Been eyeing this place for a while now and it worked out because it was right next to the Vuori warehouse sale. This place is beautiful inside it has gorgeous green jade colored plating. Very sophisticated and elevated. Reminds me of X Pot meets Niku X. AYCE premium hot pot for $55 ($50 for membership price//membership is $18 per year I think). We ordered the second tier which included the Wagyu truffle fried rice. Wow that was so good it filled me up! Highly recommend the truffle fried rice and the Wagyu meat was so soft and tender. The rice was so perfectly moist! I tried all the appetizers and my favorite probably was the crispy baby octopus and the juicy octopus bite. They gave a huge sauce bar that tasted really fresh with tons of appetizers and cantaloupe and cuties. We got the short plate which was a more fatty beef, the a5 Wagyu brisket that they limit to 1 per person and pork belly. The pork belly was the most meat but the a5 brisket was the most beautiful marble. I was so full ordering only 4 plates of meat. The soup is so good. I loved the chicken pepper because it had ginger in it. If you want a thicker version then the pork stomach is also a great option. Michael got a hot green tea which is so nice they serve it to you in a pot so it tasted so fresh and I got the orange green tea which wasn't too sweet and tasted very Orange! We also got their dessert cinnamon mochi which was served warm and wasn't too cinnamon-y. They also serve black sesame ice cream too! All in all, great experience and easy to find parking! The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly.

More of a 3.5 stars but the server we had was aming nice so 4 stars more for service. Pros: [[HIGHLIGHT]]good for big parties with private rooms, offer individual pots table for up to 6 people vs sharing one pot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nicely decor inside feel more luxurious[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], great service the day we went, meat quality. Cons: not a lot of sauce options or appetizers. Cheapest option being $35 bucks not as competitive as other ayce places. Overall the place was just decent, nothing too memorable and for the higher pricing they should offer more appetizers and options at sauce bar.

It was my first time at Prime Hot Pot and it did not disappoint, the premium hot pot restaurant that serves unlimited wagyu beef and lots of seafood options. I had to order all the wagyu I wanted to eat cause I love wagyu! There's multiple tiers at Prime and they all offer unlimited options and a self-serve sauce bar. I had the B Menu which came with a few appetizers, I liked the one bite shrimp and salmon & tuna tartare! Menu B had a limit of one order for the A5 Brisket so of course I ordered it, so fatty and tender! The short plate, chuck short rib, chuck roll, and round flat were pretty good too. I also tried the seafood platter, abalone, and fresh oysters! The abalone and fresh oysters were my favorite. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Prime Hot Pot is definitely a gem in Tustin for AYCE wagyu hot pot, the interior is beautiful decorated and gives off an upscale vibe and ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was great, the servers kept checking up on my party. Can't wait for my next visit!

This place opened up close to my house so I decided to check it out on a rainy day. Immediately upon walking in, I was greeted by a host and amazing decor. There was no wait which was nice and got seated at a booth. We ordered from Menu A and only got brisket and chuck roll. The brisket was VERY flavorful. I got mild house spicy broth and it was the perfect amount of spicy to still be enjoyable. However it was definitely spicy so be cautious of that. Overall, the place is reasonably priced and it's amazing that they have tuna tartare and baby octopus appetizers included in menu A for only $35!! Only thing that was slightly off putting was the service but we will be back!

Great hotpot place to try if you are ever in Tustin. It was our first time trying this place out since moving to Irvine and decided to give this place a try. Upon arrival we were greeted with friendly staff that sat us right away. When you get to your table it feels so spacious that it was easy to get comfortable while you eat your meal. The waitress that we had that night was great she went through the menu pretty efficient and answered all our questions . Made it easy to choose the what we wanted . There is a sauce bar where you can go and create your dipping sauces for your meats. I love how there's so many art that it was just a aww moment when you saw it. I highly recommend you try this place out if you ever are in the mood for hot pot or if it's your first time trying it. Thanks prime hotpot for excellent service and amazing food . You will see me back again soon

Walked in (without reservations) with my family. Huge place. Plenty of seating. Super nice lady and great service My kids ate free. No charge. Yay! The service was great. Lots of water next to you (in the push cart) and lots of napkins also (in the push cart at the bottom right drawer). $35 for cheapest lunch menu per person. It's all you can eat. It's so good. There are only 5 diff meats but the meats were good. The noodles were good. The rice was good. Omg I also ordered salmon sushi just to try out. So funny but their salmon sushi was fresher and more delicious than an actual sushi place! Couldn't believe how good it was. I got fish filet also. My kids love fish filet so it's always a must order for me. I got the bone broth. And also got the chicken with pork bone broth. Both of these are not spicy and awesome tasting. For meats - they'll give you a sampler plate if you ask. Which is when they'll give you 5 diff meats on one plate just to try a bit of everything. I did this to try all the meats. Towards the end, I recommend only getting the chuck roll and the beef plate. Both of these are amazing. Skip the brisket because you can get that meat anywhere. But the chuck roll hands down had the most marbling so it was nice and fatty haha. You walk up to grab / make your own sauces. They don't charge extra for making your own sauces like other hot pot places. Forgot to mention. At the very end, they give your kids free ice cream. At least they gave my kids some free ice cream lol. Vanilla or strawberry flavored. 100% milk and has a spoon inside. Loved it! I'll be back! To be honest, I prefer this place over Haidi Lao. Can't believe I'm saying that but this place is more delicious.

We had to try this place since this was a fairly new place at the Tustin District. Overall, the experience was okay. The whole experience was slightly confusing though. However, the waiter helped to answer all our questions. We opted for the B menu, which does include A5 wagyu. The quality was definitely there and all the meats tasted great, but to be totally honest, you really can't tell the difference with the american wagyu and the japanese A5 one. The service was pretty good as our waiter came around quite often, but the food was just super backed up. We waited so long for the meats to come out that we really got full as we waited and let the food sit in our stomachs. The ambience was nice and beautiful, nothing to complain about. I wish more hot pot places would adopt this kind of ambience. We'll probably be back, but will 100% stick with the cheapest option at $35 per person.

Our new goto for AYCE hot pot at Tustin District. It's definitely an experience and not cheap, but their items are high quality and they have a decent selection for what you choose. We have been here three times since Prime Hot Pot has opened. All of our visits times have been exceptional. The staff is extra friendly and helpful. The restaurant is very clean with plenty of seating. We recently joined their membership for $18 a year which gives us some member perks and discounts as well as a free birthday meal. We really enjoy their soups, brisket, fish filet, and fresh veggies. They have a great sauce bar too. Their ponzu is delicious and very addictive! Only complaint we have is that the food can take some time to arrive. We have to wait awhile for our rice and soup at one point..so be sure to order a lot of items ahead or eat some of the hot foods they have available at the sauce bar. Also, the cut of the meat is sometimes inconsistent. There are times when they melt in your mouth and other times where they're a bit chewy but still good. Nonetheless, a great addition to The District. We'll definitely be back again very soon!

We went for dinner Friday night and loved the experience. There is plenty of parking right next to the restaurant. The bright sign makes it easy to find. Inside the restaurant is one of the most beautiful hot pot restaurants you will ever see. Service here is friendly and efficient. They had great recommendations for us. We went with the B menu offering. We got the beef bone broth, which was so flavorful. They have a tablet to order from, which made it super efficient to deliver food and drinks. They have an extensive sauce bar with some helpful recipes if you don't know what to make. And by the time we got back to our table with our sauces, the appetizers and meats began to arrive. We got the salmon and caviar sushi which was very fresh and delicious. We also got the one bite shrimp and the hot stone wagyu rice. We ordered seconds on all of these. We also ordered the seafood platter and the vegetable platter for our hot pot. The shrimp, mussels, oysters, cuttlefish and fish were all fresh and delicious. The mushrooms, cabbage and pumpkin were all favorites. The marbling on the best was fantastic. Every piece melted in our mouths. We had ube ice cream and black sesame ice cream. Both were very good. The brown sugar mochi was our favorite of all the desserts and ordered a second helping. All in all it was a wonderful experience. We loved the ambiance, the service and of course all of the food. We cannot wait to come back!

What I Ordered: 68 set ($68) Crispy Pork ($10) Fortunate Wagyu ($12) Wagyu Beef Tongue ($16) Food: I ordered the 68 set which came with Grilled Beef Tongue, A5 Wagyu Tataki, Wagyu Short Rib Roll, A5 Wagyu Platter with Brisket American Chuck Roll and Short Rib, Handmade Fishballs, Abalone, Shrimp, Vegetable Platter, and Wagyu Truffle Stone Rice. I know, it was a TON of food. My favorite appetizer Grilled Beef Tongue. When I say it melted in my mouth, it LITERALLY melted in my mouth. As well as the meat being cooked to perfection, the seasoning was perfect as well. Another side dish that I really recommend is the Wagyu Stone Pot Rice. I love that they mix together the rice right in front of you, which adds to the premium service of the restaurant. The Wagyu Platter offered high quality fresh meats, and my favorite was the A5 Wagyu Brisket. Every time I dipped the meat into the broth, the meat pieces would absorb all of the flavors from the broth and create an explosion of flavor in each bite. I tried both the House Spicy and Beef Bone broths and both were delicious in their own way. Their House Spicy is definitely on the spicy side, so be careful! I got the medium, and it was still a bit too spicy for me. That's when the Beef Bone broth saved my tastebuds with more of a savory flavor. Overall, all of the foods were definitely high quality and felt premium, which I believe is the vibe they are going for. Service: All of the staff members were quick and friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I'm not sure if it was because it was their soft opening, but it did seem like they were doing a lot of cleaning and organizing around the restaurant during our meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ambiance: [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant has a premium interior feel with fancy furniture and huge LED that make it feel like huge dragons are flying around the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

*This post is only for business management and not regarding food* I got pretty excited about trying this new spot since I saw this ad on instagram about it being BOGO deal. However, when I called them they had said the BOGO deal is ONLY for people who are MEMBERS. I have never even heard of a $39.99 membership for a hotpot place before. I get it if it's a gym membership but this is quite interesting. It is honestly false advertisement on their IG post. It would have been nicer if they explained it without hiding shady information. Do better with adding more fine print. Just giving yall all a heads up. Stay safe yall.

    Updated AYCE menu options 7/21/24.

My husband and I both got the membership two weeks ago and has been back twice for the October member BOGO promotion! It's such a great deal for such high quality A5 and American Wagyu. There are also many appetizers and sides to change things up. I love their Wagyu Truffle Stone Pot rice. It is so good when they let it crisp up in the hot stone pot! I know some people wonder if it's worth getting membership but for us we already got our money's worth with this promo that ends on 10/31. Hoping they will run more in the near future. Also shout out to the awesome staff! Everyone is so friendly and attentive. I already feel like they know us from our last several visits!

Ivan is one of those host that makes you want to come back to this restaurant. His hospitality, his energy, and his love for his customers are what makes him a genuinely good person that made my dining experience here fun and memorable. As for the food, we ordered the classic set and the food was top notch. I have been to many AYCE shabu places and this place by far has one of the best quality in meats. The sushi and seafood were fresh and the presentation was surprisingly "fancy" (which is a good thing) at an AYCE. As for the service, I was definitely impressed. I don't expect much from these types of restaurants, but all the servers were willing to either help with the menu and or place our order. They actually looked like they wanted to work there and wanted to help the customers. The only one negative is that a lot of the servers were new so they did not know what meat was being brought out. This did not negatively impact their score since I know that they just opened and it will take a little bit of time for everyone to get caught up to speed on the food.

I'm Asian so I know how to handle spice, but even a level 2 on their spice level will be a bit painful. The interior looks newly designed, and the inside is very clean. The standout dish for me was the fried rice. For a hot pot place, they really know how to cook up a delicious fried rice. The meat was unremarkable, but with how thin they slice the meat at hot pot/shabu places, I've never been too impressed with any meats a hot pot place. I can understand how business owners, managers, servers, and customers are all caught within the vicious fluctuations of markets and so on. However, what I was recently served at Kaizen Shabu last week was, to my mind, an egregious example of a restaurant offering well below the bare minimum of what should be expected for the prices listed (and my photos will show this, I believe). At the outset, I want to say I have no grievances with the servers. Our server was kind, attentive, and was elegantly multitasking. Bravo. Now, the food: we ordered the salmon "sashimi" plate, and what we were handed was a platter of the thinnest, grainiest, obviously-thawed and poorly sliced salmon I've ever eaten in my life. I was a bit shocked. At Cal Shabu Shabu (and other shabu places I tend to frequent more often), sashimi is... sashimi. It *looks* like sashimi because it IS sashimi: a piece of salmon purchased by the restaurant and knife-cut into appropriate portions depending on what portion size the customer has ordered. It is sashimi that gleans in the light, where the striations of fat and tissue are visible to the naked eye on the fish itself. As you can see from my photos, we were served paper-thin salmon that I could barely peel off of the plate with my chopsticks without ripping the fish into smaller, grainier pieces. It was all but inedible, in my opinion. This is not sashimi, and to serve such a thing for the price listed is beyond atrocious: it is an outright deception. Now, onto the side of veggies and noodles that come with every order of meat or fish. Perhaps the cooks could not be bothered, but what I received was broken tendrils of 2-inch udon haphazardly thrown into a bowl. I'm not sure if this is an issue with the chefs, with a dwindling supply of food nearer the end of the night, or if this restaurant truly does not care about the quality of what they are serving customers. Again, I think my pictures speak for themselves. I used to love coming here as the atmosphere was chic, and the servers are so kind. After my last dining experience, however, I cannot justify the price of my bill in the face of the quality of the food I am being served. I won't be returning, sadly. I hope the manager has an opportunity to look at these photos and perhaps reassess what can be done to improve what they are serving their customers.

Frog Hot Pot You can tell the difference right away. The…read morefrog is fresh (not frozen) -- big pieces, tender and bouncy, and incredibly flavorful. Frozen frog doesn't even compare. Portion is a bit small for the price, but it's so good we wished there was more. Grilled Fish (pleasant surprise!) The fish was thick, juicy, and very tender -- not dry or over-fried like many grilled fish dishes. The sides were generous (lotus root, potatoes, celery, wood ear mushrooms, cauliflower). We ordered mild spicy, and even kids could enjoy it. Perfect for 2-3 people and great value. Overall, a very satisfying Sichuan meal -- bold, flavorful, and worth the visit.

The service was fast and the food was good. We ordered the bullfrog in green chillies oil, tongue & stomach cold dish and cucumber salad to cool down the spiciness of the chilies oils a Dish. Different flavors explode in your mouth on the first bite of the bullfrog in chillies oil. The bullfrog meat tastes like chicken meat and nothing special. The side dish of tongue and stomach is quite tasty. Only wish that it would served warm instead of cold. They charge $2 per small bowl of rice so order wisely.

I hadn't been to Shabu Shabu Bar in a long time, so coming back felt pretty nostalgic. This was…read moreactually the first place where I was introduced to shabu shabu, and it's what started my love for this type of food. I remember it being really affordable back then, but of course prices have gone up over the years. These days, the cheapest small size is around $22-$24, which isn't shocking with inflation and higher wages. One thing that hasn't changed, though, is the tiny cup of ice cream they give you at the end of the meal, which is a nice little touch. The seating is all bar-style, which can feel a bit overwhelming if you're an introvert like me and prefer having your own space. That said, it's not uncomfortable. People mostly keep to themselves, and the servers don't bother you much either. They'll check in once in a while to see if you need anything, but they're not constantly hovering. What really stands out to me about this place is the goma sauce. When it's done right, it's seriously good--rich, nutty, and super flavorful. Honestly, it's one of the best goma sauces I've had, and it makes the whole meal that much better. Even after all this time, that sauce alone reminds me why this place left such a strong impression on me in the first place.

The meat is always high-quality and consistent, but my favorite part is what they do once you're done with the meat...they make your leftovers into a flavorful ramen bowl! Nothing goes to waste and it's such a fun, satisfying way to end the meal. Plus, they top it all off with a little ice cream at the end! Every visit has been nothing short of wonderful. Highly recommend!
