Paradise Dynasty puts Din Tai Fung to shame it has so many great selections on the menu. They have a wide selection of Xiao Long Bau including their newest Birria Xiao Long Bau. The only negative thing is that their green beans are old beans meaning that they picked them too late off the bush. Haricots verts, or French green beans, should be nice and tender and delicious. These were stringy, dry, and mealy. The beans seemed like they were picked off the bush too late. Other than that, the service is great. The ambience is great. I'm glad we came during the time when it's not too busy still very delicious food let's see if the manager manager will make good on the beans. I've talked to the manager and they will take the green beans off the bill so they get a five star as far as I'm concerned.

Whenever we are craving for dumplings and Chinese food at South Coast Plaza, the deciding factor usually comes down to one thing...the wait. It's almost always a choice between Paradise Dynasty or Din Tai Fung and this time Paradise Dynasty won. I checked OpenTable but ended up calling the restaurant directly. The host let me know there was no wait and since we were only about five minutes away, it made the decision easy. The food here has been satisfying and many of the dishes are comparable to Din Tai Fung without the long wait. If you're looking to satisfy a dumpling craving, this place definitely delivers. Our food arrived quickly. It's also an excellent option for larger groups since the menu is designed for sharing and making it nice for gatherings with family, friends, or coworkers. Service was efficient rather than personalized. The staff kept things moving and the food came out quickly. They seem focused on getting guests served efficiently, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, especially during busy dining hours like how we came on a Sunday during lunch time. Overall, Paradise Dynasty is a solid choice when you're shopping at South Coast Plaza and want quality Chinese food without committing to a lengthy wait. For me, it's become a reliable alternative that satisfies the craving every time.

Paradise Dynasty is always a solid option for me. I look at it differently than Din Tai Fung because it's not trying to be the same thing -- they have different flavors, different menu items, and overall a slightly different style of cuisine. The biggest plus for me is that they do fun collaborations, the wait usually isn't bad, and it scratches that soup dumpling craving without dealing with full DTF chaos. This time I came for their collaboration item, the birria soup dumplings, and honestly they were good. I've been here for a few collabs now and I think this one has been my favorite so far. Anytime they drop a new collab, I'll usually come back and try it. I also ordered the seasonal mochi with black sesame and green tea. Presentation was super cute and definitely on point, but flavor-wise it was just too sweet for me. The green tea filling was good, but everything came in this sugary syrup that reminded me of the sweet syrup served with Vietnamese tofu desserts. I usually love black sesame too, but between that and the syrup, it was a lot. I ate one of each and that was enough for me. The string beans with minced pork were good though. They do give you the option without minced pork, but honestly I don't know why you'd skip it because that's where most of the flavor is. I could see it getting salty if you got too much of it, but overall I liked that dish. Service has always been fine here -- not over-the-top amazing, but good. I usually go during off times right when they open, so they're attentive and pretty quick every time I've gone. Overall, I'd definitely come back. It's a good option when I want something in the Din Tai Fung world without the Din Tai Fung wait, and I'll keep coming back for the collaborations alone.

Paradise Dynasty is known for their xiao long bao. One of their most popular items are their "specialty xiao long bao", which has 8 different flavors of the juicy soup dumplings. While I enjoyed the original, black truffle, crab roe, and szechuan flavors, the other flavors were really eccentric. Cheese xiao long bao had a little American cheese in it. BBQ pulled pork tasted like BBQ sauce. Garlic had a very strong garlic oil flavor. The dumpling skins were excellent and I loved the pork and abundant soup filling. The condiments (vinegar, soy, chili oil) at our table, however, were in pretty bad shape (sticky/dirty), which wasn't the best look. We also ordered their chili oil wontons, their shanghai pan fried bao, and their sweet and sour pork rib appetizer. These were also good, but nothing special. Overall, this was three stars for me because the eccentric things were too far out there. Everything else was okay to good and prices were on the higher end.

This place is beautifully decorated; the concepts are unique, and the staff are polite. Though, the food wasn't very authentic as an Asian restaurant in my opinion. Much of the food felt Americanized. The desserts were a bit sweet and the soup broth wasn't very flavorful. I do love the presentation and the concepts of their food though!

The XLB was a really interesting experience because of all the different flavors and colors! I will say that there were some flavors I wasn't too fond of which was the only reason why I probably ordered it again but it's definitely fun to try. The fried rice was super moist and flavorful and definitely something I would get again. One thing though, is that when we got the package (ordered to-go) the vinegar spilled all over the boxes inside and the person helping us out did replace the bag, but did not wipe anything so everything was all wet when we took it out. We ended up spending a bunch of time wiping everything down before we actually got to enjoy and eat. It's not too big of a deal but definitely for a restaurant like Paradise Dynasty I would've thought their process and presentation would be a lot better.

The best place for Xiao Long Bao of different flavors and top sauce and quick service with several enticing menu items make this restaurant one of the top choice for the discerning South Coast Plaza shoppers! This restaurant rocks compared to any other fancy restaurants in service, taste, attention to details, soup selections and the open, airy tall ceiling with excellent decor. Even their Chopsticks are awesome. The logical and well thought out menu and the Dim Sum style individual selection paper provided initially were somewhat daunting but the lady seated next to us explained how to navigate through the simple alphabetical orders of different styles of food totally satisfied my understanding! We ordered the top two Xiao Long Bao and were served almost immediately. The pork dish was fantastic. The soup came out as advertised Hot, Sour, perfectly balanced and savory with full of flavors. Five solid stars for everything. To my Mukbang Comrades; Go Forth and Charge into one of new favorites of OC for authentic Chinese Dim Sum foods. Just don't hesitate!

Made reservations for a party of 8 via OpenTable. My husband and I just celebrated getting married that morning, and I noted that in my reservations. Due to time conflicts, I kept changing the time of my reservation. But they were able to accommodate us when we arrived early. Because we had a large party, I already knew what to order. We placed our order in the paper slip. It look long for someone to come by and pick it up. We had to call someone to get it. The food comes out at different times. But everything was exceptional. The food was delicious! The food had good flavor and taste as was well seasoned. I love the texture of the beans we ordered, as well as the dandan noodles. It had a good bite and chew. It wasn't over cook or under cooked and the sauce has great umami flavor. One thing that was lacking was the derive. The only service we seem to receive was when we received our food. No one really came to check up on us or see if we needed drink refills or if we wanted to order anything else. And because we were celebrating our marriage, I did note that in the reservations, we didn't receive anything afterwards. Not even a small scoop of ice cream or mochi or however they do celebrations there. The ambiance is nice, with a laidback mellow feel. It wasn't as busy when we went for lunch cos it was on a weekday so I expected a lot from this place being how popular it is. Just disappointed we didn't get anything for our wedding celebration.

Paradise Dynasty is a Singaporean restaurant brand and is a part of the Paradise Group. This is the flagship US location for Paradise Dynasty and there is a second location at The Americana at Brand. Its sister restaurant, Le Shrimp Noodle Bar, is also a part of the Paradise Group. Visitors are encouraged to make reservations via OpenTable, but our party re-visited here on Wednesday night without a reservation and was able to get a table immediately. [Parking]: No issues finding available parking at South Coast Plaza on weekday evenings. [Service]: Service was not exactly efficient as our waiter was a bit slow and took longer than expected. [Menu]: The restaurant is best known for its Specialty Rainbow Xiao Long Bao (aka juicy pork dumplings). Recently, the restaurant collaborated with Burritos La Palma to create Birria Xiao Long Bao for a limited time. The menu is quite similar to Din Tai Fung's menu, but some dishes are missing (e.g. beef noodle soup) and some dishes can only be found at Paradise Dynasty (e.g. cute dessert baos). *** A1 Specialty Dynasty Xiao Long Bao (8 flavors - Signature Original, Szechuan, Garlic, Cheese, Kimchi, Crab Meat with Roe, BBQ Pulled Pork, Black Truffle - $20.75): This is the rainbow XLB sampler that almost all first-time visitors order and is not exactly a sharable dish. The staff provided everyone with a sheet stating the recommended order for eating each XLB. My general impression was that the cheese flavor had a particularly strong aftertaste. I liked the crab meat and the Szechuan XLB had just enough spice to numb the taste buds without overly spicy. To my surprise, the Kimchi XLB was actually spicier than the Szechuan version. Overall the XLBs tasted very experimental and were a mixed bag. Birria XLB (6 pieces - $7.99): The dipping sauce tasted like salsa with a sweet and vinegary aftertaste. It wasn't as bad as I had expected and was a solid A-tier XLB. H2. Taro Paste Xiao Long Bao (6 pieces - $7.50): Gooey taro filling with great flavor with the right level of sweetness. S-tier XLB. J6. Jasmine Tea (Hot): Pretty teapot, but the jasmine tea was brewed using one tea bag rather than loose tea leaves. F7. Fried Rice with Fried Pork Chop ($19.75): Excellent pork chop - not too greasy and the fried rice was cooked perfectly. S-tier dish. B1. Radish Pastry (3 pieces - $10.50): Ultra-flaky appetizer with a very mild flavor. Not an absolute must-order, but still a good dish. G6. Noodles with 'Dan Dan' Sauce (Spicy Sesame and Peanut - $12.50): Silky smooth noodles and not overly spicy. A very solid option. *** I think the signature rainbow XLB is a bit too experimental for my taste and I personally prefer their traditional dishes like Signature Original XLB, Taro Paste XLB, Fried Rice with Fried Pork Chop, and Dan Dan Noodles. Possibly 4-star on food, but going to knock off a star due to somewhat slow service and hefty price tags on most dishes.

Paradise Dynasty is always such a good spot. I come here pretty often, especially for happy hour, and it's honestly a great deal. This time I ordered the Birria Xiao Long Bao from Burritos La Palma and it was so good. I love living in SoCal because we get fun fusion like Mexican food and Taiwanese food, and this was such a cool combo. The original Xiao Long Bao was also really good, as always. One of my favorites was the cold tofu. I like getting the crispy onion on the side so I can add more on top whenever I want. The ribs were also delicious, and the pork rib was super good too. Everything we ordered was really good. Highly recommend this place, especially if you come during happy hour.

It had been way too long since I've been here! I saw on ad on Instagram for a Birria dumpling which I've never seen before! We ended up coming during happy hour which was 40% off a handful of menu items and $2.99 house wine! The Birria dumpling was good, but I don't recommend dipping in soy sauce or the salsa it comes with. Eat it plain as is! I also tired the Kimchi dumpling for the first time which were full of flavor. Lastly, the shrimp and pork chili wontons you can't go wrong with!

We had an amazing experience at Paradise Dynasty, and Liz was hands down the best server we've had in a long time! She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from start to finish. She gave great menu recommendations, checked in at all the right times, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. Her positive attitude and genuine care for her guests really stood out and made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Outstanding customer service like hers is hard to find these days. Thank you, Liz, for making our visit so memorable--we'll definitely be back, and we hope to see you again!

We got sat right away! We went on a Wednesday around 4:30pm and there wasn't a line. Good thing is that if there is a long - you have a whole mall to walk through and explore/shop! The servers were so nice and quick! They provided recommendations and always checked in and made sure I had water! The restaurant is very clean and updated since it's brand new! The menu is so large!!! There are so many things to try!! Pork chop fried rice was 10/10 so crispy and flavorful Beef - they said this was one of their top dishes and the sauce was so flavorful beef was super tender. Pan fried buns - bottom is so crispy and inside is savory! Specialty XLB - MUST GET THIS! This is what they are known for and it's so fun trying all the flavors!!! The wrapping is thin and the flavors really shine through. Dan Dan noodles - so nutty! We loved how bouncy the noodles were. Panda chocolate buns - they're so cute!!!!! The chocolate was so delicious and the buns were so soft and fluffy

It feels like a younger team is running things now, making the service more efficient, while you'll still recognize some of the longtime employees that have been here for years. It's nice to see the tradition continue without losing what made this place special. Parking can be hectic since it's in a busy plaza, so I highly recommend arriving before 9:30 AM on weekends. The restaurant fills up fast, and the energy is always lively. Seating can be a little close for comfort at times, and you may end up dining right next to another party, but that's all part of the classic dim sum experience. The dining room is spacious and can easily accommodate parties of any size--from a table for one to large family gatherings of 20+. One change I noticed is there are fewer dim sum carts roaming around now. Instead, you can order most items directly from your server, which honestly makes it easier to get exactly what you're craving. The beverage cart still comes around with fresh fruit drinks, coffee, tea, and yes... even beer at 9 in the morning if that's your thing! If you want both dim sum and their lunch menu, plan to arrive around 10:30 AM. Lunch isn't served until 11:00 when the kitchen shifts over, so you can enjoy both in one visit. Our table was filled with all the classics. Such as har gow, siu mai, rice porridge with Chinese donut, and plenty more (definitely ordered more than we could finish). Don't forget to order the almond drink with the puff pastry as soon as you sit down because it takes about 30 minutes to prepare and is absolutely worth the wait. We also tried their newer weekend special, the fried tofu skin with shrimp, which my husband really enjoyed. One last tip: don't forget to check in on Yelp to save on wait time! Great service, authentic dim sum, and flavors that have stayed consistent for years. Seafood Cove 2 never disappoints and will always be my go-to spot whenever I'm craving dim sum.

I ended up having so much left over to take back and share with other friends I was meeting up with that evening. The bao were absolutely delicious! Stuffed to the brim of filling and perfectly toasted on the bottom. The mapo tofu was so comforting as it's a dish I typically make at home. The cheese corn was so cheesy, but didn't have as much corn as I thought, but none the less also amazing! The star was the braised pork belly. Absolutely loved it and could easily eat those all the time. Definitely worth checking out

She got a bento box with katsu chicken, rice, etc. Ordered egg rolls as side too. Sadly she didn't seem impressed. Barely ate half of the box, one egg roll, and then said she is ready to step away. I didn't try any of it, but it looked simple and good. I got the egg fried rice and beef chow mein. I was quite happy with my plates. Good mix of flavors, perfect texture to both. The portions were larger than I anticipated, so I had some to take home and it all reheated well. Service was good. The young folks working were very attentive, checked up on us regularly, and kept our water dispensing bottle full... This little strip of small businesses is in a nice area, very close to the 55 freeway. Easy to access, decent amount of parking, and has an "active" security guard walking the grounds regularly.

I was introduced here by a couple of friends, and Seven Grams did NOT miss! We were a big group,…read morewhich means we got to try multiple different things out. We waited one hour on my visit, but that is to be expected as the restaurant is quite small. Beef Rolls (5/5): We got two orders of these, and it was our favorite for a reason. Crispy and flaky wrap on the outside and it was packed with flavor. It was very satisfying to eat! Scallion Pancakes (3.5/5): They were plain but that is to be expected, I didn't taste much scallion. It needed the sauce of course! Spicy Wontons (4/5): These are solid and the chili oil does pack a lot of heat. I would say they are on the spicier side, just wish there was a little more depth to it. Seven Grams XLB (4/5): Juicy and flavorful! Not the absolute best I've had, but still worth ordering. Golden Beef Noodle Soup (5/5): This bowl right here was amazing. Green leafy kale paired with the extra hearty soup was what made this bowl a standout dish for me. 100% would order this alone! Mapo Tofu (5/5): Yummy silky tofu cubes with the minced meat sauce were delicious in every bite! I had no other complaints, but this dish gets very filling easily. Seriously, this place is one of my favorite places in Tustin. The service one inside is efficient, and the ambience is a bit noisy and packed, but this place is popular for a reason. I'll definitely revisit this spot when I get the chance.

Been to Seven Grams multiple times, primarily for the delicious Xiao long bao. There is a Yelp…read morewaitlist, and you can also join in person. Seating consider is around 10 tables plus hjgh top stools, so if you are a large group the wait can be long. We stopped by yesterday to try out some new items, which were a mixed bag. First the Cheese Chicken Roll was surprisingly good. Imagine the Beef Roll and swap things around to get something off of a fancy KFC menu. It features a crispy flaky tortilla outside, wrapped around copious chicken (katsu texture), some lettuce for a crunch, some melted cheese, and then a spicy Thousand-Island type dressing. It all pairs well, has a good chicken portion, and texture variation too. My only desire would be for slightly more lettuce and slightly less cheese, otherwise perfect. Crispy Lotus Root Fries are solid, but not a replacement for typical potato fries. The lotus version was not as crispy or crunchy, but would be an Asian version. It comes with ketchup and the same spicy thousand island dressing as the chicken roll. Lastly we were let down by the Pan Fried Shrimp&Chicken Dumplings (Whole Wheat). The whole wheat wrapping had a very slight texture difference, not as chewy as the typical dumpling wrapping. But the inside was the main focus. It seemed like it was a fishball inside, a homogenous color and texture and more reminiscent of fish than of shrimp. It's possible we got the wrong dumpling. Based on this experience we would not order it again. Wheat wrapping would be fine, but the shrimp/chicken filling would be a no.

Then he just took it back. It just reminds us the similar experience we had in Din Tai Fung. The waiter in Din Tai Fung, understanding the mistake, gracefully telling us to enjoy the dish. I wonder if JA Jiaozi took that dish back and gave to other customer again, which is not appropriate. Perhaps they should do better public relationship. The waiter also was in a hurry, everyone.

That had my name already on their waitlist kiosk when I walked in. Salvador was our server and he was simply amazing! Very professional and courteous. We decided on a pot of chrysanthemum tea while we browsed their menu with beautiful pictures that helped me easily locate the Steamed Jiaozi Combo and identified the stuffing for each color. The interior is very nice. I also like the place settings with a nice sized bowl for sauces. I also enjoyed watching them make the dumplings. There were 4 people: one to portion the dough, one to roll out the dough into perfect circles, one to fill and make the dumplings, and one to steam the dumplings. Quite an operation! We decided to order: * Steamed Jiaozi Combo - 2 orders because there were 4 of us and we wanted to try all the dumplings but also share. The white dumpling was shrimp and scallop. Since I'm allergic to shellfish, I skipped that one. Salvador made note of my allergy and to be sure to point out any dishes that might have shellfish. (What a guy!) This is a good way to try most of their dumplings. I didn't really have a favorite. They were all good. I do like their sauce choices on the table so you can mix your own in your saucer and personalize your spice level. * Brussels Sprouts w/ Seasoned Dressing - This was so good!! The sprouts were cooked perfectly and the dressing was nothing I've had before. So flavorful and well-balanced. * Chicken Chow Mein - looks simple but it was so delicious! * Plums Braised Pork Belly - tender and flavorful. This was probably my favorite dish from everything we ordered. * Stir-Fried Green Beans w/ XO Sauce - the beans were crisp and the sauce was perfect. We ordered 3 desserts because we couldn't decide: * Black Sesame Steamed Jiaozi - yummy black sesame flavor. I've never had it in a dumpling. * Fried Rice Cakes - Ooey, gooey and heaven for your tastebuds especially if you love condensed milk. * Italian Ice Cream with Kumquat Sauce - Ohemgeee!!! Can we talk about that kumquat sauce? That was the perfect flavor to complement the ice cream. As I write this review, I realize that there were so many dishes I wish I tried. I need to come back!!
