This place is so good, but just be prepared because the wait is always long. I genuinely don't even know what a good time to come is because every time I've gone, there's still been a bit of a wait. But honestly, the food is good enough that it still feels worth it. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, which I liked, and our server was really nice and gave us a lot of recommendations, including a drink that I can't remember the name of but was actually really good. Overall, definitely a spot I'd come back to, I'd just mentally prepare for the wait first.

First timer! Easy parking. Was worried about waiting long but surprisingly didn't have to at 630pm for a weeknight. Very friendly and attentive staff. Our server was absolutely fantastic (bummed I can't remember her name). We were seated outside with strong heating lamps. Tasty drinks, the food is yummy, and the presentation was beautiful.

One of my favorite places for Thai fusion. Beautiful presentation with great flavors. It is a very small restaurant and it gets packed quick!! They also own the restaurant next door which is a Korean Japanese Thai fusion so you can choose between two menus which is cool.

Highly recommend to be on the waitlist as it gets very busy!! This is my second time here and it's actually so good compared to my first time (a while ago). I came HUNGRY. Green Papaya Salad- Delish!!! I got medium spice but will do one level higher next time! Just the right amount of spice, enough to make you drink water AND still enjoy it! Hanuman's Ceviche- soooo good!! It's definitely a MUST TRY. I will be getting this every time I go. It's light and refreshing, especially with a slight citrus splash! Pad Kee Mao- WAIT A MINUTE, HOLD UP. WHAT?! I usually get Pad Thai but decided to switch it up and I am glad I did!! IT'S SO YUMMY! So much umami and very flavorful!! Panang w/ Shrimp- My go-to from all the curries. It's a little sweet and salty. That balancing contrast where you get the best of both worlds. Khao Soi- I'm not a huge fan of Khao Soi. I could never eat this dish by itself, I think it's too heavy. I did have a small bowl though, it was good!!

Favorite Thai restaurant in SoCal! Obsessed with their Chicken Satay, Karee, Drunken Noodles, and Mango Sticky Rice. Inside is very nice but a bit small. I always love sitting outside with the fresh air - the staff always keeps every table shaded and will adjust the umbrellas throughout your meal. Overall the staff are so nice and on top of everything! Only caution is to be mindful of their hours and how busy they get. They open later in the day and are closed on Sundays. For that reason, there's a significant wait during the times they are open (for a walk-in during peak times, expect 1hr minimum...) Will be back again, and again.....and again.

Went for linner so we missed the rush and got seated right away. Service was super quick and attentive the whole time. Khao Soi was really good. Noodles stayed bouncy even sitting in the broth for a while. It was a bit spicier than I expected (and I removed the chili crisp at the start), but the curry broth was rich and flavorful. Slightly salty, but the lime helped balance it out. The chicken was the star though! So tender and juicy, literally falling off the bone. Pad Thai had a nice chew, not mushy at all. Flavor leaned a bit more smoky, almost like pad see ew vibes? Shrimp were plump and not fishy. Crying Tiger had perfectly cooked steak. It was super tender and easy to cut, almost melts in your mouth. Only thing was the sauce was kinda lacking. Needed more of it or just stronger flavor. They didn't have mango sticky rice, so we got the coco mango drink instead. Very strong mango flavor, kinda like frozen mango, and it actually reminded me of mango sticky rice. Overall had good mango flavor and creaminess, but def on the sweeter side. Not sure if you can adjust the sweetness but would've been fine at like 50% sweetness.

Worth the wait but just go 10 minutes before they open at 2:59. You could also join waitlist on Yelp app if you're a few miles away. There's limited tables inside but they have some tables outside as well. I've had this place bookmarked for a while and finally decided to try. Definitely so glad I finally came here and will be coming again. Everything was soo delicious! Started with mango sticky rice mocktail, very tasty and refreshing but it's like mango juice with baked rice cake pieces and some coconut cream on top. Chicken satay was slathered in peanut sauce and every bite was so tender even though it's chicken breast. Great to pair with rice. Gai Todd Hat Yai fried chicken was so crispy and very fresh to order, it was still steaming hot while we were eating it. This is definitely messy hand food because it just tastes so good getting a bit of sticky rice, fried onions, some chicken and dipping everything in their chili sauce - elite combo. Khao Soi was very creamy with a kick, you get that nice flavorful coconut base. Downside is that there's only 1 chicken drumstick as protein but on the plus side it was extremely tender. Chicken thai fried rice was good and a big hefty portion however I didn't care for this that much, it was a normal fried rice to me. Thai ice coffee was good - not too sweet! Had a hint of grass jell flavor imo. Finished with chalalalala - feeds like a family or at least 4 people or more. Did not expect this size and it was so hard to finish lol. Basically thai tea shaved ice with some dense bread, topped with evaporated milk, grass jelly and cornflakes. This one is not that bad but probably wouldn't get again. Never had a Thai tea shaved ice like this before

Great find in a strip mall. It's actually two sister restaurants with separate menus that you can order from at either location. No reservations so be sure to hop on the Yelp waitlist if you plan to dine in for dinner -- it was busy on a Tuesday evening! Very friendly staff with clean, fresh ingredients. Lacked traditional Thai flavor punch but overall would go to again.

Recently came back to Hanuman with my friends, and it was a much better experience than I had a few years back. So it is time to update the review. There was a wait, as they were busy, but the hostess was very friendly and apologized multiple times for the wait. I think we waited about 30 min. We got: Papaya salad - 9/10- fresh, tangy, well balanced, and big portion Khao Soi - 9/10- chicken fell off the bone, the curry soup base was bold and heavy Gai Todd hat yai - 9/10- freshly fried chicken, perfectly crispy on the outside and tender meat It's family style, and dishes are great for sharing. Service is friendly. Parking is pretty easy.

Came back & found some bew favorites! Papaya salad, ceviche, and the eggplant tempura from their collab with the izakaya next door! Always a great time with a great food & service!

Tried Hanuman Thai in Costa Mesa and it did not disappoint! We ordered the Panang curry, pad see ew, and the lamb appetizer--everything was so flavorful. The Panang was rich and perfectly spiced, the pad see ew had that ideal balance of savory but a little too sweet for my taste! their lamb was super tender and a great start to the meal. Definitely a spot I'd come back to!

I ordered to go through their website. It indicated the food would be ready in about 25 minutes so that was how long I waited in my car. But when I clicked on the Track My Order link in the email, the status had changed to that the food had been ready about 15 min after I ordered. It was about 6:30pm and there was quite a few people waiting to pick up food as well as to be seated. I am pleased with how well the food was packaged. They came in nice sturdy boxes and came with utensils. I ordered the Spicy Basil "Pad Ga Pow Kai Dao" which came with a fried egg that was perfectly cooked, with a bit of yolk oozing upon first bite. The choice of protein I chose was tofu and I liked that it was firm and cut into bite sized pieces. The basil really made the dish flavorful. It wasn't very spicy though. I really enjoyed the Pad See Ew also. The noodles were not overcooked. However I am surprised it had only a few leafy greens and doesn't include more vegetables like some other places do. You do have the option of adding more vegetables though. I would be interested in returning and trying out other dishes.

Hanuman is a modern Thai restaurant that will have your eyes feasting. The aesthetics of this restaurant begin with the exterior first, prior to the food. Loved the vibe with modern music as I sat outside. Once you sit, you're greeted with 2 menus - one from the izakaya restaurant and one for Hanuman (at least this was the case during an early dinner hour at 5). I ordered specialty dishes which were the Khao Soi, Mange Sticky Rice and the Gai Todd Hat Ya, each of which had its own unique twist. The Khao Soi came out beautifully and had a delicious coconut flavor. The noodles were cooked well and the dried noodles added a nice texture change. I will say the chicken leg that came with this dish was cooked perfectly - juicy, and tender. (If you're a protein lover like me though this may not be enough.) As a note, the broth is a little heavy for those who haven't tried a coconut soup. The Gai Todd Hat Ya was a crispy fired chicken with a side of sweet and sour sauce and sticky. The crunch was fantastic on these as the chicken was also juicy and perfectly cooked. The only downside to this dish is outside of the sweet and sour sauce, I felt there was a lack of flavor on the wings as they were seasoned. The sticky rice it came with was also tasty! The mango sticky rice was my favorite of the bunch. Perfectly ripe mango paired with the coconut rice drizzled with coconut milk was delicious! Just look at the photo! If you go here, try to order, since the restaurant says they only have it while supplies last!! Be the judge of cost, but for these 3 dishes (including 18% tip), the total came out to ~$87.

I definitely wouldn't recommend walk-ins as the waitlist fills up quickly. For drinks, we got the passionfruit smoothie (a special) and thai green tea. They ran on the sweeter side so I had to add a bit of water to dilute but otherwise, pretty strong and tasty! We loved the shrimp fried rice and pad thai but it was a mistake to get it with the pork belly. The pork belly had very crispy skin and the meat itself was super dry. It was hard to chew at times and I ended up not finishing. The pad see ew was a lil salty and greasy but still delicious. It's overhyped imo especially for the long wait but I would say it's good to try if you're a first timer. I'm still on the hunt for my favorite Thai restaurant!

I was impressed by how beautiful the huge mural was in the parking lot which btw was ample, there was no need for a valet. I was surprised to be greeted by a Hispanic man and our server was also a Latina, the interior was so beautifully decorated like a shangrila, better than any Thai restaurant I went to in Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket. We ordered the beef satay, Penang chicken curry and drunken noodles, the portion was enough to feed an entire village! LOL! every entree came w rice, salad. Unfortunately everything was so sweet I thought I ate a dessert, I can't understand why everything is so sweet in 90% of Thai restaurants in USA, that is not the case in Thailand. The chicken in the Penang curry was so bland like coming out of the freezer not real chicken and the curry sauce was sweet so I could not eat it, the beef was chewy. The drunken noodle taste was Ok but it was also sweet. Over all it is 2 stars for me but I rate this 3 stars bc my husband needed to gain weight and he ate everything so the extra star came from him. I'm afraid the chef might also be a Hispanic man if all the help was so the food was not authentic, I don't think I will come back here. This was full of flavor, and really love the sauce and everything that came with it. Definitely scored high on craveability. The only request I had which I relayed to the owner is - the pork belly was a little on the tough side. I made suggestions for them to try to remedy that. * Pad Thai with Shrimp was on point. Honestly it was good and the portion did fill me up! Servers were amazing and understanding! I can't wait to go back and try more food here :)

Well, I guess it was bound to happen. While my food adventures in OC have largely been successful,…read moreit was inevitable that I'd end up coming across a place that so many folks like that just didn't hit the mark for me. However, I never would've thought that place was going to be Siam Station. After hearing good things about their spot in Cupertino/the Bay Area from several friends, it felt rather fortuitous when we randomly came across their original location - and with no line in sight! Inside, they've got a cozy sort of vibe and it's cool how they have some outdoor tables set-up as well. As for the menu, it didn't seem all that extensive at a glance, but it has all of the staples you'd expect to find among their appetizers, soups, salads, fried rice, stir fried noodles, noodle soups, curry dishes, entrees, and desserts. -- ZESTY WINGS - Deep Fried Chicken Wings Topped with Crispy Basil and Served with Chili Sauce Easily our favorite dish of the night. The wings were really crispy on the outside and oh so juicy on the inside. Even though there wasn't much of the sauce, which was flavorful but not that spicy, it was fine - the wings were still great without it. -- KHAO SOI with Chicken - Yellow Curry Broth with Egg Noodles and Chicken and Served with Red Onions, Lime, and Pickles Ehh...this was okay, I guess. On the plus side, the chicken was tender and I thought the broth was pretty good - not the best I've had, but better than most. That said, I didn't love the egg noodles, especially the crispy ones after they had soaked up the broth. -- PAD KEE MOW (Drunken Noodles) with Crispy Pork - Flat Rice Noodles Stir Fried with Spicy Basil Garlic Sauce, Bell Peppers, Tomato, Sweet Onion, and Thai Basil I was super excited for this, but it was disappointing. The first thing we noticed was how pale it was and, sadly, the taste matched. Whether it be their garlic sauce or some chilis, this needed more. As for the pork, it was definitely crispy, but a few pieces bordered on dry/burnt. -- MANGO STICKY RICE A little hit, a little miss. The mango was fine (decently sweet, soft), but the sticky rice left us a little wanting. Mainly, I didn't love the glob of coconut cream, was it was pretty thick and viscous, which gave the rice a weird texture/coating to it. As far as service goes, it was uneventfully good. Although there was one point where it was hard to hail someone, it was mostly because the restaurant got increasingly busy and one of the servers was trying to help a group sort something out with their order. Otherwise, our food came out relatively quick and the workers were rather efficient with everything. Despite how we left feeling bummed out by our experience, it had more to do with being underwhelmed than the food actually being "bad". Admittedly, we came in with high hopes/expectations from all of the hype we had heard and it probably didn't help that we had gone to Manaao the night before, which is one of my favorite Thai restaurants anywhere. What's more, I wonder if we just didn't get the best that Siam Station has to offer. I certainly wouldn't be opposed to coming back to find out (and potentially writing an update), but perhaps I'll just try my luck at their spot in Cupertino that my friends like so much.

This is what we ordered and how I would rate everything: --Yellow Curry w/rice - 10/10 --Panang Curry w/rice 10/10 --Larb Chicken Salad 8/10 --Spicy Beef Salad 10/10 --Pad Thai 9/10 --Pad See Ew 10/10 --Mango with Sticky Rice dessert 10/10 Overall, I'm impressed that Siam Station is so amazing because it's located in Newport Beach (which isn't known for Thai food). Siam Station does have other locations which are also delicious! The location itself is clean and modern as it is fairly new. They also offer delivery and I have also gotten delivery from the Uber Eats third parties from Siam Station and they pack the food with care where it holds up well. Overall, Siam Station is my new favorite Thai Restaurant in this part of OC and I plan to order from them exclusively in the future for all my Thai Food to-go orders!

When it's bad, like last night - I don't even want to take more than 2 bites. I ordered the cashew chicken yesterday, the sauce was clumpy and almost like glue? Instead of a nice smooth sauce that tastes good. Additionally; the veggies, chicken and cashews in the dish were scorched! It was burnt and still packed up to-go by the cook. There were also pretty minimal veggies in it. I get the cashew chicken because it was nice large slices of bell pepper and other veggies.....yesterday was small, soggy, overcooked little pieces of bell pepper.... No thank you
