    Pork chop rice
    Food Finder G.

I wanted to get the pork chop rice. It was ok , a little bland. But the price is really expensive ~$16 for a food court. And not much meat. It was more expensive than other restaurants ie. Tofu king. It was disappointing, nothing to write home about. The lady there was nice though.

the staff were warm and welcoming. the people that ran the store were two kind asian people. they recognized we were asian as well and we instantly connected because we both spoke chinese. they were incredibly generous with the beef noodle soup portion. the tables were clean and the wait time for food wasn't bad. sandwiches were savory and had a fair price to them. i definitely recommend this place if your budget for food is between $10 and $20. the food is solid.

They have great sandwiches and so many varieties to choose from. Run by a couple who are great about making sandwiches to order. Love this place!

One of my new go to weekday lunch spots! I have had this spot bookmarked for a while and finally got around to trying it. It's in a food hall with a lot of offices in the area so it does get a little lunch rush but the service is still so quick. I usually come around 12 and my food is ready in 5 minutes. I have only tried the Jah Jun noodles (which is the Taiwanese version of Korean jajangmyeon) and the beef noodle soup so far but they were both excellent options for a quick Taiwanese lunch. I will definitely be back to try some rice dishes as well as their sandwiches.

I had the dry pork noodles and they were DELICIOUS. Very authentic flavor, and delivered by Sherry with such kindness! This is the small business flavor you've been looking for. I give them 12 STARS OUT OF 5!!! Antho Mr. Hyperlocal 非常好吃。很地道的凉面,我一定回来。下次我尝一尝那个pastrami三明治。Sherry很善良,丈夫真是个大厨五星。下次再! 安肃 本地通

Hidden Gem of Irvine Fast, Fresh, and Friendly! Sandwiches and Asian home cooking served with a smile. This is a Family Owned Business, ran by the same Asian couple everyday. The woman at the front counter is always happy and sweet, and the man making the food in the back is dedicated to his craft. They offer a large menu with variety for any pallet. I get the Home Cooked Stewed Pork Plate every time, highly recommended! Indoor and Outdoor seating available. Please give them a try!

Bomb sandwich with huge portion and great quality~ A little hard to find since it's in a small mall joined with 3-4 other eateries. Atmosphere is a small mom and pop shop, with huge selection of sandwiches and Taiwanese dishes. BF got the philly cheese steak and I got the pastrami ($10 each with tax). The pastrami was stuffed between two rye breads with veggies, super fresh and not overly salty. Portion is huge so definately enough for two people's worth. I tried a bit of the Philly Cheese Steak and steak was well cooked and seasoned between soft French bread. Owners here are super sweet, highly recommended visiting here for a quick and affordable meal.

The Reuben pastrami sandwich was good and service was friendly. We went in the afternoon and it was quiet in the plaza. Would return.

The pork chop was perfectly seasoned, super crispy on the outside, and incredibly satisfying. They also give you a generous portion, so you definitely get your money's worth. The braised pork rice was another favorite. The pork was so tender that it practically melted in your mouth, and it paired perfectly with the rice. But the biggest surprise for us was actually the cucumber salad! It reminded us of a kimchi-style cucumber, but we thought this one was even better. It was super fresh and crunchy, with the perfect amount of garlic and a great balance of flavors. The service was also quick, polite, and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. Their teas were great too! Overall, King Chops is definitely a spot we'd recommend if you're craving Taiwanese food. We'll absolutely be back!

Depending on the current promotions, I've seen additional coupons for UCI students or for BOGO half off. I like coming here to get authentic Taiwanese food. Reminiscing old times with aunties and uncles eating at night markets. They definitely use fresh vegetables and cook their soy sauce eggs well. The dried pork chop has all spice flavoring with a hint if white pepper and black pepper. So good. Staff is good and efficient. Just have to pay attention if you are taking food to go as she yells out the number in Chinese first and then English. So if you aren't nearby or listen carefully you will miss your order.

Great location & great plaza though with so many options and so much going on here - that's why it's so crowded! Ambiance - interior is beautiful and vibes are nice. Most restaurants had a long wait - but this one, we could get seated at an actual booth immediately. Service was good, very friendly and attentive. My friend and I ordered Beef Skewers, Chicken Skewers, & Mapo Tofu & Ground Pork with Rice, Orange Chicken, & Black gold molten custard buns. Food was great - good value for good portion sizes. But orange chicken was a little too sweet. Would definitely recommend and would likely come back!

I got the potsticker combo with the corn chowder. Not sure if the cornstarch settled down during transport but the soup was a bit watery. Respectfully, I'm not a stranger to Taiwanese comfort food, which I love! This place will hit the spot if you're super hungry like we were...lol. Their menu is straight forward. You place and pay for your order at the counter and snag a table if it's not too full in there. Fortunately we came around 4pm, which is perfect for those who like to eat dinner early like us. There were open tables everywhere, so I was surprised by the lack of cleanliness in there that day. A few table tops weren't wiped off (food and water marks left over), and the trash can was overflowing (my pet peeve, so had to minus a point!!). Hopefully they'll be on top of it for next time though. Okay 'nuff said about that... Order up (4 stars for their food): - Pork Chop with Braised Pork Belly Rice (not pictured...my husband said it was just a tad sweeter than what he's used to, but he still enjoyed it!). - Combo #8. Old Fashioned Noodle with Bafang Pork Chop (great flavor and perfect chew on the noods for me. The pork chops were so tender and juicy!). Saw someone order the Beef Noodle Soup...super huge! I heard their dumplings are what they're known for in Taiwan, so I'll have to try that for next time. Yes, I'd still come back since the food didn't disappoint. LOL! CHEERS and happy eating till next time...
