We stopped by on a lively Saturday evening, and service was efficient and attentive throughout our meal. **Fried Mandu: 4/5** Deep-fried until golden-brown, the mandu had crisp edges that gave each bite a satisfying crunch. Served with a sweet and tangy soy dipping sauce, its acidity complemented the savory filling. **Tteokbokki: 3.5/5** A popular Korean street food, the tteokbokki came with generous portions of soft and bouncy rice cakes, along with fish cakes that provided umami depth and brisket that was exceptionally tender and fatty. While the sauce was a little too sweet for my preference, the addition of mozzarella cheese offset some of its intensity and added a layer of gooey richness. **Gochu Maneul Chicken: 3/5** Coated in a sticky, sweet and spicy chili garlic sauce, the chicken was incredibly crunchy and topped with sliced green chili peppers for an extra kick. Unfortunately, the amount of glaze was somewhat lacking, and a few pieces were also slightly dry. **Corn Cheese Buldak: 5/5** Creamy, sweet, and fiery all at once, this combination struck a perfect flavor balance, with the cheese, mayo, and corn mellowing out the heat of the buldak sauce. Tried new items this time- seafood pancake and the squid/pork bulgogi The seafood pancake is heavyyy on chives and very light on batter. It's a lot smaller than other seafood pancakes I've had so I probably won't get it again here. But still tasty. The squid and pork bulgogi was yummy though! Wish there was more squid and pork but it was pretty heavy on the cabbage. Service is good/standard and ambiance is still nice! Will still return to try more dishes!
First time at Hanshin and it was a great experience! We had a group of around ~12 people and were celebrating one of our friend's birthdays. They give the birthday person a free soju bottle and the only requirement is that you take a photo/video of them drinking and post it on your social media! Food was also great and I liked the combos that they offered. We got Combo A which had the spicy chicken feet (it was pretty spicy) and then also added on a tofu soup. Service was fast and friendly, and they came to check on us often. Overall had a good experience and would come back again!
I ordered Stir fried Udon with Brisket and vegetables. My dish was delicious and flavorful. The service was amazing. Ambiance was nice and clean. I loved the music playing in the background while dining here. Highly recommend.
Hanshin Pocha is a fun spot in Irvine for Korean food and beer. The ambiance and decor is probably the best part. The menu has a lot of good options to choose from too. I usually end up ordering one of the fried chicken options. Price point is reasonable, food quality is good, and service is A-OK. If you're in the area, I'd say this place is definitely worth checking out, but I'm not sure I'd go out of my way for it.
I come here to get tasty korean dishes and drink soju late into the night. I always get the fried squid and the egg omelet, plus whatever else looks good to me. I will keep coming back.
Great pocha in Irvine! This place is very neat and orderly, one of the cleanest pochas I've ever been to. We were seated and served relatively quickly. The food was delicious even while sober! We got the Gochu Maneul chicken and whole grilled squid. The chicken has an exceptionally crispy outer and was packed with a lot of flavor. The squid was good, nothing special to note. Seems like this place has large seating capacity. I would highly recommend this place for those in the area looking to have a quick bite or host a late night get-together!

Came to Hanshin Pocha for late night drinks and bites and it is such a cozy spot with a fun, laid-back vibe that's perfect for hanging out with friends. A bonus that there's always quick service here too, our first dish came out within 7 minutes of ordering. We ordered a few dishes to share. The Seafood chive pancake had great flavor, but not as crispy as I was hoping. It leaned a bit mushy in texture. The Stir-fried udon with brisket noodles were bouncy and chewy, which I loved. Super satisfying. The Gochu Maneul chicken was crispy with a nice tart marinade that really stood out. My only wish is that they offered just wings or drumsticks instead of a whole chopped chicken. The Pork and squid bulgogi stir fry tasted spicy and packed with flavor, with generous portions of pork and squid. It was delicious but wish it weren't soaked in oil. Overall, a solid late-night Korean pocha experience. Great spot for drinks, shareable plates, and catching up. Would come back for the vibes and that chicken.

Service was excellent; the servers checked in often for water and napkins, and they even threw in a free bottle of soju, which was a nice surprise. Food: Sweet & Spicy Chicken - I was expecting wings, but it came out as a whole chicken! It was incredibly crispy, and the sauce paired perfectly with it. The chicken stayed crispy throughout the night, and the sauce wasn't overly sweet or spicy, which I really appreciated. Pork & Squid Bulgogi - This was the star of the night. Super flavorful with a great char and smoky flavor on the cabbage, onions, pork, and squid. Everything was coated in a rich sauce, and it all came together really well. Everyone in our group agreed this was the best dish of the night. Beef Tofu Soup - A solid tofu soup with a good amount of tofu and beef. My only wish is that it came with rice since it's served as just the soup. Kimchi Fried Rice - Unfortunately, this was the only miss. I loved the presentation with the melted cheese, but the flavor fell flat. It lacked that distinct kimchi taste I was expecting. Overall, will be coming back. I love Korean bar/food spots and finally don't have to drive to garden grove for one !

The Korean fried chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and covered in a delicious sweet and spicy sauce. The cheesy ramen was probably one of my favorites -- creamy, spicy, cheesy, and so comforting. The rice ball with seaweed and mayo was also the perfect thing to eat with the spicy dishes. Portions were great for sharing, and everything came out looking and tasting amazing. Definitely a great spot if you love Korean comfort food and spicy food. We'll definitely be coming back!

Hanshin Pocha Irvine is good! I had a great experience. The servers were attentive and quick with getting our order in. I came here on a Saturday night and had a lot of fun with my friends. Stopped here for a quick bite to eat with my sister after spending some time at the Irvine Spectrum and I'm glad I went! We were seated right away and it was very efficient to order/call your server over with push of a button (literally on the table). Not all menu items were available but for the most part they were and it was really good! I tried out their newer dish, a bulgogi bowl, and I just had to try their chicken and cheese dish (so sorry the name is escaping me but I grabbed a pic!). The cheese pull was so satisfying. My sister ordered the Tteok-bokki and absolutely killed her entire bowl. She barely wanted to share but for valid reasons. If you're ever in Irvine stop by this place! read more

This place is located in a quiet Irvine shopping center. It has a great nice ambiance and great food. The service was fast and friendly. We ordered the whole chicken and it was cooked very well with the right enough breaded crunch. The clam and mussels soup was the perfect combination to warm up our meal. Came back with my friends for a night out with yummy food and our server, Sean, made our experience so much better! Our group of 4 shared the Cheese Pork BBQ, Kimchi Jeongol, Stir-fried Udon with Brisket, and Gochu Maneul Chicken. We finished it CLEAN with only one chicken left! Everything was delicious and even better with the deals they offer with the drinks here! Our service with Sean was amazing! He was so attentive and got us everything we needed. Can't wait to come back! This pocha is always a guaranteed good eats. read more
Is it possible to find comfort in an Irvine k-bar aka pocha ? Who am I? A mom, who finally gained the freedom from kids who don't scream or want mommy all day. I can go out now with my other free single friends and free moms who literally just wanna eat really good comforting Asian food, have sips of something tingly and eat in a way I don't have to serve someone else except for myself. Rosé Toppoki hits the spot, that whole fried chicken they break apart tableside was crispy with a hint of lemon, enjoying fried dumplings on sizzling platter of corn cheese and slurping without judge boiling pot of ramen tofu beef stew while burning my tongue and lastly making somek to drink everything down. Love the ambiance because you can be locked into your own group, be kinda loud and sing along to kpop music playing throughout the restaurant and stay up till midnight. Service is 100% just because they have the call button! Love that service button. read more

Whenever I visit this place I am always reminded about eating street food in Korea. The theme was to be like eating and drinking on those street tents. They have K-pop playing in the background. We ordered fried chicken, chicken gizzards, and some DIY rice balls. The chicken was crispy and tasty. The staff did offer to have the chicken broken down before we ate it. The sautéed chicken gizzard was flavorful. And it was fun to make our own rice balls. Super hands on eating experience. read more
Hanshin Pocha serves Korean bar food and opens late for Irvine. There is plenty of parking in this shopping center and you get to watch Kpop MVs while eating dinner. The service was good and you push a button on the table to get the staff's attention. The restaurant is spacious and you can get on the Yelp Waitlist to reserve a spot. It's always fun to make the diy rice balls by mixing all the ingredients up and making it into bite size balls. They give you a glove so your hand doesn't get dirty. The grilled intestines dish is very flavorful and garlicky. It's one of our favorite dishes here. The fried chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. They give you an entire chicken. The flavor is a bit lacking even with the pepper and salt mix they give you but it tastes delicious if you dip it in the grilled intestines sauce. read more

Amazing korean pub with delicious food. These fried chickens are my favorite along with the grilled squid which is my go-to! The service was quick, attentive, and fast! My family was craving Korean food, so we decided to check out the Hanshin Pocha location in Irvine! This is my first time being in this plaza, but there was a lot of parking and easy to navigate to find the restaurant. Hanshin Pocha has a pretty big menu that offers drinking Korean dishes! The atmosphere is also perfect for a night out with friends. The music wasn't loud, so family dinner also works well! My family decided to ordered a variety of dishes like the seafood stew, the spicy chicken with cheese, fried whole squid, and soy glazed Korean fried chicken! All the dishes were seasoned perfectly! My favorite was the fried squid, which was huge! I love how crunchy it was! The portion for each dish was so generous! We had left over to bring home for the next day! Service and staff were so friendly! They were super attentive and the food came out fast! Hanshin Pocha is a solid spot to get Korean food if you happen to be in the area! read more

This is a good restaurant for those who enjoy Korean food. The atmosphere is very casual. We ordered bunch of different things but since most were spicy I could only enjoy the kimchi rice, the chicken which were both very good. Also the shrimp with veggies was ok. Not much taste in it but different. The beer prices were kind of high compare to other and more fancier restaurants. As for service, they were average since I had to put empty plates together myself and call them to pick it up to open more space on our table. read more
Good place to come to with a big group of people as their dishes are all family style. Their fried chicken was alright, the non saucy one was definitely better and more crispy than the sauced up one. We really liked their kimchi fried rice and how it comes on the platter with cheese. We saw a lot of other tables ordering a soup/hot pot style dish so we may need to come back to try that. read more

Hanshin Pocha is a fun and cozy late night spot to grab food and catch up with friends. The DIY rice balls were interactive and enjoyable, and the boneless fried chicken was a standout, staying tender on the inside and crunchy even later into the meal. The cheese pork BBQ was really good at the beginning, but as dinner went on the cheese cooled down quickly and became harder to eat. The tteokbokki was my favorite dish with a slight spice from the gochujang and it doubled perfectly as a dipping sauce for the fried chicken. We went later in the night so it was not very crowded, which made the atmosphere feel relaxed and inviting. One downside was service, since our table of three only received one water pitcher and it ran out about halfway through dinner. If I were able to give half star reviews this would be three and a half stars read more
I've been to other locations of Hanshin Pocha plenty of times, so I was excited to find an Irvine location. We ordered the Boneless Fried Chicken, which was fried perfectly and seasoned well, and the Clam & Mussel Soup, which had good flavor in the broth but very small clams & mussels. Everything was good for the most part. Ambiance was a bit lacking compared to other pochas I've been to. This location felt closer to a family restaurant than a pocha. read more
A fun spot for Korean food in the Irvine area. There's plenty of parking in the shopping center. They have a very fun and trendy atmosphere once you walk through the doors. We were able to get seated fairly quickly for a weekend night. The service is fairly minimal and they rely mostly on the call buttons on the tables. The food came out with decent timing and the portions were on the larger side for most of the dishes. The Kimchi Jeongol was my favorite thing that we ordered. The spice level was moderate and the noodles were a good choice. They added to the overall experience of the dish and made dish even better. It was enough food for about 3 meals and I added more noodles to it after I took it home. The donkatsu was crispy but wasn't as exciting in flavor. The price is on the higher end for the food, but it was still an enjoyable experience and the food was decent. read more

We wanted to try out a new Korean spot for my friends birthday. We went on a Sunday at 1:30pm and place was empty aside from 1 other table. The restaurant was new and modern. We ordered Shrimp fried rice, japchae, sweet and spicy fried chicken, bulgogi and the seafood chive pancake. Our favorite is the sweet and spicy fried chicken. It was crispy, sweet and just a bit of a kick. It was very good. Second fave is the japchae with flavorful and chewy noodles. Yum! The rest of our order was just ok. There was only 1 server and we had to look from her to get our bill. But she was friendly and nice. We would like to come back and try other items in the menu. Parking is great since this spot in located in a plaza. read more
Food Highlights: The Donkatsu (Pork Cutlet) is my favorite entree on the menu. Very flaky and crisp on the outside, but tender on the inside. It also comes with a good portion of salad, rice and fries. The corn cheese comes in a stone pot and has multiple dimensions of umami and savory in each bite. A great side to share with friends. The remainder of our food came out excellent, nothing overdone and seasoned well. Service: I am a fan of the signaling devices they have at every table. Our serving did a great job checking in between button presses, but the response time was so quick! Ambiance: I've come mostly at night and the vibe is very modern / night club / futuristic which I am all for. A good place for a night out with friends and plenty of parking on the plaza for everyone. read more
Located in the plaza at Quail Hill. They have some outdoor seating as well, which is nice. There's plenty of parking spots available. Went on a Friday night to meet up with friends. It was still pretty empty at 7pm but quickly filled up closer to 8pm. They have a ringer on each table, which makes ordering very convenient. The staff is very attentive as well. They have plenty of choices to choose from. We ordered several dishes and they were all really good. They have great combos for food and drinks. Their fried chicken seemed popular, will definitely try it next time. Loved the mussel soup and deep fried squid. Those were my 2 favorite dishes. read more
