    Spicy beef bone special
    Laura L.

Came during lunch on a Sunday. Wait time 30-40 minutes. Food: 10/10 Ordered 2 special beef rib noodles,1 oil noodle, beef shumai and pork shumai. The specials came with tea and salad but we never got our salad. They were really busy and the waitresses were really hustling. They had to bus the tables, deliver food and drinks, and deliver orders. I think they need more floor staff for sure. There was 1 waitress with black hair that was doing everything herself. They didn't have a real way to check in, just a piece of paper you put your name on. Their tables are really odd so you often have to sit with other parties. That was fine with us but there's also an odd indent in the table so it makes it difficult for the person on that side to eat. Food came out pretty quickly after we ordered. There was a lot of confusion on delivery though since they have multiple parties sitting at 1 table and if they don't correct the table # for what is being input, it all just goes to 1 table which is what happened while we were there. We had 1 order of Uni shrimp I really wanted to try but our order was never put in. My kids loved the food so that was a winner for them. The not spicy looks unseasoned but I promise it has an amazing sauce at the bottom. I would def try this place again maybe just not when they're so busy. They def have to reorganize to keep up with busy times.

I just discovered a new spot! I honestly didn't expect to have Xibei right in my neighborhood--so happy This location feels like a more casual branch, focusing on noodles , steamed dumplings , and Chinese burgers (roujiamo) . Perfect for a quick, everyday meal! They're currently in soft opening, and the combo deal is such a steal 18.75 = Braised Beef Rib Oil-Splashed Noodles + Drink + Salad (Which basically means the drink and salad are FREE!) The noodles are insanely fragrant--I even asked for extra chili oil, and it was so worth it‼ The signature beef ribs are super tender and fall right off the bone. Paired with the chewy noodles, it's incredibly satisfying. I finally got to try the Yellow Millet Rice Cake I missed last time in Arcadia Soft and chewy, drizzled with osmanthus syrup--lightly sweet, refreshing, and perfect for cutting through the richness. I liked it so much I ordered another one to go The steamed dumplings are HUGE! Just a heads-up when ordering--thin wrappers, super generous filling Besides pork and beef, they also have sea urchin & shrimp dumplings, which are surprisingly rare here. Super fresh and definitely worth trying I also asked about youmian (oat noodles), which I used to have back in China--the staff said they might add it to the menu soon! Overall, the soft opening combo is a great deal. If you love noodles and carb-heavy comfort food, this place is definitely worth checking out‼

Wow! We had the most amazing hand pulled chili noodles here. Its packed full of flavors and very easy to eat. We went with their most popular chili oil beef rib noodles, popcorn chicken, and their crunchy pancake wrap braised pork sandwich? Forgot what it was called, but everything was delicious. A must try!

Very delicious and clean ,great price and excellent service , stop by to try especially if you are local

    Xiao Long Bao (Soup Dumplings)(8pcs)-(8pcs)

Casual dining experience with lots of community seating options as well as to go ordering. Food comes out made to order. We ordered the "soft opening promo" including jasmine tea, a side salad, and the Beef Short Rib Oil Splashed Hand-Pulled Noodles! The deal is great with the salad and drink essentially being free. Portions were large and we split everything while still leaving full. Had a few hiccups with our order as the xiao long bao was forgotten and the uni and shrimp shumai ran out and needed to be substituted, after paying. Staff was apologetic and offered a coupon for our return, but I am excited to return to finally get to try the uni and shrimp shumai, because I heard great things. The chili oil pulled noodles were by far the most flavorful thing on the menu. Soft and tender beef, good inclusion of vegetables such as bean sprouts and bok choy and low spice level, but good depth of flavors. The soup dumplings were great, but I would skip the cucumber salad as it wasn't noteworthy.

Minced Pork Hand Pulled Noodle (2 servings eaten). Container was packed full in the beginning.

First time, will try again. It was more regional style than generic PF Chang / Panda style chinese Minced Pork Hand Pulled noodles were good with the fresh noodles having the texture you'd expect. 5-spice is the predominant flavor. Its pork belly and more diced than minced so you get those fatty bits. Scallion pancake was ok, crispy and light, but had the least amount of scallion i've had. I'd eat it again, but it's more like paratha. Chinese Pork Burger was fun. Basically a Chinese pulled pork sandwich. 5-spice and pork was the flavor in a light fluffy/crispy bun. Could be a small meal on it's own. Pork Dumplings were really good with big pieces of ground meat and veg. The broth runs out when you bite kinda like XLB so eat with care. They are taking a beating on Google Maps reviews but many of those reviews don't make since, calling out waiting for table service, when there isn't any (order at the counter then sit). Either way they seemed to have worked out the Grand Opening kinks by the time we visited.

Sweet and chili wings. Really good

We got so excited to try the food that I forgot to take pictures of the meals and only got the dessert! The classic oil noodles were so good! They do have a combo with a drink and salad. Which we didn't want the jasmine tea drink and the waiter wouldn't let us switch. However the gentleman did say we can switch but we got charged for it anyways. So we payed for 4 drinks that we didn't like. Seems like the base for all drinks is Jasmine tea and we aren't fans. Skip the drink Plenty of space to sit. To go orders also available. Service was fast. Clean/new place.

The food is super yummy and delicious. I feel like I go back to China and enjoy hometown food

This spot really has potential to be a five star restaurant - the food here is one of the best, very authentic Chinese food in Orange County. The beef noodles were very tasty and well seasoned - noodles themselves were nice and chewy with an amazing texture. The dumplings were also served very fresh and dumpling wrapper was super fresh too and stuffed with a lot of filling. Also enjoyed the jasmine green tea that came with the combo meal. The tomato oat noodles also had amazing texture and soup was comforting. The only reason for the 4 star was the service was really slow despite there not being many people in the restaurant. Instead of having each dish come out at a regular pace, we finished each dish one by one and waited a while for the next to come (we were also a little disappointed that a table that came in after us with the same number of party got two of their dumpling dishes served before us despite us only ordering three dumplings). When the server checked in on us, she told us they were out of dumpling skin for one specific type of dumpling even though we ordered another style. So I believe they may have forgot our order or thought it was another dumpling dishes on accident, which an apology would have sufficed. However they recently opened so will give them benefit of the doubt - it felt a little hectic and slow with the pace of the food coming. But overall I would come back when they've been open a little longer and have worked out the kinks because of how delicious everything was! Would still highly recommend the food here.

Oil splashed noodles. Look at how sad this looks because the bowl is too deep so none of the oil actually sits on the noodles.

UPDATE: owner replied to my original review below, honestly sounds like the reply was AI-generated. However, hopefully positive changes are made and xibei eatery improves. I really wanted to support and like this spot....but a lot has to improve. Here is my take: The way the ordering system operates right now sucks. You have an order at the front system, but don't have someone dedicate only to the register. You don't even have a bell or something to notify the staff that there are customers in line, so customers either stand there sheepishly waiting or they go have a seat and are escorted back to the front to order. Just really inefficient and baffling. I could tell that the Chinese customer that arrived right after us was pissed when he got escorted back to the front. Next, the person taking orders at the front has good energy and was the only positive thing about my whole experience. I really felt bad for her because she had to both take orders at the front, handle payment, and serve dishes. You have this girl running around everywhere knowing that if customers get pissed, its probably going to be at her, unjustly, because that girl is one of the only people customers are interacting with. Regarding the food: if you're going to serve those oil splashed noodles, figure out the portion or serving bowl. The current bowl ya'll are using is too deep and better used for soup noodles. The amount of noodles you give is not set up to soak up the oil and flavor since the oil just sits at the bottom since the bowl is too deep and noodles are too thick to be able to mop up the flavor. Ya'll are adding new menu items when you don't have your main menu items figured out yet. This impacts your front of house as well as your customers because there are so many items with modifications yet whatever comes out to the guests is subpar. Also, I ordered the side-size of the braised pork belly and rice, all that came out was the pork which is confusing. Figure out your identity, your portions, and your staffing. I want to root for this spot but this first experience was genuinely really bad. I came here with my brother and spent 60$ for 2 people and we left baffled+ disappointed. i just remembered the cashier's name: Blue. Blue was great, and had good energy. Treat them well and get them some support. Ya'll are wrong for having her run around while handling ordering and cash handling. If ya'll can't handle running 3 tables competently, how are you supposed to handle a rush or a weekend properly? The food wasn't horrible, but there are so many details about the food that have to be figured out. Please read my review and please make changes.

    Oil splashed noodles

Finally something took over where the Bite Mi was located. The hand pulled noodles caught our eyes, and we finally got a chance to stop and try their food. Since they are still in their soft opening phase, it seems like they might have a limited menu still. We ordered a few things for takeout since they were taking professional pictures of their food. We ordered the oil splashed noodles, the scallion pancakes, salt and pepper chicken, hot and sour soup, and a jasmine milk tea. The oil splashed noodles were the star of the meal. You can really tell that the noodles are hand pulled and made to order. Just a heads up, they the pack quite a punch, so be warned. The salt and pepper chicken was standard, just also packed quite a kick compared to others we have had. The scallion pancakes were nice and crispy. The hot and sour soup was quite good, and we got a generous portion for it being the small size. The jasmine milk tea was good, not too sweet but a tad bit over steeped. We also got two jumbo dumplings with our order, an offer they have for their soft opening. You can see them being made fresh. Definitely a great place to get some delicious Chinese food, just be warned; it can get kind of spicy. Looking forward to trying some of their other dishes soon

    So good.

We came with reservations on Saturday night before Mother's Day. The first thing I thought when I walked in was that there was a live band playing with bad speakers because the music was so loud. But when I saw there was no band, I thought maybe their speakers were broken because the music had that scratchiness to it. Then I realized it was a DJ spinning vinyls with foreign music from the 1950's with that scratchy vintage sound on full blast (think shrill trumpets and shrill voices.) Now don't get me wrong, the music was wonderful and very unique ( again, a lot of foreign songs) with a few I even knew...my husband and I loved most of the songs that were played. HOWEVER not when it's so loud that we can't even hear our own thoughts! I felt annoyed within the first 5 minutes of being seated when my family and I had to keep repeating ourselves, and my husband even went to check the rest of the place to see if it was any quieter anywhere else, but it was blaring music everywhere. I ended up ordering for my whole table of 8 people because we couldn't even hear each other over the music to make suggestions on what to order. My adult kids (all in their 20's) kept apologizing for recommending this place for my mother's day dinner. But oh my, the food was delicious---practically everything I ordered was amazing! OMG the hangar steak skewers, pork belly skewers, iberico pork secreto steak, little gem salad, and their bread with goatmilk -butter were my faves! We also had the short ribs and the pork fried rice with prawns but they were mid...nothing to write home about. This would've been a great place to come have a drink at the bar for happy hour or even late at night on a weekend since they open until 1am on thursday, friday, saturday... but don't come for dinner unless you bring earplugs and learn sign language or know how to read lips because there will be no conversations over dinner unless it's just to the person sitting next to you. Even so, I noticed the young couple next to us looking very annoyed-- they got up and left after quickly finishing up their one cocktail while the speakers blared out an instrumental piece of a girl moaning the whole time until she climaxed. Heck---I'll have whatever SHE'S having lol So plz keep the music down several notches until after 10pm, and let the rest of us enjoy our dinner so that we can sing praises on how delicious everything was. Until you do, I think I'll cross this place off my list for now and revisit again sometime in the FAR future.

The poke pizza will be my new go-to. I even liked it better than the mala lamb pizza I tried last time, which is saying a lot because I reallyyyyyy enjoyed that one. I'd say both are amazing options, but I liked that the poke pizza came with a lot of veg, felt lighter and I just love poke. We also tried the mentaiko pizza which was amazing, honestly you can't go wrong with any of the pizzas at Ini. We reordered the spicy miso carbonara, which is always a favorite. It tastes like shin ramen powder in the best way possible. Our server told us that the beet salad is a new menu item so they're still working on perfecting the recipe, so maybe wait a little until ordering this one. I thought the portion overall was a little small, but I loved the goat-ricotta cheese on the bottom. I feel like I'm a little biased because I don't really like beets, but everyone else at my table seemed to enjoy.

Okay, I need to talk about Sona Fusion because we had the BEST time here and I don't want you to miss it. First things first -- this place is only 10 minutes from Disneyland, which already makes it a win. And if you're a cast member, show your ID because they give you 10% off. How cool is that?! Here's everything we ordered: Starters & Salads * Calamari * Golden Pear Salad Entrées * Lomo Saltado Shaken Fries * Filet Mignon and Mushroom * Signature Vietnamese Pho * Popcorn Chicken with Truffle Fries Drinks * Thai Tea * Mango Lychee Tea * Strawberry Mango Tea We tried half the menu and loved every single bite. Can we also talk about the men? The variety is there and small and not overwhelming. There's something for everyone without giving you decision fatigue. My picky eater? He demolished the popcorn chicken and truffle fries. The pho -- the meat was so tender it was literally falling off the bone. The pear salad was the perfect light balance to all the richness. Chef's kiss. Let me talk about the space because this is a big deal for families. Our baby was sleeping and we really needed to keep her in the stroller -- and it was no problem at all. The inside is super spacious and they even have a back room, so we were able to park her stroller right next to our table without disrupting anyone. It was so easy to make it work for us as a family and that is not something I take for granted. This is exactly why families need to try Sona Fusion. Look, there are probably a lot of options near Disneyland but let's be honest -- it's usually fast food. This was such a perfect find because not only is the food delicious, but there's genuinely something for everyone. On these trips I'm always on the hunt for good Asian food and I'm so glad we ended up here without having to drive too far from the hotel. We left with our bellies full, Asian food craving completely satisfied, and honestly so ready to enjoy the rest of the week of park food. AND they're open until 1:30 AM, so whether you're heading here before the park or after, Sona Fusion has you covered. So many possibilities and honestly? I'm so excited for you to try it.

The meat is tender, and the noodles are cooked to a nice al dente such that throughout the course of the eating experience, it does soften a bit to a perfect texture in the hot broth. Speaking of the broth, it is clean, light, yet so flavorful. It needs no sriracha sauce or hoisin sauce. I've also tried the pho shaken style, which added even more depth and flavor to the broth. The charred vegetables and the oil that it's cooked in adds even more complexity to the broth. Naturally, it does make the broth a little heavier, but that's not a bad thing and it's definitely worth trying at least once. The truffle fries are also great. It comes with ketchup, a green sauce, and an orange sauce. All of these sauces are great, but the orange sauce is really special to me, probably my favorite out of the three sauces. I'm excited to come back and try their other dishes, like the various garlic noodle dishes they have. Service is good and the ambiance has a nice, clean, modern look and feel to it.

Mother's Day treat 4.3* rating out of 3,245 reviews (at the time of writing). Now I know why this place has high rating and the long line after trying it out for the first time. The restaurant looks small from the exterior, but it's actually extended to the back and quite spacious as you enter. Service was excellent, quick, friendly and welcoming. The Pho was excellent, the broth was rich and sweet. The portion of the noodle was just nice for 1-time serving. However, you can have as much noodle (not the broth) re-fills as you like. The beef very tender and melts in your mouth. Will be back to try the Peruvian food next time.

The finger foods was Asian‑inspired, with flavors like black sesame, curry, and other creative twists that made each bite feel unique. Every piece was thoughtfully made, rich, and decadent without feeling repetitive, and the presentation was beautiful across the board. It definitely felt like a more elevated, modern take on afternoon tea. The tea itself, however, fell a bit short for me. I ordered a non‑caffeinated chrysanthemum tea, which unfortunately didn't have much depth or flavor. My friend's Darjeeling was better, but still not as rich or complex as I've had elsewhere. Given how strong the Asian inspiration is in the food, it would've been nice to see more thoughtful decaf tea options in that same direction, like decaf sencha, barley tea, or kuromamecha, to better match the concept. Price: The afternoon tea service is prix fixe at around $45 per person, which includes a curated set of savory bites, desserts, and a pot of tea. For the quality and creativity of the food, the price feels pretty reasonable compared to other OC tea services, though the tea itself didn't quite meet the same level as the food. Ambiance: The space is bright, warm, and inviting, with a nice amount of natural sunlight coming in that makes it feel cozy rather than stuffy. There are subtle Asian design elements woven into the décor, giving it a modern, slightly upscale feel without being overly formal. It's a great spot to catch up with friends and linger over tea. Service: Service was good, friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. Even during a busy service, staff remained kind and approachable, which added to the overall relaxed vibe. Parking: Parking can take a bit of effort. Since it's located on a busy street in Orange, you may need to circle around the roundabout or park a little farther away and walk over. Not impossible, but definitely something to plan for, especially on weekends.

It's definitely a solid spot that we visit often. Tom Yum Ramen -- 5/5 This is a must try. It's spicy, unique, and just perfect. Pro Tip: They actually have unlimited noodle refills, so you definitely won't leave hungry. Beef Belly Curry Bowl -- 3/5 The flavor was actually delicious, but the temperature was a total fail. The ramen came out steaming hot first, but this bowl came out lukewarm. I felt guilty saying something, but I told them it wasn't hot and they made it again. Even the second one came out lukewarm! I think they think if the rice is hot then the curry is fine, but it really wasn't. I was going to say the service was great, but I was disappointed they didn't really listen or change their cooking method the second time. Karaage -- 5/5 Everything you want in karaage. It was super crispy and delicious, and the sauce it comes with is great. Final Thoughts: I'd still come back because the ramen and the vibes are so good, but I'd probably stick to the steaming hot dishes next time and skip the bowls. It's a solid spot for a night out, just hope your food comes out hot!
