    Pork chop rice
    Food Finder G.

I wanted to get the pork chop rice. It was ok , a little bland. But the price is really expensive ~$16 for a food court. And not much meat. It was more expensive than other restaurants ie. Tofu king. It was disappointing, nothing to write home about. The lady there was nice though.

the staff were warm and welcoming. the people that ran the store were two kind asian people. they recognized we were asian as well and we instantly connected because we both spoke chinese. they were incredibly generous with the beef noodle soup portion. the tables were clean and the wait time for food wasn't bad. sandwiches were savory and had a fair price to them. i definitely recommend this place if your budget for food is between $10 and $20. the food is solid.

They have great sandwiches and so many varieties to choose from. Run by a couple who are great about making sandwiches to order. Love this place!

One of my new go to weekday lunch spots! I have had this spot bookmarked for a while and finally got around to trying it. It's in a food hall with a lot of offices in the area so it does get a little lunch rush but the service is still so quick. I usually come around 12 and my food is ready in 5 minutes. I have only tried the Jah Jun noodles (which is the Taiwanese version of Korean jajangmyeon) and the beef noodle soup so far but they were both excellent options for a quick Taiwanese lunch. I will definitely be back to try some rice dishes as well as their sandwiches.

I had the dry pork noodles and they were DELICIOUS. Very authentic flavor, and delivered by Sherry with such kindness! This is the small business flavor you've been looking for. I give them 12 STARS OUT OF 5!!! Antho Mr. Hyperlocal 非常好吃。很地道的凉面,我一定回来。下次我尝一尝那个pastrami三明治。Sherry很善良,丈夫真是个大厨五星。下次再! 安肃 本地通

Hidden Gem of Irvine Fast, Fresh, and Friendly! Sandwiches and Asian home cooking served with a smile. This is a Family Owned Business, ran by the same Asian couple everyday. The woman at the front counter is always happy and sweet, and the man making the food in the back is dedicated to his craft. They offer a large menu with variety for any pallet. I get the Home Cooked Stewed Pork Plate every time, highly recommended! Indoor and Outdoor seating available. Please give them a try!

Bomb sandwich with huge portion and great quality~ A little hard to find since it's in a small mall joined with 3-4 other eateries. Atmosphere is a small mom and pop shop, with huge selection of sandwiches and Taiwanese dishes. BF got the philly cheese steak and I got the pastrami ($10 each with tax). The pastrami was stuffed between two rye breads with veggies, super fresh and not overly salty. Portion is huge so definately enough for two people's worth. I tried a bit of the Philly Cheese Steak and steak was well cooked and seasoned between soft French bread. Owners here are super sweet, highly recommended visiting here for a quick and affordable meal.

The lamb skewers were juicy and perfectly seasoned with cumin, and the grilled beef tendon skewers had an amazing crispy, chewy texture. The soup dumplings were full of flavorful broth, and the braised beef knife-cut noodles were chewy with large, tender chunks of beef. We also tried the beef paomo for the first time--it was warm, comforting, and packed with rich flavor. The portions were generous, the prices were very reasonable, and after chatting with the staff we learned the owner is from Xi'an, which explains how authentic everything tasted. If you're craving Northwestern Chinese food in Irvine, this spot is definitely worth checking out!

The menu is only on the kiosk or on their website so look ahead. The restaurant was practically empty when we arrived so we didn't mind since we had kids. However, there were wet signs on the floor and buckets everywhere to catch a leak. It was very chaotic. We ordered the crispy beef and pho inspired beef noodles. The crispy beef was thinly sliced and fried before getting tossed in their citrus glazed sauce. It got too sweet after a few bites. The "pho" was okay, it had lots of meat but the broth was something I couldn't put my finger on. The noodles were "unlimited". I asked for a second bowl of noodles and were given knife cut, when I originally had thin. I don't mind it but if it were anyone else, they may have cared? Maybe it was a bad day..

IYKYK. ;) Ordered the orange chicken, Lao Gan Ma fried noodles, and the beef roll. The orange chicken was really good, but I fell in love with the beef roll. The bread was flaky, the beef was incredibly tender, and it was packed with flavor. I'd order that every single time. The noodles were good, just not my favorite of the three dishes. That's not a knock on them. The other two were just that much better. Folks, this was takeout! I figured it wouldn't be nearly as good at home as it would be fresh at the restaurant. Wrong!. By the time we got home, everything still tasted fresh and tasted *chef's kiss*. AND the leftovers were just as good the next day. The orange chicken crisped right back up in the air fryer, the noodles reheated well on the stovetop, and nothing tasted like it had spent the night in the fridge. I'll definitely be dining in next time. Northern Cafe: 10/10!

They make a small hole in the pancake so the juices can drain instead of staying trapped inside, which makes it easier to eat. The hot pot was okay, although some of the broth had a slightly unusual spice taste. The cold dishes were not bad, but be warned--the spicy ones are really spicy! Unfortunately, the service was terrible, and the wait can be very long during dinner hours. The noodle soups were also way, way, way too salty for our taste. Pricing is not bad--pretty average for Irvine. Overall, there are definitely some good dishes here, especially the Xiao Long Bao and spicy fried chicken, but the service, long wait, and overly salty noodle soups were disappointing.

I've had them delivered and they were still juicy and crispy, buns weren't soggy at all. I liked the mapo tofu I've also had, not much to comment on, standard but tasty! I also tried the shandang spicy chicken. It was incredibly tasty and fragrant, the whole room smelled like it the moment I opened the bowl (which was probably 3 times bigger than the mapo tofu container, very big!). My one issue, I'm used to more "whole" bone-in chicken like legs and thighs etc, but the chicken was butchered into bite-sized pieces with pretty much each piece having bone in it. I'm not used to searching through bite-sized chicken pieces for bone so it was a bit of a chore. I did it anyways because it tasted amazing! Their xiao long bao is also really good and definitely comparable to Din Tai Fung and Paradise Dynasty. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and the dumplings and wontons were so moist and flavorful. The beef roll is a MUST. Unlike some places where it can be dry, theirs had the perfect amount of sauce and was so good. Also get the lava egg yolk steamed buns. So soft, moist, fresh, and delicious. But surprisingly, one of the biggest standouts was their drinks. They use real tea, and their taro milk tea completely changed my mind about taro drinks. Fresh taro mixed with real tea, perfectly balanced, and not overly sweet. I would literally come here just for the drinks. If you love boba, you need to try them. Just be prepared to wait because this place gets BUSY. Lunchtime was packed, and we came around 3 PM and were lucky to get a spot. Everything was so satisfying without feeling overly heavy afterward.
