You know what, they had the Brodard spring rolls, which for me, worth the stopping in alone. Parking a bit tricky and the vibes are a bit "reclaimed Applebees", but the staff were friendly, the place spotlessly clean, the food delicious and the prices reasonable, especially for this neighborhood. I'd go back...

"Pho Ga" Chicken Noodle Soup

Went here with my girlfriend on a Saturday evening and we were seated quickly! Also this restaurant is very beautiful inside. The staff is also very friendly and helpful especially when it came to asking about food allergies which I appreciate very much. I ordered the "pho ga" chicken noodle soup and edamame dumplings. The Pho was good and the chicken broth was flavorful and the chicken was tender. Overall pretty standard for a pho. I've never had edamame dumplings before and was excited to try them and enjoyed them very much! They were tasty and they gave a good amount as well!

This is a beautiful restaurant with helpful staff and pretty good food! Our server continued to check on us and was helpful regarding food allergies! My boyfriend and I went on a Saturday evening around 5pm and we were able to be seated right away. It did get busier as the evening went on! We each got an order of pho, I got the veggie & tofu one with chicken broth (though vegetarian broth is available). But we actually started with an order of edamame dumplings. I didn't think I was going to like these as much as I did but they were flavorful and unique because of the edamame filling! The dipping sauce was a nice soy sauce with just the right amount of sweetness. The pho was pretty standard but I do appreciate they gave a fair amount of noodles and the veggies and herbs were fresh. I would've preferred a fried tofu over a silken tofu but I suppose this was healthier haha!

Everything went well! The food was good and the service was good! It has a nice ambiance! Very modern style! The pad thai was good specially on rainy days which when we went there it was cloudy! The soup base isn't as authentic or maybe it was just me I don't like my broth to be too sweet and this was the case. The pad see ew was excellent! I wish there was more bok choy. Last but not least the Traditional Vietnamese eggroll! It was delicious! It is my favorite eggroll and the dip sauce was great too! I will be back for these and the pad see ew and the eggrolls! I would highly recommend this restaurant it is a comfortable place and you'll enjoy your food even when you go and eat by yourself! Just the hardest part was the parking... other than that IT SURELY IS WORTH THE DRIVE!

If you are looking some authentic Asian Thai and Viet fusion delights then Bamboo Bistro is a great location. Fancy decor with a bar and plenty of seating. Their staff is super friendly. We ordered items to share and they brought us extra bowls and utensils for it. Was a real delight to see a nicely decorated Asian restaurant with reasonable pricing. I heard they had excellent desserts too. The table beside me was really raving about it so I'll have to come back and try that along with some coffee.

FOOD: The food here is soooo delicious! I've been here a few times and everything I've had here has been great! So fresh and flavorful! This time we got the Vegetable egg rolls, Vietnamese egg rolls, Crispy Noodles with Beef, Cashew Chicken, Tofu salad, and Vegetable Fried rice. For dessert, we tried the fruit salad and sesame balls. Everything was wonderful! SERVICE; The service was great! Our server was very nice and helpful. AMBIANCE/DECOR: It's really nice inside. They've actually extended the inside so it's bigger, which is great because they get so busy all the time. I'll definitely continue to come back here when I am craving Thai/Vietnamese food!

Didn't know that this was related to Brodard, the spring roll are amazing! Also had the Pad Thai with beef and it was very flavorful, not too oily.

Woah - who knew Newport Beach area would have such a good asian spot! Everything here was very flavorful and the fish sauce was superb. The best part is the fact that they allow dogs in their outdoor seating. There are two tables outside, one is shaded by the awning connected to the building and the other outdoor table is shaded by umbrellas. Back to the food. I came with three other people and we ordered quite a bit of food: Grilled pork spring rolls - so good! I love grilled pork so this was one of my favorite dishes. I saw a bag that said brodard so I'm wondering if that owner is part owner of this restaurant too. If that's the case, then we definitely know what it's so good! Shrimp spring rolls - my cousins favorite. It's good but I am generally not a huge fan of the shrimp. My preference is the grilled pork. Chicken wings - It's good but I would probably pass on this next time. They give lots of onion which tastes great with some rice. Green curry - one of my other favorites. So tasty! Can't complain. Another plus is that it has eggplant in there (which I love). Perfectly cooked and well made. Eggplant and shrimp with rice - one of my cousins favorite dish but I just like it because again, there's eggplant! You are supposed to pour fish sauce over the dish but for me it's a bit too salty if I do that. Overall also a good dish if you want to try something new. Vermicelli with eggrolls - pretty good! Fish sauce and eggrolls are everything for this dish and it did not disappoint. Mango sticky rice - we order two of these so each two people can share one plate. It was sooooo good! Please don't skip this during your meal. I was only able to eat one bite of it because I was so full but that one bite was everything. The sticky rice was so well made and it was still warm. The coconut sauce wasn't super sweet and complemented the dish. The mangoes were also perfect and fresh. Overall, so good. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. I would definitely come back here again. There is street parking around the area and it was easy for us to find parking around 6pm. Lots of people coming in and out.

Beef and rice

Very good! Wasn't too saucy which most Asian food is but this was perfect amount of sauce and light. The chicken dumplings were also very good!

Great food and service. Chris at the bar was really nice and chatted me up. We talked about food in the area and his travels to Asia. Food was great but i'll be back to sit at the bar with Chris and talk vietnamese ice coffee. Highly recommend this place for the atmosphere as well.

First time at this wonderful bistro, it came highly recommended by our friends who are frequent diners. The food is so flavorful and delicious and I must say you gotta love the service our waiter , Lam took such great care of us. I could not decide if I wanted to have the delicious smelling curries that kept coming to the different tables or the chicken pad Thai I chose the chicken pad Thai we also had the edamame dumplings which were divine as well as some of the shrimp wraps. Everything was so yummy. The garlic noodles were just a little bit shy on the garlic, but everything else was just delicious if you have an opportunity to have their lychee Jasmine tea it is perfection and not too sweet. Can't wait to come back with a group of friends.

Beautiful restaurant. Definitely need to try the shrimp rolls. So tasty. Staff were friendly. Parked on the street. I love their lunch combo. I ordered the chicken pho with shrimp roll. Pho was tasty.

Garlic Noodles with Seafood

After watching a Pop Warner football game, an early evening Saturday dinner place is difficult to find because this area is full of people and reservations is mandatory if you want to eat at a popular restaurant. We went ahead and chanced this popular eatery in CDM - Corona Del Mar. Luckily, we got there ahead of the crowd and were able to get a reservation. We waited for a good 30 minutes before we got seated. Before that though we were told to move to a "waiting area" - just a small space away from the front door. It is kind of small restaurant but oh, so busy and the food is outstanding. So, after we got seated, service was lightning fast and they want your order quick as well. The garlic noodles that I ordered were perfectly cooked and delicious! The giant prawns were overcooked and a bit dry but I forgave them for that because of how the garlic noodles were prepared. It was flavorful and not as garlicky like others. Eating out in CDM is always great. I've never had a bad meal anywhere here. One caveat about this place though. They don't do refills for soda or tea Refill - it's another charge. They can refill water for free when asked for it. So weird! Overall, the garlic noodles were a great draw and some of their menu items were intriguing and even interesting. If we come this way in the next few months, we might come back here. However, there are so many great restaurants here, we will probably try the others.

When booking, I had the option of dining , chef's table, or patio seating. I specifically chose the dining since my daughter loves creating content, and the indoor ambiance is absolutely beautiful for photos. The hostess seated us on the patio, and I mentioned that I had selected dining. I was told that seating is based on first availability, which was a little disappointing, especially since the restaurant is right on the water and by 7:30 PM it was getting pretty chilly. While they do have heaters outside, sitting in gusty winds with the smell of gas (especially after a fresh trip to the hairdresser!) just wasn't ideal. My daughter went back to the car to grab a blanket. Thankfully, the hostess noticed my discomfort and came back shortly after saying, "Donna, we have another table further down that's out of the wind and under a heat lamp." That small gesture made a big difference, and honestly, that's when the experience started to turn around. From there, things only got better. When our entrées arrived, our waiter Nick realized we had never received our appetizers. Without hesitation, he assured us he would make it right, and he absolutely did. He brought out a selection of cheeses for us to sample, which led to us ordering a caviar bump paired with champagne (highly recommend!). To top it all off, he surprised my daughter with olive cake and fresh berries to celebrate her birthday. Such a thoughtful touch. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. Not just because the food was amazing, but because of the attention to detail and how seriously they take the overall dining experience. Parking is available in a nearby garage, and they validate the first 90 minutes, which is a nice bonus.

I had this place bookmarked on Yelp since November when it was all dressed up for the holidays. The…read morepictures of the interior looked beautiful and the food looked great. Yesterday, I came here for my birthday lunch with my mom after she made a reservation, and honestly, I wish we had just gone somewhere else. We sat down right at our 1:00 reservation and then waited 35 minutes just to get a drink menu. Not food. Not to order. Just the menu for drinks. After we finally ordered, the champagne showed up about 20 minutes later. It was served in wine glasses, which feels like basic wine bar knowledge, but apparently not here. When we asked to switch them to champagne glasses, the waiter brought out smaller wine glasses. Not exactly good etiquette for a place that leans so heavily on its bar concept. The whipped ricotta appetizer came out even later, around the 65 minute mark. As an appetizer. It was fine, probably the best thing we had, but "fine" after that kind of wait is not a positive. From there, everything just dragged. It took almost an hour for my mom's meatballs to come out, and when they did, they were raw. Not slightly underdone. Fully pink in the middle. She sent them back and was so turned off she didn't even want to eat anything else. I ordered a salad and specifically asked for light dressing. What I got was the opposite. It was drenched in a thick, heavy dressing that made the whole thing borderline inedible and the lettuce soggy. After our food, I tried to order drip coffee, which they didn't have, so I settled for an Americano. I asked for warm cream, which I've had done at plenty of places, and somehow it came out clotted. If you know anything about coffee, that shouldn't happen. At this point, we had been there for over two and a half hours. For a salad, an appetizer, and four raw meatballs. The server was very nice and doing his best with being busy. BUT, the overall operation felt completely disorganized and untrained. We weren't the only ones either. The couple next to us was also complaining after waiting 40 minutes just to order breakfast items. To make it even better, parking is only comped for 90 minutes. So because of their slow service, we ended up paying for parking on top of overpriced, underwhelming food. What should have been a 45 minute lunch turned into a 2.5 hour ordeal. The bathroom also wasn't clean either time I went, which pretty much sums up the lack of attention to detail across the board. The only slightly redeeming part was the crème brûlée, which was... fine. Not amazing. Just fine. It's a pretty space. I'll give them that. But that's about where the positives end. The food is not good, the timing is unacceptable, and the whole experience feels like Instagram style over quality and substance. Definitely not worth the money, and not somewhere I'd ever go back to.

It's waterfront and can be accessed via the boardwalk (it's behind the street-side shops). Parking can be tough and very expensive - you'll likely have to park in the structure and walk over. Make sure to take your ticket with you for validation. Seating is available inside and outside on their covered patio. Plenty of space for parties of all sizes. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to make a same-day reservation for a Sunday afternoon. They had plenty of open seating even when we got there. Tables were very dirty. They have a lot of work to do - it seems like months if not years of food, dust, and salty moist air mixed together and collected in the creases in the tables, on the walls, etc.. It's like a sticky gross residue that never gets completely clean. Many people like to dress nice in the area but honestly I would hate to wear something nice here out of fear it would get dirty. We also required new plates as ours had old food stuck to them. Service was not great. Our waiter was somewhat attentive but not nice - the poor guy seemed miserable like he hated his job and did not want to be there. Despite the restaurant being full, he wouldn't come by often when we actually needed something - he even disappeared towards the end and a new waiter had to help us. Food is delicious. Besides the location, their saving grace. We tried the sandwiches and yummy! Fries were also delicious with the spicy mayo. Love the different options they have, overall. They also had some great looking food on the brunch and drinks section of the menu. You can scan the QR code at the table to see pictures of each menu item. Overall was good and we'll be back every once in a while because we love Lido. Will try sitting inside in hopes the tables are decent. Really hope management makes some improvements though!

I ordered the house margarita and it was better than expected. I usually opt for wine here. The salmon was delicious and the yogurt sauce really set it off. Perfect portion, fresh, and overall a great guilt-free option. The bolognese wasn't my favorite dish, it lacked protein, but the sauce was tasty. Whether you're stopping in for apps or a full dinner, the vibes won't disappoint.
