This place is a gem! The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked and most important to me is authenticity. I'm Thai so my expectations are high when it comes to Thai food and this place did not disappoint. Great portions and everything came out fast. So many varieties- I don't see this many options on the menu anywhere else. Service was friendly and attentive, and the overall vibe was welcoming. Definitely one of the better Thai spots I've tried--I'll be back!
Finally was able to stop by to try breakfast here with a friend. It was empty on a Wednesday morning and much easier than trying to get a seat on the weekend. Cute spot- decor was a little busy. Service was OK. When we asked for recommendations, all she said was everything is great and look at the pictures. Also disappointed that they didn't have lattes and only black coffee. Food was great. We shared a Thai basil omelette and a sweet option, which was the French toast crème brûlée. I would absolutely recommend the Thai basil omelette. It's something I can literally eat every single day. It felt so flavorful and filling. The French toast was a little overwhelming and had too much sauce. Overall was excellent. I would probably come back for more of the Thai food than the breakfast food.
Came here to have lunch with friends. Decided this location because it seems cute and the menu selections seems unique and avante guard with some Thai typical dishes. The staff is friendly and food comes out quick. We ordered their cocktails which are really yummy . The songkrang and the cucumber cocktail. For appetizers we shared the fried crab rolls and the shrimp donuts. Both are crisp, flavorful and fun to eat! For our mains we ordered the Thai bomb omelette, the fried fish egg Benedict and the northern Thai sausage plate with sticky rice. Food came out well decorated for the eyes and smells devine. I had a coconut espresso to go and it really hit the spot. I will come back to try other dishes such a their Khow soi noodles.
Welcome to Irvine! This place is the whole package. Easy parking, super friendly staff, and bright, casual space. The food...well, come hungry and try as many things as you can. I came here a couple times and these are the only pics I could get because we dove right in! So far my favorite is the crab fried rice. The flavor combination just hits you. I have no idea what the green sauce was but it was a perfect condiment for this dish. I kind of love fried chicken and have been told that I eat too much of it. This fried chicken was seasoned to perfection, the batter was not too thick, & it was perfectly crispy. I am already looking forward to coming back to try brunch!
I came here for brunch on Easter Sunday. We waited less than 15mins to get seated even though it seemed busy. We all ordered brunch foods, even though the menu also has a good variety of Thai dishes as well. We also got an order of the soufflé pancakes to share, which was the highlight of the meal for me. The pancakes were light and fluffy, and were topped with whipped cream and a delicious strawberry sauce. I ordered the smoked salmon benedict for my main, which came with potatoes and salad. The flavors were good and I liked the variety of ingredients used in the dishes! Everyone else at my table also said they enjoyed their meal. It was a bit hard to get attention from the waiters, as it seems they are a bit understaffed and it was quite busy. Our table was missing condiments, and we couldn't get the waiters attention to bring us some, so we ended up just borrowing them from an empty table. Not ideal, but we didn't want to bother them too much. I enjoyed the food here a lot, so hopefully I'll have the chance to come back and try some different dishes in the future!
I wanted to try something new for lunch and decided to give this restaurant a try as it has been on my bucket list for some time. This is a very unique Thai fusion restaurant and a few friends have recommended going there. I placed an online order and ordered the holy chili bomb basil omelette, which is essentially pad ka prao filling in the omelette. I am not big on omelettes, but I do love pad ka prao. The pad ka prao was a bit on the sweeter side. I like my pad ka prao more savory than sweet, but the flavor was good. I like that it is paired with some roasted potatoes. I am not too fond of the bread, which is like a French toast texture minus the sweet maple syrup and cinnamon. I wish I was served with a Thai chili fish sauce for the omelette. My order was ready within the time it promised me. It was packed with utensils and napkins when I went to pick it up. From what I saw while waiting, the restaurant is small but cute. I appreciate the Thai-inspired artwork on the walls.
Loved this place! The menu felt like it was the Cheesecake Factory menu haha there's just sooo many options. Luckily we did our research and knew what we wanted beforehand. We made a reservation for 10 am on a Saturday morning and it wasn't packed yet but by the time we left all of the tables were full. We literally ordered everything off the menu and everything was so good. Definitely shareable plates. My favorites were probably the soufflé pancakes and the holy bomb chili omelette. Looking forward to coming back!
I met a friend here for a lunch meeting, and while waiting for her, I decided to order the crab fried rice. The portion was generous and came with a green sauce that paired perfectly with the rice. The lump crab meat was sweet, fresh, and absolutely delicious. It's easily enough for 2-3 servings, and I highly recommend this dish. I can't wait to come back and try more items on the menu.
i came here for a sunday brunch with my cousin, and everything we got here was so good!!! the portion sizes were huge and great for sharing, so definitely come hungry! - Holy Chili Bomb Basil Omelette: i can't believe i've never come across this creation anywhere else because it is literally so good. great flavor from the beef & veggie combo that paired well with the soft egg omelette! i thought the name was cute and funny too hehe - Make it Rice / Jumbo Crab Meat: it is literally in the name, but the crab meat pieces were huge and yummy! this rice was also flavored really well, and the sauce on the side has a great tanginess to balance the richness of the fried rice. - Khao Soi Soft Shell Crab: really good and standard khao soi! the pickled veggies are a great contrast to the richness of the soup. the crab was fried perfectly crispy! - Lychee Pleasesy: a yummy lychee tea, no issues with it! overall, this was a really good thai brunch spot! it was pretty crowded when i came, and wait was still about 15-20 mins for my party of 2, so be prepared to wait! i think it was definitely worth it though, and i would for sure come back to try the other dishes!
This place definitely feels like one of the more pricier Thai options in the area, but it's a pretty solid choice in quality. The kitchen seems small and they didn't have a lot of staff on hand when we went, so expect possible slower service than other places. Everyone was friendly though. We went for brunch and ordered: - pandan sweet tea: the pandan was way too subtle and light... Wouldn't recommend this - creme brulee french toast: this was okay. The creme brulee flavor didn't really mesh well with the toast for us. Maybe it would have tasted better if the edges of the toast were crispy - crispy belly & belly rice: this was pretty good but a bit expensive - soft shell crab: the texture of the crab was perfectly crunchy. It comes with a lot of sauce which was a bit on the salty side though The look of the restaurant is very bright and fun with all the flower decorations, but they were playing club music in the background which is quite a choice with the two conflicting vibes... Parking was also pretty easy when we went.
Ok this is one solid restaurant. The service, food, atmosphere, and prices were so right. My friend and I dined on a weekday around noon and it wasn't very busy. The waiter was friendly and professional, patiently answering questions we had. When our 4 dishes came out we were so impressed with the portion sizes, presentation, and great flavors. I loved that they weren't too conservative in making their food a little spicier. The sweet, savory, and spicy kick of the apple salad made it so unique and refreshing easily making this my favorite dish. It also came with a gigantic piece of fish. They are not skimping on the fish at all! Only one thing that was a minor detractor from the experience and it was the lack of high chairs. I don't think I've ever gone to a restaurant that doesn't have high chairs.
5* Food 5* Service 5* Ambiance In a prominently developed housing area, this hidden gem opened in October and has made quite a splash. Clean and colorfully decorated with flowers and artwork, this busy eatery is the highlight of the neighborhood. The menu offers many classic dishes (some with a new and flavorful twist) and a few original chef specialties that are vibrant and explosive. As we looked around other tables, the portions for brunch were generous and beautifully presented. Wine, beer and cocktails, along with traditional drinks such as matcha, Thai iced tea, fresh orange juice, and so much more, are on the menu. We ordered the crying tiger and tom yum noodle soup. The crying tiger does not come with rice and I found it more enjoyable once we had rice added to our order. The portion of this particular dish is small, but the quality of the beef is excellent and the flavors of the dressings elevate the dish further. The tom yum noodle soup has fish balls, shrimp, pork and sausage. The flavors are explosive and absolutely delicious. The owner of the restaurant was also present which made our visit even more enjoyable. Great little restaurant packed with flavor.
First time here and it was a mixed experience. The Make It Rice with Jumbo Crab Meat had good flavor, but the crab was minimal and mostly on top. The Crispy Belly wasn't very crispy and was more chewy than expected. The soufflé pancake was the highlight -- fresh, fluffy, and worth the wait, and we appreciated the heads-up about the busy Sunday brunch. The ambiance is beautiful with a flower wall and spring-inspired decor. I'd come back to try other dishes since there are plenty of options on the menu.

A new Thai fusion brunch place in Irvine- love to see it! My family tried it out, not realizing we stumbled upon their grand opening. Pro: major discount! Con: major wait to get seated. Happily, the food was worth the wait, service was friendly, and we anticipate the crowds will even out over time. My husband got the chicken and waffles, which he said was delicious and crispy with a subtle Thai twist. I had the Sai Oua, which involved sausage, sticky rice, and fresh greens. It was fantastic and I would absolutely get it again. Decor is attractive with a springtime floral motif, and parking is ample. As I mentioned, we got an incredible discount because it was their grand opening. The regular prices are a bit high. I will certainly come back, but the price point is what I consider a special treat, not an everyday pick. Great choice for a weekend indulgence. read more
We came here on their grand opening day and they had a 50% off discount to celebrate their opening day. It was pouring rain but the wait was still about 45 minutes for us. The inside decor is really pretty with lots of pretty paintings and floral accents. It was very busy that day so I couldn't take too many pictures, I will definitely come back another day to take more pics! Chicken and Waffles - The chicken was very crispy and flavorful and it came with really big portion of waffle with 2 sauces - a spicy syrup and a maple syrup. Souffle Bacon & Eggs - we got scrambled eggs which they laid over the souffle pancake with bacon layered in between. It was delicious! Souffle Crème Brûlée - the pancakes were soft and fluffy and the crème brûlée sauce had a nice burnt caramel taste to it. There were lots of berries which made the dish very refreshing. It does take 20 minutes for them to make this souffle pancakes. Crispy Belly & Belly Rice - the crispy pork was nicely fried with a fragrant sauce. It made me want to eat it all up. Soft Shell Crab in Karee Sauce - the crab was lightly fried but it was very crispy and the crab was so fresh. The sauce was very flavorful but I was there was roti to go with the dish so we can dip into the sauce. Kinaree House Noodle Soup - lots of ingredients and very good broth Thai Iced Tea - sweet, strong and flavorful Pandan Sweet Tea - there is a hint of the pandan which added flavor profile to the sweet tea They did an amazing job given how busy they were on their grand opening day. Came to check out the new Thai fusion restaurant. The place was busy even tho it was pouring rain. The staff was busy with the grand opening activities. We had to wait for a bit but it was well worth it. We had ordered a few traditional Thai food along with some fusion food. Chicken and waffle was tasty. The chicken perfectly fried and juicy. The soft shell crab curry was flavorful, wish I had the option to pair it with some roti. Crispy pork rice and house noodles reminded me of the street food in Thailand. Finished up with the soufflé pancakes that were fluffy. The portions were generous with Irvine prices. It's a nice place to have some brunch in the Quail Hill plaza. This is a super cute Thai fusion brunch spot - came with a group of girls and we were able to make a reservation in advance. There's American breakfast, Thai food, and fusion food available with lots of options. We ordered family style to share. I'd recommend the fried rice; it was super savory and came with a delicious green sauce that was tangy and had a nice kick. The khao soi was also very flavorful. We also ordered the crème brûlée spiffed pancake. The pancake itself was nice and fluffy and crem brulee sauce was delicious. The soufflé pancakes do take some time to cook, so would recommend ordering it upfront (took an hour for it to cook). read more

This spot is popping! We came around 10:30am and there were already people on the waitlist. The interior is gorgeous! Lots of florals, and if you love the white marble and gold silverware aesthetic, you're going to love this place! Food was good and a bit pricier than your typical Thai spot, but the portion sizes really make up for it. The service could be better, but I understand they are a relatively new restaurant (opened in October 2025) so it's a work in progress. At one point, half of our table received their order and the other half had to wait for an additional 15 minutes to receive it. Also, props to whoever in management thought of printing out a picture menu, because it made me want to order one of each, LOL. Other than that, food was delicious and everything on their menu looked so good. Will definitely be back to try their other dishes (Souffle Pancakes, Tom Yum Hot pot, etc.) || L O C A T I O N / P A R K I N G || -Cross Streets are Sand Canyon Ave. and Quail Hill Parkway -Located in the same plaza as Hanshin Pocha and O Fine Japanese Cuisine -Plenty of parking spots, rarely see the lot full || F O O D || Khao Soi $29 - Love that they have a variety of protein options to choose from. We were feeling fancy so we opted for the rib eye! They give you a decent amount of rib eye and their portions in general were generous. Comforting broth. My friends got the braised beef and said it was good too but after looking at the rib eye one, they said they would get that the next time. If you can't handle spice, make sure to tell them you want it mild. I'm a medium/mild spice person and I thought the standard spice level was acceptable. Braised Pork with Rice $22- If you're looking for a comforting rice dish that's not overly flavorful, this is nice. Def add the green sauce if you want that spicy kick Cucumber Salad - Super refreshing. Recommend to add on the side if you want a palette cleanser between all those flavorful bites Yuzu Butterfly Lemonade $6 - couldn't really taste the yuzu but it looks really pretty with the layers! came to visit kinaree after seeing a few videos about their brunch menu and really enjoyed our experience. it's a smaller establishment with bright and springy decor, perfect for a casual brunch spot. service was extremely nice and it wasn't busy on a monday afternoon. we started out with their coconut pandan and mango sweet cloud drinks and these were so yummy! the coconut pandan was a little bit sweeter than expected, but the drink really highlighted that creamy pandan flavor and the mango sweet cloud was a creamy mango drink with hints of green tea. my boyfriend and i wanted to try one item from their brunch menu as well as one from their regular menu so we ordered the battered fish benedicts and their chu chee with skirt steak. the benedicts were my favorite dish of the meal! came with two big, perfectly crispy, flakey and light battered white fish on soft english muffins and runny poached eggs, covered in a buttery hollandaise sauce with crispy breakfast potatoes and a small salad as well. the chu chee with skirt steak was a well seasoned curry with a slight kick, but i'd recommend trying a different protein as their skirt steak is almost like a smoked or jerky style of steak so some parts were a little chewier than tender, but it still had a great charcoal taste to it. finally we tried their sweet roti with coconut ice cream and this was a simple dessert where the ice cream was very light in flavor and the roti was the standout of the dish, just a soft, deep fried, flakey pastry almost similar in flavor of like funnel cake and garnished with peanuts which added a good nutty flavor to the dish. personally, this dessert can be skipped, but the benedict is a must get! read more

The food tastes exactly like home -- super authentic, rich flavors, and perfectly balanced. Every dish came out fresh and beautifully presented. You can really tell they cook with love. First thing to do when you arrive at the restaurant, put your name down for the waitlist because the waiters are so busy they will not greet you or let you know to do so until multiple people have already added their names. It was hard to get accommodated since they were busy. Also, if you have babies/ toddlers there are no high chairs available, they do have a booster chair, if not bring your stroller for smaller babies. Food- khao soi was delicious, the noodles were al dente and broth was flavorful. The tom yum soup was also flavorful, very tangy and coconut-y flavor. Also want to add that you do get lemongrass chunks in the broth, that was not very delightful. The braised pork leg was tender and flavorful, soy sauce over rice and there's also a green sauce that adds citrusy, sweet and spicy flavor. read more

Customer service was good and the vibe inside the restaurant was nice, but unfortunately, the food was subpar. Our favorite dish was the crispy fish apple salad. The fried fish balanced well with the refreshing apple salad and had a nice spicy kick. Beyond that, the experience went downhill. The fried chicken was decent, but the rice came in a plastic bag (a microplastic nightmare) and hardened almost immediately after being taken out. For dessert, the soufflé pancake was a disappointment. It was dense rather than jiggly and moist, and the strawberry syrup tasted very artificial. For the price and food quality, there are several other Thai spots I'd prefer. I felt duped by IG influencers who definitely overhyped this one. read more

Came in for breakfast with my daughter. The place is really cute. She got the avocado toast and said it was really good. I got the flat noodles and it was really delicious too. I was just happy to be able to order noodles for breakfast. Service was great too. Would definitely recommend and will come back when in the area again. read more
Every time we have tried to grab brunch here, it's been so busy and we couldn't get a table. We finally got in today and were so pleased with everything. The restaurant itself is small, but very nicely decorated. The staff was very attentive and kind. We ordered the fried chicken eggs Benedict and the soufflé pancakes to share. It was a ton of food. Honestly, pics don't do it justice. The portions were way bigger than expected. We finished the eggs benny and only ate half of the pancakes bc we were so full (took the rest to go bc way too good to let go to waste). I normally don't even like soufflé pancakes, but these were perfect. So fluffy and soft. And the fresh made whipped cream was a little salty and paired nicely with the strawberry sauce. The menu all looked amazing. And now we're even more excited to go back to try more items bc of how great the couple we got was! read more
Their brunch menu is excellent and felt refreshingly unique with its Thai-inspired offerings. My friend ordered the fried rice with sausage, and I had the salmon toast--everything was delicious. I loved the cute decor, and the service was prompt and friendly. I'm so glad there's finally a good Thai restaurant in Irvine. Do you like spicy foods? This is your place. For non-spicy eaters, steer clear of the crispy Fish Apple Salad bc the salad is spicier than the mild Khao Soi and less spicy than the medium Khao Soi. And this is legit spiciness, not the watered down version so order at your own risk. I can't eat spicy (no, pepper is not spicy to me) to save my life so yes I died after trying out the salad but quickly ate the fish to recalibrate which is one of the best fried fish I have ever had. Everyone else enjoyed their drinks which varied from matcha (all cold drinks unfortunately) to a yuzu drink which was highly recommended. I would like to return for their desserts but I was stuffed after eating the California Scramble. The best part was having French toast you normally just get plain bread but this was such a nice touch. Would also come back just to try their soufflé pancakes. read more

The dish I got woke my spirit, getting me ready for some home mechanical engineering work. I have to say the service was high-speed, and the dish's flavor was superb. The place got a chill atmosphere with a ghost on the side. I recommend the "khao soi", which can be made super spicy. You won't go out disappointed. read more

Just tried Kinaree after a lot of anticipation and was super disappointed in service. I can understand busy shifts but taking it out on customers is bad form. We were there on a Sunday and it wasn't that busy. One of the waiter was rude and was just bothered by us asking for simple things like an extra napkin or water. We had just gotten the check when this waiter walked up to us silently and held the pay device at me. Actually crazy; didn't ask if things were good, didn't ask if we had wanted anything else, just basically the motion of "pay here and get out." Food was good but unfortunately was spoiled by rough service. Considering the brunch prices, I would skip this place. There are better brunch places around and warmer service experiences for the price point. Green flags: - Pretty decor, very nicely put together - food is good with nice plating, if priced a little high (We got drinks, calamari, khao soi, and soufflé pancakes) - vibes are nice for the most part - lots of parking Beige flags: - Irvine prices so appetizers are in the $15ish range (calamari is very like OK) with most food items being $20-35) red: - nobody checked on us the entire meal (one person got us water) - for the price point, it shouldn't be a "okay we're busy now get out" with annoyed waiters kind of restaurant read more
Came here on a Saturday around 2 pm and there was no wait! I've been dying to try to place. We got the pork rice and khao soi but there were so many things I wanted to try on the menu. The khao soi had good flavoring but the chicken was a little dry and hard to eat with the dish, I'm used to the chicken usually being more tender then what we got. The pork was nice and tender and went well with the rice and picked vegtebles. The inside is so nicely decorated and they have outside seating too. read more

This place is like a whole experience floral ceilings, warm lighting, gold accents, and that food AMAZING!! What a gem of a place. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was absolutely beautiful soft florals cascading from the ceiling, warm lighting, and the most inviting atmosphere. It feels like you've stepped into a little garden escape. The food was delicious flavorful, fresh, and truly authentic. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with taste. But what made it even more special was the heart behind it. The "momma" of the restaurant was so sweet, warm, and welcoming. She made us feel like family and even hugged us goodbye. That kind of hospitality is rare and unforgettable. We left full, happy, and already planning our return. Highly recommend! read more

Loved all the savory dishes! I especially loved the steak and eggs, usually when I order steaks from restaurants they give me small portions but I was pleasantly impressed with the amount of meat they gave me. I also ordered the souffle pancakes, I thought they just forgot to add the berries but found 2 small blueberries and a single raspberry in the back corner below a pancake. The pancakes weren't too sweet but knocked a star down because I wish it came with a couple more berries like I see in the photos read more

Came out here with a friend and we did not expect to order as much as we did. For just two ladies, we ordered a feast. Appetizer (crab roll), three mains (khao soi, tom yum soup and crispy fish with apple salad), and a roti with coconut ice cream! Unfortunately I was only able to take a photo of the crispy fish because I couldn't wait to try everything and decided to put my hunger first than my phone. My childhood best friend recommended we meet Here for lunch, after she went to Kinaree Eatery the week before. This Thai restaurant in her option is very authentic and she is from Thailand and we traveled together to Thailand in the past to visit her family. They serve both breakfast and lunch. And are known for their soufflé pancakes.. I ordered lunch and ordered Khao So, a rice noodle in curry broth with dried noodles, with chicken. One has choice of meat, and the chicken was a bone in thigh with skin on. A tasty dish I'd be tempted to order again. We got a side for the table of Sai Oua (Thai sausage made with minced pork, lemongrass, kaffic lime leaves, galangal, chill) served on a platter with sticky Rice, Nam prik num and pork crackling.( I pulled from their website). Due to my own allergies I normally don't eat sausage, but this I could and did. Delicious. My husband ordered the garlic prawn dish and LOvED it. My friend ordered a beef hotpot from which we had a taste. The dinning room was appealing and has pretty floral light fixtures, the staff were attentive; perhaps because my friend ordered in Thai and she ordered her dish how she wanted it. First time my girlfriend and I went here. We went for brunch, and it was really good! First the service was really attentive and nice for being such a small corner restaurant. The decor was also quite pleasing and bright. As for the food: we got the holy chicken chili omelette, kinaree chicken and waffle, crab roll, and sweet roti. The portions were much bigger than I expected, and it was all so flavorful. The crab roll has a lot of crab and no filler. Totally worth it. Definitely will be coming back and recommending to others as a nice family share meal restaurant, even for breakfast/brunch! read more

Kinaree in Irvine is a great spot for Thai-inspired comfort food with bold flavors. We shared everything we ordered and still had leftovers, which says a lot about the generous portions. The Soufflé Pancakes were incredibly light and fluffy, the Crab Rolls were crispy and flavorful, and the Holy Chili Bomb Basil Omelette was the standout--fragrant, spicy, and totally addictive. Everything was satisfying, well-executed, and perfect for sharing. Definitely a place worth coming back to! Best way to start the New Year!!! read more
Good food, long wait! Came here on a Saturday afternoon around 2:00. We were seated right away; there were quite a few open tables since it was an off hour. Interior is super bright and colorful. They have a really cute floral display on the ceiling and some colorful artwork on the walls. Our order was taken quickly - I ordered the tom yum hot pot. We ended up waiting about 40 minutes for all our food. Would definitely recommend the tom yum hot pot! It came out boiling hot, and had a good variety of toppings inside: squid, fish balls, shrimp, pork belly, and mama noodles. Soup was really rich and savory. Overall it was a decent size portion, not too overwhelming but enough to fill me up. For $30, the price was a little high but it will be adding this place to my rotation! read more
