The ahi was a bit too fishy. *Fresh seafood caldo was fantastic with great sampling of fresh shrimp, clams, fish, squid, herbs, light toasted angel hair pasta on a bed of savory saffron tomato broth. Big upgrade from our last visit. The manager reached out and invited us back for a better experience so we visited last night for an early dinner. Service was excellent! Coming in early we sat on the patio and really enjoyed the beautiful weather. Ceviche sampler was solid. Everything was pre boiled and a little tough but the flavor was on point after some extra lime. You get a lot for your $$. Cha Cha's food really packs flavor. My wife's salad was so perfectly seasoned and the steak was cooked perfectly. This is one of the better salads I've had in a long time. The Ropa Vieja was the star of the show. Absolutely love their restaurant week menu. For $40, you get an appetizer, entree and dessert. They do take reservations which is great. We waited a bit for our table but then got seated. I enjoy their complimentary chips and salsa. The aquiles was very fresh and light for a hot day. My absolute favorite is their salmon dish!! Love the sauce they use! Such a great experience and such sweet employees...The most important thing that the kitchen is visible for all and it was crystal clean. The food was good and the drink (tamarind margarita was so delicious). For appetizer, we got guac $11 and ceviche $16 and both great. Came for happy hour, joined a group of friends who had already been there a while and who had finished eating but were still drinking. We ordered crispy calamari and shrimp and the steak nachos with a pitcher of sangria. Food was tasty, sangria was especially delicious. Portions are small for the price, even considering it's happy hour. Service was haphazard but seeing as happy hour was limited to the packed and noisy bar area, that's somewhat to be expected. Not expected though was our friends' final order of tequila shots to be downgraded and then to be gaslighted by the staff when the difference was noted. "It looks different because it's been chilled," is not a plausible excuse. Instead of replacing the order immediately, a series of people working there were dispatched to give the runaround. Eventually the shots were replaced but by then the dining experience was soured. Those friends quietly vowed to not return, which is unfortunate because the food and drinks are pretty good but if the customer service experience is frustratingly bad, it's best to take your business elsewhere. read more

The bartender was quick to take our order and get some margaritas in front of us. The large was a great size for dinner and conversation! We got some guac to go with the chips and salsa. I went with the shrimp and crab enchiladas and the Caesar salad and my dad ordered the chicken tostada salad. Our server Kim was super nice, attentive, and friendly. For starters the Caesar salad was yummy but lacking in dressing. The enchiladas, beans and rice were just okay. Ended up biting into a piece of shell from the crab and thought the rice had no flavor. Stumbled upon Chas Cha's on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon. Greeted quickly, the host was friendly. Our group of four were seated next to the kitchen which we were able to view. Our waiter was awesome! Very attentive and friendly, refilled anything we needed etc... The food, the green salsa, was so good I could drink it! The tacos, flautas and enchiladas and black beans were tasty. Their prices are reasonable, offering HH and deals such as two for $14. I had the tacos and they were very good. The steak was well cooked -- still juicy despite being cut up in small pieces. My husband and I love Mexican food, someone recommended this place so we decided to give it a try on one of our date night. At first the service was great, we ordered drinks I ordered Watermelon Margarita large size (never order again)and husband was the DD so he ordered a $6 mango ice tea. We got chips and salasa very nice and tasty. We also ordered appetizer crispy Shrimp and calamari it was pretty good, I wish we got more of shrimp and calamari than the veggies. Dinner my husband dinner was ok he ordered short rib tacos and I order crab and shrimp enchilada it was awful, had no flavor, I kept putting salasa over it unfortunately still didn't work. The shrimps inside of my enchilada were those tiny frozen shrimps. The cherry on top was when our servicer didn't bother show up again once after food showed. The server/bartender was awesome! He even brought out some spicy salsa cause the ones that came with the chips we found too bland. Even the manager was really helpful and even offered us extra chips to help us finish our drinks after the meal. The restaurant is inside a mall that has several restaurants and unless you want to sit at the bar, I would definitely make a reservation or get put on the waitlist and come back. The decor is a little swanky with candles here and there and a good noise level that you can still hear the person two seats away without the music drowning them out. Our server moved some of our personal property without saying a word to us. He then said hello. I ordered the Torta. It was basically a bun with meat in the middle. Recalling what I had read on the menu, I felt the sandwich was missing a few ingredients. I asked to look at the menu again, but our server asked me why? He then refuted what I found on the sandwich, which you can see from my picture, was missing guacamole and salsa. Since he refused to get the menu for me, I chose another item -- taco and enchilada, and the food was great. After our meal, our server took my credit card and kept it for fifteen minutes. He never returned. I had to ask for the manager since our server never came around. The manager did her very best to make things right. I appreciate that. Here are a couple things I would like to say to anyone who is serving me: 1. Do not touch my stuff. It is mine, not yours. 2. That sandwich was not what was advertised. I have a right to look at the menu again to verify what I purchased. 3. Please return to me my credit card quickly. It is mine, not yours. Please value my stuff. I am no stranger to quality Mexican food including tortas. They should be flavorful and juicy. What I got was dry and bland. It lacked guacamole, a creamy sauce, salsa or pico, and cheese. The carnitas was dry and tasteless. There was no seasoning. Salt and pepper would have helped a lot. I found the cheese enchilada was excellent. The beans and rice were also very good. I had the lechón and she had the picadillo (comes with platanos, rice and salad). For apps I had the croquetas and she had the empanadas. And for dessert we both had the strawberries with coconut.
