The award-winning fish tacos are hands down my favorite item on the menu. The crispy pastrami rolls are another must-order. They're unique & delicious. Caesar salad is so good & beautifully plated. We recently tried An's Famous Roasted Crab. While it was good, it wasn't my favorite dish and didn't taste quite as fresh especially for the price. For drinks, if you're a Hennessy lover like I am... I always enjoy starting the meal with a shot. If you're in the mood for something a little more elevated, the Truffle Sidecar is worth trying. First time here and my party of two got to experience Bia Hoi (a marketplace! Not buffet, said Peter the owner/chef). It was a lovely atmosphere and in short, we would come back - maybe for regular menu. Reservations for Bia Hoi are 1st Sundays of the month but Peter shared that they may expand to more days as the reception has been so positive! It's $83-ish/person ($65 for the brunch, 20% gratuity- which was added on the receipt, and tax). There's also an option of adding on alcohol (mostly beer) for $25/person. Arriving at 11am, they checked people in and then once servers greeted the table, the table went of grab their food. I will say since it opens at 11am, everyone basically got food at the same time so we stood in line for about 10 mins for the first 2 stations. After that, it was more spread out in terms of crowding of the stations. There's basically 4 stations: dumplings, pho/bun bowl, waffles/souffles/rice & waygu, and prime rib/fish. Keep in mind you get one complimentary drink and there may be a couple items that you need to tell your server to put in an order for (currently biscuit and sea bream fish, if it doesn't change). Best items: hands down the butter fish, sea bream fish, and soufflé/pancake with maple cream; was not a fan of the waygu dumplings (tasted like a cheeseburger and that's not something I personally want in a dumpling). Peter was on the prime rib carving station and he was just so energetic and such a vibe. He came around to tables about an hour or so in and that's how we learned it's his restaurant. Later, as I went in to grab more food, he piled on more of the things I was mentioning in our conversation - just so generous, I felt very welcomed and at home. HH starts at 3 pm so we were surprised to hear that the top 3 items on the menu were not available at 3:20 pm. It's not like they sold out of them so quickly as we were 1 of 2 couples in the restaurant. We wanted to at least try something that was available so we opted for the tuna mini tacos for $10. They were actually very good with a pear slice inside. Hence for the 3 star rating or it would have been less. I haven't been back in a while and somehow this time I felt disappointed. I think we had a bad start with the famous Garlic Noodles that came first. It looked so plain and small for $22. I took a bite and although the noodle texture was good but there was almost no flavor. We ended up returning the dish and had it taken off our bill. Luckily the second dish was the butterfish, which lived up to my expectations. Perfectly tender and flaky fish and crunchy bok choy on a bed of forbidden rice. All very well flavored. We also ordered the 8 oz filet mignon medium rare with Vietnamese black pepper sauce and roasted garlic. This was nicely presented and came out on a sizzling salt plate. The filet was pre sliced with the inside pieces cooked nicely but the outermost pieces were a little overcooked...probably because I left it on the sizzling plate for too long. The kimchi dumplings were pretty good and smelled great coming out. However it was such a small dish with 4 small dumplings for $18. Celebrated my birthday today at Anqi's inaugural Sunday brunch today and we were treated to a phenomenal experience. The staff was so friendly from our server, Carlos, to our prime rib carver, Peter. The sampling of so many different dishes featured on the restaurant menu made this a great event. My personal favorites included the shrimp and lobster dumpling and the perfectly cooked medium rare prime rib in the Au jus. The beef pho soup was delicious when topped with prime rib. The garlic fried rice paired great with the sea bass with a side of the arugula/snap pea salad and lemongrass chicken. The food stations were nestled very neatly into their banquet room. We've been here a few times. The butterfish dish has been consistently amazing! Fillet mignon on a Himalaya salt bed without fresh herbs and baked whole bulb of garlic was excellent! Steak was cooked to requested temperature. Fillet had plenty of flavor, sauce was really optional. I know they are famous for the garlic noodles, but it was quite disappointing. Let me start with what this place absolutely nails: the ambiance. Walking in felt like stumbling into an enchanted forest at midnight, think fairy tale vibes, moody lighting, and decor so gorgeous I actually stopped mid-step to take it all in. Truly, whoever designed this space deserves their own Michelin star. Now... the food. The shrimp dumplings were fine. The shrimp were a respectable size, no complaints there, but "fine" and "memorable" are very different zip codes, and these stayed firmly in the former. The garlic noodles arrived looking a little lonely (small portion) with noodles that were slightly past their ideal moment of glory, accompanied by 4 whole shrimp. For $55. I'll let that marinate. The filet mignon dumpling was probably the highlight of the food lineup, genuinely decent, though it leaned a touch salty, like the seasoning had big ambitions. Still totally edible, just not the refined experience the price tag implies. On the bright side, the service was solid and shoutout to my server who steered me toward a pear martini that was, honestly, a little gem of a drink. They clearly know their cocktails. Bottom line: come for the atmosphere, stay for a cocktail, and maybe grab dinner somewhere else after. It's served on a salt block, which is a nice presentation, but for my personal taste it came out a bit too salty. I made reservations for last Monday at 1 PM for five people or at least I thought I did. It must not have went through because they did not have my reservation. However, not a problem as the restaurant was not crowded. Two of us came for the Roasted Crab, but it must've been a while ago cause the price is now $125. I love this place! I have celebrated many milestones with them-birthdays, graduations, anniversaries. The service is always professional and excellent. It's located in the Bloomingdales in the South Coast Plaza mall so its always nice to shop around and come here afterwards for a nice meal. Every dish they have has never missed the spot. I like to take my kids to a nice dinner to give us an opportunity to slow down, talk, and go over some dining etiquette, and it's always at this time that I realize I may not be the best person to teach them about dining etiquette but they roll with it. The service was relaxed so it gave us time to look over the menu, order and appetizer, and mull over if we are getting too much food or not. Unlike most Asian restaurants where meals are family style, this is a high-end dining experience and maybe it was not meant to be family style but we did it that way. Friends raved about the quality of the food but could never find the time to dine so it was fitting they would play host to them and 40 other friends for a birthday celebration. Garlic Noodles had a great flavor and had An's secret sauce. Grilled Prawns, Garlic Rice, and Seasonal Wok Veggies. Second Course was GREAT.... Misoyaki Butterfish was flakey and served with this Reed Cargo Rice and Boo Choy. The Peking chicken with the Ginger Truffle Scallion sauce was so good. We had Roasted Cauliflower and Brussel Sprouts that were good along with some Cheddar Potato Puree to be served along with the Tomahawk Wagyu Ribeye that served up on a Sizzling block. The vibe is on point. I feel like I'm entering another beautiful realm when I walk in. Completely forget that you are at the mall. Drinks were great and I ordered the shrimp garlic noodles. I would def try the steak next time. Service was on point with the wait staff being Attentive and patient while we decided what we wanted. Very large and sexy venue serving Asian fusion. Conveniently located inside South Coast mall. Overall giving it a 3.5 rating most of which comes from the garlic noodles and grilled octopus and papaya salad. 1. Grilled octopus and papaya salad: generous portion of perfectly cooked chewy octopus bite sized meat mixed in with fresh papaya stripes, cherry tomatoes and I believe they were pepper stripes. Tasting very fresh, healthy, and refreshing. 2. Garlic noodles with chicken: what can I say very delicious stir fried noodles with an aroma of garlic flavoring. Added the chicken which I thought was the perfect touch. However if you're like me can have this dish alone. Needs a mix with another spicy dish or fresh veggie included dish. 3. Tombo Tuna taco: essentially mashed tuna (similar to how they make spicy tuna rolls) stuffed in taco shell garnished with Xavier and slice of avocado. Honestly didn't quite understand the hype around this one. Would pass next time 4. Shrimp and lobster dumplings: nothing special. 5. Oh yes and their cocktails are on another level. Must try them. The service, decor, plating, flavor, and ambiance are all of high standard, making the restaurant suitable for both business and romantic dinners. Paired with cherry tomatoes, the Shrimp & Lobster Dumplings, prepared with Crème Fraîche and Lemongrass Saffron Nage, were rich and delicately flavored. Although pricey at $18 for four dumplings, they were worth it. The three award-winning Tombo Tuna Tacos, priced at $21, were seasoned with Yuzu Koshō and contained a small amount of truffle and caviar. They tasted alright. However, the quality of the taco shells was better than those found in typical Mexican restaurants. The taco shells were remarkably thin and crispy, requiring minimal effort to chew, thus suitable for people with dental issues. The Misoyaki Butterfish was succulent. The Dijon-Misoyaki Glaze had a slightly sweet taste, but it was refined and complex, much better than the simple sweetness found in typical American-Chinese restaurants. What I appreciated most was the rice served alongside the miso fish. The red cargo rice, infused with the subtle fragrance of Thai herbs, was remarkably aromatic, even on its own. Indeed, this dish justified its high price of $42. For dessert, Warm Beignets. Sprinkled with powdered sugar and with a fried pastry texture, they were, well, like a donut without a hole in the middle. They were served with a super-rich Vietnamese Coffee Crème Anglaise. Glad I got Tahitian Vanilla Bean Ice Cream ($5 extra) to balance the sweetness. Not being a fan of alcohol, I ordered a Lychee Cloud mocktail containing lychee, coconut, pineapple, and yuzu rose water. It had a nice balance of slight sourness and sweetness, and was quite enjoyable. Even small details like the straw showcased their attention to refinement. It seemed to be specially made, with just the right length and thickness. Its visual appeal and texture were superior to the cheap straws found in bubble tea shops. The combination of soft yellow warm light and flora under a clear glass tabletop makes beautiful photographs. Also, while I was busy taking photos and my food got cold, the waiter thoughtfully offered to reheat it in the kitchen for me. 服務，擺盤，口味，氣氛每項皆高水準，商業宴客或約會交友皆適宜。 龍蝦蒸餃以鮮奶油和檸檬草番紅花醬汁調製，搭配櫻桃番茄食用很美味。四顆蒸餃18美金雖貴但值得。 三份要價21美金，號稱曾贏過獎項的金槍魚泥玉米餅口味還行，但餅皮製作水準遠勝一般墨西哥餐廳，又薄又脆，無須費力即可輕易嚼碎，牙齒不好的人亦可放心食用。 味增烤鱈魚肉香濃滑嫩。法式芥末和日式味增的口感偏甜，但細膩有深度，絕非坊間美式中餐的單一甜味可比。 我最欣賞的是米飯。紅糙米蘊含泰式香草的清香，就算不配醬汁和魚肉，拿來單吃細品依然美味。嗯，這道料理對得起42美金的高價。 飯後甜點溫熱法式貝涅餅。灑上糖粉和糕餅的油炸酥脆口感，嗯，像是中間沒洞的甜甜圈，附上一碟超濃的越式咖啡奶油蘸醬。還好另加5美金叫了球塔希提香草冰淇淋蘸餅吃，否則真的超甜膩。 不愛喝酒，所以叫了杯含荔枝/椰子/菠蘿/柚子玫瑰水的無酒精飲料，微酸微甜不錯喝。此外，連吸管這種小東西也體現其細膩之處。似乎是特製的，長度和細度剛好，視覺感和質感亦比手搖店那種廉價吸管更好。 搭配淡黃暖光和透明玻璃桌面下的花草拍攝很美。此外，忙著拍照而飯菜冷掉，侍者還主動體貼地幫我回廚加熱。 read more

Flavorful food, nice service, easy parking and nice vibes. The food here has improved over the years and the quality and flavor is much better. Great option for a pre-theater meal! Highly recommend their famous tuna tacos, truffle gem Caesar and the wok vegetables. read more
