I've picked up from Show Hotpot via DoorDash more times than I can count -- mostly because the combo meal is such an easy go-to. And it's close to my work! You choose a protein (I always go with lamb), and it comes with a great variety of goodies: napa cabbage, spinach, spam, potato, tofu, fish balls, plus rice or noodles (glass noodles are my fave), and a drink -- either their milk tea or soda. The price is solid for the amount of food you get, and the set makes it super convenient when you're craving hot soup but don't have time to build a custom order. Spice levels are adjustable, and I usually go for the spiciest -- sometimes it hits, sometimes it's more mellow than expected, but still flavorful. I've been loyal to this spot for a while and honestly would rate it a 3.5. Not spectacular, but does the job for hotpot fix. I have noted that it isn't as cleanly compared to past visits. Take it with a grain of salt though, cause I'm usually in and out! II haven't personally had a bad experience, but I'm cautious enough now that I've been considering exploring other options. Our first time here at Show Hotpot. It is located inside the food court right now, but it seems to have a new location with a store. The restaurant is simple. You can pick a combo which has preset hotpot with a drink or make your own. We decided to make it our own. You can select as many items as you want and they will weigh it at the end. It's $13.99 per lb. Pretty standard pricing. They have several different brothers. I've tried the traditional beef bone broth and tomato broth. I recommend the traditional broth. Overall, I liked my broth and enjoyed my hotpot. It's individual hotpot, so each person can pick your own favorite ingredients. The tomato broth is so so. It will be great if it has a store instead of locating inside the food court. All the stores didn't open on the weekend, which looks deserted. read more

I was craving for Chinese soup so i was happy this place was near by. It's a food stand in a food court setting. It's Saturday night but it was very quiet. Only a few restaurants were open. We got to order our food right away. There were not as many items to choose from as with other places that I visited. The sliced beef was very fatty, you could barely see any lean meat. The soup was tasty but way too oily for my taste. Unfortunately, we got tummy ache that night because the food didn't agree with us. The price per pound was the same as other places. Hot pot stand in a food court - nothing fancy, no frills, and they do a great job to bring tasty comfort food. COMBO = way to go - approx 1lb food, fixed toppings, rice or noodle AND a drink. with tax, you are under $20 which is a great deal. I would suggest you steer away from ordering a la cart and picking what you want, because before you know it, you've got 1.5-2 pounds of food to eat. Tomato broth and the lamb combo is honestly my favorite here. Flavors were good and variety in the combo was nice. While they are a to go counter, they do a good job of wrapping up your food carefully and sealing it so that you do not spill or destroy it. They carefully bag everything in a bag meticulously like they care. Online Ordering through their website - price is a little bit higher and there is a surcharge ($1). If you are in a hurry or go in a peak time, it may be worth it. Looks like they support other online ordering platforms too. Parking is easy in a plaza that doesn't get too crowded, next to TP tea. read more

Health department please step in. So unfortunate. I've eaten at this restaurant for 2 years almost weekly (at least biweekly). I'd say of the past 2+ years, I've gotten 4 bugs in my food. This one was the worst because I'm pretty certain this is a baby cockroach. I was a few bites into my hotpot before I noticed the bug and took it out to look at it better to make sure it actually was a bug. The food here is incredible but there's no way this restaurant is up to health code standards. Today when I went to pick up my order, the lady handed me my food from behind the counter and immediately started screaming and stomping looking at the floor. Someone from the back came running to the front with raid, so this tells me they are aware they have a bug problem but are still serving customers. I lost my appetite and just poured the rest of my dinner down the sink drain. I couldn't eat another bite knowing a cockroach was cooking in my soup. I understood the first time thinking it was just a strange situation but 4 bugs over a 2 year span? They'll be losing me and my family as one of their long time repeat customers. Note that they are located in the food court in the corner of the plaza and NOT under their current store sign. I had their pre-set meal on Uber Eats that came with the lamb. Broth was very hot and flavorful, and there were a ton of ingredients included (although I personally am not a fan of Vienna sausage...). I did forget to ask for dipping sauce (I LOVE SAUCE - I will scream that from the mountain tops) so I just ate it with the flavor of the broth, but it was still very delicious. I love how it came in a sealed container for safety purposes and it kept the meal hot! It had all the ingredients I really liked already. I do wish I ordered a medium over a mild; I thought that it would be very spicy with mild. Portions are great, and I saved half for another meal. I loveee show hotpot! It is the perfect to-go meal that is also open late at night. It is also wayy cheaper than other hot pot places depending how much you add to your bowl. Hot pot is one of my favs & when I discovered Show Hotpot, it became a new staple for me in Irvine. Using their online ordering system is ideal for fast pick up. I always get a create your own, medium spicy. They do not mess around with their spice here & you will feel the after effects of the spice a few hours after eating this lol. I usually add beef slices, nappa cabbage, baby bok choy, tofu, & spinach and it is around $11. (It gets pricier the more items you add) I always ask for garlic & mix ponzu with it once I am home! Ordered the beef combo soup for about $18, medium spicy. The order comes with a bowl of rice, choice of drink (we got the milk tea), and they even added a small almond jelly dessert to our order. This is the best bang for your buck. The soup came out pipping hot and had so much flavor. The perfect balance of spice and savor. A single order can be easily shared between two people. The milk tea was also very good and authentic too! So happy we discovered this spot. It's currently tucked away in a food court, but will be moving a few doors down! The packaging is high quality and seems like it's made for those ordering for delivery/take-out. Your hotpot comes in a sealed bowl that prevents any spillage on the drive. You open it with the lid cutter tool that comes with the meal. There is a utensils packet with thick chopsticks, a spoon, and napkins. This restaurant is PICKY EATER friendly! If you're like me and don't like most toppings that come inside soups, this is the perfect place. You can build your own bowl, starting with the base and adding as many toppings as you want. There is an individual charge for each topping - it is not AYCE style. I ordered the tomato soup base which was savory and not too salty. The flavor was elevated 1000% percent when I added all the garlic sauce that was on the side (purchased separately). My favorite toppings are the frozen tofu and bean curd sheets. The frozen tofu soaks up the soup like a sponge, and it is so delicious and juicy when you take a bite of it. The bean curd sheets adds a unique texture to the meal. I will definitely be back to try more toppings and soup bases! :) read more

My bf and I really enjoy Yintang back in the 626 area and we were looking for something just like that in the OC area, which how we came about to trying here! It is located the corner of a plaza that looks to be like a food court? We came around dinner time and all the other eateries were closed by this hot pot place, so you basically have the whole area for seating. So there are plenty of seats available. Their selection is a bit limited, but has the essential hot pot ingredients you would typically see. You would kind of just point whatever you like and they will pick it for you to put in the bowl. I wish we were able to do it ourselves so we can have more control of the weight, but the lady helping with the bowl would put a generous amount in the bowl. After selection, you are given a number to wait for your order when its ready. After picking up our bowls, they are extremely hot, so be careful! I had the mild broth which was the right amount of spice for me. Based on the ingredients they used, they don't taste very fresh? The beef and lamb were both more tough to eat, so I feel like their meat quality here isn't that great. I got this tofu skin that tasted like it has been there for awhile, but the rest of the items seemed okay. Overall, I feel like this place is okay if you were to get your fix for this type of hot pot style, but I personally like Yintang much more lol. Here is a bit more expensive and the ingredients were not as fresh, but the broth was pretty nice. The biggest factor for me would is the DIY option where you are more limited to choosing the items and controlling the weight yourself. read more

I ordered the beef bone hot pot off of Uber eats for pick up. It took a while to get an employee's attention but I picked up my order and went back to eat in my office. They package the food super securely, sealing the top of the bowl with plastic like a boba cup. Unfortunately, the container isn't resealable so you'll have to finish it in one meal or have another container. The meal itself was really tasty and the portion was good for me. I got extra mild and it was still a little spicy for me but that's because I'm super weak My combo came with ramen and a drink. I got the peach oolong which was on the sweet side. Their combo is such a steal. $17 for a drink of your choice (milk tea, fruit tea, plum juice, or soft drinks) with a bowl that has the protein of your choice (tofu,beef, lamb) I do prefer building my own bowl as their pre set bowls are quite skimpy when it comes to veggies or meat. I always get their bone broth and I recommend you opt for the mild or very mild on the spice level if you aren't use to/ can't handle malaspice because the options after that are killer. Huge shoutout to the shop for managing to pack the hotpot neat and efficiently while still having it retain its heat. Even after 30 minutes I didn't need to microwave the bowl. read more

There's an option to select a pre-made (set ingredients) bowl but one thing I love is the ability to customize my bowl based on how hungry I'm feeling at that moment. There's also an option to choose the spice level but I would say it's pretty inconsistent, but not to worry, you can always just scoop out the chili if it's too spicy. Because they always give more than enough broth, J also love asking them to seal the bowl so that I can bring it him and toss a pack of udon in there for lunch.
