A great poke spot for the price and amount you get. The fish are big chunks and do not taste fishy at all and they had plenty of toppings to choose from. Could easily be a 4 or 5 star place but the day I went, the rice was just so bad. Given the rice was the base of the entire dish, it really ruined the experience for me. It was hard and almost tasted like old rice. Staff were friendly and there's plenty of seating options indoors and outdoor by the plaza. Will try and come back again and hopefully the rice will be better next time.

By far - my favorite poke in the OC. Everything is always so fresh and they're always so friendly. Every time I've visited, the consistency is always there. I usually get the smallest size (2 proteins) and tbh, it's a great amount of food. I wished there was a size in between, I usually can't finish it. They pack the box, always! My go to is always one of their seasonal salmon/tuna. Parking can be annoying on the weekdays during lunch. Theres indoor and outdoor seating.

Poke Dot is good. However, they have raised their prices a lot over the past 3 to 4 years. It's overpriced IMO (hence the 3 stars) but it's really the only poke place nearby if you work in the area so this is your only option. There are similar places in Irvine that give the same amount of food but for less price. The sauces are bland compared to previous years when I would come here once a week or so. Customer service has been efficient. Always busy though of course during the lunch rush during the week. Ample parking. Clean restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Overall - if you're craving poke and in the area - this place is good but it's just overpriced.

I've been on a bit of a poke kick lately, and since I didn't feel like heading out, I decided to get Poke Dot delivered. I'm always a little nervous about raw fish traveling, but this was absolutely delicious and arrived perfectly fresh! * Freshness: The fish quality was top-tier. Even with the delivery time, the tuna and salmon were firm and chilled, which is exactly what you want. * The Mix-ins: I love how they distribute the sauce--it wasn't soggy at all. Every bite had a great balance of flavor without drowning out the taste of the fish. * Portion Size: They were quite generous with the scoops and the toppings, making it a very filling and satisfying meal. The delivery was quick and the packaging was sturdy, so nothing leaked or got squished. It's definitely my new go-to when I want a healthy, high-quality meal but want to stay in. Whether you're dining in or ordering at home, Poke Dot is incredibly consistent. Definitely one of the better poke spots in the area for quality and portion size!

Heard about this place on TikTok and it looked so good I had to try it. Worth the drive! Such generous portions. And was so delirious!. I got spicy salmon , salmon and forgot the other spicy fish. Service was fast and courteous also.

Solid poke bowl that is LOADEDDDDD. I love their salmon here and the scoops they gave are lowkey a lot. Would definitely come back bevause they hage Cheetos as well!

I love Poke Dot!! It's located in a plaza next to the church I attend. I love the variety of options they have to build your own Poke bowl. I especially love the crab meat and seaweed. The ladies who served me were nice. They even have a stamp card - every purchase you make, you receive a stamp and after 10 stamps, you get a free bowl! The inside seating is quite limited so my friend and I went outside. It was nice. Thank you, Poke Dot!

great customer service! shauna was so kind and helped us with a smile and made our bowls very fast. the poke specifically the salmon tasted very fresh and they had a good variety of different toppings making it very customizable. the inside is open and offers a good amount of seating as well. (sorry if i spelled the name wrong)

Poke Dot is the most generously portioned poke shop in Irvine that I've found. Their regular bowl ($17.45) gives you three scoops of protein, with nice big chunks of fish. I like that crab meat, avocado and seaweed salad are available at no extra charge. It was so big that I think I could probably just get a small bowl next time. I had placed my order online and for pick up during the busy lunch hour (where the line was to the door). I had ordered two bowls and unfortunately the bases for them got mixed up, so I got my husband's white rice and he got my salad and brown rice. Oops. I might have given Poke Dot a higher rating, if not for this. If you come during weekday lunch, you may want to order online. Or maybe it's safer to just get in line and make sure your bowl is made the way you want.

Large Bowl 5 scoops

Stumbled upon this place on my way to a tutoring class and it was pretty convenient for us. It was literally 2 minutes from the tutoring place and we could not be happier. We went in at 4:30pm and obviously it was not a busy time. The place was well-maintained, clean, and had plenty of seating areas. We ended up having a large bowl with a white rice as a base, and 5 scoops of delicious proteins (1 spicy tuna, 2 salmon, and 2 shrimp). For the sauce, we tried spicy mayo which was perfect (just the right amount of heat), and the toppings we picked our usual likings (green onion, seaweed salad, furikake, and masago). Honestly, we didn't expect to eat this much food before our dinner time, so we only managed to eat half and took the rest home for later.

Great portion sizes with a variety of toppings, ability to customize half rice and salad, add several fish proteins. Plenty of tables as a casual sit down spot. This location has plenty of parking with several great shops nearby like Paderia for cookies/pastries.

Food: 3 Protein Poke Bowl (Half Brown Rice and Chips) Price: $17.45 Overall: My friend recommended this place to me. We came on July 4th and they weren't close until 4pm! Upon arriving, I like that they have a variety of fish options. Also, the portions are very big; each scoop of fish was generous! I got the regular, and they stacked up on the fish and sides. The avocado here was also free (IN THIS ECONOMY? SAY LESS). Not an authentic hawaiian spot but this is a solid casual poke with a great amount of indoor and outdoor seating!

Dropped by for a poke bowl and even though we found a parking spot up close, I could see the lot filling up during peak times. If that happens, there is additional parking behind the shopping plaza. Just wanted to throw that out there because don't let the parking deter you from trying this place out! THE FOOD. - Poke Bowl (Large) | The large is large! It comes with five scoops of protein and several options of toppings to choose from. Everything was fresh and delicious. If you're a salmon lover, definitely get a few scoops of it! THE DRINK. - Pink Lemonade | Sweet and tangy. Get it. THE RETURN? Yeah, I'd come back. I really like the portion sizes and the food quality is everything.

Do they take apple pay?

Yes, now with apple pay and google pay

Is this the only location or are there others?

Do they have gluten free options (ie gluten free soy sauce)?

Yes they have GF soy sauce, Spicy Mayo, and Sesame oil as GF sauce options. Note* per employee The Imitation crab is not GF.

Do they let you get extra toppings? Ex: Avacado 2 scoops instead of 1

There is a charge for a 2nd scoop of avocado. (But they'll give you a 2nd scoop of crabmeat at no charge - I know most other places would charge for the crab.)

My…read morewife and I wanted to try something healthy for lunch today, and she suggested this place, Pokeworks. Sounded like a nice, modern deli or maybe a grill. Boy, were we wrong. I walk up to the counter and the kid working there--who looked like he was barely out of middle school and couldn't even bother to take his airpods out--asks what I want. I look at the menu board, which is incredibly confusing, and I just order the Spicy Ahi bowl because I like a little kick to my food. I figure it's like a spicy chicken or cooked fish taco bowl. I watch the guy scoop some rice, put some vegetables in, and then he reaches into a container and scoops out a bunch of pink cubes. I thought maybe it was marinated tofu or something that was going to get popped into a microwave or a toaster oven behind the counter. But no. He just slaps a lid on it and hands it to me. I took it to a table, opened it up, and picked up a piece with my fork. It felt cold. And slimy. I took a bite, and my jaw hit the floor. IT WAS COMPLETELY RAW FISH. I walked right back up to the counter and told the manager, "Hey bud, you forgot to cook my lunch. This fish is completely raw, it's a major health hazard." The kid literally looks at me, blinks, and says, "Sir, it's poke. It's supposed to be raw." Are you kidding me?! I don't care what hip millennial trend you call it, you cannot serve people uncooked seafood in this country! I asked to speak to a manager, and some young woman comes out and tries to explain to me that poke is a traditional Hawaiian dish of raw marinated fish. I told her I don't care if it's from Hawaii or the moon, I am not trying to get salmonella or a tapeworm on my lunch break. I work hard for my money, and I expect my food to pass through a heat source before it hits my plate! They refused to put it in an oven or even a microwave for me, and they wouldn't give me a refund because they said the food was prepared correctly. Unbelievable. I ended up throwing the entire $18 bowl right into the trash can and going to the restaurant down the street where they actually understand how to cook meat. Save your hard-earned money and avoid this place at all costs unless you want a one-way ticket to the emergency room for food poisoning. I will be contacting the local health department first thing Monday morning. Utterly ridiculous.

I built my bowl with a half white rice, half salad base and chose crab, spicy crab, avocado, white onion, cucumber, and corn for the toppings. I appreciated that avocado didn't cost extra. For protein, I went with double salmon and eel. The salmon tasted fresh and was easily the best part of the bowl. The eel was fine, but nothing particularly memorable. I had it all with the Wasapon sauce, which added a nice creamy kick without overpowering everything else. I also added green onions, fried onions, garlic chips, and masago. The only thing I'd point out is that the masago portion was pretty small, and extra costs more. We didn't try any of the drinks, although they had a decent selection available. The total was a little pricier than I'd usually like for poke, but signing up for their rewards brought the price down enough that it felt more reasonable. Parking was easier than expected. The lot was almost full, but we still found a spot without much trouble. Service was friendly and efficient throughout. Overall, it's a solid poke spot with fresh fish, plenty of customization options, and quick service. Not the cheapest bowl you'll find, but I'd come back, especially for the salmon.

Lately, I've noticed a decline in quality and quantity of the fish. In my handrolls, I've noticed there is barely any fish. Basically, the front of the hand roll looks full. Texture of some of the raw fish was questionable at times. Grilled fish is usually lightly seasoned. I love this location. You can't see the beach but you are close enough to stop by one. Lots of seating. Decent cocktails. Parking can be hit or miss depending on the time/day. Service is also hit or miss. Not that anyone is awful. If you're looking to try something new and ask for a recommendation, you can tell if someone is having a bad/long day. Pacific Catch did not disappoint!…read more We landed one of the coveted outdoor dining tables for lunch, and the whole afternoon had the perfect Aloha Friday vibe. We started with a pitcher of Mai Tais, which were definitely a little boozy in the best way -- and somehow lasted the entire length of our casual two-hour lunch. Our server, Erin, was extraordinary. Friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience feel easy and relaxed. My table guest and I split everything, which was the perfect call. The guaca-poke was so yummy and a great start. Then we shared the two-taco platter with sea bass and steak, plus a side house salad. Full flavor, fresh, and the perfect size to split without feeling too heavy. And because we clearly make excellent lunch decisions, we finished with a one of a kind dulce leche spring roll . Worth it. Will I come back? Yup. Pacific Catch continues to be a solid go-to.

Like Gene, the serrano ahi poke bowl with wontons was the "go to" for every visit. Another fan favorite was the guac-poke with wontons. Well, wontons were removed from the menu altogether, and the serving size of the ahi is half of what it used to be. Not sure if this was a local decision or corporate decision, but it was a bad one! Second faux pas on the new menu is the removal of black beans with the taco plate. Now your options are fries or a salad. Who orders fries or salad with tacos? Black beans are so cheap. Even if you charge $1 for them, you're making money. Doesn't make sense to remove them. Oh, and the 3 taco plate is no longer an option. You can only get 2 tacos now. Third questionable decision ... eliminating the miso salad. The bartender told me that the house salad on the menu is the same as the miso salad. They mean the same thing. When the runner delivered what I thought was the miso salad, it looked different. So I asked her if this was the miso salad. She said no, that is no longer on the menu. So .... ya. Another big change for me was the removal of my favorite wine, the chenin blanc. The other whites are subpar IMO and not worth the drive over there ... especially with all these really poor menu changes. So now you know why I'm looking for a new happy place. If you know of any open air, fresh fish places, please DM me. Thanks! P.S. I went back and forth between giving 2 stars and 3 stars. The employees here are really exceptional. And I didn't think it was fair to give the whole restaurant 2 stars because their culinary executive is absolutely clueless.
