where you can grab your own veggies and other food items. I really liked the unlimited Wagyu beef curry rice. For dessert we can order ice cream through the server. Parking is a bit tough since this is a popular plaza with 99 Ranch and other restaurants so be sure to give yourself extra time to find parking.

I've always wanted to properly dive into the world of Pho? Well, after an amazing hike in Irvine…read morethe other day, I was absolutely famished and decided it was the perfect time to make that happen. I spent a little while scrolling through options, and boy, am I thrilled I landed on this particular spot! Seriously, it was such a great decision. From the moment I stepped inside, the whole atmosphere was just fantastic - really warm, inviting, and had a super cool vibe. And the food? Oh my goodness, the pho itself was utterly incredible! The broth was incredibly rich and flavorful, and all the fresh ingredients just hit every single spot. It wasn't just good; it was truly the best pho I've ever tasted, by far! The staff, especially the person who served me, was so genuinely friendly and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. I even had a bit of a comical struggle trying to master the chopsticks (still a work in progress, haha!), but honestly, it just added to the fun. I'm already daydreaming about my next visit - I absolutely can't wait to go back!

Both bowls seemed noticeably saltier than what I remembered. In fact, we both found ourselves constantly reaching for water throughout the meal. The ingredients were still good quality, and I generally like what Sup Noodle Bar does with its food, so I'm not sure if this was just an off day or if the recipe has changed. The broth still had depth and richness, but the saltiness overshadowed some of the other flavors. Because I've had better experiences here before, I am still giving it 4 stars and would likely return. I'm hoping this visit was simply an exception rather than the new normal.

Casual restaurant with a selection of cold dishes displayed up front. Lemon water in pitcher is provided once you get seated. Order via QR code. A standout dish was the pork pancake, which was layered almost like a savory crepe. The exterior was crispy and slightly oily. Plenty of flavor packed into each bite mmm I also ordered the spicy sauerkraut lamb hot pot. It comes with flames & reminded me a bit of Boiling Point. Lots of napa cabbage in the broth. The lamb was excellently fatty... tender and soft! I've recently had another hot pot place with lean lamb so this was on point. Portions were generous and the price felt very reasonable. My favorite dish of the meal was the fatty beef with scallions. The beef was indeed fatty and rich flavor, with what I think was a nice subtle Shaoxing wine or cooking wine flavor. The former because everything looked and sounded so good; the latter because it's hard to know whether you can trust what some of these foodie accounts are saying is truthful or paid for. Given how I write Yelp reviews, the irony in saying that doesn't escape me. However, now that I've been here several times, I can happily report that everything those IG accounts said was entirely true! Even though their complex isn't very large (parking is usually easy, but it can be scarce at time), Yoo's Place itself is decently large and always seems to have tables available for groups large or small. Similarly, their menu is rather extensive as well, to the point where it took us a while to figure out what we wanted to try most the first time we came here. Whether it be their appetizers, soups, stews, cold noodles, hot noodles, BBQ meats, stone pot dishes, bossam, broiled fish, galbijjim, and even omurice and Chinese dishes. In short, too many dishes for me to try before finally writing this! -- BANCHAN For the most part, all of these were great! Of the bunch, the fishcakes, kimchi, and radish were my favorites. I also like the kabocha a lot, but they sometimes slather too much mayo/sauce. -- HAEMUL PAJUN - Seafood & Green Onion Pancake As weird as it is to say, this almost came with too many goodies, as it was chock full of seafood and green onions. Definitely a nice problem to have, but I do wish there had been a bit more batter to make this crispier. -- HAEMUL KALGUKSU - Homemade Noodles with Seafood I don't get this often, so I don't know how it compares to others, but this tasted so good! The noodles had such a nice chew to them and I love that they didn't skimp on the seafood. Plus, the portion is large enough where you could easily stretch this into two meals! -- SEOLLEONG TANG - Ox Bone Soup Similar to the Haemul Kalguksu, this was one hearty bowl of soup! The broth was rich and beefy, there were several large chunks of meat, and there was a lot of noodles in this. Plus, I liked that they also included a lot of veggies and strips of eggs, too. -- DAKNALGAE TWIGIM - Deep Fried Chicken Wings Despite falling a bit short of what we hoped for, this was still pretty solid. While the portion initially seemed light (only about eight wings), each piece was HUGE, the batter was crispy, and the chicken itself was juicy. I just wish it had been a little more flavorful. -- LA GALBI & (SUKEO) SOON TOFU COMBO - Marinated Beef Short Rib and Seafood & Beef Soon Tofu Soup The LA Galbi was great - meaty, well marinated, tender, lightly charred, and the portion was sizable for a combo. As for the Soon Tofu, it was terrific! The tofu soup was rich and hearty, had a good mix of beef and seafood, and was just so comforting. -- JAJANG MYUN - Noodles with Black Bean, Pork, Cream Sauce Maybe it's because I haven't had a legit Korean Jajang Myun in ages, but this was pretty good! The noodles were perfect and I love how it came loaded with plenty of pork and onions. The sauce had a bit of an aftertaste to it, but I still liked this. -- KODUNGAE - Broiled Mackerel This was delicious! Compared to the one we had at BCD, this one was deboned better and was just as big, if not bigger. Plus, not only was it still really moist, but the mackerel still had some crispy edges, too. -- KALBIJJIM - Braised Short Ribs While I do wish this had more chili peppers in this (it was really yellow), the taste of this was still awesome. More importantly, there was a fair amount of short ribs, which were so tender and meaty, along with rice noodles, glass noodles, cheese, and vegetables. SO GOOD! -- NAENGMYUN - Sliced Beef & Vegetables over Noodles with Spicy Sauce This was on the house (possibly from ordering the kalbijjim) and, even though it might have been a scaled down version of the dish, this was still so good! The noodles had the perfect chew, there was just a touch of heat, and the overall flavors were amazing! In addition to the food, the service here is fantastic. All of the workers are super friendly and the kitchen gets dishes out very quickly. What's more, the workers will happily refill any banchan dishes and every table comes with a small thermos of beef bone broth that is just so PERFECTLY DELICIOUS! Even when it's hot out, it still hits the spot - it's just so warm and comforting! Honestly, it's one of my favorite things at Yoo's Place! With so many options in Irvine and around the rest of OC, I know there may very well be better places than Yoo's Place, especially when it comes to a specific dish. However, I can't imagine that Yoo's Place isn't among the best of the bunch. I'm not sure if I want to continue coming back here if service remains this way. It's embarrassing enough to come alone, it's even worse when you're called out in front of people inside of the restaurant while there are only 3 people waiting outside. When I got seated she didn't even give me a menu and asked me what I wanted. Lucky for her i'm Korean and was already a repeat customer from the early days so I was able to order right away-otherwise how could I order? God forbid I ask for any recommendations on the menu... 1 star well deserved for this. Congratulations this is the first time I rated a fellow Korean restaurant 1 star. There is a first time for everything I suppose.
