Great place for some delicious poke. I got the 3 scoop and it was still under $20! Unbelievable. Loving the free avocado and the sauces. Ended up trying the honey wasabi and spicy mayo. Wish they had eel sauce but not a deal breaker. Portions were satisfying and service was great. I'm coming back for more.

Poke Dot was super busy during the lunch hour. I was nearby and decided to stop and check out this place. My navigation took me to the back side of the center where there was plenty of parking. It looked like it was more crowded in the front parking lot. it was pretty lively and loud inside with a lot of customers eating and talking. There was plentiful outdoor seating as well. There was plenty of staff working and assigned to each section of the toppings. This is a good move to accommodate all the customers during the busy times. I chose to get half-and-half with brown rice and the mixed greens. I got the large with five scoops of fish, including salmon, blazed, salmon, and octopus. For the sauce I went with House sauce, medium, ponzu, and spicy mayo. I got almost everything that was available including avocado, which is not extra. This is amazing because I haven't been to any other poke place that offers this. There are other good toppings included such as crab, seaweed salad, and Masago. There's even crumbled hot Cheetos if that's your thing. Everything tasted very fresh, however, the fish was a bit bland, even though it was mixed with the sauces. I think I'll definitely have to ask for a sauce on the side next time. I had some for lunch and then I had plenty of leftovers for dinner. I'm definitely putting this on my lunch rotation.

I stopped by this poke spot after hearing some good things about it online and was not disappointed. Parking is plentiful and the inside is clean and quaint. The staff was kind and efficient. I got the large bowl which was around $20 which comes with five scoops of protein. I got two scoops of the limited spicy salmon and 3 scoops of regular salmon. They also have so many delicious toppings such as crab meat, avocado, seaweed salad, hot cheeto flakes, and so much more for no additional charge. The ponzu was a delicious topping and the owner was so nice and helped out on the line too which I appreciate. Overall great value, will definitely be back soon!

A great poke spot for the price and amount you get. The fish are big chunks and do not taste fishy at all and they had plenty of toppings to choose from. Could easily be a 4 or 5 star place but the day I went, the rice was just so bad. Given the rice was the base of the entire dish, it really ruined the experience for me. It was hard and almost tasted like old rice. Staff were friendly and there's plenty of seating options indoors and outdoor by the plaza. Will try and come back again and hopefully the rice will be better next time.

Heard super great things about this place and I just had to check it out as I am an avid poke lover! There was no line when I came in and the worker was so friendly. I was so surprised on how heavy the food was even though I got a small size. It definitely fed me for two meals. The poke itself was so delicious and there was a huge variety of toppings to pick from. They also have a stamp card that you can get a stamp every time you visit.

Get the most bang out of your buck by getting the large because they pack that thing full. The taste of the food is quite bland but just ask for more sauce or add your own (they have soy sauce packets there too). Service was quick and there's ample seating.

Went during lunch and was helped right away. Even with the lunch rush, the line goes by fast. I loved the huge selection of fresh fish and toppings. I got the Maui Tuna as one of my choices, and it was absolutely delicious. I ordered a large bowl and THEY. LOADED. IT. UP. Seriously, you will be full. The fish was fresh and tasted fantastic. The only small issue was that the music was a little loud, so I think the employee had a hard time hearing me. I'm not taking off any stars because it honestly could have been on me for not speaking loudly enough. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'll definitely be back!

Poke Dot is good. However, they have raised their prices a lot over the past 3 to 4 years. It's overpriced IMO (hence the 3 stars) but it's really the only poke place nearby if you work in the area so this is your only option. There are similar places in Irvine that give the same amount of food but for less price. The sauces are bland compared to previous years when I would come here once a week or so. Customer service has been efficient. Always busy though of course during the lunch rush during the week. Ample parking. Clean restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Overall - if you're craving poke and in the area - this place is good but it's just overpriced.

By far - my favorite poke in the OC. Everything is always so fresh and they're always so friendly. Every time I've visited, the consistency is always there. I usually get the smallest size (2 proteins) and tbh, it's a great amount of food. I wished there was a size in between, I usually can't finish it. They pack the box, always! My go to is always one of their seasonal salmon/tuna. Parking can be annoying on the weekdays during lunch. Theres indoor and outdoor seating.

I love Poke Dot!! It's located in a plaza next to the church I attend. I love the variety of options they have to build your own Poke bowl. I especially love the crab meat and seaweed. The ladies who served me were nice. They even have a stamp card - every purchase you make, you receive a stamp and after 10 stamps, you get a free bowl! I'm always a little nervous about raw fish traveling, but this was absolutely delicious and arrived perfectly fresh! * Freshness: The fish quality was top-tier. Poke Dot is the most generously portioned poke shop in Irvine that I've found. Their regular bowl ($17.45) gives you three scoops of protein, with nice big chunks of fish. I like that crab meat, avocado and seaweed salad are available at no extra charge. It was so big that I think I could probably just get a small bowl next time. I had placed my order online and for pick up during the busy lunch hour (where the line was to the door). I had ordered two bowls and unfortunately the bases for them got mixed up, so I got my husband's white rice and he got my salad and brown rice. Oops. I might have given Poke Dot a higher rating, if not for this. If you come during weekday lunch, you may want to order online. Or maybe it's safer to just get in line and make sure your bowl is made the way you want.

I work in irvine and usually love a quick lunch. I online order and it is always ready when i get there. Their poke is very fresh and they are generous with their portions. Sauces are super good, and the place is really clean. So if you like to sit or take it togo, this place is amazing for both! Definitely give it a try. read more

When they get it right - the poke bowls here are awesome, but they are too expensive compared to others of similar quality. When they don't get it right - makes me never want to come here again. Inconsistency - that is their main problem. Each person making the bowl makes it different. Sometimes you get less fish, other times less sauce, or the sauce doesn't get mixed well enough, or not enough sauce to coat all the fish, where it doesn't disappear with the rice. The worst part is when you get old fish and you have to use the bathroom a few times after. This happened to me a couple of times when coming here. There is ample seating inside, but seems like most choose to sit outside. The outside seating is nice; sitting inside is weird as often its just you and the employees. If it was not so pricey, I would have been more lenient with my score, but I cannot give them more than a 3 given the inconsistency at their price point. read more

Inside has a good amount of seats. Came for dinner and there wasn't anyone here. So no line. That was convenient. So I was happy. I've tried a lot of poke spots. But this one was unique. They had Maui tuna which was unique from what I've seen. Most seafood isn't mixed with anything. They also have hot Cheetos for toppings. I was so happy. I love hot Cheetos. I had to add that topping. It made my poke taste waaaay better! So I was happy to try this place out. When you wrote a review for the first time they give you half off your bowl and when you check in a free drink. So not a bad deal. I'll definitely come back when I want poke in Irvine. read more

Personally, poke dot is my favorite poke spot in the area, but I'm also biased because I've been coming here for years! Like others have said, their portions are big, bigger than most places. Their prices have gone up, as is expected, but portions are still good. Fish is always fresh and I like their toppings, including the hot Cheetos dust! Pokedot? More like Poke-YASSS. I walked in craving something fresh and left feeling like a satisfied sushi-loving sea otter. The fish here is so fresh it probably had a gym membership and a skincare routine. I built my own bowl like a culinary architect, stacking salmon, tuna, and all the crunchy goodness I could find. By the end, it looked like a masterpiece Gordon Ramsay would weep over. The staff? Super friendly. We ordered poked dot through Uber eats for lunch. I picked this spot because of the reviews. The price is decent and depends on how much protein you want. But the quality is not great to be honest. The fish is not fresh and had a fishy scent. Maybe I'm picky or being spoiled with Hawaiian poke. It all depends on the person. Quick lunch with more protein sure. But for flavor and protein quality skip and go somewhere else. read more

I travel to Irvine about once a month for work. I usually hit Poke Dot for lunch or dinner while I am in town. Super healthy, super fresh and it's not expensive at all. It's a food stall in a strip mall so don't expect much. It's always clean and the staff is always friendly. Be warned, it get really busy for lunch. Come early or after 1:00 for a shorter line. read more

Stopped by for a poke bowl and got there before there was any crowd. I got a small poke with two scoops of salmon (had to pay extra per scoop). I then got a bunch of toppings like edamame, avocado, crab salad, furikake, crispy onions, masago and green onions. Honestly, it wasn't too bad, but not the best I've had. It does satisfy the poke craving. Decently priced. Lots of parking where this spot is located at. read more

I'm not a picky person and I'm always understanding--especially since I've worked in food service myself--but the service here was truly disappointing. We were the only customers, greeted the staff politely, and were met with a cold "What do you want?" No friendliness, no welcome. I mentioned it was my first time and I was reading the steps, but got no response--just silence and clear frustration. When I started ordering, food was thrown into the box without care. I politely asked for sauce on the side and was met with an eye roll. Toppings were tossed in, and the order pushed aside. I didn't ask for anything complicated, and I was polite the entire time. Unfortunately, the attitude made the whole experience uncomfortable. I really wanted to enjoy this visit, but I left feeling like I wasn't welcome at all. Very sad read more

Decent poke spot. Love that they give pretty good protein portions with free avocado. I feel like it's rare to find a place that doesn't charge extra for avocado. Unclean. I was there 7 minutes before opening. I decided to wait I looked forward to trying it. So once I realized they weren't open I went to Starbucks to kill time (located a couple of doors down). At 10:29am I walked back to Poke Dot, the same lady preparing the poke bowls walked over with keys to unlock the door -she then went back to the food, set the keys down and put on gloves. touching the gloves with her unclean hand to put them on. Keys are so DIRTY! I was disgusted- these unclean practices seem to be trending around SoCAL. It has to STOP! These people take Food Safety tests and still don't care enough to practice safe sanitation practices. She knows that I saw her and STILL decided to do it. After seeing this I left. I decided to take my business elsewhere. read more

My bf and I came here for an early dinner Friday. Parking was easy and there wasn't a line and there's plenty of seating inside and out. I thought it was cool that they offered Blue Fin Tuna and Yellowtail as an option for proteins (+$1.75 per scoop) and that they don't charge extra for avocado. They do however charge $15.45 for a small bowl (two scoops) which was a stretch considering I got salmon for both scoops and it didn't taste fresh enough for me to want to order a $15 small bowl again. Service wasn't anything special. The girl making our bowls looked like she did not want to be there (didn't even look up and body language just seemed off putting) My bf and I paid $34 (before tip) for two small bowls, which is a lot pricier than other surrounding places in the area. read more

Poke Dot opened in Irvine to bring fresh, made to order Hawaiian poke to Orange County. The idea was simple. Quality fish, big portions, and a build your own line that lets every bowl come out exactly how you want it. Pick your base, choose your proteins, load your toppings, finish with a house sauce. Over the years we have become a go to lunch spot for the Irvine Business Complex and the John Wayne Airport area, with a line that moves fast and regulars who come back two and three times a week. We keep it fresh, we keep it generous, and we keep it yours.

I always go with the green tea rice, two scoops of crab meat, and 3 spoons of salmon for my fish. I have tried the scallops and octopus, but I always prefer getting thrice the quantity of salmon. The crab meat and spicy tuna is complimentary, which is also a nice plus. Then, they offer a variety of veggies, fruits, and toppings. My favorites are always the edamame, cucumbers, seaweed salad, and ginger. For sauce, I go for the house on the side as I do not like to smother my plate. The service has always been quick and friendly. Quick maybe because I do eat late and come when they are about to close, lol. Food is always great but customer service stinks. When I visited there were 6+ people working and out of them all, one girl gave me great service. The rest seemed quite disinterested in any sort of customer satisfaction. On top of that, they said at the counter they hate making the wraps and it would be brought out to me shortly. I enjoyed this concept of being able to customize your own poke bowl. If you like poke, this is a good place to go. Salmon, yellowtail, tuna, and shrimp were the selections of protein; all fresh. Nice location, but parking can be a challenge during peak hours(like all places in So. Cali.). If only a hour for lunch, then you would want to consider taking an early or late lunch to avoid the peak hour. read more
