Came here on a Saturday afternoon to check out this hyped burger spot inside South Coast Plaza. Parking was easy, and the setup is a classic walk-up diner. You order at the counter, get a buzzer, and grab your food when it's ready. I really liked the atmosphere. It has a cozy diner feel with plenty of seating for small groups. One unique touch is the small market inside that sells a variety of imported snacks, including items that are hard to find in the U.S. What we ordered: Regular Cheeseburger - 6/10 A solid but pretty standard burger with a brioche bun, aioli, lettuce, cheese, and grilled onions. It tasted fine, but nothing stood out, especially for the $11 price tag. Tokyo Dog - 7/10 I actually enjoyed this more than the burger. Topped with furikake, mayo, pickles, and bonito flakes, it had a fun combination of flavors that made it more memorable. Overall, I expected a little more considering it's from the owner of Father's Office, which I'm a fan of. It wasn't a bad meal, but it didn't quite live up to the hype. I'd still be open to giving it another try.
Super cute and clean decor, love the colors and the cute pooch on the signage. I went there specifically for the Dole Whip, and it did not disappoint! The swirl included vanilla and was so, so tasty and refreshing on a hot day! The pineapple Dole Whip was perfectly done! Everyone has been very friendly. There's a convenience store section that has great snacks and sandos that are hard to find anywhere else. It's nice and casual if you want to get away from the pricey extravagance from other spots. I can't wait to go back and try the unique menu that infuses flavors! I highly recommend!
I saw this place on the South Coast Plaza website, so we decided to check it out. It's in the spot where Boudin Sourdough Bakery used to be, so it can be tricky to find, especially if you're coming from the mall side, as the store before is still being built and those construction walls stick out enough to block Tiny's from view. Walking in from the mall side, it took a few seconds to get our bearings, as the first thing we saw at the end of the dining area was a little store for snacks. Doing an about-face when looking at the snacks and drinks, you'll find a place to order, and then pick up your food. There isn't much room where you place your order, so it's a little confusing about where to stand and whether there are two lines or one. On a Sunday afternoon, there were several families with strollers, so it got crowded fast. The menu board reminded me of the 1970's peg menus that you could get at a high school sports concession stand or a race car track. The order was pretty straightforward: 2 burgers, fries, a large soft drink, and swirl ice cream was $40. Definitely South Coast Plaza prices. We were given our drink right away, along with the swirl ice cream and then a pager. You can pick up bottled or canned drinks that appear to be imported. There's also a cooler with premixed canned alcoholic beverages. I don't drink, but they do have fountain Diet Coke, which is always worth an extra star. As I mentioned, the place was pretty busy, so we sat at the counter that has windows facing the food prep area. We could see that our food was done before our pager went off. One thing to know is that the place is mainly concrete, which fits the style of menu board. That means if you throw in 2-3 families with children, or babies, it's loud. The seating reminded me of the seating outside a Costco food court. We got food, and it was OK. Both the burger and fries tasted familiar, but you can't quite put a name to the place. The fries were crispy, which I know some people like. They were a little salty for my taste, but that wasn't a deal breaker. The burger had that 50s-60s walk-up hamburger stand taste, which I believe is what Tiny's is going for. Overall, it wasn't bad, but it's not a go-out-of-my-way-to-eat place. South Coast does need more true quick service restaurants, so it's a welcome addition. And you could tell by the number of families coming through that it's going to be popular.
I had high expectations from Tiny's Burger since it's from Sang Yoon of Father's Office fame, known for not allowing food mods or ketchup. Tiny's is a burger restaurant with a Japanese-style convenience market, and unlike in LA, you can modify your food. My favorite items were the Dole whip, salt and vinegar tots and the dill ranch. The cheeseburger was ok, a little on the salty side. The nuggets were pretty standard, but that dill ranch definitely helped (you can choose either dill ranch or tiny sauce for the nuggets). Unfortunately, it's one of those places where you get charged $1 extra if you want a side of dill ranch or tiny's sauce. Staff was terrific. The cashier was cheery and helpful and the a staff member offered to take my tray when she saw me getting up to throw stuff away. South Coast Plaza needs more reasonably-priced restaurants, so Tiny's is a step in the right direction.
My friends wanted to come here for lunch and I was skeptical due to all the low ratings. Turns out this place is super good and I would definitely eat here again! We were a group of 4, got there right when they opened so no wait. When we left a little after 12 it was getting busy. Peruse the snack/drink section, order & pay at the counter, they give you a buzzer, find your table. The seating isn't the most comfortable, we sat at a picnic bench type table that was super hard and wobbly. They played awesome 80's music our entire visit and we were all jammin out to the hits! All 4 of us went with the cheeseburger, and we also ordered fries, miso mac & cheese, salt & vinegar tots, chicken nuggets, and a dole whip to share. For my husband and I it was $50, but we also bought 3 drinks, which were I think $4 each. I had a White Peach Oolong Pepsi, and it was surprisingly good! I also got a melon drink to take home - soooo sweet! Cheeseburgers were good! My husband thought it was a tad too salty, and I thought it was a tad too sweet, probably from the grilled/caramelized onions. I wasn't mad at it though. Fries were crisp and had great seasoning. Tots were very vinegary and SUPER crispy, we all loved them. Chicken Nuggets were pretty good, but definitely needed to be dipped. The 2 dipping sauces they have are great, my favorite was the dill ranch, if you love dill, you will love that sauce. I think the standout item was the miso mac & cheese, it was so ooey gooey and packed with miso flavor. I ate so much of it that I got full and didn't finish my burger. We aren't in this area often, but I would definitely eat here again next time we are. I want to try a hot dog and their chili next time. And of course, get more miso mac!
Cute convenient spot that is good to stop by before heading across the street for a show. Was heading over to Segerstrom after and wanted a quick bite before the show started in a half hour. Hadn't been here since it was a Boudin. Ordered a cheeseburger and grabbed a Thai Tea from its fridge of interesting looking drink selections. People were nice and food came out pretty quick. Burger was tasty with a nice chutney style sauce and fries were crispy. No complaints, and a great convenient spot in a semi rush.
Tiny's is a casual Asian inspired burger spot at South Coast Plaza from chef Sang Yoon, who is responsible for the famous burger spot in LA, Father's Office. Burgers here are on the smaller side, sides, hot dogs, and Dole Whip are all offered here as well. They even have a mini grocery store with sandwiches, Asian snacks, and drinks. Cheese burger $10 (4 oz. patty) - This juicy burger consisted of a dry aged patty, American cheese, lettuce, dill pickles and grilled onions . A caramelized Gochujang sauce with Kewpie mayo is served on the burger and elevates the flavor profile. Chili $6 (100% beef) - This consisted of 8 oz. of an all beef chili with a little bit of kick. The consistency was a little unique in that it had almost paste like, but the taste was good. Overall Tiny's is a good casual burger spot. I do wish the burgers were a little larger at the given price point. They have quite a bit of seating inside as well as some outdoor seating.
They are located inside of South Coast Plaza, on the first floor, near the carousel. This spot has a food court vibe as well as a selection of snacks and drinks displayed in the front of the counter like a convenience store. The menu is fairly short, which makes the ordering easy. I tried the Cheeseburger, Fries, Miso Mac & Cheese, and Salt & Vinegar Tots. The Cheeseburger was tasty, although it was all the salty side. The Fries were salty as well. The Tater Tots were crispy, but the salt and vinegar seasoning wasn't my favorite. The restaurant was clean, had lots of tables available, and I appreciated that they had a self-serve water station. I would go back to try some of the other items on the menu.
Tiny's is a nice spot to grab lunch when you're shopping. They have ready made food, as well as food to order. Their staff is friendly and helpful. Parking is close and plentiful. Their snack selection is so interesting and I've also tried a number of their drinks..... But I keep going back for the Dole whip!
Chef Sang Yoon's OC experiment begins. It's located in the old Boudin spot at SCP. It is indeed a burger & fries place with a kombini that includes beer and wine. There's an adorable picnic salad, 2 types of egg salad sandwiches on milk bread and a chicken salad on squaw bread. More on these later. Solid burger. Not a smash burger so going double makes for a really hefty meal. You'll need a nap. Great fries and the house made ranch is more herby than Prime Pizza's. The mac & cheese was fine. My companion loved the miso hit. I didn't think it was miso enough. The Tokyo dog was a good time. The dog was great...snappy and beefy. And I quite I enjoyed having okonomiyaki toppings and sauces on top. The tuna melt was fine. Probably more cheesy than I would prefer. If it's milk bread, the griddle zaps all that away, so you can't tell. Tuna could have used more seasoning and acid. Grabbed some kombini items to go. The chicken salad was fine...lots of herbs, but I felt it was missing something. Egg salad was great..though there are is a halved hard-boiled egg shoved in that should also have been seasoned, but the milk bread is good. Would come back for the burger, fries, dog, and the dole pineapple whip. Twist with Straus vanilla soft serve if you don't want pure pineapple happiness.
Interesting concept, my girlfriend wanted to try this place, it's on the first floor of SCP, across from Calo's. Initially when you walk in, it feels almost like a convenience store. There are rows of chips and drinks. You order at the counter and they deliver your food. The place has a cute vibe, it's very clean. There are several tables to sit at( we went around 11:30 am on a Tuesday). We tried several of the dishes. The best was the chili dog- flavor was great. Second best was the cheeseburger, the dressing was unique, but I liked it. The Mac and cheese was very rich tasting, not my preference but others liked it. The tater tots were better than the French fries, but both were good. On return, I would order the chili and the tots.
We are huge fans of Father's Office and had high hopes for Tiny's but unfortunately this new establishment just didn't do it for us. Everything we tried was just average with the exception of the Tokyo hotdog. -The cheeseburger was nothing special. We were hoping for a cheeseburger that would be on par with Father's Office burger or more amazing. But nope! -Fries: again average and salty -Miso Mac and cheese: we appreciated the effort of a fusion mac n cheese but we didn't taste the miso. A regular mac and cheese would probably have been better. -Tokyo hotdog: this was unexpected but delighted. Anything with kewpie Mayo, furikake, and bonito flakes is good! Think takoyaki but a hotdog version. The hotdog was average but was nicely dressed in Japanese flavor. Service was slow but it's still soft opening. We ordered at the counter and the food wasn't ready until 25 minutes later. When we picked up pour food ạt the counter we were told the mac and cheese were sold out, but then another employee told us it will be ready in 8 minutes. What's another 8 minute after having been waiting for 25 minutes. To our surprise the mac and cheese came out after 2 minutes. Communication still needs work. The store itself had a nice vibe. It's bright and open with lots of seatings. The convenient store concept is pretty cool!! Plenty of Asian snacks and drinks to choose from.
I came here today with my friend for lunch and it wasn't too busy. This place has a ton of cool snacks, and drinks! I ended up buying a few. You go up to the counter and order and receive a buzzer when the food is ready. I ordered the cheeseburger and miso mac & cheese. My friend also got the cheeseburger, but with a side of fries. The burger wasn't bad, but honestly, nothing stood out. The miso mac & cheese didn't taste like miso to me. It was fine, but honestly, a little overpriced. I also asked if they have a highchair and they do not. I saw other families keeping their kids in their stroller to eat. The inside was very clean and it was spacious. Service was also nice. Honestly, I'm glad I gave this place a try but I probably won't be back. Nothing about the food stood out. Maybe if I'm craving unique snacks I'll come back.

It was pretty packed when I went on a Saturday around 6pm, but the line went by super fast and we didn't wait too long for our food to come out. The Tokyo dog was good! All beef hotdog topped with bonito flakes, kewpie mayo etc It was really tummy, I added chili on top and it was delishhhh. The cheeseburger was pretty good, sad that there's no tomatoes but there was grilled onions which were fire. Salt & vinegar tots were FIRE, the server recommended to get the dill ranch for the tots because they paired really well together and he was right asf. The dill ranch was AMAZING with the salt & vinegar tots. The flavor on it was PERFECT, and it was perfectly cooked. Super crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The cup of chili was very good, there were chunks of beef and it was the perfect side for our cheeseburger, hot dog and even our tots. The miso macaroni was very underwhelming... it came out lukewarm almost cold. Didn't have much miso or cheese flavor. I think this spot should've done a better job emphasizing that they are in the "soft opening" phase given the number of comments about service! The workers here were incredibly nice, just still getting the hang of things. I came on a weekday and my order came out in less than 10 minutes. This is also located in SCP so expecting bargain basement prices seems odd. I mean, the gelato spot two doors down is pushing $10 for a scoop... Onto the good: the aesthetic is super cute and there is tons of seating. They are also very dog-friendly with the outdoor seating and even sell dog toys and treats in their little market section. I loved the assortment of chips -- lots of unique flavors! I personally felt the portion sizes were more than enough. I could barely finish my burger + tots. Everything came out fresh and I really loved the salt and vinegar tots though the flavor is pretty mild. Overall, I'm excited to see this at SCP and I hope it does well! Tiny's Burgers is an adorable, spotless little spot in Costa Mesa with a fun selection of Asian snacks up front -- cute touch. We went during an off-peak time so it was easy to order and settle in. We tried the cheeseburger, Tokyo dog, and salt and vinegar tots with their dill ranch dipping sauce. The cheeseburger was solid but didn't stand out from other burger spots. The Tokyo dog was interesting -- think okonomiyaki flavors on a hot dog, which is a fun concept, though it didn't fully wow us. The tots were enjoyable but the salt and vinegar flavor was pretty subtle, almost hard to detect. The real standout was the dill ranch dipping sauce -- genuinely delicious. Just wish the portion was bigger for the price; you get a small container that disappears fast. read more

New spot as of June 2026 when we went. Main building of South Coast Plaza facing east. You can see it from the outside. Order at the register, they give you a buzzer, and you go to the counter when it buzzes. Mostly indoor seating, but there is some outdoor seating. Slow service when we went. Awkward to be ignored for a minute when standing and staring at the staff, then when finally acknowledged, they got the order wrong, but luckily I caught it before the order was processed. Tokyo dog, cheeseburger, side of fries, and side of miso mac was just under $40 and arguably not enough for two adults and a toddler. Not the best of value, but everything was flavorful and seemed high quality. read more
First off, I love how this spot is right by the parking lot outside, so you don't have to navigate that labyrinth of South Coast to get here! Ok, this place is so cute! I loved the little section of dog treats, as well as the variety of fun Asian snacks! I'm going to have to come back for both! Anyways, I got the cheeseburger and salt & vinegar tots, and both were soo good! There was a lot of lettuce in my cheeseburger as you can see, but I actually liked that, since when do I get a chance to eat all those greens?? Annnd it was tasty! Tiny's is a new concept from the chef behind the famed Father's Office in LA. It is located at South Coast Plaza where Boudin used to be. However, don't come expecting anything like Father's Office. This is totally different thing. It's part Asian convenience store (snacks, candy, drinks, small bites) and part fast casual restaurant serving American comfort food with Asian influence. Think dry aged burgers with gochujang, Tokyo style hot dogs, tuna melts on milk bread, miso mac & cheese, Dole whips, etc. They even sell grab-and-go egg sandos. I went on grand opening and ordered a cheeseburger, chili dog, and tots. Everything was enjoyable from the food, to the service, to the 80's music. Prices are reasonable too. Update: Came back and tried the tuna melt and fries. This was a miss for me. I found the tuna salad to have too much mayo. And because they use milk bread, I thought the sandwich was too soft and toasty enough. Fries were crispy but nothing special. The housemade dill ranch was nice though. read more

Excited to finally try this place. Nestled in and easy to park section in southcoast Plaza. Interior design is super cute and filled with decent amount if seating. They had a bunch of exotic snacks stocked up as well. Staff was really helpful at assisting us with our order. We tried the cheeseburger with chilling, Japan dog, tater tots with dill ranch (extra), and egg salad from the Grab n go section. Burger was solid. Tasty, caramelized onions and melted cheese. Chilli was tasty but super messy. Japan dog had a nice crisp skin, sauce and bonito flakes were fun and gave it a nice umami taste. They can cut if in half if you want to share. GET THE TOTS. Probably my favorite part of the meal. Super crispy outside and fluffy inside. They top it with this zesty salt and it's addicting. We opted the dill sauce add-on -- it's good but you don't need it. Same opinion for their house tomato sauce. Normal ketchup is perfect with this. I also just dipped it in the egg salad and the zesty salt was delicious with the creamy egg. Egg salad, a little bland, but it was great a s a topper for my burger and tots. read more
From the mastermind behind Father's Office, comes a cute burger spot/ Japanese konboni located in South Coast Plaza. There are a bunch of Japanese snacks in the front before you get to the register. They even have egg salad sandwiches! We ordered a dry aged cheeseburger, salt & vinegar tater tots, and grabbed a couple alcoholic drinks from the adjacent fridge. Once we paid, we received a buzzer. We found seats and waited for our food was ready to pickup. The tots are perfectly fried with a nice tang from the vinegar powder. The cheeseburger was loaded with lettuce, grilled onions, pickles, and Tiny sauce on a soft pillowy bun. It was tasty! My husband and I enjoyed sharing the meal! Next time, we will need to try their miso mac & cheese! It's a super cute spot in South Coast Plaza, I'm sure they will do well in this spot. read more
Excited for this new Smashburger spot that recently opened at south coast plaza! Love that it doubles as a konbini with fun snacks, drinks, and even alcohol! When I came they actually ran out of Smashburger so I was a bit disappointed! I ended up getting a chili dog and fries instead which was delicious but it took nearly 20 minutes for it to come out. If I knew it was gonna end up taking the same amount of time as a burger, I definitely would have went ahead and ordered the burger. I feel like 20 minutes for a chili dog was just too long :( The place is huge and there's definitely plenty of seating. I'll come back to try their Smashburger once they've sorted out the kinks, they also have miso Mac n cheese which I also want to try! read more
Was excited to try this spot and the food was moderately priced and looked tasty. But the tater tots was unbearably salty, I couldn't finish it. And the burger was on the opposite spectrum and was extremely bland. Tried adding the Tiny's sauce which wasn't bad, but overall was way too salty to eat. Hope the chef can address the seasoning. read more

Went here with some friends. There is a direct entrance from the parking lot directly just below the bridge on the east side of the mall. I thought the layout of the store was different and refreshing and they had a lot of items I haven't seen before. The cashiers were also very friendly and helpful. There was a very short line when I went on a Sunday. I ordered the burger and it tasted very unique to me in a good way. The salt and vinegar tots were kind of salty for me. With its cute name, trendy logo, and clean interior, this place is enough to catch anyone's eye. I dropped by alone because I was starving while shopping. I debated getting a cold sandwich from the fridge, but decided I'd rather have a warm burger for $9 than a cold sandwich for $10, so I ordered a hamburger.The biggest downside to this place is that they don't have combo meals. Since you have to order drinks and fries separately, I skipped the fries and just ordered a drink. I'm not sure if refills are allowed because the staff behind the counter serves the drinks. I should have asked! The person who took my order was so kind and sweet, which put me in a great mood.After getting my buzzer, I went to find a seat. They have regular tables, but they also have counter seating facing the wall, making it a great spot to dine alone. The wait time wasn't super short, but it wasn't as long as In-N-Out either. When I saw the burgers coming out, I got ready to pick it up, but the person who took my order earlier (who seemed to be the manager) brought it right to my table. It was a small gesture, but I was so grateful and it made me feel happy again.The hamburger was incredibly fresh, and the patty was beyond warm--it was actually hot. Probably because it was freshly cooked, right? It was absolutely delicious.Looking at their Yelp reviews, the overall rating isn't that high, and I'm guessing the reason is the price. The food was clean and tasty, and the service was friendly, but I was still hungry after eating a $9 hamburger. I'm not even a big eater, but it didn't even fill me up halfway. Of course, prices in a mall are bound to be high, but other places in the same mall, like the udon shop, didn't make me feel like I was getting shortchanged for the price. This place seems to pride itself on high-quality ingredients and freshly made burgers, but at the end of the day, the most important thing is whether it can actually satisfy people's hunger. There is nothing more frustrating than paying a premium and still leaving hungry. There is only one reason I can't give it five stars: the price! This is located in the corner of South Coast which means parking is not too difficult! The food is just okay. By far the Tokyo dog and miso mac and cheese were the best things we ordered. I love a good tuna melt but this tuna melt had a very strong sour taste? The chili dog and french fries were also just ok. There was plenty of seating in the restaurant and I liked asian convenience store they have attached. Side note, I didn't notice it but my boyfriend said the restaurant smelled strongly of vinegar. read more

The Boudin space has been transformed. Since it's part convenience store, there are interesting things to look at while you wait for your food. It took about 15 mins to get my to-go order, and it was closer to closing. I can imagine it taking longer during the day. The burger was good and tasted fresh. However, there was no sauce offered, including for the tater tots. There was no ketchup dispenser or packets, at least, which you'd expect for a menu with burgers, hot dogs, and fries. Since the staff left the counter right after bringing my food, I didn't want to wait for someone to come back to ask if they have any sauce. I do like that they have a water dispenser. read more
Love the concept. They have Asian snacks I have never seen before. From Thai, Taiwanese, Japanese ect. I only tried snacks but they have freshly made burgers section. Everyone seems to be lining up for that. Located next to Calos kitchen. Plenty of parking space and the sitting is open overlooking Calos restaurant. read more
Tiny's took over the Boudin spot at South Coast Plaza. My friend and I opted to go at opening for lunch on Saturday and there was a small line before the restaurant had even opened. I signed up for the rewards program through Toast before the visit. We got cheeseburgers, fries, tots, mac & cheese, sauce and dill ranch. The burgers dare I say are better than Father's Office. The fries and tots were perfectly crispy. The m&c was more liquidy than I had expected. Also got a pineapple swirl was delightful. I'd love to go back to try other things on the menu and in the grab and go. read more

Came here after hearing good things about his other restaurants. The snack and drink area was cool, they had a lot of good chips and candies that are hard to find in a normal store. Waited about 15 minutes for our food. Mac and cheese was good. My wife said the chili dog was one of the best she's ever had. The Tokyo dog was good, not great. Overall the food was good but not excellent. Also pretty pricy for a hot dog. I don't know if I'd willingly go back here if I was in the area. read more

I think I might have gone on an off day which I totally understand! And I'd totally be willing to give it another chance but for now, this is just my honest review. The salt and vinegar tater tots were good, but I didn't really taste any vinegar in them (I'm sure it's evaporated or something but I definitely think having extra vinegar would be great option!!) The cheese burgers were good! But I wished I could taste the sauce a little more in the burger. Miso Mac and cheese was so disappointing though :-'( I think mine was very different than the other pictures I've seen on yelp. I tasted 0 miso and honestly almost just tasted like velveeta :-'))... In terms of quality, I think the food was great but knowing that each item should taste unique like miso or vinegar, I was disappointed in that area. What got me here wasn't even the burger -- it was the fact that it was being described as a Japanese convenience store situation inside South Coast. I'm not a huge burger person. I like In-N-Out, I like a few smashburger spots, but I don't usually crave burgers. The convenience store concept and Japanese goods were what sold me. It also helps that this took over the old Forever 21 space, so parking was actually easy for once. You can park on the outside and walk right in without having to get swallowed by the mall, which already makes it more appealing. The branding here is really cute. Giant windows, deli-style counter, simple menu, clean color palette, cute dog theme -- the whole setup is just very well done. I also appreciated little details like the "fill your stupid water bottle here" sign. It's still pretty new, so it wasn't busy when I went, and service was good. I ended up trying a bunch of things because I'd heard the chef from Father's Office was behind it, and I've been wanting to try that burger forever. The cheeseburger was good -- pickles, caramelized onions, good bun, solid flavor. I only ate half because I was sharing, but I'd probably try a double next time since it wasn't huge. I also got the Tokyo dog, which was just okay for me. The hot dog itself had kind of a wrinkly/dried texture that I wasn't sure was intentional, and the sweet teriyaki-ish flavor on it was a little too sweet for me. Not terrible, just not something I'd reorder. The miso mac and cheese was really good though. Big noodles, fresh, not too heavy or overly rich. I also tried the **chili** because people said to get it. I'm not really a chili person, so I'm not the best judge, but it was all beef, rich, and definitely good for what it was. I just personally don't know what I'd do with chili beyond taking a few bites and saying "yep, that's good." I finished with the Straus soft serve, plain with no toppings. Since it's made with that Straus milk, the texture is a little different -- not that super smooth Pinkberry/Yogurtland type of soft serve. It had a slightly grainier, more natural dairy texture, but I still liked it. All in, trying a burger, dog, chili, miso mac, and soft serve came out to around $45, which honestly felt pretty fair for trying that much. I also appreciated small things, like them giving me separate spoons for the mac and cheese and chili so the flavors didn't mix. That kind of detail doesn't go unnoticed. Overall, I'd come back. I liked the space, I liked the concept, the burger was good, and it feels like a place I'd keep trying more things from. read more
