Ambiance is beautiful seating area and their private rooms are very nice for you to bring guests you want to impress . The service staff is especially attentive and friendly like the led badges that they wear , bold and in your face . Food served in such a setting will taste better for sure . Strip away the fancy decor and black uniformed staff, and the theatrics of table side duck carvings , the food would be like anything you could get in a Chinatown in Monterey Park . If eating is a total experience for you then this place is satisfied the hype . You but you may gripe if awesome tasting food is your type .

Had a great experience at Taste of Chang'an in Tustin! Nice ambiance! The service was excellent and the food was delicious. My favorite dish was definitely the Peking duck -- so flavorful and perfectly done. Highly recommend! Tustin 的品味长安体验很好!低调的奢华设计~服务很不错,食物也很好吃。最喜欢他们家的烤鸭,味道特别棒!很推荐!

The food was very good and I definitely recommend it. It's a very comfortable place and the environment was great. I love the roasted ducks very much. They are very good. Also the ducks you put the chopsticks on are very cool.

This was a very fancy and different experience. The service was fast and the waiter gave good recommendations and answered any questions I had. I came here for a birthday dinner and was very satisfied with my experience. The table-side duck you have to call ahead to have and it was delectable. The crispy skin was crunchy and dipped in the sugar was perfect. The duck was tender and went well with all the toppings. The noodles were chewy and were not too spicy. The tea was in this beautiful pot and had unlimited refills. The only downside is that this place was very pricy, but good for special occasions/date nights.

Had came here to celebrate my birthday and what an experience! The ambiance was very modern and had an upscale feel. The service was great and everyone was very welcoming. The table side duck was impressive and our party enjoyed it a lot. The presentation of the food was beautiful and everything tasted great and flavorful. Best part was definitely the crispy duck skin with the brown sugar. The table side duck is reservation only so be sure to call ahead. On top of that the leftover duck can be made in a soup for extra charge or another dish I forget. We did add the soup and it was good as well. The staff was so nice, instead of dessert for birthdays, they gave me a complimentary bowl of noodle that signifies longevity in their culture. I was definitely surprised and very thankful. It was a very nice dining experience!

Chang'an opened up around the end of the COVID era, and I've been coming here on and off for a few years. One thing I really enjoy about this place is the unique architecture, which is beautiful and elegant while still fitting the contemporary feel of the restaurant. The food quality is always top-notch and the service has consistently been excellent. This restaurant is my go-to spot for authentic high-end Shaanxi cuisine. I came this time with my family for lunch, and the space was fairly empty at this hour so we were seated quickly. Menus were brought over along with a complimentary plate of guokui pita, which is always a nice touch. Every dish we ordered was cooked perfectly and tasted just as great as I remembered. I especially recommend the crispy pork ribs, the pork belly sliders, and the lamb stew with pita, which are all regional specialties you don't see often. Their duck specialty is also amazing, but you need to reserve it in advance. It is carved and served table-side, which adds to the experience. If I had to point out one drawback, it would be the size of the tables. The plates here are quite large, and the small round tables can only comfortably fit about three dishes at once. As a result, you either have to eat fairly quickly or constantly move plates around to make space. But this isn't an issue at their larger rectangular tables. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for truly authentic and upscale Chinese cuisine. You will not find your typical orange chicken here. Overall, it's an excellent restaurant, though it is on the pricier side. Everything is served family-style, and you should be prepared to spend around 100-150 dollars per person.

The service here was incredible. People here are so nice. The decor is fancy and I love the ambiance. It's classy and they have custom made chopstick rests that I love. Roast duck: 9/10. But 10/10 for the experience of them setting the duck on fire. They set it on fire before taking it back to carve it into separate ways to experience it - one with the duck skin, one with the duck meat, and another optional added cost for soup. Lotus root: 8/10. Fun experience since they use carbon to give off a foggy effect. Short rib: 8/10. Very flavorful and tender. I love the presentation of having it with the giant bone. Braised short rib with quail eggs: 7/10. Succulent but maybe a bit too fatty. Spring pea shoots: 7/10. Good and necessary but a bit too oily and portion was small. Soup with shrimp dumplings: 6/10. Nothing standout. Some people in our group didn't like it. Noodles: 7/10. Good but small portion. Flavor is okay. Dessert soup tang yuan: 7/10. Small and pricey but still good. Overall, everything was good but with the prices, I admit it's hard to come back here. Still, the experience was excellent.

It was our first time at Chang'An, and we're officially in love. We ordered the Duck with the Fire Show, and it was incredible. The meat was tender, full of flavor, and the presentation was so fun to watch. My little boys couldn't get enough of the Peking Duck and were so sad we could only order one per table. The crispy duck skin with a little sugar was such a treat. We also ordered the crispy beef tongue, and it was surprisingly delicious. It was nice watching my boys enjoy such a delicacy, lol. The vibe is beautiful and classy, and the service was amazing. We didn't even tell them it was my husband's birthday because he likes to keep things low-key, but they surprised us with longevity noodles anyway. It was such a sweet and thoughtful touch that really made our night. Honestly, this place feels like an elevated Chinese dining experience right in the heart of Orange County. We can't wait to come back.

Charcoal tofu. Very flavorful and striking dish.

I really enjoy Chang'an. I've been here at least 3-4 times and haven't been disappointed yet. Caveat: Vegan / Vegetarian eater here. Yes. It's a pricey Chinese restaurant. But, you know this fact before you come here if you've looked at the $$$$ on Yelp. I thinks it's unfair, therefore, to dock stars based on price. I'd rather pay more once in awhile while, especially for special occasions, to enjoy a quiet, full-service, and inventive meal than to save a few bucks and go to your dime-a-dozen Chinese restaurant that is loud, dirty, and crowded. The ambience of the restaurant is excellent. Friendly, professional, and attentive staff with digital name tags move efficiently and courteously to make your meal a dining experience - rearranging serving utensils, taking away empty plates, refreshing your tea, and checking in on your comfort. They serve a complimentary Chinese flat bread paired with peanuts, a spicy sauce, and pickled celtuce stems. Seasonal, rotating menu keeps the food interesting. I'm always impressed by their great vegan options. Complements to the chef and kitchen for creating unique dishes each with distinct flavors and beautiful presentation. Good choice of desserts too, though less vegan options here. Wonderful selection of quality teas. Love this restaurant! Will keep coming here and can't understand why it has such low ratings. Totally disagree.

Duck wonton soup

This place is definitely a break the bank restaurant or a special occasion place unless you're balling. All the entrees are around $40+. We came here for the flaming duck (must make a reservation for it) which is roughly $140. This itself was pretty worth it imo. They light the entire duck on fire for you then they cut it into bite size pieces. They cut half and then they smoke the other half which i thought was really good! Other entrees we ordered crispy squab - 1/5, pretty lackluster compared to the duck. $50 for 1 squab, bits of it were dry. never again. charcoal tofu - 3/5 pretty good but it's just fried tofu that they made black duck wonton soup- 2/5 - soup itself was bland and could only taste the cilantro, the duck wontons were good though green chili chicken w/ hand pulled noodles 4/5 - worth getting again. Good spice on the entree and the noodles had a great que que to it. spicy chicken cubes 3/5 - probably one of the best i've had, the chicken cubes were a lot longer/bigger, but for the price it was not double the quality of other restaurant versions of this. The service was hit and miss during the night. I flagged down two people to order and then right around when our duck was going to be served someone came to take our order. Towards the end of the night it got better and they took our dishes away to box it up for us.

The food was cooked great! It is more on the expensive end but it was worth it. We ordered a Peking duck which was cooked many different ways. We had some that was burned in fire, smoked, and some that was just steamed. The truffle sea cucumber dish was also very delicious. I also recommend the soup which is savory and perfectly seasoned.

We ended it with a dessert of mango and pandan sticky rice. Each dish was bursting with different flavors and textures. They are all plated beautifully. I loved all of it! I found several options, but some were out of my budget and others didn't have great reviews. I came across KPB and spoke with Jerry, who was incredibly helpful and honest. He gave great advice on how much food to order for a group of 18 people. I originally planned to order four party trays (fried rice and three entrées), but he suggested that three trays would be enough. He was also very accommodating and gave me until the morning of the event to finalize my order. I ended up ordering Mongolian beef, Kung Pao chicken, and Young Chow fried rice. Everyone really enjoyed the food, and we even had some leftovers that we were able to enjoy the next day. The food was delicious, the pricing was reasonable, and the service was excellent. Mother's Day treat 4.3* rating out of 3,245 reviews (at the time of writing). Now I know why this place has high rating and the long line after trying it out for the first time. The restaurant looks small from the exterior, but it's actually extended to the back and quite spacious as you enter. Service was excellent, quick, friendly and welcoming. The Pho was excellent, the broth was rich and sweet. The portion of the noodle was just nice for 1-time serving. However, you can have as much noodle (not the broth) re-fills as you like. The beef very tender and melts in your mouth. Will be back to try the Peruvian food next time.

SUP noodle bar has fantastic vietnamese fusion dishes! We stopped by on a busy Saturday afternoon…read moreand waited for about 20-30 minutes before being seated. Our server was super kind and attentive throughout our dining experience. Everything on the menu looked so delicious and unique so we ended up ordering a variety of dishes with a couple of standouts. Anthony Bourdain Pho: 5/5 This dish was easily one of the top highlights of our meal! The filet mignon was super tender, and the flat noodles had that perfect chewy, bouncy texture. The northern-style broth also really elevated the dish as it tasted rich, smoky, and was packed with flavor from the wok seared onions and garlic. This is definitely a must-order! Combination Pho Shaken Style: 5/5 The combination pho was super tasty! Similar to the Anthony Bourdain, the shaken style broth brought a nice northern twist to a classic pho order! The regular noodles tasted fresh and soft yet still slightly chewy, and the rib bone was so tender it fell off the bone easily. This is definitely a must order if you prefer traditional style pho. Lomo Saltado with Cajun Garlic Noodles: 4/5 I had some mixed feelings about this dish. The filet mignon cubes weren't as tender as expected and was slightly overcooked, but the dish still had some strong elements. The aji verde sauce paired really well with the crispy fries and was honestly one of the best parts of the dish! The garlic noodles however were a little disappointing. The Cajun seasoning unfortunately overpowered the fragrance of the garlic while somehow still lacking that savory depth. However, overall the lomo saltado itself was still beautifully seasoned with a nice tanginess that cuts through the smoky and umami taste. House Shaken Fries: 5/5 Yet another standout! The thin, crispy fries were drenched in a spicy tartar sauce reminiscent of the spread from in-n out, and it was topped with generous slices of beef belly that added a rich, fatty texture. Topped with caramelized onions, it really added a perfect sweetness to the dish while the sauce along with the cheese tied everything together without being too heavy. We honestly came for the pho but this dish absolutely stole the show. This is a must-order every time. SUP Noodle Bar absolutely lives up to the hype with their creative take on Vietnamese fusion. From the smoky Northern style broths to the bold and flavor-packed fusion dishes, every item feels thoughtfully executed. The lively atmosphere and great service made our dining experience even better. Will definitely be back to explore more of the menu and reorder our favorites!

Leaving this review after an almost bad experience to help the restaurant or anyone else that may…read morehave eaten here today. 5 stars for fixing the problem immediately for us. We've been here several times before and what keeps us coming back is the quality of the food. Today, they had a new chef cook our food and it was terrible. Green beans were extremely sour (way way too much vinegar). Mapo Tofu had a ton of oil but not enough sauce, so it was just flavorless except the oil. The fried pork chop was over fried where some pieces you can't even bite through. The rice had too much water in it and was mushy. I rarely return food but this time it was so bad we had to let them know. We returned all of our dishes back to them. They let us know there was a new chef today, and they would remake all the dishes for us with the original chef. The replacement dishes were just as good as all our previous visits and it was excellent again! So thanks to the staff for fixing the problem. I'm not sure if they are training a new chef to take over, or as a backup, but they need to be careful as serving bad quality food like that would drive most people to never come back. We knew the food was good from prior experience, so we knew we could ask why the food quality changed. For first time customers, or those that may have ordered to go - if you had bad food today, it may have been a fluke due to the new chef. Service however was a amazing as usual. For all our visits including today, the staff has been kind and always looking for ways to help out and make sure we were having a good experience. So besides the food being good, I would say excellent service is also huge plus here. Don't be fooled with the automated ordering and robot delivering the food into thinking there is no service. The people behind the counter are awesome! Hope management takes care of this new chef issue quickly since their food quality is the main reason people come here. There was a night and day difference between the original food we got today, and the replacement!

Modern Chinese, Ancient Disappointment…read more EverSpring looks great, sounds great, and is priced like it plans to deliver something memorable. Unfortunately, what I'll remember most is how quickly my excitement turned into polite disappointment. The salt and pepper pork chops were...bold. And by bold I mean shockingly salty, like the chef was trying to preserve them for winter. I've had salt and pepper chops more times than I can count, and this version tasted nothing like any of them. Overcooked, oddly flavored, and just completely off. If this was a creative interpretation, creativity may have gone a step too far. Then there was the crispy beef. I say this with sincerity: it was inedible. Not "I'm picky" inedible--burned-breading-that-tastes-like-toasted-mistakes inedible. Each bite delivered a charming note of scorched regret, like someone deep-fried a crouton and called it a day. I stopped eating not because I was full, but because my taste buds filed an HR complaint. And look, if this were cheap comfort food, I'd shrug it off. But this is sit-up-straight-when-the-bill-arrives pricing. For what we paid, I expected at least one dish to make me say, "Okay, this works." That moment never came. The concept is solid, but the food just didn't deliver. I wanted to love it. My taste buds, however, requested an early exit. Everything went to the trash can. Never again.
