There was no wait and we were seated right away Monday evening. It did take a while for the food to come out though. I got the beef tofu soup and it was very savory. I like that they give you a lot of beef and tofu. I got mild which wasn't too spicy for me at all and still had a kick. The sides were also good. I liked the tteokbokki that came with the fish cakes. The staff was also very attentive and would ask if we needed anything.

Rating: 9/10 Third time trying It's Tofu this is officially my go-to now. Better than BCD. Banchan was all very fresh and well-prepared. The fried fish is great. Hot, crispy skin with flaky meat. LA galbi was solid, good flavor and portion. The pork tofu soup (ordered spicy) had a real kick. I usually go medium, but spicy was still enjoyable. Broth was rich and satisfying. Overall, super consistent across visits. Quality, fresh, and great service.

This place is called Its Tofu, but the braised cod fish dish is bussin!!! It must be an insider item because most tables were enjoying it. The sauce is savory, fish is flakey, radish is a nice touch.. this dish is way easy to eat. Great to share among 2-3 people. Bonus points for friendly service and clean establishment! Really enjoyed our experience.

Can't wait to come here again ! The fish was the super crispy, which is exactly how it should be. The galbi (short ribs) came out steaming hot and perfectly seasoned If you're looking for a solid Korean spot with great portions and quality, this is it!

This is the spot for casual comfort Korean food with sundubu as the main dish and a variety of combination options to choose from. Highly recommend the stone pot bibimbap or the cold noodle. Best part is after multiple visits trying different dishes, the food is consistently delicious and staff always gives great service. The restaurant seating is limited and can get busy on weekend during meal times so best to get on Yelp waitlist on your way there

Very good food and service and ambiance. Delicious tofu soup, raw crab, and short rib.

Crab Miso

I like It's Tofu better than BCD, haha. In my opinion, the best flavor is the Crab Miso soondubu. The inside is really clean, service is really fast, and the banchan selection is great and they come in generous portions. While it is a bit pricier than other places, it's worth it just for the Crab Miso.

Everyone in the family loves it:) Seafood pancake & bibimbap for carbs Soft tofu -- even kid-friendly tofu meals Hot short rib & dumpling soup for the older generation Great value :) Free banchan is always a win This spot even serves freshly fried croaker as banchan Plus stone pot rice -- and they help turn it into congee Perfect for any SoCal weather:) Hot days? Cold noodles Cool nights? Ginseng chicken with big ginseng & abalone It's Tofu truly represents SoCal's love for classic Korean comfort food. IG: socalhkfoodies

The food is great!!! I highly recommend this restaurant. Everything was fresh and flavorful, and the service was friendly.

Combination: spicy marinated pork and pork and kimchi soondooboo jjigae

Tried this for the first time and it was really good. I had the pork and kimchi soondooboo with spicy marinated pork combination. From the side dishes to the main, everything tasted really good. There was good amount of seating and plenty of parking. Despite it being really busy, the server maintained to provide friendly service. Will be back for more.

Its Tofu is a cozy, no frills spot that nails your favorite Korean comfort foods. A quintessential soondubu joint, they're reliable, consistent, and offer a diverse menu. There's usually a wait lately (they've been discovered), but thankfully, they use the Yelp waitlist so you can show up just in time for seating. The banchan spread features your usuals like japchae, kimchi, and small fried croaker with occasional surprise guests like their creamy pumpkin salad. It's all refillable as long as everyone orders a dish. But R.I.P. to the delicious pajeon they used to include as banchan. On to the stars! First, the tofu soup is served sizzling and hot enough to fog your glasses, but what stands out is the depth of flavor. My favorites are the wild sesame with its earthy, nutty taste (get it no spice for the full experience) and the oyster seaweed with its silky seaweed and tender oyster combo. Their hot stone pot bimbimbaps also always satisfies, packed with a ton of generously seasoned vegetables, the aroma of sesame oil, and your choice of protein like Bulgogi, Spicy Baby Octopus, and Gondre. I love the Gondre because the thick, mountain greens are hearty and delicious, and instead of gochujang, they use an addictive salty chili sauce. Special shout-out to their Naengmyeong (cold vinegar noodles) and L.A. Galbi (sweet and savory bone-in short ribs), which are both drool-worthy. The Naengmyeong here has nice thin, chewy noodles with a clean tang for a crazy refreshing punch. And the L.A. Galbi is so flavorful, chewy and tender and balances the sweet and savory notes beautifully. Service is quick, portions are generous, and while the prices are the mid-high range, you get enough food to share or to have delicious leftovers. The real problem is deciding on which dish to get! But if you're at a loss, you can always order one of their great value combo meals. TLDR: if you're craving Korean comfort food, Its Tofu is the perfect place to warm up your soul and fill up your belly all in one go.

Got the spicy octopus hotpot and beef kimchi soondoobu. The side dishes are amazing, service is quick, and it is so good!

High quality Korean tofu soup here! There was a small wait for a Monday during lunch on Presidents' Day but not bad. I got the veggie soup and the soup base was delicious and flavorful. I wish there were more veggies in the soup but they were very generous with the tofu. The bonchan were also really good quality as well. Service was good and food came out fast.

The best Korean food I've ever had. The galbi was the most tender food I've tasted. The tofu soup was very fluffy and flavorful

Hi, we have a group with varied diets. Could you list what you have that's vegetarian and what you have that's vegan? Can't tell from the menu (e.g. the vegetarian soup might still have meat broth).

Our menu for vegetarian includes Vegetable Soft Tofu Stew and Tofu Bibimbap.

What's in the dumplings? The menu doesn't say. Beef? Fish? Veggies?

It has pork tofu egg leek and some veggie. Thanks

They also have a monthly special where the deluxe menu is buy one get one free with purchase of a drink. Score! We came today for dinner, and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Our family favorites are all their thin sliced meats, and there were many different options today. Beef belly wins our absolute favorite. Our favorite appetizer is their chicken karage, SO good. We made reservations at 5 (when they open), and everything was so fresh and tasty. Save room for their ice cream! I see many wait in line to get seconds. Sometimes it's the little things that stand out in a restaurant, like a sweet treat after. Also their service is always friendly. Will definitely be back again!

I've been trying to get here for a while and finally had the chance, so I made a reservation directly through the restaurant's Yelp page and even received a confirmation. We showed up excited... only to find out they're closed on Mondays. You can imagine the disappointment on my family's faces--and yeah, I was pretty embarrassed, thinking I had messed something up. But I didn't. If a restaurant is closed on certain days, their reservation system shouldn't allow bookings or send confirmations for those days. We never even made it inside, so I can't comment on the food--but this was a frustrating first impression and something they really need to fix.

Swung by San Clemente with couple of friends and went to this cool spot called Heritage barbecue…read more It is right in the heart of their downtown district. As usual, I ordered a little bit of everything and was not disappointed. I really enjoyed the brisket and the sides that came with it. It's also great that they have a little bar on the side where you can order your selections. Don't be fooled by what you see online when they say it's all sold out. There is stuff that's still there when you walk in and is available. First off service was great. They take the time at the cash to explain to you what everything is and you get a chance to see how much you've ordered and if it's not enough, you can add right away. Once that is done there is a person that seats You and gives you a table there's also a bar on the side where you can order your own drinks. I would definitely choose a beer to go along with the barbeque. Once everything arrives and dick in you notice just how good everything is brisket was the number one star for everyone at our table. The decor is nice. You're sitting in an outdoor area with a lot of shade and they also has this kind of rustic look. Next time I'm in San Clemente I would definitely go back and have another bite.

TLDR: It's another shot at breaking the glass ceiling of Texas BBQ within California. Although the…read moreline may suggest that this place hits (or even cracks) the clear barrier, I feel that it fails to hit that mark. Brisket: Smokey, salty, meaty, and occasionally fatty. It's everything you want in a brisket. Is it the best? No. Is it the softest? No. Does it taste unique? No. It's another brisket in the mountain of restaurants that claim that they've successfully brought Texas BBQ to California. You get it because brisket has found itself as a pillar within the wave of artisan Texas BBQ, but I'd had at least 3 that are better. Tri-tip: Maybe we got an older batch, but it was on the dryer end. I had a hard time differentiating the taste of this, compared to the other meats that we got, something that I didn't have a problem with when ordering tri-tip elsewhere. Pork Ribs: I've been lucky to have never had a bad rib from establishments that give a damn and that streak continues here. The decision of making a spare rib that isn't fall off the bone is respected, as the meat is soft once you bite it off the bone. Pulled Pork Sando: Knee jerk reaction.... It tasted like Pork Adobo. Upon further mulling and consideration...... It's good Pork Adobo. Mac n' Cheese: It's the best Mac n' Cheese in a Texas BBQ spot that I've had. I love how the noodle, sauce, and panko breadcrumbs complemented each other. I thought the watery cheese sauce was gonna give me an ick, but the taste was good and shook off the negative thoughts. Ambiance: It's good outdoor dining. The area is a quiet and "posh" neighborhood, so you don't really get the drawbacks of eating outside. The non-city nature of the region also provides this sense of calmness within the location. Service: The line will be long, but the employees have a good process. Order taker rings you up, "pitmaster" (who really just cuts the meat for you) proves you got what you ordered, and you're seated after you pay.

Oh the timing. Just when I finally get this written out to post, it turns out that Frank's BBQ &…read moreNoodles has come and gone. Not that I can say I'm all that surprised in hindsight, but it's still kind of a shame. Mostly because I just wish the food had been better, but also because, despite how impressive the OC food scene is, I hadn't come across any BBQ joints/Cantonese restaurants that SF has so many of until randomly stumbling across this place! Then again, maybe I've just been too distracted by the many Taiwanese options that the Bay Area is so criminally short on... Compared to some of the Chinese BBQ joints that I frequent in the Bay Area, this place felt so much newer and a whole lot cleaner/nicer. That said, while the menu appeared to be a whole lot narrower, they still had a decent selection of offerings to choose from. Along with their nearly twenty different sides/snack dishes, which include items like pig ears with chili sauce, cucumber salad, chicken wings, wontons in chili oil, and tofu skin salad, they also had BBQ meats, like Roasted Duck, Soy Sauce Chicken, and Char Siu, a mix of rice and noodle dishes, and combination plates of their BBQ meats over rice or noodles. Sadly, though, no crispy skin roast pork, which was a huge bummer. -- SWEET FRIED CORN Admittedly, this initially didn't catch my eye, but I'm glad we ended up trying it. Every piece was crispy and I liked how sweet and flavorful the corn was. Plus, it was how this wasn't all that oily, though, I wouldn't have minded a bit more batter for some added crunch. -- WONTONS IN CHILI OIL Not too shabby. Although the skins felt a little overcooked, each piece was fairly plump and I thought the filling was pretty tasty. It was also unexpected to see a bit of broth with the chili oil, but it had a nice flavor to it and just the right amount of spice. -- TWO BBQ ITEM RICE PLATE with Char Siu and Roasted Duck I was the most excited for this, but it left me feeling conflicted. On the plus side, the bowl had a fair amount of both meats and the duck was really good - really juicy and the skin was golden brown. On the other hand, the char siu was super fatty and the rice was mushy. -- DICED GROUND PORK ON RICE...$13.99 More solid than spectacular, but still satisfying enough. Like with the BBQ plate, the meat to rice ratio favored the former and I thought the egg and the veggies complemented this well. At the same time, I wish this had more sauce to it, as the pork look a little dry/pale. In addition to how convenient it was to come here (there was a steady crowd, but it never got packed inside), I appreciated how fast our food came out. Also, I'm not sure if we just got lucky, but it wasn't nearly as hard to find a space in the complex's parking lot as it seemed it would be. Between all of that, the food being decent, and the relatively friendly service, Frank's BBQ & Noodles wasn't bad for some Chinese BBQ. However, it definitely could've been better, especially if Roast Pork had been one of their offerings!

Some things are hit and miss. I will say Idk if their ice machine just wasn't working the day I went. They gave room temperature water which is fine but their cold noodles were also served with room temperature which took away from it being a refreshing dish. Skip the abalone because I can tell it wasn't fresh and it was a bit rubbery. Jellyfish salad is always bomb! Their eggplant BBQ is perfection too. The dining area was noticeably cold, and the temperature didn't appear adjusted for the low occupancy. This became more obvious as the food arrived, since everything cooled down quickly. Even with metal warming trays, the dishes struggled to retain heat, and once barbecue items turn lukewarm, both texture and flavour decline noticeably. Across the meats, there was a surprising lack of differentiation in marination. The lamb skewers, beef tongue, and other grilled items all seemed to share the same base seasoning, with only the sauces changing to distinguish them. The lamb skewers themselves were very lean, cut into uniform blocks that looked tidy but lacked richness and the expected fatty depth that gives lamb its aroma and juiciness. The beef tongue was slightly more enjoyable, but still arrived lukewarm, which dulled its texture and impact. The signature chicken wings were slightly dry, with a sauce that didn't add much dimension. The grilled scallop dish was the most disappointing--mostly vermicelli with only a minimal amount of scallop, leaving it dry and lacking substance. That said, the highlight of the night was unexpectedly the fried chicken skin chicharrón. Crisp, airy, and indulgently fatty, it delivered exactly what the rest of the meal was missing--heat, texture, and unapologetic flavour. I didn't explore much beyond the barbecue items and a few appetizers, as the consistency already raised questions about the rest of the menu. The meal ended up being mostly cold beer paired with lukewarm meats and limited service attention. Even getting staff attention for drinks required effort. Overall, the experience felt flat and underpowered--especially because the core dishes never held temperature or distinction long enough to build impact, with the exception of a single standout in the fried chicken skin.
