Hands down the top 1 pizza spot in SoCal. We come there often when driving by to Dana point or San Diego and get the cheese pizza and the Bee pizza. If you are not in the mood for pizza they also offer very good salads and also my favorite is the aBeef & Cheese Short Rib sandwich and fried potatoes which is amazing and highly recommended. The sandwich is the best short rib that I ever had and its crispy bread is to die for. Just wow. Customer service and all employees are amazing and always smiling which is nice to see. read more

Pizza was delicious - we tried the Bee Sting and the pepperoni with pineapple added. Tutta la Casa salad was good, and it's a $4 upcharge if you want it with the lunch combo. Have to deduct half a star for a few things - 1) we had to remind our server about the salad, and by the time it arrived we were halfway through the pizza; 2) no soap left in the restroom, which is especially needed after eating a very oily pizza!; 3) server brought leftovers in a box that was soaked on the bottom and literally dripping water - assuming she had it resting on a puddle and totally fine if it's an accident, but she seemed a little irritated when we asked for a new box: 4) payment is done via a tableside machine and they don't show you the itemized bill to check if everything is correct - the total sounded about right so I let it go, but I prefer at least a glance before handing over my card. All minor things, and I think they may have been short-staffed as it was pretty busy for a Tuesday lunch. Would still come back to try more of their pizzas! read more

We then had a garden party pizza (added spicy pineapple and sausage and switched to the smoked mozzarella cheese) absolutely scrumptious! Susie was very kind and cheery. The bee sting (10/10): the crust was perfectly crispy, pepperoni had the perfect shape and crunch, and the burrata + basil + hot honey was an elite combo Stingray (8.5/10): loveddddd the carmelized onions. Ordered ahead on my phone before they even opened, and the staff knew we were waiting in the car. They went out of their way to bring the order out to us, which was a very thoughtful touch. Yum! This is the first time that we actually ate our pizza in the restaurant. It's cute. It's also extremely busy and popular. We suggest going on off hours or just waiting. We were sat immediately on a Saturday Afternoon, our server was so friendly and conversational, the outdoor seating is comfortable and you get some ocean breeze. The pizza though wow, we were able to do half and half of 2 kinds (as long as they have the same sauce!) which is amazing since every option of flavor combinations is mouthwatering. The crust was perfect, the structure, the sauce and ingredients were all top tier. I've been thinking about it ever since!! We can't wait to return. We ordered the Philly's pizza and it took about 25 minutes to get to the table which was not too much of a surprise considering how busy the place was. Susie was our server and was very lovely throughout the evening! However, the quality overall of the pizza tasted okay at best. The slices were burned, so at most I can give a 3/5...Susie was very kind and offered to make us another pizza to-go, so that is definitely to note! But we were so hungry that we ate it anyway lol and we did not want to wait any longer. The presentation was also a 2/5 at most. Unfortunately, I would not stop by again. read more

Went here for the first time last week. Went again last night. This pizza is fantastic. I enjoy the flavor combinations. Favorite: Bee Sting: burrata and basil mixed with a hot honey. Just great. Light and refreshing. Stingray: Pepperoni, honey, caramelized onions - more complex flavor. Nice change from Bee Sting. Vampire: heavy on the garlic smell. Not overly garlic on the taste - which makes it more enjoyable. I would go without the salami next time. Zucchini chips: unlike any preparation I have had. Very thinly sliced zucchini fried in canola and olive oil. It almost melts in your hands. This place is a well oiled machine. Plenty of TVs. Outdoor seating. Apizza Doho is a medium footprint, Italian pizza focused restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating on PCH in Dana Point. It is a major local favorite so be prepared to wait! They only take reservations for large parties so it is walk up. The parking lot is an absolute nightmare so drive carefully or plan a rideshare! The food at Apozza Doho is fresh and tasty. I adore their Caesar salad, which has more of that vinaigrette Caesar dressing rather than that thick creamy style. They have good drink options and their service is as quick as it can be for a made to order pizza business. They do not offer gluten-free crust options so don't come here expecting a pizza if you have an allergy! And they do a lot of takeout and delivery business so feel free to order from home. The restaurant is noisy idoors and outdoors, has some TVs with sports on, has a casual, energetic vibe, and is great for families and more fun date nights alike. I wanted to order a pizza in Dana Point to watch the sunset nearby and found APizza Doho when I was searching on Yelp and so glad I did! We ordered The Bee Sting pizza and we loved it! I loved how they packed the Burrata separately for to-go orders. The flavor was amazing and we really enjoyed it and would get it again, although we want to try other pizzas. We also got the Zucchini Chips - such incredible flavors but the only bad thing is that when you get it in to to-go boxes, they become soft and not crunchy. All the buzz about a new pizza shop in town being one of the best in the nation and I think this place has that one beat hands down! The shop is a relaxed family vibe with cooks throwing dough and making the pizzas right in site. The dough is perfect and the toppings are fresh and delish! This was a top 3 pizza spot for us. We ordered a large pizza (15 inches) half bee sting, half hwy 1. We were full after and had around 3 slices leftover! We definetly could've gone with the lunch special which was 11 inches and a side salad. We chose to do the large so we could do the half half pizza. The half bee sting was so delicious. Cozy restaurant with good service. Did not have to wait long and everyone is super friendly. The restaurant is not big but the food is very good. The calamari is tender and flavorful. We got the extra Marinara Sauce and it's great. The normal spicy mayo sauce is very good too but I loved the variety. The pizza is pretty big and is very tasty. However I like my crust a little bit more crispy so next time I'll ask them to cook it slightly longer. The toppings are generous and overall very good value for what you get. I highly recommend this place. Parking is available along the street and in the parking lot behind the restaurant. May have limited parking during the weekend so go early. read more
