I've always seen TK Burgers, but it was just one of those places I always drove past over the years and was neither interested nor did I ever give it any thought to be completely honest. The business park/plaza I work at does an annual tenant appreciation lunch event where they order catering for us. Last year they did In-N-Out which was awesome, so I was a little bummed out they didn't do it again this year, but it ended up being a very pleasant surprise. At face value, a cheeseburger from TK Burgers really isn't anything special, I gotta admit. However, once I sunk my teeth into it, I was actually really impressed. Delicious charbroiled patty, fresh produce at all the right ratios, and the best part to me? The bun. At first I thought the bun was going to be dry as a bone and crumbly, but it's actually soft. The property management company sent out an email saying there were still burgers left, so I ended up getting a second burger. Hell yeah moment. Anyway, I was in the area yesterday and ordered a cheeseburger and it was just as good as the last time I had it awhile back. Actually, it was a little better last time because it was free haha. Overall a very solid, simple, straight-to-the-point cheeseburger with an excellent bun. According to their website, they have a bakery make their buns with their secret/proprietary recipe. It's not a place I would drive out of my way for from Anaheim, but if I were in the area or if I lived nearby, I would definitely stop in from time to time. read more

This used to be one of the best burger spots in OC. Unfortunately, after my visit this past Sunday, I left pretty disappointed. I placed my order about 5-8 minutes before arriving, and while I appreciated how quickly it was ready, it may have been sitting for a while because both the burger and fries were completely cold. And for fry lovers, cold fries are the worst. When I walked inside, the restaurant was also extremely dirty and had an unpleasant smell. After over 15 years of patronage I think I have to say goodbye to TK Burger. Anytime people talked smack about TK burger I would defend this place, but my experience today prooves things have gone downhill. I called to place my order for the mini meal. The woman who answered the phone did so with the most unenthusiastic "hello???" as if the call had just woken her up. When did we decide to stop answering business phones by stating the name of the business? When I got there, the woman at the register didn't greet me. No smile, no "hello"....I told her I was picking up a phone order. She took my payment and moved the bag that was on the counter toward me and said "this is it" all without ever looking at me. She looked miserable to be there. I had to remind her that I had ordered a drink, to which she said "oh yeah" and she moved a cup toward me. Between the phone call and this I never want to see this sourpuss lady ever again! I remember this place having fun music that matched the surf/skate vibe of the sticker covered walls, but now there's no music, it's dark & the people sitting in the dinning area in silence seem sad and depressed and you just faintly hear the spanish music the cooks in the kitchen are listening to. The mood at TK Burgers has become "someone died and we are in mourning".... it ain't good! (if someone from the TK Burger family did pass and that's why people are sad my sincerest condolences and apologies) When I placed my order I specifically asked for it to NOT have onions. Guess what? When I got home by burger had onions! The fries were also so underwhelming I threw them away. When fries manage to make you sad that's pathetic. Went back to TK off Bristol tonight for the first time since my pops passed. TK was his favorite burger and my favorite burger spot growing up near Huntington and costa mesa. Ordered my double cheeseburger medium rare with mayo only. I add mustard and ketchup myself. Let the meat speak for itself. And my god. This is a tasty burger. Got a side of onion rings and TK sauce. Still the best burger I've ever had. Did they switch bakeries? The bun isn't the same. Still good burger to bun ratio but I miss the old soft, potato style buns they used to get. After having tried TK Burgers in Mission Viejo, I realized there was another location near work. Love to come here for a SOLID cheeseburger with fries, for the price they can't be beat even compared to In N Out. This places just has their consistency and quality down with absolute speed.. In N Out lost their touch ages ago when it took 30 minutes to get a cheeseburger. I can come here on lunch, and be in and out in absolute reasonable timing. Service could be a little friendlier, but I can understand the frustration of handling a lunch rush with a line out the door. Parking here is a little tough if you come during lunch.. there's like 8 spots in total. That aside, if you prevail then it's worth a visit for a very good cheeseburger all for less than $10, in today's economy.. that's a bargain my friend! read more

We were looking for a lunch spot close to the LAB and ended up stumbling upon this place. We came right before the lunch rush, so we had no issue finding parking (the parking lot is relatively small). There's also a decent amount of tables both inside and outside. I ordered the hamburger with fries, and my husband ordered the hamburger with sweet potato fries. I swear, we barely got our waters and ketchup to our table before they called our number already LOL. I don't know how they made our order so fast, but I am not complaining, haha. I really love how simple the burgers are, because you really taste the flavor of the meat. The regular fries were nice and crispy; the sweet potato fries were half crispy/half soggy. Portion of fries was small, but I'm trying to diet so it kind of works out, lol. We were in the area, so we decided to give TK Burgers another try. The burgers and the fries this trip were a lot better than I remember, and I'm glad we stopped in. The burgers weren't much to look at, but they sure did taste good. They were well seasoned and cooked right. I liked the simplicity of them. Burgers are best when they are not festooned with blue cheese crumbles, onion strings, aioli sauce, and so forth. The fries were good, too. She and I both got fountain drinks, but beer is also available. The drill is you order at the counter, and they call your number when your order is ready. It works. It's a casual place. This location has the OG 90s beach burger shack that everyone loves. Truly, the menu is still the same, which honestly brings back melancholia of one's youth and the so many great things that come along when you take that bite from your burger and fries. They have added the Vegan version which it's a good alternative if you are vegetarian (they do grill it on the same grill as the meat patties) and the variations of sides like sweet potatoes fries, tatter tots, onion rings and regular potato fries. Let's not forget the corndog and their famous ranch sauce. What I also like about this location is their breakfast menu (is not offered at all locations), a good alternative for the rest of the restaurants around the area.
