House special buns w pork 生煎包
    Linda L.

I didn't know what to expect from a place called Little Pan until my friends told me it's really good 生煎包、eg Shanghainese style pan fried potstickers/buns. So my friends took me to try even though we just ate dinner in the same plaza! The original house special buns with pork were juicy and hot, better to eat 'em there right when they're hot and add vinegar before indulging. The place is small but it is modern and clean. It's under the same ownership as 949 Grill lounge two doors down. Sherry was super friendly and helpful, and we can't wait to go back! Thank you!

This was my first time trying this restaurant after seeing a lot of videos on social media and I was not disappointed! The buns were perfectly tasty and the bottom was super crispy and tasted like fried mantou. I also tried the beef dumplings, which was a nice twist since I don't usually see a lot of places use beef in their fillings as they usually use pork or chicken. Definitely worth stopping by!

Amazing! Today was my first visit, the food was for take out and was prepared in a very beautiful and thoughtful way. That was just the start of an amazing experience at Little Pan. The prices are affordable and the food is absolutely delicious! We tried several items and all were so yummy, we will be back. Stop in you will be sure to enjoy this little gem!

Cup of mini angus beef pan fried buns (dumplings) in chili oil with jasmine soy milk

Hands down one of my favorite places to get dumplings. Came here a while back with my best friend and we tried a few things. I recently came back for my favorite though: the cup of mini pan fried angus beef buns with a jasmine soy milk and it was as delicious as I remembered, definitely a favorite of mine. I recommend getting them with a soy milk of choice (preferably the jasmine) to soften the spice and add a little creamy, light sweetness to mix. We also tried the rainbow dumplings which were also very good. Certain colors were our favorites but we can't recall which was which. Either way, they are worth a try! The pan fried pork buns and xiao long bao were also delicious and highly recommend. I'm always looking for a place with great dumplings/ soup dumplings and this is absolutely one I always recommend and pick up if I'm in the neighborhood. There are also a bunch of cute places in this center I wouldn't mind trying either. If you have time, sit inside and enjoy the quaint and adorable ambiance. The young lady who helped me was so sweet and helpful. I'll definitely be back to pick up my faves and come with friends!

Mini Pan-Fried Bun In Chili Sauce

I was craving juicy dumplings, so my boyfriend and I visited Little Pan. It's a small restaurant but it has tables and booths for large or small parties. The service was also great and attentive. The mini pan fried dumplings in chili sauce were delicious-- Definitely my favorite dish. However, the Lunar New Year buns... those were SPICY. If you can handle the heat, then these are the buns for you. Unfortunately for me, my tongue was on fire. I really liked some spicy buns from a different restaurant so I thought that I'd love these ones too. I should've stuck with the original.

If you're around the area - this spot is a must try! The buns are crispy at the bottom, yet soft all around. We came around a weekday lunch time and it was quite busy. They were quite understaffed, but everyone was so sweet and helping one another. It was great to see. We tried their variety of buns and I loved the curry one! My friend really enjoyed the shrimp and chives. Of course we had to try the cucumbers which were refreshing and flavorful. I need to come back and try the rest of the menu. Overall, 4.5 stars!

I ordered the 6 pc beef pancake, and they were absolutely delicious. The ingredients are few including braised beef, cilantro, and their house sauce. It was a good mixture of something heavy and savory and something light and refreshing. When my family and I had first entered, we were told to sit down and scan the QR code to order but all of our phones had issues ordering so we had to go up and order instead. I wish someone had been more attentive with refilling our water or giving us a new pitcher since the first and only pitcher they provided was only good enough for our party of 3. Other than that, the environment is great and clean.

Delicious! I have tried the one near USC as well but in my opinion this one is the best spot due to being able to get parking at the right time and dining inside is more spacious. The service is top tier and it is the perfect place for family to gather and enjoy a filling meal. Highly recommend!

Came to Little Pan to get the pan fried pork buns. For $11.99, you get six buns. They were decent. The dough is on the thinner side and the buns aren't too greasy. My favorite item turned out to the pickled cabbage - I'm not a huge kimchi fan but loved this dish. The sweet and sour cucumbers were decent, not too spicy. The hot and sour soup was more peppery and not sour. The restaurant was empty when we first got there but filled up as prime lunchtime hit. If you're getting food to go, you can order online or on the tablet in front.

Little Pan is a casual dine-in restaurant specializes in pan fried buns. Owner Vicky Liu first moved to the United States in high school and graduated from UC Irvine with a business economics degree. She started by running a food-delivery company and eventually got into pan fried buns after receiving positive feedback from her customers. Currently this is the flagship location with another location near USC. [Parking]: Easy and free plaza parking, but the lot was surprisingly packed and I took the last available spot at 7:15 PM on Saturday. [Ordering]: Customers can pick any available tables and scan the QR code to place an order. They do have laminated menus upon requests. [Menu]: For Shanghai Pan Fried Buns, they offer three main flavors - House Special Pork, Curry Pork, and Shrimp/Pork & Chive. Don't know which one to get? Customers can order assorted (2 buns for each flavor mentioned) for $13.99. They also offer special flavors like Mapo Tofu and 24k Gold Black Truffle. Other top Yelp highlighted items include Beef Roll (Beef Pancake as listed in the menu) and Dan Dan Noodles. *** Wonton Soup with Dried Small Shrimps ($12.99): This soup really hit the spot with savory broth and solid wonton. It had tiny shrimps which enhanced the umami flavor, but those shrimps did make the soup a tad salty toward the very end. Assorted Pan-Fried Pork Bun (6 Counts $13.99): The three flavors are House Special Pork, Curry Pork, and Shrimp/Pork & Chive. These buns were piping hot so make sure to (1) poke a hole first and (2) pour soup to the spoon to drink it. Crispy bottom with solid fillings. Dan Dan Noodle (fresh noodle, stir-fried pork, bok choy, five-spice sauce, and peanuts - $13.99): The noodle had right amount of spicy level and peanut sauce was not overly salty. *** A solid 4.5-star on food. A good spot for a casual lunch or dinner for local residents, who's craving for relatively decent Chinese food, but I personally wouldn't drive out of the way just for their pan fried buns.

We saw this place on tiktok and were super interested. The restaurant itself is nice and clean and does the typical online order you'd see at other modern Chinese restaurants. The staff brought out our food quickly while also periodically clearing our table. We ordered the house special pork buns as well as the curry buns and were delightfully surprised by the flavorful soup inside. The rich broth complimented the buns well as it kept the buns from being too bland. The meat inside was solid, but not the best we've ever had. The house buns were pan fried well and had a crispy bottom, but the curry ones were a bit chewier. The mini pan fried buns were a little disappointing as the sauce was bland and so were the dumplings. The texture of the dumpling was alright as the crispiness helped keep it a little interesting. The dan dan noodles were severely lacking in flavor as it just tasted like peanuts. After adding a decent amount of vinegar and chili sauce, the flavors mixed well together. Overall we would come back again, but only for the house special pan fried buns.

Pork fried bun is my fav 5/5 Shrimp and chive isn't bad Mapo tofu is nice if you're looking for a veggie option pork dumpling 2/5 was not good. The bottom was fried and soggy, inside filling wasn't flavorful. Chow mein $17 5/5 Is fabulous. Lots of shrimp, incredibly flavorful noodles with a slight chew. I would be happy with the veggie variety! My first time ordering chow mein not at a takeout spot, and it was amazing. Will be seeking chow mein at other spots when I go out now lol

Apparently this is shiitake vegetarian spring roll but it tasted like meat - confirmed by other meat eaters...
    Pascale C.

Super fun that the buns are pan fried. Cucumbers were good. The corn cheese pan was mostly just cheese in there. Vegetarian spring rolls were not vegetarian as they seem to have meat and when I checked with the cashier, they confirmed with person in the back that there was no meat in there...‍

Leaving this review after an almost bad experience to help the restaurant or anyone else that may…read morehave eaten here today. 5 stars for fixing the problem immediately for us. We've been here several times before and what keeps us coming back is the quality of the food. Today, they had a new chef cook our food and it was terrible. Green beans were extremely sour (way way too much vinegar). Mapo Tofu had a ton of oil but not enough sauce, so it was just flavorless except the oil. The fried pork chop was over fried where some pieces you can't even bite through. The rice had too much water in it and was mushy. I rarely return food but this time it was so bad we had to let them know. We returned all of our dishes back to them. They let us know there was a new chef today, and they would remake all the dishes for us with the original chef. The replacement dishes were just as good as all our previous visits and it was excellent again! So thanks to the staff for fixing the problem. I'm not sure if they are training a new chef to take over, or as a backup, but they need to be careful as serving bad quality food like that would drive most people to never come back. We knew the food was good from prior experience, so we knew we could ask why the food quality changed. For first time customers, or those that may have ordered to go - if you had bad food today, it may have been a fluke due to the new chef. Service however was a amazing as usual. For all our visits including today, the staff has been kind and always looking for ways to help out and make sure we were having a good experience. So besides the food being good, I would say excellent service is also huge plus here. Don't be fooled with the automated ordering and robot delivering the food into thinking there is no service. The people behind the counter are awesome! Hope management takes care of this new chef issue quickly since their food quality is the main reason people come here. There was a night and day difference between the original food we got today, and the replacement!

Modern Chinese, Ancient Disappointment…read more EverSpring looks great, sounds great, and is priced like it plans to deliver something memorable. Unfortunately, what I'll remember most is how quickly my excitement turned into polite disappointment. The salt and pepper pork chops were...bold. And by bold I mean shockingly salty, like the chef was trying to preserve them for winter. I've had salt and pepper chops more times than I can count, and this version tasted nothing like any of them. Overcooked, oddly flavored, and just completely off. If this was a creative interpretation, creativity may have gone a step too far. Then there was the crispy beef. I say this with sincerity: it was inedible. Not "I'm picky" inedible--burned-breading-that-tastes-like-toasted-mistakes inedible. Each bite delivered a charming note of scorched regret, like someone deep-fried a crouton and called it a day. I stopped eating not because I was full, but because my taste buds filed an HR complaint. And look, if this were cheap comfort food, I'd shrug it off. But this is sit-up-straight-when-the-bill-arrives pricing. For what we paid, I expected at least one dish to make me say, "Okay, this works." That moment never came. The concept is solid, but the food just didn't deliver. I wanted to love it. My taste buds, however, requested an early exit. Everything went to the trash can. Never again.

Massive parking lot so that was easy, one friend went ahead and let them know we had 10 incoming. They made room and we sat immediately. One of the spots that you scan a menu at the table and you review, order and pay all in the app. I was really not familiar with the line up and went with the "House Special Beef Pot Roodle" (Roodles are their rice noodles). It was a weekend only item and I tried that. The noodles came separate from the soup. Over all it was very tasty. The meat was a bit fatty and the soup had tendons too. I took that part home and my wife loved it. I tend to avoid the fatty meat and tendons are not good to me. 10 of us so some of the appetizers got passed around. The smashed cucumbers are excellent, and my buddy also got some friend potatoes of sorts, reminded me of a fat French fry. Because my buddy and I sat at the same table we scanned the same menu, he ordered a bunch of stuff and also House Special Beef Pot Roodle. That confused the kitchen and they asked me if I meant to order 2, I said no and didn't realize I cancelled my buddy's order. Part of the confusion of a large party and many scanned menu orders. My buddy was struggling to order and our initial waiter seemed to not understand my friend and that took a little bit to work out, young lady came from the back and was able to quickly resolve some of the confusion and get questions answered as needed. In the end he had lot of food to explore. One thing that caught my eye was several couples there and sharing a large soup item served with a tray of various food items for the soup. Kind of a date night visual and something that looked very interesting. Several couples around us had that same dish and its got me more curious. Might have to come back with my wife and try this one.

I ordered their most popular dish, the A1 set, but honestly, it didn't really live up to the hype for me. The broth tasted pretty underseasoned overall. From what I understood, you're supposed to mix all the toppings into the soup with the noodles, but even after doing that, I still felt like the flavor was lacking. Yes, they provide seasoning on the side, but personally, I wish the broth already had enough flavor on its own without needing to adjust it myself. Would I come back? Probably not. Nothing really stood out to me enough to return, and it felt more like a one-time experience. Overall, everything was just okay.

This helped us get a table much faster than we would have than if we had just shown up and waited. We ordered the large family meal, and there were 12 of us. We also ordered the Newport Lobster, fish fillet with black bean sauce, and an extra shrimp fried rice. Overall, I think the food was good, and the prices are reasonable (except the lobster, which was pricey, as you might expect from anything listed as "market price"). Most of us in the group thought the fish fillet with black bean sauce was the best. I thought it was very good, but not necessarily fantastic. (There are other Chinese restaurants that do it a little better.) The sauce was very good, but the fish wasn't quite as tender as it can be. Definitely a solid 4 stars. Other dishes were good. I think the scallop soup could have been great for some people, but my wife and I both hate cilantro, and there was a ton of cilantro. The pork was also good, and my friends thought the clams were also really good. I found the fried rice a bit bland. And for both the lobster and the crab, they could have made them a little easier to eat by cracking the shells a bit more for us. I hate fighting with my food ... And there was a fair amount of fighting on these 2 dishes. The lobster cost almost much as all the other dishes combined. It certainly looked amazing. And the sauce was very good. But I found most of it a bit overcooked. Maybe it was our fault for asking for a big one. Maybe a smaller lobster might have been cooked a little less. The great sauce (along with the fighting with the shell) might have covered up the fact that the meat was actually a bit tough and rubbery. I don't think I'd order this again. The service was very friendly and pretty fast. And, again, other than the lobster, the pieces were pretty reasonable.

We ordered the classic dishes, including salt and pepper fried pork chopsand salt and pepper fried shrimp, but the taste this time around left a lot to be desired. These two dishes lacked the crunchiness and flavors that these fried entrees are supposed to showcase. We found the pork chops to be dry and tough, as if it was prepared a while ago and sitting out for some time before it made its way to our table. The shrimp was not impressive either. At least the shaking beef or bo luc lac was good. The beef chunks were tender, and the flavors were on point. Bonus points for the broth that is complimentary during lunch. Also the complimentary orange slices were a nice touch to end our meal. We'd still return for the lobster and noodle when the occasion comes up.

Whenever I'm in Garden Grove, Korean and Vietnamese cuisine will always take precedence. However,…read moremy most recent trip pivoted from the norm, and Noodle Star became the destination. The end result? Reasonable prices, warm service, and very tasty food. Like so many Chinese restaurants, the name and theme is inherently confusing. Up until last year, the place was Harbor Garden and it's rebranded to Noodle Star ever since. The Chinese name ("川粵" aka "Chuan Yue") would imply there is a Sichuan + Cantonese component to the offerings, despite the words "teppanyaki" and handmade noodles (手工麵) noted on the exterior as well as on signs on the interior. Typically any restaurant that dabbles in multiple regional Chinese variations (Sichuan, Cantonese, Shanghainese, Lanzhou, etc.) is a huge flight risk. Surprisingly, it all worked out. All of my orders were from different regions of the country, starting with a Cantonese beef chow fun (乾炒牛河) that was delightfully smokey from the wok hei (#1) and the noodles and beef were silky and smooth. While the noodles aren't as wide as I would have liked, they were still 100% workable in the dish. The Taiwanese style popcorn chicken (鹽酥雞) was wonderfully fried and the chicken was still juicy on the inside. Their napa cabbage + shrimp + pork steamed dumplings (白菜豬肉蝦水餃) were pillowy soft and steamed perfectly. They were plump and not too doughy; which is very appropo for a northern Chinese dish. The biggest surprise may have come from the soup dumplings (小籠包), which had just the right amount of soup and a very delicate dumpling skin that was downright excellent. The service was kind, attentive, and very bilingual with Mandarin and English. Prices might feel high to non-Cali folks, but the spectrum is very much on the Socal average. (#2). Bathrooms were mostly clean and the seating options were plentiful; solid for large and small group action. Parking can be tough on the weekends since it's a strip mall. I already know that I'll be back. If I was able to order 4 regions and they all came out excellent (#3), I can only imagine how excellent the rest of the house special group of dishes will be. __________ (#1) "Essence of the wok" -- it's a thing. (#2) At $15-19 for most dishes. (#3) Did we get lucky?

It was so special and actually my first time trying this style. The crispy shredded potatoes were crunchy and flavorful, really unique and tasty! Overall: good food, fresh ingredients, and great flavors. Definitely coming back to try more dishes!

I found several options, but some were out of my budget and others didn't have great reviews. I came across KPB and spoke with Jerry, who was incredibly helpful and honest. He gave great advice on how much food to order for a group of 18 people. I originally planned to order four party trays (fried rice and three entrées), but he suggested that three trays would be enough. He was also very accommodating and gave me until the morning of the event to finalize my order. I ended up ordering Mongolian beef, Kung Pao chicken, and Young Chow fried rice. Everyone really enjoyed the food, and we even had some leftovers that we were able to enjoy the next day. The food was delicious, the pricing was reasonable, and the service was excellent. Highly recommended--Jerry truly made the catering experience smooth and stress-free!

It brings be back to the 1990's growing up. I ordered their chow mein, spicy orange chicken, salt and pepper shrimp and beef and broccoli. Chow mein was okay. Just how I remembered it to be. I can't complain. It's not the best, but it's to be expected at a place like this. Spicy orange chicken wasn't spicy or as tangy as I'd like. But that's okay. Again, I didn't expect much. The beef and broccoli was just okay as well. What I liked the most about this dish was that the broccoli was still crunchy! Good job guys! Service was quick! I was in and out in less than 7 minutes. Place was clean and people were super friendly. I'd come back for the predictable food.

The food tasted weird, and I keep burping the taste of it hours later. It has literally been making my stomach hurt, and it honestly feels like I got sick from eating here. I do not recommend this place anymore. They used to serve really good food, but now everything tastes bland, and the plate was not properly filled like it used to be. There are definitely better places in Perris, CA that serve more flavorful food. The cashier was also very rude when addressing me about getting a small cup of Hi-C for my child, who needed a drink. I barely poured any, yet the way she approached the situation was unnecessary and unprofessional. Overall, both the food quality and customer service were disappointing.
