I just wanted to take a moment to say a couple things about Pinchy & Pals. Bella and Rose are some of the kindest people I've met while dining out. They represent this restaurant with the love and admiration an owner has for their own business. Secondly, let's talk about this lobster roll because this was one of the BEST lobster rolls I've ever had. The meat is perfectly cooked and the garlic butter is to die for. I will be returning back and telling my friends to dine here. Such a great experience, give those girls a RAISE.
Really enjoyed this place. There was something for my whole family! This is right next to AMC, when we went in we were greeted by the friendly staff. They have a huge selection of food but I believe they are most known for their lobster dishes. Their lobster roll was quite nice, but I enjoyed the lobster Mac and cheese the most. Their calamari had really nice batter and a sweet and spicy sauce that paired really well. One thing I really liked was their packaged gloves, I'm guy that always carries food gloves and I was glad that they had their own. One thing I would ask for is for them to check their AC, it was quite hot eating there. Maybe cus we were next to the oven, with the layout of the place. Other then that I had a great experience and will def be back. Until next time!
There has been quite a bit of turnover at The District in Tustin, especially in the main corridor. Pinchy & Pals is one of the newer additions and can be found to the left of the AMC Theaters. It's described as "a playful fast seafood eatery, lobster rolls and coastal comfort food, high quality seafood". Their menu includes everything from tacos, pastas, a bisque, a chowder, seasonal items, desserts, and exotic sounding sides like Shrimp Cheese Fries and Clam Chowder Fries. I wish I could try everything but it's seafood, so menu items are still on the pricier side. I struggle with choices but in the end, we opted to try their signature Lobster Roll and Crab Roll. With each of these orders, the customer is able to select from one of 5 sauces and include unlimited add-ons (green onion, Oldbay, lemon, coleslaw, and cilantro). Make it a combo by adding fries and a drink for $3 (at the time of this review their soda dispenser was out of order). Both rolls exceeded my expectations! The roll was toasted to perfection and the seafood was so fresh and delicious. I def want to come back and try other menu items!
Came here on Sunday around 1230-1pm and finally got to try this place. It is in the Tustin district so parking sucks because it's always packed especially on weekend. The restaurant is clean but small and not a lot of places to sit. The service was good. The fountain soda machine was broken at the time but I bought canned drinks and since the Coke cans were damaged they hooked it up with an extra can of soda so I'll say 10/10 service. The food was pretty good and the portion size isn't that bad. We got two lobster rolls one with everything in and the other plain, two crab rolls one with everything and one plain,one shrimp roll, and crab pasta. The plain ones for my daughter because she doesn't like sauce and likes everything plain. I love lobster and crab rolls so both 10/10. The shrimp roll 10/10 as well. The crab pasta was 12/10 and it was good. My daughter the picky one even liked it. The prices are not cheap but it okay and seems like the standard market price. All in all would eat there again.
We grabbed a quick bite here while waiting for our reservation at another restaurant. We ordered the spicy crispy chicken, which came with a side of fries. The fries were actually really good, crispy and flavorful, although they were a little heavy on the salt. The chicken had a nice crispy texture, but unfortunately, it had little to no seasoning and wasn't as flavorful as I was expecting. Thankfully, the seasoned fries helped balance it out a bit. Overall, it was a decent quick bite while we waited, but I definitely wish the chicken had more flavor.
The vibe of this place is so cute. They did a great job with the decor and creating a unique girly beachside ambiance. Food: The chowder fries were the highlight for me! I would come back for these fries, decently priced and sized as a side (with an order of a lobster roll) and the fries were flavorful & crispy. Even got some pieces of clam. The lobster roll was okay for me. I don't like it drenched in mayo or heavy sauces, my favorite is always butter and lemon, but I felt like this lemon and butter roll was a bit lacking a flavor and I end up dipping it in the clam chowder fries for some extra sauce. Service: 10/10! The lady at the register was so sweet and I loved how they packaged the food for us with even a couple jolly ranchers in the items and branded napkins and the cutest bag. The soda machine wasn't working so they gave us cans of soda and even gave us a few extra for the road. I love how this is an order and sit situation so it feels more casual and we can get in and out pretty quickly. TLDR; if you're coming for the lobster roll I wouldn't necessarily recommend but I did like their clam chowder fries and may come back to try some of the other sides.
I had such a great experience at Pinchy & Pals! If you're a seafood lover, this place is definitely worth checking out. I tried their lobster roll and was honestly impressed by how fresh and flavorful it was. The lobster was generously portioned, tender, and packed with flavor without being overly heavy. The lobster mac and cheese was also a standout. It was super creamy, cheesy, and the perfect comfort food pairing. Even if lobster isn't your thing, they have plenty of shrimp options that were amazing like the coconut shrimp and shrimp fries! What I loved most was the quality of the seafood and the generous portions. Everything tasted fresh, and you can really tell they put care into their dishes. 3.5/5 stars overall! I think I need to give this place one more shot cuz I feel like they just cooked my meal a bit wrong. This restaurant is SUPER cute inside. I loved all the fun, sea-themed decorations. The restaurant itself is really nice and new and clean and cute! My husband and I ordered Spicy Crispy Chicken and a Garlic Butter Shrimp Rice Bowl. First, the positives. The fries were so good! Great flavor, extra crispy, fluffy on the inside. A textbook perfect fry! The spicy crispy chicken was pretty good too. Moist, crunchy, and actually spicy! It was done well. The Garlic Butter Shrimp Rice Bowl was where it went south. The shrimp was cooked well, but the sauce was not. I think the garlic was cooked too dark/burnt as the sauce was really bitter. I think the sauce was also overseasoned as it was very salty. I thought the lemon might balance the sauce out but the sauce was overwhelming. I ended up not eating much of the sauce as it was just too much. The service was okay! You order on a kiosk. The food took a little wait to come out as well. Also the spicy chicken said it came with spicy aioli but it didn't come with any. When we asked the server, she said you had to order it. But she gave it to us anyway! Overall, I think they just messed up my sauce! Everything else was good.
The lobster brioche is the only good item; everything else is just average. Pinchy OG (Lobster Roll): They give a decent amount of lobster (you can add more for $5), and the bread is toasted soft, warm, and crisp. Still, if I'm comparing, the lobster brioche served during lunch hours at Blue Magpie in Arcadia tastes better. Spicy Crispy Chicken: Average. It's basically a chicken breast sprinkled with chili powder, and there's nothing special about the crunch, juiciness, or tenderness. At $13, I'd rather go to Jollibee. Pinchy Bisque: Average. There's a small amount of risotto at the bottom and a few thin strands of what seems like crab meat. First off, this spot has great food; they have a solid variety of seafood-centric sandwiches, pastas and appetizers with their main feature being their lobster rolls. I enjoyed their "Spicy Sue" which is their take on a Maine style Lobster roll with spicy aioli and Old Bay seasoning. Generous portion of delicious lobster and they nailed the seasoning The couple times I have gone however, the wait was teetering on almost half an hour with little to no other customers. The service staff that are doing the real work have always been great/friendly but I've noticed that some of the leadership do not share the same vibe. Overall good experience though, check them out for the food.
Tried out Pinchy & Pals and overall had a solid experience. The concept is fun, the branding is memorable, and the spot itself has a clean, cool vibe. We ordered a mix of lobster rolls, shrimp rolls, fries, coconut shrimp, grilled shrimp skewers, and the bacon clam chowder. The standout for me was easily the bacon clam chowder--rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. Definitely the best thing we had. The coconut shrimp was another big win, especially with the kids--they loved it. The rolls were fresh and good, but for the price I was expecting a little more "wow." Service was quick, everything looked great, and overall it's worth checking out if you're craving seafood, especially for the chowder.

The signature lobster roll was packed with 3 oz of lobster and came in a warm, buttery, toasted roll. We went with the spicy aioli and loved it. The lobster tasted really fresh, and the aioli added a nice kick without taking away from the lobster. I also like that you can customize it with different sauces and toppings. The Mahi Mahi tacos were probably one of my favorites. The fish had a nice crispy coating but was still fluffy and tender inside, and the lime crema went really well with it. The calamari was another one that we kept going back to. Super crispy with a really good texture and flavor. We also tried the Crabby Pasta, which was really creamy and rich with 3 oz of crab in a lobster cream sauce. If you like creamy seafood pasta, this is a good one to try. The lobster bisque was another standout for me. You can really taste the lobster, and it had a nice richness to it. And if you have fries, definitely try dipping them into the bisque! Overall, we really enjoyed everything we tried. The seafood tasted fresh, portions were good, and there were several things I'd order again. Definitely adding Pinchy & Pals to the list for our next seafood craving!
Pinchy & Pals has a great lobster roll! I recommend trying it with the aioli sauce, it was so flavorful. The bread was toasted and buttery. The crab pasta was delicious! Real crabs were used, the texture of the pasta was perfect and I loved how creamy it was! This spot is a great addition to The District with indoor and outdoor seatings for a casual meal, I would come back for the rolls

The bun is buttery and lightly toasted, soft with a little crunch. Lots of real lobster meat, not just tiny shredded bits. It's fresh‑tasting, not over‑sauced or heavy. Service was fast, perfect for a quick lunch. Definitely coming back when I'm craving something satisfying and no‑fuss. read more

The crabby pasta was hands down the bestttttt item that we got. It was hot (hotter than soup honestly) and comforting and crab was fantastic. It was a wee bit salty but the lemon they gave helped.) The calamari itself was good; I know because often, it was pieces of it by itself (breading wasn't great; it was falling off instantaneously). Fish and chips breading was better but crispy. Fries were very crispy and seasoned. The clam chowder was ok but there was kind of a tang, like too much lemon. I don't think our combo came with it but the lady gave us 2 cups for drinks and offered us balloons, which was fun and thoughtful. I also really like their setup: there were individually packaged gloves if needed (no restroom available); jalapeños (?) and they actually packed a punch!; and vinegar. The ladies were super nice and I super appreciated that they put effort into the tray presentation (you can just see that everything was lined up and had a place) and they brought it out to us as we sat outside. Honestly, just mediocre. I get the price is high for the location, but nothing I would go out of the way for. $85 with tax, had to eat outside with bugs all around. indoor was cramped and right when sun was setting in dining area wasn't ideal. Calamari was the best thing I tried here. Would probably not be returning. read more

If you're craving seafood but don't wanna deal with the hassle of ordering + waiting forever... Pinchy & Pals in Tustin is the move! You can order through kiosks so it's super convenient, and the food came out surprisingly quick too. We tried the lobster roll combo, soy garlic noodles, fish & chips, and the clam chowder fries. The lobster roll was buttery + packed with lobster. Fish and chips came out HOT and crispy. The noodles had that sweet savory garlicky flavor, and those clam chowder fries were my fave. Glad we have even more dining options at The District now! Such a solid casual spot for a quick seafood fix! read more
I usually never get lobster/ seafood rolls because they just seem so pricy, but it didn't seem bad here. We got the pinchy flight which included lobster, shrimp, and crab roll with fries. We also got a side of clam chowder. The staff was incredibly nice and we had a nice chat with her. Also, the inside decor was amazing. A ton of seafood themed decorations and I laughed at Mr. Krabs greeting me! The shrimp roll only had 4 shrimp, but they were big and juicy. I love the flavor on the shrimp and after we finished this roll we knew that we were in for a treat for the next two. The crab roll was honestly my favorite but I might be biased because I like crab more than lobster. It felt very fresh and they honestly give a good amount crab here. The lobster roll also had a ton of lobster meat and it was a delight to eat. The dipped the fries in the clam chowder and that was a combo I've never had, but something I'll always try in the future if they offer it! I really liked the fusion of flavors. read more
I love The District at Tustin Legacy! So many fun spots and great eats for the whole family. Stepped into Pinchy & Pals today, totally drawn in by their seafood rolls. I'm a huge lobster roll lover, and honestly, that's one thing we're missing in the Inland Empire That's why I had to get extra lobster Bonus points for their spectacular outdoor space. This place had so many options from seafood pastas to classic lobster rolls and more! We got a little bit of everything but was blown away by the diversity in the menu! This location is its own little shop with indoor seating located in The District! A Hidden Gem in Irvine Amazing Lobster Rolls Without a Trip to the Beach! I stumbled upon this adorable little seafood spot, Pinchy & Pals, while exploring Irvine! The cute pink sign caught my eye right away, and the cartoon crab logo was just too adorable. Lobster Roll -- Absolutely Amazing! The best part? It's served warm! The bun is toasted to golden perfection, crispy on the outside and soft inside, and generously stuffed with sweet, tender lobster meat. Topped with a sprinkle of green onions, every bite is pure happiness. No wonder it's one of their bestsellers! Crab Meat Pasta There was actually a generous amount of crab meat mixed into the creamy pasta. Rich, satisfying, and full of seafood goodness! Tacos Crispy corn tortillas filled with shrimp and fresh salad. A lighter, refreshing option if you're looking for something less heavy. Clam Chowder Creamy, rich, and comforting, though a little on the salty side for my taste. It comes with crackers, and I imagine it would be delicious with some crusty bread, too. Pinchy & Pals is a new Instagrammable seafood shop perched up next AMC at the District in Tustin. They offer lobster, crab, and shrimp rolls, and seafood pastas and soups. The place is cute and service is decent. And let me tell you - the fries are so crisp and delicious. With that said, I may need to give this place one more try because my lobster roll tasted strongly of the sea. Not in an inedible way, but not in the freshest, juiciest and plumpest way I dreamed of when I read the other reviews. Besides that, the brioche bread was incredible. If they served that as a butter toast at a bakery, it'd be a treat! I just wish that for the price of over $25 after taxes there were a bit more of lobster to give it that beautiful plump bite that makes lobster rolls feel satisfying. It may be the proportion of knuckle meat (near the shell, almost tastes and looks like shrimp) was maybe too high in this roll compared to the claw and leg meat. With that said, their dipping sauce was also excellent (and had me almost down all my fries while trying to diet...yum!). All in all, I loved the carbs at Pinchy & Pals. I would give this another shot in case it was an off day given the raving feedback. Their pastas looks interesting too. And the store itself is very Instagrammable and cute! read more

This is a cute spot! It is on the small side but well decorated and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. We got calamari as a starter and lobster rolls with a side of fries for our entree. Calamari- Flavorful breading and fried beautifully with a light crisp. The interior is chewy and soft. Lobster Roll- Served fresh with a generous amount of meat. The roll is fluffy and buttery. The mayo sauce has a nice brightness to it. Quite tasty overall! Fries- Hot and crisp with a delightful seasoning. Pairs perfectly with the lobster roll. Great experience overall! read more

It's just eh. Nothing spectacular. I wanted to try something different, but it just didn't hit the way I hoped. The food was not very flavorful and the service was non-existent. They took my order and went back on their phones. The restaurant was HOT! Need to get better A/C or if you plan to done, come when it's cold. Will I be back? Probably not. read more

The new lobster roll spot in the district have flavorful lobster roll and bisque soups. Their interior are decorated super cute with retro vibes. There are plenty seats outside and some seats inside as well. The combo was the best, comes with lobster roll, drink, and side of choice. My personal favorite was the lobster bisque as it had a creamy texture with not too strong seafood flavoring but enough to make it super tasty. The service was nice and helpful! read more
Love their signature rolls! First you pick your protein, then a sauce, then unlimited add-ons. My favorite is the lobster rolls with classic butter and green onion, oldbay, and lemon. Also a big fan of their calamari! I've tried it with the spicy aioli (recommended) my first time here, and with the Thai chili my second time here. Both were great. Service during my experiences here have been wonderful. You can order at the kiosk, but the staff is always happy to answer any questions I have or recommend popular items. Tried Pinchy & Pals in Tustin and was honestly impressed. The lobster roll was super fresh, and the bread was crisp and buttery, which made every bite really satisfying. You can taste the quality, especially with the melted butter and lemon on top. My favorite thing on the menu was easily the lobster grilled cheese dipped in lobster bisque and the soy ginger noodles come with shrimp, onions, sausage, and more! If you're craving lobster, they even have lobster pasta, and lobster tails by themselves. The staff was nice and gave me a couple options of their favorites too. They're also a few different things to do around this spot, so it's a good spot for a date or just hanging out. I'll definitely be back for their lobster roll and lobster grilled cheese melt! Service wad good. I ordered the lobsta roll and an order of just lobstaa tails. The staff was nice to let me know that with 2 orders, we can get a free upgrade. He was even nice enough to let me know that he can do half & half of the soup. So we chose half clam chowder and half lobster bisque. Prices were decent. I do prefer the original Connecticut style for my lobster roll. Like just the warm butter and lemon. They added some Cajun seasonings. I dunno if it was to help with the taste. I took a bite and noticed that the lobster wasn't that fresh. The Cajun made it taste a bit better. The lobster tails order came in 2. However, it was really small. The greens that we got wasn't that fresh. The fries were good. The soups were pretty salty. Also, it wasn't even hot. Overall, a nice place to grab some simple lobsters. read more

My first visit was definitely memorable... just not for the reasons I was hoping. Did I finish my lobster roll? Yep. Every last bite. But let's be honest--I was so hungry I probably would've eaten my receipt too. The lobster roll was decent, and the portion of lobster was actually pretty generous for $25. The salad looked like it had already lived a full life before arriving at my table, but the real plot twist was finding a hair in my lobster bisque. Nothing says "seafood experience" quite like discovering something that definitely didn't come from the ocean. Would I come back? Probably not. The good news? The service was fantastic. As soon as I walked out of the AMC theater, I was instantly drawn to a brand-new fast food spot with a big crowd gathered outside . Then I noticed they were running a "2nd item 50% off" deal--of course I had to check it out! And guess what--it was my favorite Lobster Roll! As a total "visuals + foodie" type, I fell in love right away. The place has that bright, coastal beach vibe--super cute and totally Instagram-worthy . Girls, dress up a little because every corner is photo-perfect! Highly recommend: Lobster Roll - Super generous with the lobster meat! You can even choose the heated version, which I prefer--it's way better than the "cold filling, warm bun" version I had in San Diego. Came by during soft opening. Offering buy one get one fifty percent off. We ordered the OG and spicy sue. The looked just as good as they taste. The lobster was a perfect texture. Super fresh lobster. The breads fluffy and not over buttered. Seasoning for spicy sue was on point. The French were crunchy!! Friendly service! The cashier was familiar with their menu. This place just opened up at the district right next to AMC. I have never had a lobster roll to compare this to, but the OG was packed with meat and flavor. During their soft opening this week, they are offering a buy one get one 50% off the rolls. The only downside was that I kind of was still hungry after eating one, and at $23 a pop, I wasn't going to grab a second. I totally understand that lobster is expensive, so that is why the price is steep. read more
