Apparently they are implementing self serve kiosks at this location? The wait was a little longer than usual, but I understand - guests are figuring out all the options that are available for them to order and the menu is expansive. Point noted. However, one staff member in an effort to assist the lengthy wait went behind the cash register and took the next customers order. So I proceeded to go into the line behind that customer so I could place my order. Once that customer had completed their order the staff member proceeded to just walk away. Nothing was said or commented that he would be stepping away or just helping that one customer and then re-direct me back to the self serve kiosk line. This is definitely a failure in customer service at this store. You are already automating the ordering process, but now your own staff acts just as blunt and robotic as the self serve kiosk. Usually a great experience here. I'm sure this is not the norm, but communication is important especially within customer service. An acknowledgement or comment to say that he would be stepping away and direct me to the other line would've been appreciated. Since he was not able to take the time to communicate -- I will spend a few minutes of my time to share my feedback and hopefully this can be addressed or is just limited to this one time experience. What? I could've sworn I already wrote a review for this place. I was so glad when they opened several years ago. They have yummy flavors on all their food. I found their taco Tuesday specials a couple years ago and I feel like it's the best deal. Since then, though, they have taken off the salmon tacos. Which is kind of sad. I got some vouchers from my work place so I was able to try CFG! I got some tacos to share, we got the battered fish, cajun fish, shrimp, and chicken. The battered fish was the best, love the toppings and sauce that goes with it. The shrimp was a little ocean tasting. The chicken was also good, it's a pretty big taco, so I got full off of 2. The tortilla is soft and the toppings that go with it are good. I also got the passion fruit drink and it was surprisingly really good, but a bit too sweet personally for me! Thank you Antonio and Kimberly for helping me. I was having a hard time ordering on the kiosk, but Antonio helped me and made sure I was happy! He was super nice and endearing . I love CA fish grill it's worth for the price and never had a bad fish here! This place is located inside a plaza but can get busy since there's a bunch of other restaurants. My go to is the white fish with the garlic butter sauce, go to sides are beans and the zucchini. This time I got brown rice and fries, fries are a bit soggy. I've also gotten fish and chips and tacos, both are solid and large in portion. Overall fresh fish and fast service! California Fish Grill delivered. I was able to satiate my fish craving and food aversions with a tilapia with simple seasonings (+ protein), fiber from the brown rice and some veggies. I decided to try their Everything Protein Bowl instead of my usual order, Grilled Swai with garlic butter with white rice and fries. I've been upping my protein intake and trying to eat healthier. Wow, it was filling. It had Cajun shrimp, salmon, swai (white fish), and grilled chicken with white rice, beans, diced tomatoes, some sort of chili mix, and chopped parsley. It also came with Roasted Tomatillo Salsa. NGL, it's not as good as my usual order, but it packs a total of 56 grams of protein. And it's still delicious.
